After her talk with Dash, Luna decided to head to the Pokémon center so she could heal her Pokémon, Dash said she would tell the others. Once she got there she walk straight to nurse Joy but she didn’t get very far.

“I saw you win against Shadow, I wasn’t impressed.” Luna knew that voice all too well, it was Sunset. The trainer was sitting by a table enjoying a cup of coffee. “I think you just got lucky.”

Luna just frowned. “I didn’t get lucky and Shadow was a worthy opponent.”

That made sunset snort. “Worthy opponent? Don’t make me laugh.” She drank the rest of her coffee. “You and Shadow isn’t worthy,” She then stood up. “you’re not worthy to be in this tournament and you a certainly not worthy to face me.” She then started to walk towards the exit. “I’ll see you tomorrow at battlefield, I can’t wait to crush you.” And then she was gone.

Sunset’s words hit Luna more than she wanted to admit, maybe she wasn’t worth to be in this tournament. Luna shook her head. ‘No, I won’t let Sunset’s words affect me, I earned my place and tomorrow I will prove it.’ She then headed to nurse Joy to heal her Pokémon.

After she had done that she went to the café to see the others waiting for her, she then said what Sunset said to her and they were horrified. Dash and Applejack wanted to punch Sunset in the face, so she couldn’t compete, the other also wanted that, not Shy. Pinkie just didn’t want to throw her a party. Celestia and James was just glad she didn’t attack Sunset or did something that could get her kick out of the tournament. After Luna had eaten she decided to head to her room, she had to choose her Pokémon for tomorrow.

Then they day arrived, Luna vs Sunset. Both trainers was ready to battle.

“LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, WELCOME TO THE FIRST MATCH IN THE THIRD ROUND IN THE VICTORY TOURNAMENT. TODAY WE SHOULD HAVE AN EXCITING MATCH, FROM LAVARIDGE TOWN WE HAVE SUNSET SHIMMER AND FROM LITTLEROOT TOWN WE HAVE LUNA MOON.” Said the announcer and the crowd went wild when he said it.

The first half of the battle is a water battlefield, it was a swimming pool with four platforms in the water.

Luna was up first. “Let’s go Azumarill.” Out came the aqua rabbit Pokémon ready for battle.

Somehow Sunset knew that Luna would chose Azumarill first, she got ready her first Pokémon. “Ready for battle Magnezone.”

Out came a Pokémon Luna had seen before, it almost killed her a while ago.

Celestia on the other hand hadn’t seen the Pokémon before so she look at the data with the help of James dex

Magnezone the magnet area Pokémon. Sometimes the magnetism emitted by Magnezone is too strong, making them attract each other so they cannot move.

Celestia didn’t like what she saw, Magnezone was an electric Pokémon and that means it was a good match against Azumarill.

Then the judge spoke up. “Let the battle begin.”

Sunset decided to attack first. “Magnezone, use zap cannon.” Magnezone fired a beam of electricity.

“Doge it and use bubble beam.” Azumarill managed to avoid the attack by jumping to another platform, she then attack with bubbles from her mouth which hit the target. Luna then held out a Pokéball. “Azumarill, return.” The aqua rabbit Pokémon and Luna got ready her next Pokémon. “You’re up Lucario.” The aura Pokémon came out and when she saw Magnezone, she knew right away that it was the Magnemite she had lost to before, it was payback time. “Use aura sphere.” Lucario send away a ball of energy.

“Doge it and use another zap cannon.” Magnezone managed to float away and attack with the same attack.

“Doge the attack and use brick break.”

Lucario managed to jump over the attack and headed towards Magnezone, she then hit the magnet area Pokémon right in the head with her hand, at least she thinks she hit Magnezone in the head. Magnezone landed in the water unconscious while Lucario managed to land on a platform.

“Magnezone is unable to battle, Lucario is the winner.” The judge announced.

Sunset was not pleased that she was the first one to lose a Pokémon first, the same happened in her battle with Ace and it was pissing her off. She called back Magnezone and got ready her next Pokémon. “Ready for battle Crawdaunt.” Out came the rough Pokémon.

Luna decided not to change her Pokémon. “Use aura sphere.” Lucario send away a ball of energy.

“Jump into the water.” Crawdaunt did that and Lucario attack missed. All Lucario could now was to look around, she had no idea where Crawdaunt would come up, Luna had the same problem. “Use brick break.” Crawdaunt came up behind Lucario, the aura Pokémon had no time to react as she was hit in the back, then Crawdaunt disappeared into the water again.

Luna had to do something but what. She then remember what water does, lead electric. “Lucario, return.” Luna called back Lucario and got ready her next Pokémon. “You’re up Jolteon.” Out came the lightning Pokémon and Sunset became worried when she saw that. “Use thunder bolt into the water.” Jolteon jump into the air and send away electricity into the water, frying Crawdaunt. Then rough Pokémon came floating up to the surface unconscious. Jolteon landed on one of the platformers in the water.

“Crawdaunt is unable to battle, Jolteon is the winner.” The judge announced.

Sunset was furious, she had already lost two Pokémon while Luna hadn’t lost anyone, that ends now.

Sunset called back Carwdaunt and got ready her next Pokémon. “Ready for battle Glalie.” Out came a white Pokémon that was white, had horn black horns and was floating.

The sisters look at the data.

Glalie the face Pokémon. Glalie has a body made of rock, which it hardens with an armor of ice. This Pokémon has the ability to freeze moisture in the atmosphere into any shape it desires.

Luna saw that Glalie was an ice type, she decided to keep Joltoen out. “Use another thunder bolt.” Joltoen send away electricity.

“Doge the attack and use ice beam.” Glalie managed to avoid the attack and then it fired away a beam of ice with hit Joltoen, then the lighting Pokémon was frozen in ice. “Use headbutt before Luna can call Jolteon back.” Glalie floated towards the frozen Jolteon who had no change to escape, Glalie then hit the ice with its head shattering it in the process, then Jolteon was hit so hard that he was knock out.

“Jolteon is unable to battle, Glalie is the winner.” The judge announced.

Sunset was pleased with herself, not only did she take out one of Luna’s Pokémon she had also humiliated her, that what she thought.

Luna wasn’t upset at all that Sunset had taken out Jolteon so fast, she knew that sunset was a worthy opponent. Luna called back Jolteon and got ready her next Pokémon. “You’re up next Azumarill.” The aqua rabbit Pokémon for another round.

Sunset was a little worried now, Azumarill could hid in the water so she had to make sure that didn’t happened and Sunset knew how. “Use ice beam on the water.” Glalie fired a beam of ice on the water and it froze, the battlefield was now ice. “There’s nowhere to hide, use headbutt.” Glalie rocket towards Azumarill.

“Use iron tail.” Azumarill’s tail started to glow and then she turned around to meet Glalie’s attack with her tail, it look like both was equally strong but then Glalie managed to push Azumarill back.

Sunset had to attack again. “Use hyper beam.” Glalie fired away a powerful beam that Azumarill had no change in avoiding, she was hit and landed on the ice unconscious.

“Azumarill is unable to battle, Glalie is the winner.” The judge announced.

Sunset was happy, she managed to take out Luna’s pathetic Pokémon. 

Luna called back the aqua rabbit Pokémon and got ready her next Pokémon. “You’re up Salamence.” Out came the dragon Pokémon who roared as he was out. “Use flamethrower” Salamance attack with flames.

“Doge it and use ice beam.” Glaile tried to moved but thanks to hyper beam the face Pokémon could not move, Glaile was hit hard and landed on the ice unconscious.

“Glaile is unable to battle, Salamance is the winner.” The judge announced.

Sunset was lost for words, she was the first one to lose three Pokémon first, that was not the plan. She called back Glaile and was ready with her next Pokémon but then she was remember that it was a five minutes break, Sunset didn’t want to but she had to.

After the break the two trainers was ready, the stage was a rock field. Sunset was up first. “Ready for battle Shiftry.” Out came the wicked Pokémon for another round.

Then it was Luna’s turned. “You’re up Mightyena.” Out came the bite Pokémon ready for battle. “Use fire fang.” Flames appeared in his mouth as he started to run towards Shiftry.

“Doge that and use leaf tornado.” Shiftry managed to jump backwards to avoided the attack, he then send away a tornado of leaf’s that hit Mightyena.” Use lead blade.” Shiftry’s leaf’s became blades, he then slashed Mightyena hard enough to knock the bite Pokémon out.

“Mightyena is unable to battle, Shiftry is the winner.” The judge announced.

Sunset was pleased with herself, she managed to take out Mightyena so easy, Sunset couldn’t help but wonder how a weak trainer like Luna managed to get this far.

Luna called back Mightyena and got ready her next Pokémon. “You’re up Salamence.” Out came the dragon Pokémon who roared when he came out. “Use flamethrower.” Salamence attack with flames that came out from his mouth.

“Doge that and use energy ball.” Shiftry managed to avoided the attack and then he send away a green energy ball.

“Fly up.” Salamence used his wings to take of so Shiftry’s attack missed. “Use another flamethrower.” Salamence attack again and this Shiftry was hit hard but he was still kicking, barely.

Sunset had to do something so she called back Shiftry and got ready her next Pokémon. “Ready for battle Fearow.” Out came a brown bird with a long neck and beak.

Celestia look at the data.

Fearow the beak Pokémon. Fearow is recognized by its long neck and elongated beak. They are conveniently shaped for catching prey in soil or water. It deftly moves its long and skinny beak to pluck prey.

After seeing the data Celestia couldn’t help but question Sunset’s choice, why not chose a Pokémon that has the advantage against Salamence.

James on the other hand was a little worried now. “That’s not good.”

Everyone there look at him with confusion. “What are you talking about?” Rarity asked him.

“That Sunset has a Fearow.” They were still confused. “Let me explain, about six weeks ago Luna had am encounter with a Fearow who grabbed her with its talons, lifted her in the air and then the Fearow dropped her. Lucky for her there was a tree right under her and she managed to grabbed on one of the branches, if she didn’t she could have been killed. Let’s hope that incident doesn't affect’s her now.”

Their confusion was replaced with utter horror, they didn’t know that Luna had a near dead experience. Celestia was the one who was affected the most by what James said. “Why didn’t my sister say anything to me?” She asked almost in tears.

James just shrugged his shoulders. “Beats me. If I remember what Luna have told me about you, you haven’t told her everything when she returned.” James was right, Celestia didn’t tell Luna everything, not right away and that was part of the reason Luna left.

Luna look at Fearow and the memory of what happened to her that day came back, she remember being grabbed by the bird, kicking it and then falling. It was probably one of worst days in her life but right now she couldn’t think about that, she was on a mission to beat Sunset.

“Use thunder fang.” 

Sunset eyes widen when she heard that, she didn’t know that Luna’s Salamence knew that move. Sunset had to do something as electricity appeared in Salamence mouth. “Move it Fearow.” The beak Pokémon started to fly around the arena and Salamence followed.

Both Pokémon flew around, Salamence changing Fearow. The beak Pokémon tried to get away but Salamence was too fast and eventually the dragon Pokémon managed to catch up with Fearow and bite down sending electricity through its body.

“Don’t do dear give up, use drill peck.” Fearow’s beak started to spin and hit Salamence right in the chest. “Good, use steel wing.” Then Fearow’s wings became steel and managed to strike Salamence again.

“Use dragon pulse.” The dragon Pokémon fired a beam blue beam at Fearow which hit.

Sunset was waiting for that. “Use mirror move.” Luna had no idea what kind of attack that was but she found out when she saw Fearow use the same move as Salamence, the attack was enough to K.O. Salamence, the dragon Pokémon landed on the ground unconscious.

“Salamence is unable to battle, Fearow is the winner.” The judge announced.

Celestia and the girls was in utter shook, they had no idea what just happened.

Then Dash asked the question. “What just happened? How did Fearow just use the same attack as Salamence?”

“It’s called mirror move, the user can use the attack its opponent just used.” James explained to them.

“So, Fearow just copied Salamence attack?” Asked Shy.

James nodded. “You can say that.” The girls couldn’t help but think how complex Pokémon was.

Luna called back Salamence, she had two Pokémon left but she wasn’t out, she got ready her next one. “Let’s do this Lucario.” Out came the aura Pokémon ready for another round.

Sunset was sure she had this one the bag, she would destroy her pathetic Lucario. “Use steel wings.” Fearow’s wind became steel as he flew towards his opponent.

Then Lucario did something that took everyone off guard, she closed her eyes. Lucario just waited for her trainer to give her a command, that happened. “Use thunder punch.” Electricity form around Lucario’s fist, she then open her eyes and saw that Fearow was right in front of her, she then punch the beak Pokémon so hard that it was knock out.

“Fearow is unable to battle, Lucario is the winner.” The judge announced.

Sunset was pissed off, Luna wasn’t supposed to win that one, she was. She called back Fearow. “Useless.” She got ready her next one. “Ready for battle Shiftry.” Out came the wicked Pokémon. “Use leaf blade.” Shiftry’s arms became blades as he dashed towards Lucario.

“Trust your aura Lucario.” The aura Pokémon just closed her eyes as Shiftry slashed at her, but he missed.

Shiftry just keep on attacking but Lucario managed to doge every one of them with ease and it was irritating Sunset. “What the hell are you doing? Hit Lucario.” Shiftry tried but he just couldn’t do it.

It was time to strike. “Use close combat.” Shiftry missed again and that was the opening Lucario needed, she struck Shiftry with her fist which made the wicked Pokémon to stop his attack. Lucario keep on attacking and Shiftry was pushed back with every punch and kick. “Finish it.” Lucario gave Shiftry a powerful upper cut which made him fly, Shiftry landed on the ground unconscious.

“Shiftry is unable to battle, Lucario is the winner.” The judge announced.

Sunset was very angry, she had lost five of her Pokémon. “This was not supposed to happened.” She mumble to herself. She called back Shiftry and got ready her last Pokémon. “Ready to battle Blaziken.” Out came the blaze Pokémon ready for battle.

When Luna saw Blaziken she knew she was at a disadvantage, no matter which Pokémon she used, considering her last one was Sceptile. She had to do some damage right now. “Use aura sphere.” Lucario send away a ball of energy.

“Knock it away.” Blaziken managed to just knock the ball away. “Use bulk up.” The flame Pokémon flexed his muscles to become even more stronger. “Use flamethrower.” Blazkien then attack with flames from his mouth.

“Doge that and use bone rush.” Lucario managed to jump over the flames while summoning a bone between her arms, she then decided to hit Blaziken in the head.

“Blocked it.” Blaziken held up both of his arms and he managed to bloke the attack, it did hurt a little. “Use another flamethrower.” Blaziken attack again and this time Lucario had no where to go, she was hit hard

Blaziken’s attack was enough to finish of Lucario. “Use aura sphere.” Lucario send away another ball of energy as soon as she landed and this time Blaziken didn’t manged to bloke it, he was hit.

Sunset was just mad Luna’s pathetic Lucario could still fight. “Use blaze kick.” Flames surrounded one of Blaziken’s feet, he then did a karate kick towards Lucario who was to tired to move, she was his so hard that she landed on the ground unconscious.

“Lucario is unable to battle, Blaziken is the winner.” The judge announced.

Sunset was satisfied that she managed to take out Luna’s pathetic Lucario, but her Blaziken still took damage. Luna was going to paid for that.

Luna called back Lucario and got ready her last Pokémon . “Let’s do this Sceptile.” Out came the forest Pokémon ready for battle. “Use x scissor.” Sceptile crossed his arms and they started to glow as he dash towards Blaziken who didn’t have the change to doge, he was hit.

Sunset couldn’t help but make a fist with her right hand. “Use fire punch.” Flames surrounded Blaziken fits, he then punched Sceptile in the face which made the forest Pokémon to slide back.

“Use leaf blade.” Sceptile leaf’s in his arms became blades, he then slashed at Blaziken who got hurt.

“Keep using fire punch.”

Both Pokémon keep on attack each other with furiosity and the crowed loved it, but there was one who didn’t enjoy it and the was Celestia.

Celestia could help but look at Sunset and see the anger in her eyes, it was the same eyes her Sunset had when she fond out it wasn’t her destiny to became a princess. Celestia wished that she could help this Sunset, but it was too late, she was lost to hatred and anger.

Blaziken and Sceptile keep on attacking each other and none of hem was given up, both of them was on their breaking point, both was getting tired.

Blaziken managed to get in a punch that send Sceptile flying a little. “Use flamethrower.” The flame  Pokémon attack with flames from its mouth.

“Doge that and use pound.” Sceptile managed to doge under the attack and gave Blaziken swing it his tail, which hit.

Sunset wasn’t going to lose. “Use blaze kick.” Blaziken attack with flame on his feet.

Luna wasn’t going to lose either. “Grab his leg.” To sunset’s surprised, Sceptile managed to do that. “Now throw him into the rocks.” Sceptile swung his body and managed to throw Blaziken into one of the rocks on the arena, hurting him badly. “Use solar beam.” It was a risky move but she had to risk it, Luna could only hope that Blaziken took a loot of damage when he hit that rock.

Sunset was furious. “What the hell are you doing Blaziken? Get up and attack with flamethrower before it’s too late.” The flame Pokémon tried to get up but he was to hurt that it took time, time he didn’t have.

Then Sceptile’s seeds was ready. “Attack.” Scetile fired away a powerful beam from it mouth towards Blaziken who was to hurt to doge the attack, he took the attack head on. The impacted created a explosion and when the smoke was gone, they could se that Blaziken was out.

“Blaziken is unable to battle, Scetile is the winner. The victory goes to Luna.” The judge announced.

Luna couldn’t believe it, she had beaten Sunset.
