//------------------------------// // Chapter 2 // Story: Baby... Anon-a-Miss?? // by EncoreP //------------------------------// *Knock* *knock* "Come in." The melodious voice of the Sun Princess' human counterpart coming from the door infront of them was enough for the group before they entered. Principal Celestia was looking through the window, at the snowing neighborhood beyond, with her back turned towards the group of teenagers. She didn't quite notice the uneasy-ish expressions of some of the girls, or the young form of one of her students who originally was from a foreign land who was peacefully napping in the arms of a certain animal-lover girl. "How may I help you?" Celestia's voice, even in another world, felt royal. Her composure, her soothing voice, her peaceful nature towards her students, was regal in a way. The question seemed demanding, yes, but Twilight knew that it was merely her otherworldly teacher being her natural self. "Good afternoon Prince- err, Principal." Twilight bowed to the ruler of the school. Celestia turned her chair around, now shock on her face, which was then overcome by relief of seeing an old friend in a long time. "Twilight Sparkle! It's nice to see you!" Celestia sprang from her seat, kept something a little bigger than the size of her hand on her desk, then rounded her desk and finally hugged the Friendship Princess. "It's nice to see you too Principal Celestia, but I'm afraid the traditional greeting-stuff has to wait." She replied. "Twilight, for one, please just call me Celestia. And two, what is it that wants my attentio- Oh! Who is that little one right there?" The pony-princess couldn't open her mouth on time, since it had already caught the principal's eye. Celestia glanced over her shoulders, at the little sleeping beauty being held in Fluttershy's arms. Before Twilight could answer, she vanished in a blur of white and sky-aquamarine, and in the blink of an eye, she was right infront of the slightly startled baby-pink-haired girl. "Oh my god she is so cute!" Celestia slightly poked her chubby cheeks and playing with her average-length hair. Although, it didn't take less than a moment for her to recognize who the child actually is. "Wait, is that-.!" Celestia was confused for another moment, before it calmed down to a look of understandment. "Of course, another Equestrian magic-related situation, I see?" She calmly questioned the girls with a genuine smile on her face. "I'm not even gonna ask how." The princess was unamused at this point. She knew better than to question her monarch-teacher's counterpart, when they almost share the same traits, be it from any world. "You can hold her if you want, Principal Celestia." Fluttershy softly said, and handed the sleeping Sunset in her teacher's arms. Principal Celestia had a good experience with kids, since she seems very careful when she holds the sleeping kid in her arms. "Principal Celestia, please no-" but the warning from the athlete came too late. Sunset opened her eyes the moment Celestia started rocking her and patting her back. But, instead of crying, she just took her head from the teacher's shoulders and looked her in the eyes instead. It was dead silent.... "Ma!" The redhead finally squealed in joy and jumped in the ice-cream haired woman's arms. Princess Celestia just blushed for a good ol' moment, before a number of things happened at once. She squealed too and in excitement, she spun around holding the girl, and when she stopped, she hugged her tightly, before she started letting out tears, which soon turned into crying. "My dear child, my only baby, oh how I miss you so much." She wept uncontrollably. "Amma?" The redhead, of course noticed this, but to her, she could't understand the reason her 'mother' was crying, but that confusion soon disappeared when she, who must've felt bad for the woman, whimpered, before she broke down crying too. The rest of the girls were speechless, some felt bad for the two, while the others were just downright concerned about the mother-daughter duo. After the little cryfest was over, and sobs and waterfall tears slowly turned into whimpers and light teardrops, the generous lady of the group opened her mouth to address something that had been bugging her curiosity for a while. "Principal Celestia, are you... alright??" She asked, before clearing her throat. "May we ask you a question, if it's not personal?" "Thank you for your genuine concern, Rarity; and what do you really wish to know, dear?" Celestia wiped her tears and started thumping the little Bacon's back in order to calm her down. "Principal Celestia, did you have some sort of relation with Sunset? If Any at all, before... you know...?" She made some sort of hand gestures, which was normal for the fashionista. Celestia paused for a moment, then sighed as she set the now calm young Sunset on her chair with a keychain in the toddler's hand to play with. Then, she said: "To answer your question, Rarity, I did have a did have something with her- or rather, her human counterpart." "Oh," was all she said. "But as much as I'd love to get into more detail, I'm afraid that'll have to wait for another day," she interrupted, scowl dissapearing before being replaced by a cheerful one, and scooping the little pony-human in her arms. "Oh, Lulu is going to adore you so much!" She said, pinching her round rosy cheeks. The baby Sunset Shimmer only giggled and jumped on Celestia in return. . . . Silence. There was very awkward silence. Vinyl raised her hand and opened her mouth as if to say something, but she quickly closed it. "So, uh, Principal?" Questioned the countrygirl of the group. Celestia raised her head in question. "So now that Sunset's a baby, an' the err... Anon-A-Miss stuff's runnin' around, what'd we do now?" That was enough to get the multicolored humanized counterpart of the celestial Princess of the sun out of her stupor. "Oh, yes, thank you Applejack for your reminder— I think I already have some plans. I just need to set it into motion, and the fact that Sunset is a kid now helps it all the more." She smiled, setting Sunset down to let her run to Rainbow Dash, before holding her hands in excitement and giving a rather sinister grin. "I just need a babysitter or two," she adds, much to the confusion of everyone and the curiosity of a little child in the room. "...And where, or who can we find to be the, err, 'babysitters', ma'am?" Octavia asked with concern. Celestia just gave her a wry smile, as she looked over her shelf, glancing over two portfolios, then to her desk at the photo of two students— a blondie with an athletic build and hair tied in a bun, and the other with short white hair and a military brown coat with a fur-trimmed hood, displayed on her phone. "As for that, you need not worry about it."
