//------------------------------// // Twilight Sparkle vs Skyblue Shine // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Kanto Region. Out in the wilds. Nightfall. A confrontation was about to occur within a cave. Between Twilight Sparkle and Skyblue Shine. This wasn't their first confrontation but in this case, it may be their last considering how things go. Skyblue Shine had just sent out her Aggron while the rest of Twilight's Pokemon plus Togekiss were already out, collectively growling at Aggron despite his overwhelming size. Right now, Twilight's friends were going various ways. Mainly, one way that would reach Twilight herself. After finding out about Skyblue Shine finding Twilight, the rest of her friends were off to help the Princess of Friendship. Pheromosa had picked up Rarity and Applejack, using her amazing speed to run across the land. All they had to do was find Twilight in a cave but that wasn't as easy as it looked. They would also have to avoid the numerous scouts running across the wild searching for the staff of Sir Aaron and Ash who is currently in possession of it. There was also the issue of the giant ship in the sky which Rainbow Dash had to avoid herself since she was moving through the air alongside Braviary and Castform. There were scouts everywhere searching for Ash, making the wilds practically heavy enemy territory. As for Ash himself, he was on his way back to Cameran Palace with the staff. Many of the people of Cameran Palace were safe now thanks to the defeat of the Empress' forces that attacked the palace while some of them were heading back home for safety. Now it was just Twilight and Skyblue in the same area together. "Let's make this quick! Shadow Ball! Aura Sphere! Aqua Tail and Night Slash, go!" Twilight ordered. "Smash them all away with Dragon Claw!" So did Skyblue Shine. "Espeon!" Espeon and her friends went first. The Sun Pokemon opened her mouth, summoning a blob of shadows while Absol and Cinccino approached the Iron Armor Pokemon. Togekiss assisted by ascending into the air, charging up a sphere of Aura. "Aggron!" Aggron covered his own claws in draconic energy, roaring at the Pokemon that were approaching him. Absol lunged ahead of his friends, lighting his horn up with darkness as he swung towards the Iron Armor Pokemon. "Absol!" Absol swung his horn down as Aggron moved to the side, evading it before swiping the Disaster Pokemon in the face, launching him away. "Sol!" "Cinncino!" Along came Cinccino, catching Aggron with a surprise attack by hitting him in the head with an overhead Aqua Tail, causing super-effective damage. Aggron staggered from that before swiping upwards, sending the Scarf Pokemon into the air. "Cinn!" "Espeon!" "Toge!" Both Espeon and Togekiss had unleashed a blue and dark purple sphere from their mouths, sending them towards the Iron Armor Pokemon. "Agg!" Aggron turned to face the two attacks before using both his claws to hit the two attacks back at Espeon and Togekiss. The two Pokemon had been struck by their own attacks, sending them back as they cried out. "Grr! Use-" Before Twilight could make her next command before she knew it, Skyblue Shine had appeared before her, lighting her horn up. Twilight gasped as she instinctively made a protective magic barrier around herself, blocking Skyblue's incoming magic attack in time. "I'm afraid the Pokemon aren't going to have all the fun!" Skyblue Shine grinned. "I'll have to really get my hooves dirty if I wish to bring you back to the Empress!" Twilight let her magic barrier down before she flew back, Skyblue Shine pursued the young alicorn, chasing after her as now both the trainers and the Pokemon were in a hot feud. Twilight ascended into the air while Skyblue Shine used magical levitation to catch up to her. The two of them started exchanging magic beams from their horns. Thanks to Skyblue's magic upgrade, she properly matched Twilight as their magic beams cancelled each other out. But afterwards, once that happened, Skyblue Shie used her magic to rip a large chunk of rock from the cave walls, sending them towards Twilight from the side. The young alicorn gasped before forming a shield around her to protect herself. Skyblue Shine then unloaded another beam of magic that poured onto Twilight's shield. Twilight had been pushed back with her shield still active before she expanded her magical shield, blowing the beam away. The two of them just kept going back and forth while their Pokemon do the same in the background. "Aggron!" Aggron knew that it was all up to him to make his own commands. And the same can be said for Twilight's Pokemon as they had just recovered after being hit by Aggron each. "Ggron!" The Steel-Rock-Type then switched to Flash Cannon, generating a large sphere of metallic energy before firing an even larger silver beam out of it. "Absol!" Absol opened his own mouth, using Dark Pulse to cancel out Flash Cannon. Afterwards, both Cinccino and Togekiss went for highly effective moves in the form of Focus Blast and Aura Sphere. As the smoke had formed, Aggron moved through, lifting his claws as he was ready to strike at his opponents without even using a Pokemon move. "Cincc?!" Cinccino gasped as Aggron appeared before her. The Iron Armor Pokemon grabbed Cinccino by the head before smacking Absol and Espeon away with his tail. "Esp!" "Sol!" Aggron then picked Cinccino up, using her as a meat shield against Togekiss' Aura Sphere. The sphere of Aura hit Cinccino instead, dealing super-effective damage to the Scarf Pokemon. "Cino!" Cinccino cried out as Aggron tossed her aside. Absol recovered on his feet as he retaliated with the move counter. The Disaster Pokemon lunged forward by lighting his horn up, returning the damage he had taken back to Aggron. "Absol!" "Aggron!" Aggron staggered as he was sent back by Absol's counter. Afterwards, both Espeon and Togekiss got together to blind Aggron via Dazzling Gleam. A bright and colourful light shined from both their bodies, glistening in Aggron's eyes as the Iron Armor Pokemon had been temporarily blinded and befuddled. "Gron!" Aggron moved his head to the side, covering his eyes. While he had been dazed by the lights of Dazzling Gleam, Absol took the opportunity to continuously swing Night Slash onto Aggron, delivering hit after hit. "Absol! Absol!" "A-A-Aggron!" Aggron took each hit before his eyes returned to their natural vision. The Iron Armor Pokemon growled as he grabbed Absol's horn, slamming the Disaster Pokemon onto the ground. "Sol!" "Agg!" While holding Absol, Aggron then used Flash Cannon, firing it into the air as he hit the ceiling of the cave. Doing so caused large chunks of rocks to start falling, primarily at Espeon and Togekiss. "Togekiss!" Togekiss gasped as she put her wings up, trying to block the incoming rocks. Eve thankfully managed to save her friend via Psychic. She used her Psychic mind to hold each of the rocks, tossing them aside. "Esp!" Aggron then tossed Absol aside, causing him to crash into a wall, creating a hard impact as the Dark-Type fell over. But while Aggron wasn't looking, Cinccino had just gotten enough time to use Focus Blast. "Cinccino!" After getting up from the ground and charging it up, the Scarf Pokemon unleashed a giant golden blast of mental energy that tore through the ground. Aggron's eyes widened as he had been hit directly by Focus Blast, right in the stomach as well. The Iron Armor Pokemon was consumed by a giant golden explosion as he went flying back. The Steel-Rock-Type groaned after being hit by Focus Blast. That was the most damage he had taken by a long shot. But it wasn't over yet. Togekiss was going for Aura Sphere while Cinccino chose to yet again use Focus Blast. "Ggron...! Aggron!" The Iron Armor Pokemon looked to the side as he used the next move in his arsenal. Earthquake. He stomped on the ground, shaking the entire cave itself before. Giant white shockwaves came racing out, heading straight for Cinccino and the others. Togekiss would remain unaffected by it due to her aerial position but the same couldn't be said for her friends. However, even if Togekiss couldn't be affected by Earthquake, the rumbling of the cave certainly could. Just the movements of the shockwaves from the Earthquake were enough to disrupt the cave as an assembly of giant rocks came crashing down from above as well as the walls themselves falling apart. And this time, Espeon couldn't save her because of the huge attack coming her way. None of them could escape the Earthquake since they were in such a cramped spot. All they could do was brace for impact as Absol closed his eyes along with everyone else. Togekiss tried to fly away but there were so many rocks she had eventually been hit by them, causing her to fall with rocks piling on her. Absol and the others had been caught by the white shockwaves of the Earthquake as they cried out. Meanwhile, with Twilight and Skyblue Shine, Twilight could hear the sounds of her Pokemon being harmed while also feeling the entire cave system falling apart. "Eve?! Everyone?!" Twilight gasped, fearing for the condition of her Pokemon as Skyblue Shine had caught her off guard, hitting the young alicorn with a blast of magic that had sent her flying to the ground. "agh!" "You should really focus more, princess." Skyblue Shine levitated towards Twilight, looking down on her. "The Empress is certainly less prone to be distracted by mere foreground or background events. "I'll take that as a compliment for my current self." Twilight gave a cocky retort before looking up at Skyblue Shine. She looked at the Mega accessory in her saddlebag, knowing that she had to give Espeon and her friends some assistance. But she wasn't there right now because of Skyblue's interference. So, there was only one thing to do. Mega Evolve Absol so that they have a better chance. Twilight quickly pulled out her Mega Accessory in the form of a pen holder and ink bottle, revealing it to Skyblue Shine. "Hoh? Mega Evolution, hm? That's a good idea. Maybe that'll defeat your Pokemon at a quicker pace." Skyblue Shine smirked as she had suddenly revealed a Mega Accessory on her own. This one was hiding in her mane. It was in the form of a small hairpiece. "You've got one too?!" Twilight gasped. "Helps to be prepared. For all of my Pokemon. But mostly Aggron." She chuckled as she placed the hairpiece on the side of her mane, activating Mega Evolution. Twilight responded by activating Mega Evolution as both her and Skyblue's Mega Stones started radiating those same golden lights together. Before flying off, the two golden lights flowed around each other, heading straight for the Pokemon that they responded to. Back with Absol and Aggron, the two of them noticed their keystones glowing. Reds lights flew out of the giant rubble that Absol was buried on along with Aggron too. The red lights met with the golden lights, merging to form a DNA symbol before flying back to the Disaster Pokemon and the Iron Armor Pokemon. The lights that surrounded Absol while bits of him were changing had blown away the rubble, freeing his friends. Absol roared as he had entered his Mega Evolved state. And the same went for Aggron who shook the cave itself from the force of his Mega Evolution. "Absol!" "Aggron!" Aggron's stellar defence in his Mega Evolved form wasn't going to make this easier or quicker than expected. Then again, it wasn't that easy, to begin with. But Absol having a spectacular attack in his Mega Evolved form could change that as the two Pokemon stared each other down with ferocious growls. Out in the wilds of Kanto. Nightfall. Pheromosa was blitzing through the lands, leaving a trail of smoke behind from her amazing speed. She held Rarity and Applejack in her hands while Sceptile used his vines to latch onto her, allowing him to come along. They were heading for Twilight's location. While they weren't sure where she was, they did see the area around her. She was in a cave from what they both saw, including Rainbow Dash, who was currently in the skies. While moving through the land, Pheromosa spotted something in the far distance. Or rather someone. A group. And a very friendly group. That group was Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and their Pokemon. The two of them had just met up after being separated. Thanks to Audino's stellar hearing abilities and Slurpuff's amazing sense of smell, they were able to track each other down in no time. "Fluttershy! Pinkie Pie!" Rarity and Applejack both cried out. "Sshh!" But suddenly, Pinkie Pie put her hoof over her mouth, hushing the duo to keep quiet. And for good reason. Because the next thing Pheromosa saw in the far distance was an assortment of scouts, straight from the Empress' side. "Mosa?!" Pheromosa gasped as she came to a screeching halt. The same went for Sceptile. They had stopped right near the hill that Fluttershy and the others were hiding behind as they kept their voices silent instead of raising the volume. The smoke trail that Pheromosa made was dying out. If any of the Empress' forces saw that, it would give them away. "Great that you're here...but right now, it's not safe to be around the wilds now," Fluttershy whispered while holding a weakened Chikorita in her hooves. "Chiko..." "What happened to Chikorita?" Rarity asked. "It was her leaf that changed our fate and saved us back in the sky." Fluttershy looked down at the Leaf Pokemon. "She had to use most f her leaf and her health's in a bad spot now. I'm afraid we'll have to wait for morning to come for the leaf to heal." "Chiko..."Chikori..." "That might not be too long from now." Rarity looked up before looking to the side. "And there are so many of them..." "Audino heard everything. They've sent many soldiers to patrol the wilds just to find Ash and the staff." Fluttershy explained. "Everywhere's full of them." "What about Ash? Is he still safe?" Applejack asked. "From what Audi heard in the wind, he sounds like he's heading back to Cameran. So he should be fine for now. Hopefully." "Ash can take of himself." Rarity nodded. "Right now, we need to find Twilight immediately. "That Skyblue Shine pony's found her in a cave somewhere here. Not to mention the invasion's already begun back home. So we need to move immediately." "It might take some time but Audino and Slurpuff can definitely find her. But...we need to find a way to get through all of them?" "We could just have Pheromosa smash 'em all before they can even blink. How does that sound?" Applejack turned to Rarity. "Hm...Sure. That's the easiest way. Pheromosa. Move as fast as you can. Just make sure you don't reveal us. Only yourself, alright?" Rarity said to the Lissome Pokemon. "Phero." Pheromosa understood loud and clear. Her speed would allow her to move so fast that barely anyone would see her. But she shouldn't risk revealing her friends, so some caution would be needed. The Ultra Beast got to work as she used her amazing speed to bolt away from the hill, leaving a large smoke cloud behind. She moved at breakneck speeds, faster than the troops could react as she became an absolute blur. "Hm?" One soldier heard the sounds of something rapidly moving across the ground. But before he could look around to see what it was, Pheromosa had smashed her leg onto his armour, causing it to shatter while also staggering the pony, knocking him out. Ough!" "Huh?!" The nearby soldiers heard the sound of their ally being harmed after that ough sound. But they couldn't turn around to find the source of that impact since Pheromosa had already left the spot. Before they knew it, one by one, Pheromosa moved in a zigzag, smashing her foot into every armour and pony there was, shattering the armour and knocking them out in the process. However, since there were so many of them, it was only a matter of time until at least one of them spotted the Lissome Pokemon. And one of them did. The farthest soldier spotted a white blur moving across, knocking out her fellow troops in the blink of an eye, gradually approaching towards her destination. Spotting this, the single troop decided to immediately alert the ship for assistance. Obviously, they could tell it was Rarity's Pheromosa since they spotted her going against their troops back at Cameran Palace. The ship was a bit further away by now to properly arrive in time to save them. And there certainly wasn't enough time for the last troop to really retaliate. And Pheromosa had already reached her, striking the last soldier by breaking her armour and knocking her out. "Mosa." Pheromosa's leg was smoking from all the kicking she had been doing. She placed it down as in the span of just 14 seconds, all of the surrounding troops had been knocked with zero effort. Not many could keep up with Pheromosa's speed or even barely withstand her devastating kicks. But the ship in the sky might be a different story. Because despite not saving the troops from being staggered and knocked out by the Ultra Beast, it was still quick enough to reach its location. Further distances meant nothing to it. The giant castle ship had hovered above the hills, casting a large shadow over it as the ponies commanding the ship had spotted Pheromosa and the others. In fact, not even the hills could hide them from this gigantic aircraft. "Phero?!" "They found us!" Applejack gasped as the ship aimed its cannons directly at the targets before them. "Time to go! Pheromosa!" Rarity cried out. "Mosa!" The Lissome Pokemon immediately turned around as she picked up Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, Mew, Scorbunny and Chikorita together. Meanwhile, Sceptile grabbed both Audino and Slurpuff with his vines while also latching onto Pheromosa. Now that everyone was onboard, Pheromosa could start running as she took off like a rocket. However, so did the ship. They had direct orders to also deal with the threats that were Applejack and the others. From out of the cannons, a bombardment of magic rays came flying out as they moved so fast that they could actually keep up with Pheromosa. The magic rays hit the ground, causing dome-shaped explosions to form as the ship kept moving with everyone onboard eyeing Pheromosa down like a hawk. "Phero! Phero!" Pheromosa gasped as she noticed that the explosions were closer than she expected them to be. She didn't think the ship would be this quick. "Preposterous!" Rarity peered her head over. "There's no way it can keep up with Pheormosa! Can it?!" "Audi! Quick! Track down Twilight as soon as you can!" Fluttershy pleaded. Even if Audino was moving at high speeds, she still had to track Twilight down somewhere in the wilds. And the same went for Slurpuff. "Audino!" Pheromosa was blitzing across the land while the ship's engines were at full speed, causing them to easily keep up with the Lissome Pokemon. The rays of magic were getting too close as Pheromosa was starting to sense an unwanted pressure coming her way. "Tile!" Sceptile noticed that one ray was coming towards him. He quickly turned around, opening his mouth and unleashing Dragon Pulse to counter the ray, cancelling the magic out. "Dino!" Audino's feelers eventually picked up on a familiar sound. It wasn't Twilight, but instead another one of her friends that had been separated after the fate change from Chikorita. "Pheromosa!" Pheromosa heard Audino loud and clear as she drifted on the ground, heading towards the direction where Audino had heard those familiar sounds of familiar friends. But the ship wouldn't let up. There was now a massive chase between the two groups. There was already one focus and that was the staff but now there are two things to focus on at this point. All while Rarity's group was hoping to get back to their world to help stop the current invasion. Equestria. High up in the mountains somewhere. Nightfall. And speaking of the invasion, while it goes on with both sides going at it, a very important visitor had just arrived at this world to change the tides. That, someone, was Empress Twilight Sparkle. The one who started this whole invasion in the first place. She was here for a quick visit for one reason. Those accursed Probopass. The Probopass were so far the biggest threat to the whole invasion. Their magnetism abilities were so great that they could not only hold all forms of metal in place but they could even disrupt technology and anything electrical. The main resources that the Twilight Imperium uses. And the Empress was not having any of that. So she decided to take care of these nose-hair Pokemon herself. But first, she would have to find them. "Alright." The Empress closed her eyes as her horn started lighting up. "I may not be able to look inside of the buildings, caves or whatever...but I can certainly look across the land itself with this spell. You won't foil my plans, Probopass." By flashing her horn, the Empress had then opened her eyes as they glowed a dark purple colour. She had cast a spell that could help her watch over the entire land except for anything indoors. It wasn't quite like Luxray's X-Ray vision. But it was definitely on a grander scale. Because once the spell was activated, high above the skies of Equestria, visible to everyone's eyes from all over the place whether high or low, a giant eye could be seen. An eye belonging to the Empress herself. "W-What is that?!" One soldier said. "An eye! And it's gigantic!" Another responded. "F-Flurry...what's that?" Premium gulped as she was looking outside the window with Flurry Heart whilst still in Canterlot. "That's auntie's Grand Eye Spell. She's watching over the entirety of Equestria with it!" Flurry Heart explained as she backed up, worried that her auntie might spot her if she put her head outside of the window. Naturally, everyone was creeped out by a giant eye with purple pupils staring at them from above, larger than even castles themselves. Through her vision, the Empress could see everyone on the outside. And lo and behold, she had spotted the Probopass that were giving her forces some trouble. They were currently on their way to disrupt more ships and troops but they had also seen the giant eye in the sky. "I see you." The Empress spoke as she had found her target. The Probopass's were being carried by the Golurk with their jet boosters so they were really in the skies themselves. And that could work out well for the Empress. After finding her targets, the Empress was ready to deal with them immediately. The best part about her eye magic is that not only can it spot everyone outside, but whoever she spots, she can just use her teleportation magic to head to the area she found them in. And that's what she did. By using the traditional teleportation spell, the Empress left the large cliff he stood on before appearing in front of the Golurk and Probopass with her wings out. And it was right above the city of Appleloosa too. "Gol?!" "Probopass?!" "Oh! Look up there!" The soldiers that were with the Golurk and Probopass pointed their hooves in the sky, also spotting something other than the giant eye. They spotted the Empress herself. "You're giving my side a bit of trouble. Some trouble that I wouldn't want from such a ridiculous looking Pokemon." The Empress narrowed her eyes, showing visible irritation on her face. "Golurk!" Golurk could immediately tell that this was the main threat. Empress Twilight Sparkle. Knowing this, the Golurk in the sky that weren't carrying Probopass decided to attack to try and end this invasion early. They flew towards the Empress with their jet boosters as each of them went for fist based moves like Dynamic Punch, Thunder Punch, Shadow Punch and more. And speaking of Shadow Punch, a few of the Golurk sent shadow-like fists out of their hands, sending them towards the almighty alicorn. The Empress immediately responded to this with her personal favourite spell. The Gravity spell. This time, she used it in a way that she created a gravitational field around her body in the shape of a spiralling sphere. This field had pulled the shadow hands in, causing them to spin around the sphere instead of directly hitting the Empress. She was just showing off them with it at this point. But, she then used the most common part of the Gravity spell. She had increased the gravity, sending the Golurk and Probopass flying down with intensified gravity. "Golurk!" "Probopass!" They all went flying down so fast that it only took 3 seconds. They hit the ground hard, causing large craters to form because of their weight and size as the nearby soldiers were sent flying back from this impact. The Empress then looked down at the Probopass, knowing that wasn't what she wanted to do them mainly. Her main goal was to stop their magnetism from sabotaging the invasion. But that in of itself was practically impossible because that's something that Probopass has naturally. It's not something that can just be turned off or removed. But, even if she couldn't get rid of it, she could always deal with the Probopass the natural way. By destroying them. And she had one unsightly way of doing this. The Empress descended to the ground, appearing before the Probopass, Golurk and the rest of the soldiers that were down here. "You Steel-Type Pokemon are incredibly durable, aren't you?" She looked to the Probopass. "Getting rid of you bulky Pokemon will just make things easier for me." "There she is! Att-" "Quiet." Not wanting to hear any nonsense from the soldiers about their whole attack call, she dealt with them all by summoning bones from the ground itself. The bones formed into a giant ribcage that had pressed down onto the soldiers themselves, pinning them to the ground. "P-Probopass!" Even though the Probopass couldn't use their magnetism of the Empress since she wasn't as heavily equipped as her soldiers, they could still use other moves. Those moves were Zap Cannon, Stone Edge, Power Gem and more. These moves were certainly powerful and dangerous. So much so to the point where even the Empress had to be careful or they could do more than sting. She spread her wings out, taking to the skies as she avoided the rising rocks that came from Earth Power. As for Stone Edge and Power Gem, the Empress had used her magic to hold them all, preventing them from going any further. Afterwards, she sent the rocks back, causing them to hit Zap Cannon instead as all of the moves had been stopped. Whether by avoiding them or cancelling them out. As the smoke was starting to clear, one of the Golurk had used Flash Cannon, putting its arms out and sending a silver beam of metallic energy forward. The Empress' eyes widened as she saw the silver beam pass through the smoke. In response, she used a spell that had split the air itself, separating Flash Cannon as it caused the attack to go into different directions symmetrically, missing the Empress too. "There you are!" The Empress appeared before the two of the Probopass, using a Compression spell against them. By surrounding them in her magic, the Empress was starting to compress the Probopass by slowly crushing them. She was manipulating the matter around them to do so. "P-Probo!" The Probopass all cried out as they could feel their bodies being slowly crushed. Visible dents were forming as it felt like they were having their entires bodies being turned inside out which was an unpleasant feeling. "Golurk!" The Golurk wouldn't stand for this as they rushed over to stop the Empress. She turned around, attempting to use the Compression spell against them as well, but quickly found out that the Golurk were unphased by it. "Hmph. That Ghost-Typing sure is bothersome isn't it?" Unfortunately, due to the Golurk being Ghosts, they were exempt from a plethora of things such as compression. But it could also be them being artificial Pokemon that was helping them a bit. "Whatever." Not worried about this one bit, the Empress had multi-tasked, using a different spell to try and throw them all off. When the Golurk went in for physical attacks before they knew it, within their ghostly vision, they had suddenly noticed their attacks had indeed landed, but not on what they expected. Instead of hitting the Empress, they had hit the Probopass instead. And with super-effective moves to boot. This was because the Empress had swapped positions in a split-second. "P-Probopass..." So after being hit by the amazing attack strength of Golurk, each of the Probopass had fainted as the Golurk quickly regretted what they had done. But that didn't matter since the Empress very soon engulfed them all in a giant explosion of magic. The Golurk cried out as they had taken the full brunt of the Empress' explosive magic, causing them to be sent flying. The troops couldn't help because they were still trapped within the ribcage that was pressing down on them. After having the Golurk take out the Probopass for her, the Empress decided to do one last thing before she left. By using the Bone spell once more, she had ripped the ground itself open, creating a massive hole around it. She then used her magic to hold the Probopass in her grasp, dropping them inside of the hole. Afterwards, Empress Twilight had finished it off by burying the Compass Pokemon with over a hundred layers of thick bones, covering the ground. And she did more than that. The bones were also crushing the Probopass while they were buried underneath the ground. The bones also started to spread, wrapping themselves around all of the surrounding buildings in Appleloosa, quickly forming a giant cage of ribs that had pressed down on them. Appleloosa now one big cage of bones. "There." The Empress grinned as everyone here was essentially immobile. None of them could break through the bones. Not even the Golurk themselves. These multitude of layers were too thick, even for them. And even when she wasn't using her magic, the bones were moving around by themselves, adding more and more layers and increasing the thickness. "Don't worry. After all of this, I'll restore Appleloosa into something better when I eventually conquer this world. But right now, all you can be crushed into the ground where you can join the bones of the past, present and soon the future." She let out a maniacal laugh. Her work here was done. At least, that's what she thought. Until the Golurk did the unthinkable but essentially, the predictable as well. By using their Ghost-Type properties, they made themselves intangible, phasing through the bones and ascending into the air with their jet boosters. They couldn't break the bones but they could certainly phase through them. "Golurk!" "Oh my." The Empress was actually impressed by that. But, she should've expected it considering how Ghost-Types can just do that. "Ah, whatever." Not too intimidated, she simply used her Gravity spell to launch the Golurk so far that they were sent away from Appleloosa in seconds. The last thing that was heard were their echoing screams. "Pokemon. If this keeps up, whatever unexpected thing they pull off next will just ruin everything." The Empress said. "All I have to do is clear the Pokemon out and everything will be as easy as it needs to be. Then again...I still need the Pokemon. Having that much power in my endless Empire would be unmatched." In truth, despite all of this, the Empress still wanted the Pokemon. They had so much power in such varieties that are practically endless that she couldn't ignore it. If anything, the Empress was thinking of replacing her main soldiers with Pokemon instead. That is until she conquers this world that is. "Alright. I think now might be a good time." The Empress chose to communicate with her army from the other side. "Let's start a short frenzy. Send them both in. I'd like to see them stop two unstoppable forces." Kanto Region. Out in the wilds. Inside a cave. Nightfall. "Absol!" Absol rushed at Aggron as the two Mega Pokemon were going at it. The Disaster Pokemon swung his horn onto Aggron with Night Slash, hitting his heavily armoured body. Absol's strength was definitely equal to Aggron's immense defence. "Aggron!" After being slashed by Night Slash, Aggron retaliated with attack Head Smash. The Iron Armor Pokemon delivered a life-endangering head butt at full power, smashing his head onto Absol's. "S-Sol!" Absol cried out after being hit in the head. He went crashing through many walls in the cave by it. Usually, Aggron wouldn't feel the effects and recoil of Head Smash because of his ability 'Rock Head. But his ability was different from Mega Pokemon, unfortunately, so he had to take the heavy damage. "Aggron...!" "Ab!" Absol returned with the attack Counter. By covering his horn in light, the Disaster Pokemon dashed out of the many holes he was sent flying to before hitting Aggron directly in the face with his horn. Aggron cried out before using Dragon Claw to smack Absol away. Aggron's recovery was quicker than ever with this bulky body. And this was also thanks to his ability as a Mega Aggron. Filter. Super-effective moves are now less effective than ever thanks to this ability, meaning that Counter wasn't a sure-fire way to victory. However, Absol's amazing strength sort of made up for that a bit. Ggron!" "Sol! Yet again, Absol was sent back as he tumbled on the ground. "Espeon!" Espeon saw that while they were definitely not getting past Aggron's ridiculous defence but they had to try. Togekiss and Cinccino readied Aura Sphere and Focus Blast while the Sun Pokemon started running circles around Aggron with Quick Attack. "Ggron? Gron?" Aggron looked around, seeing Espeon dash around so fast she was leaving afterimages. Espeon's goal was to distract Aggron while Togekiss and Cinccino finish charging up. "Agg!" Aggron started swinging Dragon Claw around to try and strike Eve but the Sun Pokemon was moving too fast for him. As if that wasn't enough, Absol unleashed Dark Pulse from behind, further distracting the Iron Armor Pokemon, prompting him to turn around. "Agg?!" "Absol!" That had given Togekiss and Cinccino enough time to fire. And fire they did. They unleashed a merged Fighting-Type attack with Aura Sphere and Focus Blast becoming one. "Togekiss!" "Cinccino!" "Aggron?" Aggron looked to the side as before he knew it, he had been struck directly by the merged attack, taking super-effective damage with a giant explosion forming afterwards. It was so great that even Espeon and Absol had been knocked back by it. But it didn't matter at all. Filter negated all that effective as Aggron's face showed itself through the smoke. Togekiss and Cinccino gasped after seeing their attack fail. With a devious smile, the Iron Armor Pokemon returned the favour by using Flash Cannon, an even stronger one than he usually has. And it was faster this time. Out of his mouth, a wide radius-covering silver blast of metallic energy came flying out. Togekiss and Cinccino had been hit by Flash Cannon as they cried out in pain. Aggron moved his mouth around, causing Flash Cannon to move as well. Espeon gasped as she used Quick Attack to try and evade the approaching silver beam. "T-Togekiss..." Togekiss groaned as her wings had been injured. They were already injured after the rocks fell on her but even more damage had been given to them. She noticed that Cinccino had taken the most damage out of everyone here. Her small little body meant that she was more fragile than her friends. The Scarf Pokemon groaned as she was on the verge of fainting. Togekiss quickly helped her up from the ground. "C-Cinccino." Togekiss saw that they had to come up with a plan immediately or else this could be it for them. Eve was managing to escape the Flash Cannon but Aggron wouldn't let up. "Sol!" Absol then moved in for another Night Slash as he cut Flash Cannon in half with his horn, separating and ending the Steel-Type attack. "Agg?!" "Sol!" Absol then began swinging his horn wildly at Aggron, trying to overwhelm him. Aggron did the same with Dragon Claw as the two of them started swinging at each other. They had exchanges with Absol mostly moving rapidly around while Aggron stayed in one spot. Espeon moved back as she went over to check on Togekiss and Cinccino. "Espeon!" "Togekiss! Toge-Toge!" Togekiss told Espeon that they had to come up with a plan immediately. Twilight was in trouble and they couldn't continue wasting time with Aggron. Plus, while Absol could continue fighting for potentially hours, the same can't be said for his friends as Cinccino was the most burnt out of them all. "Esp...Espeon!" Espeon nodded in understanding as she had already come up with a plan. A plan that could stop Aggron right here for good. "Absol!" Absol then let out his hardest swing yet as he slashed onto the arm of Aggron. It was so hard that a piece of Aggron's armour actually came off, startling the Iron Armor Pokemon. "Ggron?!" "Sol!" Absol then fired a Dark Pulse in front of Aggron's face, pouring it on. "Aggron!" Aggron wailed before wildly swinging his claws, whacking Absol away. "Absol!" "Aggron!" Aggron roared as he saw himself as unstoppable with his heavy defence. But now it was time for the plan to go into full swing. "C-Cincc!" Cinccino, despite being on the verge of fainting, had a bit more to give out. The Scarf Pokemon had used Thunder, sending a giant blast of electricity from her body. The lightning struck as it immediately conducted with Aggron's steel armour. "Ggron?" "Togekiss!" Togekiss then flew into the air with Eve on her back as they both used Dazzling Gleam by increasing the brightness, temporarily blinding Aggron. A gigantic fused rainbow sphere was seen in the sky. "Espeon!" "A-Aggron!" "Cinccino!" Cinccino then continued with the next attack. While Aggron had electricity on his body, the Scarf Pokemon took advantage of this with Aqua Tail. She moved in, flipping into the air before smashing her water-covered tail onto Aggron. The water reacted to the electricity as Aggron's body was now being met with rapid moving electrons as a giant burst of electricity engulfed his entire body. Even with his heavy durable body, he could feel that himself. "A-Agg!" Aggron cried out as he slapped Cinccino away, causing her to be sent flying. Absol caught the Scarf Pokemon as Eve and Togekiss used their next attacks. "Toge!" Togekiss had formed an Aura Sphere as Eve chose to add her own power to it. By using Shadow Ball, she caused Aura Sphere and Shadow Ball to become one. The Sun Pokemon then used Dazzling Gleam, shooting rainbow rays into the sphere, increasing its size and power. "Espeon!" "Kiss!" Togekiss then launched the powered-up Aura Sphere, sending it towards the Iron Armor Pokemon. But this is where the rest of the support came in. Cinccino, with the last of her strength, used Focus Blast, merging it with Aura Sphere, Shadow Ball and Dazzling Gleam, expanding its size and power. And for one final go, Absol chimed in with Giga Impact. "Absol!" By covering himself in a dark aura, the Disaster Pokemon charged forward at full force, heading for the merged attack. Since the attack was so big, it was bigger than Absol. Thus, the Dark-Type ended up entering the merged ball, becoming one with it as his dark aura showed. "Aggron!" Aggron winced as he had to quickly retaliate. And he did this with Head Smash. The Iron Armor Pokemon smashed his head onto the merged attack along with Absol's horn. Upon collision, it caused a stellar impact and shockwave that formed. A giant majority cave had been blown away by their clash as both sides were caught up in the bright explosion that had been formed. As for Twilight and Skyblue Shine, they noticed the explosion coming their way as the cave was reaching its end. They each instinctively put up magical barriers around themselves, but Skyblue Shine wanted out of here. And she did this by using the Travel Sphere that she possessed. She quickly took it out while still having her magic barrier around herself, quickly opening a gateway to her world right in front of her. But it was too late to escape. The explosion was far too fast. Thus, it had engulfed them both while they were in their barriers. And that was the end of that. The cave was gone along with a gigantic dome-shaped explosion that could be seen from afar, even past the clouds. And obviously, Rarity and the others saw this as Pheromosa was still running from the rays. Even the ponies on the ship saw this. However, before they would approach the source of this explosion, they would take care of Pheromosa's group first. Pheromosa had come across a large steep hill that she was running across. The ship saw this as an opportunity to do one thing. Destroy the hill. With an even stronger ray, the ship's cannons obliterated the hill that Pheromosa ran on. "P-Phero!" Pheromosa gasped as she and everyone started screaming. They were now in the midst of falling due to the obliterated piece of earth. But it wasn't over yet. The cannons kept firing as multiple rays flew towards Pheromosa's direction. And since she wasn't on the ground, there was no way she could avoid this. Chikorita couldn't do much either. Her leaf wasn't that useful right now. A majority of it was gone, meaning that it couldn't be used to its full potential. The bigger the threat the bigger the leaf. But that wasn't the case anymore. "Mew!" So it was up to Mew and Audino. By flying out of Pheromosa's hold, the New Species Pokemon surrounded himself in a giant field of Psychic energy. Audino did the same with Protect as they were giving it their all. All at once, the rain of magic cannons fell on the group as Pheromosa held everyone tight. All that could be seen from above was an endless barrage of magic rays hitting the ground and sky. Pheromosa and the others couldn't even be seen anymore as the land itself was being assaulted by the cannons. Any nearby Pokemon ran, dug or flew away from this carnage as the wilds themselves had been ravaged by the magic rays. The ships eventually stopped firing as the cannons were retracted. All that was left was a giant smoke cloud with purple sparkles flowing around. Giant craters could also be seen everywhere as the ship flew off, heading towards the direction of where the giant white explosion came from. Equestria. Nightfall. Many cities and towns had the residents all take shelter. They've had to leave their homes and hide until the invasion was over. So far, while it had some destruction, it wasn't too major. At least not yet. More of Celestia's forces went up against Empress Twilight's forces. Due to the defeated Probopass, their ace in the hole Pokemon had been taken out. All thanks to the Empress. But there were still other Pokemon that could bring in amazing results. An example was Electivire. Spitfire had her own Electivire as she and the Wonderbolts were high up in the skies, glaring at the many ships and aerial enemies coming their way. Soarin was a part of this as his role as a Weather-based Gym Leader was about to come into full swing here and now. If anything, he also prepared himself for this as he was on the ground instead. "Buizel, use Rain Dance!" He commanded his Buizel. "Bui-Bui!" The Sea Weasel Pokemon started dancing around. His dancing was powerful enough to change the weather as the clouds themselves were being met with rain. Buizel had pulled the clouds together as he had summoned heavy rain that started pouring. "Okay, Electivire! Now! Thunder!" Spitfire ordered along with every other trainer that owned an Electric-Type Pokemon or a Pokemon that knew Electric moves. "Electi...Electivire!" She commanded just her Electivire since she was currently the only known Wonderbolt member to have one. The Thunderbolt Pokemon raised his arms as he charged up high octane amounts of electricity up to 20,000 volts. When it comes to electricity, no Pokemon has a better output than Electivire. As such, a giant bolt of lightning shot into the air, soaring into the clouds. Every other Electric-Type attack went into the air as wellAfterwards, the lightning met with clouds, lightning them up before striking down on the many aerial enemies and ships in the sky. Not only that but it also merged with rain caused by Buizel. The heavy electricity met with the water that had covered all of the ships, forming a chain reaction. A direct hit. The ship's electrical functions were going haywire because of this combination of moves. Systems were starting to fall as all aerial enemies had been knocked out of the sky. The ships could barely handle the electricity and rain combination. Many ponies jumped ship immediately with their parachutes coming out. The ships were all falling with failed systems and down power. And they were going straight for the nearby sea as well. The Wonderbolts and the soldiers all cheered as they all bumped their hooves together. They had just cleared out the skies, succeeding in this location. "Awesome job with all that rain, Buizel!" Soarin said to his partner. "Bui-Bui!" "I can always count on you for anything in the air, can't I?" said Spitfire to Electivire. "Electivire!" But it wasn't over yet. Something was coming. Something big. Or rather, two things were coming. Another gateway had opened up. Two of them. This was where the Empress' unstoppable forces were about to be revealed. The soldiers of the Empress' side made a run for it as they knew what was coming due to the size of the ships. Something disastrous that could endanger them was making its way through the gateway. Spitfire and everyone looked at the two gateways. They stayed on their guard, ready for whatever force would come through them. But there was no way they could've anticipated this. Out of the two gateways, a gigantic 50ft metal tentacle came wiggling out of the first gateway. And the second gateway, a giant 40ft purple and green claw also showed itself. The first to emerge was the metallic entity. Out of it, a giant robotic octopus-like creation had emerged, casting its shadow over the land as it made a horrifying wail that was hard to describe. But it still had the metal sound behind it. This robotic octopus had a plethora of multi-coloured spheres around its body as they were flashing continuously. It could levitate on its own as the multiple appendages of it had sharp edges. Sharp enough to definitely crush or pierce something. They now had to deal with a giant robotic octopus of all things. But that was somewhat normal considering what they've been going up against. It was the second entity in the second gateway that threw them off guard. They know of one individual with a purple and green colour combination. Especially one with scales. An earth-trembling roar came out of the gateway, rumbling the area and nearby towns as the figure was revealing itself. It was obviously a dragon from all those scales, a very big dragon. But not the dragon they were expecting. This was Spike that came out of the gateway. A 40ft full-grown adult Spike that was the size of at least 50 buildings. Spike let out another roar that was greater than before. This was the Empress' own ace in the hole. Or rather, one of many. And this was also the time for the two giants to cause a rampage as the journey continues. Chapter 451 End.
