//------------------------------// // Onwards! To the Ninja Village // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Canterlot Gardens. Afternoon. Currently, Adagio Dazzle was undergoing her first magic lessons as Princess Celestia's student. For her first attempt, so far, she seemed to be doing a fairly good job. Perhaps even better. Adagio had just managed to learn the Want-it-Need-it spell. A spell that can be considered dangerous due to how potent it was. Not only that, but she had also learned some more spells to add to her arsenal as Celestia herself watched over Adagio, mentoring her "Good job, Adagio." Celestia went over to Adagio who was holding a multitude of heavy objects around her. "You certainly are a fast learner." "Aren't I?" Adagio smirked, feeling cocky and confident. And for a good reason. Her talent with magic was something. It definitely comes from her mother or even her father. "This pony magic isn't half bad actually. That Want-it-Need-it spell shows a lot of promise too." "Mhm. But make sure not overuse that spell or for personal gain." Celestia warned her. "Only use that spell when it really counts. My mother and father consider it to be the most dangerous spell in the world." "What? This thing?" Adagio used the spell on one of the hedges as the nearest guards and Pokemon walked or flew by. And immediately, once their eyes met the hedge, the spell took place. One look and their eyes lit up with hearts as they all collectively stopped what they were doing. Some dropped items that they were carrying as they hit the ground. And immediately, with smiles meeting their faces, they all flocked towards the hedge. "I want it!" One guard said. "I need it!" So did another. "Staravia!" And a Staravia among many other Pokemon. All were heading straight the hedge, most likely aiming to rip it out and take it with them. Adagio scrunched her face as she witnessed a surprisingly large group coming her way. But just like before, Celestia could stop it. With one flash of her horn, she cast a spell that could counteract the Want-it-Need-it-Spell. A white light flashed from her horn, covering everyone that approached the hedge including the hedge itself. Once the flash covered them as they looked right at it, their infatuation towards the hedge had come to an end. The hearts disappeared as they all came to a screeching halt. Many of them were befuddled and confused afterwards. Whatever they were originally doing had been wiped from their minds before reviving afterwards. Then, they all went on with their day, feeling a bit awkward for chasing after a hedge of all things. Not even one that had been stylized. "Oh," Adagio said, witnessing just how potent that spell can be. "So remember. It is a powerful spell that should only be used at the moment that truly counts. Something where it is truly needed. Twilight knew that but desperation and panic came..." Celestia instructed. "Right got it. Only important moments. Easy enough." Adagio nodded while Celestia smiled, having faith in Adagio. She was hoping she wouldn't get the same outcome as Twilight thought. But as they were about to continue their lessons before having a quick break and some fun in the summer sun, a guard had entered the Canterlot Gardens with important news. "Your highness." The guard spoke. "A citizen wishes to speak with you about something important." "Let them in." Celestia approved for this pony to arrive. And the pony that walked past the guard was the same pegasus who was working on the skies with his fellow pegasi and found something amazing beyond the clouds. "Princess Celestia!" The pegasus looked to be in a hurry as he stopped in front of the alicorn. "Big news! In the sky!" "Hold on. What is it? What happened?" Celestia asked, calming the rapid-moving pegasus down. "There's a door in the sky!" The pegasus pointed his hoof in the air. "One that looks like some sort of...giant clock or something!" "A door in the sky?!" Celestia and Adagio collectively said. "Yes! It looked like at least. I came to you specifically because I believe you may know something about it, princess. Is it safe to be near it? Can we still work on the skies with it being present there?" The pegasus asked, hoping for an answer. "I'm curious too. What's up with that?" Adagio asked, looking at Celestia. But to their surprise, Celestia gave off a face that didn't look like she hadn't heard of this thing before. "I...I don't know." Celestia shook her head. "This is the first time I've heard of something like this? A door in the sky?" "Wait. You...don't know?" Adagio pulled back. "Unfortunately, I don't know everything. I know many things, but even my knowledge stops at a certain point in this world. And this is one of them." "So...Nothing then," Adagio responded. "No. But this is still crucial. Is there a chance you saw what else was there?" "I only saw the door. I mean, it looked like a door. Plus I only noticed it when it cast a shadow over me. But I think I saw something gold next to it. But after that, it left my view and that was it." The pegasus explained. "So. We have something in Equestria that nopony else knows. If it can cast a shadow and leave the field of view within the skies, that must mean that it has the capability to move." "A moving door?" Adagio narrowed her eyes. "Maybe not. If there is something gold surrounding it, then there's a chance it might be a building of some sort. For anypony working near those skies, stay clear away from them for the meantime. If the door shows up again." "Got it! Thank you, Princess Celestia!" The pegasus nodded in understanding before leaving the vicinity and returning to his work. "A possible flying building in the sky. That's something to think of..." Celestia wondered. "You sure you don't know anything about it?" Adagio questioned. "No, not at all...But maybe mother and father do." Kalos Region. Coumarine City. Afternoon. The city where bay and butte are bound. An exclusive resort area made popular thanks to its clear skies and mild atmosphere. And this was where Scootaloo, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon would start their four-day journey on a quest towards Ninja Village. Just for fun. Coumarine City was the closest gateway they could find that would lead them to Ninja Village which was between Anistar and Snowbelle City. "Okay. So we'll have to get through Laverre City and Dendemille Town if we want to reach Anistar City. Then after that, we might find the village." Silver Spoon looked at the map. At least...through most of the routes first. And uh...something called the Frost Cavern. Quite a bunch actually." "Ah, it's fine." Scootaloo flailed her hoof. "Let's head on forward. "The first place we need to go is the Lumiose Badlands!" "I'm sorry did you say Badlands?!" Diamond Tiara shuddered. "That's what it says on the map right here." Silver Spoon showed the earth pony. "Lumiose Badlands. We'll need to get past that if we want to reach Laverre City." "Oh." Diamond Tiara scrunched her face. "I-Isn't there an easier way to get to Laverre City?" "Uh nope. This looks like the only way." Silver Spoon shook her head as Diamond Tiara sighed. "Let's not waste any time then!" Apple Bloom exclaimed. "Let's get past those Badlands!" "Yeah!" The Cutie Mark Crusaders plus Silver Spoon agreed in a bellowing unison whilst Diamond Tiara gave off an awkward smile. Ponyville. Twilight's lab Afternoon. "Here. The Holon Region." Twilight was currently showing Starlight and Nyx a book that contained further information about the mysterious region known as the Holon Region. "The Holon region was inhabited by humans who wished to search for the elusive Mirage Pokémon Mew." "Is it always about Mew?" Starlight asked. Mew's an important figure in Pokemon history." Twilight nodded. "In establishing a city that was also titled Holon, scientists utilized the unique magnetic properties of the area to produce waves of electromagnetic energy via a large tower in the city centre to track the location of Mew. The resulting electromagnetic waves caused the local Pokémon to mutate into abnormal types inconsistent with their genes elsewhere. Their highest evolved forms typically have Metal instead of Steel as a type. The affected Pokémon came to be known as Delta Species." "A region like that is unexplored?" Nyx spoke. "It exists but not many visit it. It might be from the weather. Those electromagnetic waves from the tower cause frequent storms. In addition, pressure changes are not uncommon there either. There's also the Delta Species that are just as odd. Like this Pidgeot for example." She then pointed her hoof at one of the images of the Delta Pokemon. "It looks like an average Pidgeot but it's actually a Fighting-Type of all things. Some even change more than others in terms of appearance." "Really?" Starlight leaned further. "Right. Like this Charizard. It was recorded just 12 years ago. Not only is it a Dark-Type Charizard, but it even looks like a Dark-Type with all those colours. So, there's a lot to explore there. And I know for sure Ash wouldn't wait for a second to head there if we showed it to him." "Ah...Let's do it later. Still pretty exhausted after that whole invasion and everything." Starlight recommended. "Right. A lot of rest is needed before we head on some big adventure to a whole other region." Twilight agreed. "But weren't we gonna do something else today?" "Pyrestar's world and the Rarity that lives there." Nyx reminded Twilight and Starlight. "Right!" Twilight shot up. She'll be so happy when she finds out about the land restoration. Or...maybe she's already found out?" "Either way, best to see for ourselves. The seal might be weaker this time to break." Starlight nudged Twilight. "Yeah. Maybe. Let's get going then." Lumiose Badlands. A complete oasis. Vast, dry and fairly red to the eyes. Many dirt mounds could be seen with barely any plants. But, up ahead, there was a large pool of water with some trees and fruits prominent so it wasn't a full-on wasteland. Since barely any plants can grow in the red clay of this great plain, it hosts the Kalos Power Plant instead. Speaking of which, that was the main attraction. The Power Plant. An environmentally responsible power plant that generates solar power from space. It also powers the whole Kalos Region. Coming across this place was the group of five. And immediately, due to it being summer in both worlds, they could feel the heat already beating on them. It was sweltering and it didn't help that wind pressures tend to disrupt movements with how aggressive they can get. "Yikes..." Scootaloo grimaced whilst she and her friends stood still after coming across the heat of the Lumiose Badlands. They knew it was going to be hot but this was absurd. "W-We should've considered the summer sun in a place like this..." Silver Spoon nodded as everyone collectively agreed with her. "It's fine. We can fix this." Sweetie Belle panted before taking out one of her Poke Balls. "Piplup. Come out." By using her magic, she unleashed the Penguin Pokemon into the area. "Piplup!" "Please. Cool us off if you can, Piplup." "Lup!" Piplup could certainly do that by blasting some water from his mouth, splashing it all over the foals and negating the heat that was punishing them. "Thanks," Everypony said with a collective relaxed sigh. Thus, they continued on their way. If they wanted to advance past the Lumiose Badlands, they would have to head to Power Plant since it's close to the nearest civilization. Along the way, Piplup used his water to cool everyone off whilst some of them took out their cold water bottles and drank them instead. There was also that one pool of water with trees and fruits that they were also tempted to stop by if they wanted to snack on something. However, noticeably, they saw that these dirt mounds were starting to move in response to their hoofsteps. They all locked their eyes onto the mounds, seeing how a few of them were sprouting up. They weren't sure if these were safe or dangerous. But considering that they were collectively following the five fillies made them suspicious. The five little ponies sped up their movement. They went from light trotting to light galloping. Essentially a jog. This was to try and get away from the dirt mounds as soon as possible if they were dangerous by any chance. And popping out of some of the dirt mounds were the following Pokemon. A few Trapinch and a few Dugtrio, popping their heads out and startling the little ponies in the process. But among one of these dirt mounds was also a Gible. By emerging out from the mounds, they almost struck the ponies by hitting their bags. The heads of Dugtrio and Trapinch bumped into the bags while also getting dirt all over them. "Gible!" "Trapinch!" "Dugtrio!" And they were all popping out for one reason. Gible seemed to be the main leader of this Ground Group as his nose was picking up on something. Food. Specifically, food straight from the bags that the fillies were carrying with them. Some of the food inside was tailored towards ponies while some were Pokemon Food. A perfect find for Gible, the Trapinch and Diglett as they all surrounded the foals, forming cracks around them. "Hey! Watch it!" Diamond Tiara looked around, seeing that they were essentially being blocked off by Pokemon smaller than them. Although, Gible was almost the height of a foal. Apple Bloom could see that Gible was sniffing towards their bags along with some of the other Pokemon here. "I think they're after our food..." Apple Bloom whispered "Gible!" The Land Shark Pokemon pointed at the ponies and the bags, ready to take them by force. "Forget about that." Scootaloo nudged Apple Bloom. "There's a Gible here. And I want it." Excited at seeing a powerful Pokemon that could potentially become a part of her team and carry her to victory in the Equestria League, Scootaloo took out a Poke Ball, throwing it. "Go, Horsea!" "Horsea!" "Gib?" "Ooh! I'll take that Trapinch!" Sweetie Belle looked at a Trapinch with her Piplup ready. "Pinch?" "Horsea! Use Water Pulse!" "Piplup, Bubble Beam!" "Hor...sea!" The Dragon Pokemon immediately spouted out an orb of water from his mouth, shooting it straight at the Land Shark Pokemon. "Pip-Lup-Lup-Lup!" As for Piplup, he started shooting multiple bubbles from his mouth towards Trapinch. "Gible!" In response, Gible used Slash, raising his claw as he lunged towards the orb, slashing it in half. The orb of Water Pulse split in two, hitting the ground afterwards. "Trap!" As for Trapinch, it just left by using Dig, avoiding the Bubble Beam. Piplup moved the Bubble Beam around, following Trapinch's dirt mound as it had then flown towards the other Ground-Type here. The Diglett and the rest of the Trapinch all collectively went back underground to avoid this Bubble Beam. The only one up here was Gible now. "Hey! Come back!" Sweetie Belle cried out, wanting her Trapinch as she saw the dirt mounds scatter. "Gib!" Gible hadn't retreated. It went straight for Horsea, using Bulldoze as its whole body was covered in an orange aura while running. "Horsea! Twister!" "Sea!" Horsea moved his back fins as fast as he could, making a twister appear that spun around on the ground, absorbing some dirt and rocks while racing towards Gible. "Gib?!" Gible gasped as it had been drawn it by this whirlwind of draconic energy, spiralling around with the rocks and dirt. "G-G-Gible!" Afterwards, the twister let out an outburst, separating and coming to an end as Gible was flown out of it. But even when being hurled around midair and falling, Gible could still attack. The Land Shark Pokemon had something blue glowing in its mouth as it was prepared to use Dragon Breath. The Dragon-Ground-Type released a light blue beam from its mouth "Use Water Pulse!" "Horse!" To counter Dragon Breath, Horsea fired the same orb of water upwards at the light blue beam. Both blue attacks collided before cancelling each other out via a blue explosion. "Gible!" Descending and passing through the smoke was Gible who had used Slash. The Land Shark Pokemon had smoke trailing out of him as he slashed Horsea head-on, knocking the Dragon Pokemon back. "Horsea!" Horsea cried out. "Gib!" Gible then followed up from Slash by using Dragon Breath, breathing a light blue beam seconds after using Slash. Horsea had then taken further damage from the attack. "Sea!" "Horsea! Are you okay?!" Scootaloo gasped. "S-Sea...!" Horsea was indeed fine. Just a bit banged up, that's all. "Okay then! Let's finish this and catch ourselves a Gible! Use Focus Energy!" "Horse...!" The Dragon Pokemon closed his eyes, letting all of his focus take the wheel. By clearing his mind and worries, Horsea was able to tap into Focus energy as blazing orange rays of energy started spurting out of his body, rising in the process. "Gible!" Took this an opportunity to attack as he went for another Slash. "Now, dodge and use Twister at full power!" "Sea!" Horsea's eyes widened as they flared orange. He was stronger than before as he swayed his body to the side, avoiding Gible's Slash. The Land Shark Pokemon shifted his eyes to the side before going for another Slash. Horsea hovered back, avoiding the second one as Gible leapt for a third one. "Gib!" Gible's third slash was yet again evaded by Horsea levitating himself in the air to dodge it. Pokemon like Horsea that are originally meant to be in water have a huge benefit when it comes to the land. They essentially get free levitation. "Sea!" Afterwards, Horsea found the perfect time to strike. He flapped his back fins as he utilized the strength of Focus Energy to make this Twister extra strong. Out of his wings, a giant spiral of draconic wind came flying out, shooting for the Land Shark Pokemon. "Gi?!" Gible gasped as it had been caught in the Twister again. This time, Twister was moving at a vertical angle, moving forward instead of upwards. And Gible was pushed forward by this whirlwind of ferocious dragon spirit. Many rocks had been blown out of the way as everypony covered their eyes with dirt flying around. Afterwards, the Twister came to an end, separating once more with Gible spinning around and feeling a bit dazed in the process. The Land Shark Pokemon tumbled on the ground before crashing into a nearby rock, holding his head afterwards. "Now's my chance!" Scootaloo took out a Great Ball from her saddlebag. "Go, Great Ball!" She then threw the ball with all of her might. "Gib?" Gible looked up before being struck by the Great Ball. The ball bounced off Gible's head as it pulled the Dragon-Ground-Type in with a red light. Then, traditionally, the ball landed on the ground, ready to shake reveal the result. 1...2...3...Gotcha! Gible was caught. "Haha yes!" Scootaloo was able to fly for a few seconds before galloping to the Great Ball. After reaching there, she grabbed the ball with her hooves, looking at it with beaming eyes. "Success! I got myself a Gible! How's that?!" "Ooh! Good job!" Apple Bloom and the others clapped in approval, congratulating Scootaloo whilst Sweetie Belle pouted. "I still didn't get my Trapinch..." "Ah, there's always more here in this desert and a second chance." Diamond Tiara shrugged as they all continued on their way. But not before clearing all of the dirt and dust off. "Now let's see what that Power Plant is all about!" Scootaloo exclaimed while twirling around the Great Ball after having a successful and satisfying capture. Pyrestar's World. Ponyville Afternoon. Finally visiting this world's Ponyville were Twilight, Starlight and Nyx. And with the addition of Pyrestar who offered to show them around her world. While it's not in the best condition right now, it was at least being restored by its own natural means. "As you can see, grass has been making a revival as of recently." Pyrestar showed Twilight and the others the state of her world. "Everypony's hope has also made a steady revival thanks to both the visibility of grass and how Ash freed Canterlot from Team Plasma." "Sure is taking a while. Wait, if Discord brought back your castle? Why can't he break the seal Grogar made?" Starlight asked. "I'm afraid Grogar is just a cut above Discord," Pyrestar answered as they had come across the place that Twilight, Starlight and Nyx wanted to be at in the first place. Carousel Boutique. And it was not in the best of conditions right now. Along with practically everything else in this world, it had a bit of a dry and less than lively appearance. The windows were dusty among many other parts of this building. Usually, Rarity would never keep it dirty like this. But it was. Even though it kept the same appearance even after centuries, visible cracks surrounded the walls. It looked like it was on the verge of crumbling. "A quick reminder. The Rarity of my world has gone centuries without her dearest friends. She won't be the same as your Rarity." Pyrestar said. "That's fine. Being through other timelines has taught me that." Twilight nodded whilst looking at Starlight as they both know a thing or two about something like that. Afterwards, Pyrestar knocked on the door, calling for Rarity. "Coming." And like that, a voice had responded. A voice belonging to a good friend but with less enthusiasm behind it. Opening the door was a unicorn wearing the Alicorn Amulet like every other unicorn here. Rarity. And when she opened those doors, she was seen as essentially the same thanks to the Alicorn Amulet granting wearers the lifespan of an alicorn. But her manestyle was different. In the style of a ponytail. But aside from that, Rarity saw Queen Pyrestar which wasn't too out of the ordinary. But what was out of the ordinary was the sight of a friend she didn't think she'd ever see again. Twilight Sparkle. But Starlight since in this world, Grogar created the seal immediately after Tirek had been defeated. And one look made Rarity's jaw drop after seeing a familiar face. "T-Twilight...?" "Hello~" Twilight gave an innocent smile and wave. "Twilight!" With a sudden burst of energy, Rarity lunged forward, granting Twilight a surprise hug that was equal to the strength of a bear. "Oof!" Twilight's eyes felt like popping out as her heart skipped a beat for a second. "I've missed you so-so-so much darling! You have no idea!" She spun Twilight around, lifting her off the ground. "It's been centuries! You just up and vanished after-" "Rarity. Rarity, calm down please." Pyrestar calmed Rarity down. "This isn't your Twilight. It's another Twilight from another world." "Oh...?" Rarity looked over at Pyrestar before placing Twilight down. "Well...I'm still thrilled to see you again. I never thought I would or the rest of my friends to be honest." "Yeah. We know about the seal." Twilight replied whilst recovering her body after that powerful hug. "But we have some good news." "Good news? That's a rarity." Rarity sighed. "Rarity. Look." Pyrestar pointed her hoof over at the distance, showing the unicorn the current state of the land and what it was gradually becoming. She showed her the visibility of grass. A very verdant and vibrant green too. "Everything's returning to what it used to be." Rarity was stunned by what she was seeing. How long has it been since she's seen grass other than dirt and pebbles? Either way, witnessing something so beautiful like grass being brought back was a treat for the eyes. "Twilight over here and her friends came over, restoring what was lost. The process is slow, but it is proof that everything is returning." Pyrestar explained. "And I shall also tell everypony across Equestria about this. Those in Canterlot and some in Ponyville are already aware of this restoration. Very soon, you'll have all of your friends back." "Y-You do that..." Rarity stammered after witnessing this gorgeous sight as some flowers were starting to revive. The rest of her friends would return to her. Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Coco Pommel and more that weren't unicorns. "Oh! I'll have to...I'll have to clear everything up and do some repairs for their return! Sweet Apple Acres needs to be exactly how Applejack and her family remember it! Oh, but how will I reach Rainbow Dash's home?" "The levitation spell that the amulet brings can assist with that." Pyrestar poked Rarity's Alicorn Amulet. "Oh! That works!" Rarity nodded. "Thank you so much for this wonderful news! I should tell Sweetie Belle about this immediately! Her best friends will be coming back! They might be younger than her now but that's fine!" She was obviously referring to Scootaloo and Apple Bloom. "It was a pretty good idea coming here, wasn't it?" Starlight said to Twilight and Nyx as they nodded in agreement. Rarity slammed the door, rushing back inside to fix everything. She found the spirit in her to start cleaning immediately. "Well, I thank you for this, you three." Pyrestar turned to the three ponies. "Once everything is restored, we will throw a gigantic party that will be celebrated for years to come. And I'll have the chance to eat cake again for years..." The Celestia inside of Pyrestar was kicking in as she was thinking about cake. "Wish there was a faster way to make the land return." Nyx sighed. "Hm..." That's when Twilight's head starting sparking up an idea. There was indeed something that could restore the land at a quicker pace, covering years of growth in possibly months, weeks or even days. Or rather, some Pokemon. "That's it! Landorus, Thundurus and Tornadus! Hah! There really is a Pokemon for everything!" Canterot Castle. Afternoon. Arriving here were the parents of Celestia and Luna. Sunlight and Eventide. They had been called here by their oldest daughter with matters concerning what the pegasus had discovered. "Mother. Father. Glad you could make it." said Celestia as she hugged her parents. "Thank you. It's worth coming here after all that invasion fuss had come to an end." Sunlight responded. "And look at you Adagio! A student of my daughter! How does that feel?" "Ah, pretty neat I guess." Adagio tried to play it off like it wasn't that big of a deal. But in her mind, she loved it. "Now. What do you need, dear?" Eventide asked her daughter. "Well, it's something that I'm hoping you have some knowledge of. Considering that you're older than me and everything. I was wondering, do you know something about a door in the sky?" "A door in the sky?" Just like Celestia and Adagio, Sunlight and Eventide said those words together in unison, a bit confounded by that question. "Right. Earlier, a pegasus came to me, saying that while he was working on the skies with the other pegasi and Flying-Type Pokemon, he spotted something beyond the clouds. A giant door that seemed to be in the shape of a clock. Also having something gold surrounding it, but that was about all he could see. It existed past the cloud limit that any pegasi could reach and flew out of view afterwards. It could be a building, but one that moves is a bit...off. Do you by chance know about it?" "Hm...Door in the sky?" Eventide pondered for a bit. So did Sunlight. They didn't instantly know about something like this. They were actually putting thought into it, giving Celestia hope that there might be some knowledge around this. That's when Sunlight answered. "I did hear of something similar to that before." Sunlight spoke. "About something that lurks past the skies that anypony can access." "Yes?" Celestia leaned forward. "Stories of Equestria long ago tell of a place that exists in secrecy. A place that could be considered a sanctuary. During the founding and naming of Equestria, not all ponies were contempt or approved of joining Equestria. Some went their own separate ways to try and start their own lands and countries." "Own separate ways? I didn't think anypony would refuse to be a part of Equestria. Well...at least not in the far past." "There were some. Eventually, most did end up joining Equestria." Sunlight nodded. "But there was one group that never did so. A large group of pegasi refused to associate themselves with Equestria from what I was told. Thus, they started their own civilization and nation in the skies themselves and have seemingly been doing so ever since." "And do they have a name?" Adagio questioned. "In the stories, it was known as Pegalysium." As the journey continues. Chapter 472 End.
