My Little Pokémon

Dragonspiral Tower

Unova. Icirrus City. Afternoon.

Finally, Spike and Axew had arrived here via riding on Salamence's back. After walking through every cave in Twist Mountain, seeing some neat sightings within the cave and battling against a Steelix, it was about time they got here. The Dragon Trainer journey now continues.

"Thanks, Salamence. Return." Spike returned Salamence to his Poke Ball before standing before Icirrus City. He and Axew them got a move on. Due to it being summer, Icirrus City didn't have its usual snow around. If it did, then ice skating would be the main way to travel here.

Now that he was here, up ahead was Dragonspiral Tower. Just towards the North. Summer Form Deerling could be seen beside their trainers due to the season and weather. There were puddles here where many Water and Ground-Type Pokemon could be found. Some people here were practising some dancing via spinning and turning, singing something about dragons.

Here a Pokemon Fan Club also existed. There's always one club in every region after all. Spike saw this Fan Club and was thinking of experiencing it, but he put his main goal and objective first before anything else. Although Spike promised to come back in a few days before the invasion starts, taking a little detour wouldn't hurt. The journey is mostly better than the destination at times.

"Okay uh... "Spike looked up ahead while also staring at the map. "The Village of Dragons is just up ahead. North from the Dragonspiral Tower and a bit to the west. East, north, south, then west again then...oh..." Spike was getting a bit befuddled reading this map. The Village of Dragons isn't exactly the easiest place to get through due to its obscure and rare. "Let's see if someone knows an easier way."

"Xew-Axew."

Some more directional asking of the people of Unova sounded like a consistently good idea. It worked before with Twist Mountain and the upper caves, albeit, taking a while to get anywhere.

The people practising their dancing were a bit busy so they were out of the question. But everyone else seemed available as Spike went up to the first person here. A lady feeding her Deerling.

"Hey there!" Spike called out to the lady and her Deerling.

"Hm? She looked over at the baby dragon and his Axew. From the first glance, the lady was stunned by seeing a dragon from another world, mainly Equestria here. "Oh, hello there! Look at how cute you are!"

"Deer?"

"Uh hehe..." Spike laughed with a bit of embarrassment. Not many call him cute or anything of the like except for when he first met Fluttershy and a few foals here and there. "Thanks."

"Straight from Equestria, I assume. What do you need little one?"

"Well, I was kinda hoping for an easier way to the Village of Dragons. It says here that's it's just up ahead past Dragonspiral Tower and I need to go a bunch of directions but..."

"Oh, that's fine. A lot of people get confused with the way to the Village of Dragons. It's not an easy place to reach, that's for sure."

"Oh. So then, do you know the way?"

"Well, you can get a better view over up at Dragonspiral Tower." The lady pointed at the tower in the distance. "But, really, Opelucid City is where its nearest. Mayor Drayden and the Dragon Trainers there know a lot about it after all."

"Opelucid CIty? Oh!" Spike facepalmed. "I should've gone there first! But uh...I didn't even know the gateway for it. Should've asked Drayden before I left...Can I see the city from up at Dragonspiral Tower too?"

"Opelucid and Icirrus are very close to each other so you don't have to worry." The lady shook her head. "It's not a long walk from here."

"Phew." Spike had a sigh of relief. "Got a bit worried there. Oh, but can I learn something from Dragonspiral Tower too? I'm journeying to become a great Dragon Trainer so I need all the Dragon related info I can get and find."

"You could get something from the tower." She nodded. "After all, it's the oldest tower in the Unova region. But no one knows its history."

"No one?"

"Nope. But it's said that it's where Legendary Pokemon are created and slumber. Legendary Pokemon like Reshiram and Zekrom."

"Reshiram and Zekrom?" Spike narrowed his eyes. "I think I've heard of those two Pokemon before..."

"It's hard not to. They're the Legendary figures of Unova. And essentially our heroes. Well, that and they belonged to two heroes."

"Two Heroes?" Spike was getting interested as he was starting to learn a lot.

"Mhm. Two heroes or rather princes were originally Trainers of the two Legends. The Legendary Pokemon Reshiram and Zekrom shared their wisdom with the Heroes of Truth and Ideals and defied foes with columns of fire and lightning. The heroes and Pokemon were as close as parent and child. It was truly awe-inspiring to see them!"

"Ooh..."

"Axew..."

"They've both likely bestowed their knowledge with many heroes of the past. In fact, that's what those four are dancing about." The lady pointed over at the dancing group.

"Hm?" Spike and Axew looked over, getting a better look at the dancers who were also singing, practising something about Reshiram and Zekrom.

"Truth and ideals. Move forward in hand." One man sang trying to get the right pitch and tone.

"Fused by Splicers. Divided by Splicers." A woman followed up.

"Where one is divided, the world will broaden." Another woman sang, almost stuttering with her words.

"Truth! Ideals! Two Dragons! Yeah!" A more energetic man bellowed, raising his hands in excitement. "I got it right this time, eh?"

"Ah...No..." The first woman held her face. "That won't do. We're not really in sync here guys."

"I think my words got mixed up with hers." The first man pointed at the second woman as they were going to take it from the top, continuing to practice their routine and song.

"See? That's just this city. Everywhere you'll go, you'll learn about Reshiram and Zekrom." The lady nodded at Spike.

"Awesome...But uh...what's up with Splicers? What are those?"

"Hm? Ah." The lady shrugged. "That's as far as my knowledge goes. Hope I helped you though."

"Sure did!" Spike exclaimed. "Up next is Dragonspiral Tower to see what's up with that and then Opelucid City to the Village of Dragons!"

"Axew!"

"Good luck! Have fun!" The lady whistled as she and her Deerling waved goodbye to Spike and Axew. "Oh, but one more thing! If you're aiming to be a great Dragon Trainer, I'd advise fishing! The bridge of Dragonspiral Tower has a large body of water and you could find your next Dragon Pokemon there! And inside the tower too!"

"Ooh!" Spike shot up after that. "I'll remember that! Thanks!"

"Axew!" And with that, they left the point of view of the lady and her Deerling with their voices fading off in the background. Everything seemed fine for a few minutes until the lady remembered something crucial.

"Ah...I should've probably told him to get a Fishing Rod."

"Deerling."

Dragonspiral Tower. The oldest tower in the Unova region.

And its age certainly showed. While still looking in good condition, its ancient aura was definitely emanating out as it was surrounded by an acre of trees and a large body of water with concrete pillars within the water.

Spike and Axew stood before the bridge that connected to the tower. The sense of obscurity from the tower and its atmosphere could be felt through their bodies. It made them shudder a small bit but also enchanted them.

"There it is," Spike spoke while gazing at the structure.

"Axew."

"So. Inside first or the river?"

"Xew..." Axew himself was deciding which approach should they take first. "Axew." He suggested trying the water first and then the indoors.

"Water it is." Spike turned to the river. "Okay uh...I don't have a fishing rod with me right now so..."

"Xew." Axew would take care of this as he stepped forward onto the bridge. In his minuscule body, Axew might not be able to do much underwater. But as a Haxorus, that might be different since he has better mobility and speed as a Haxorus. "Axe. Ax...Axorus!" Yelling at the top of his lungs, the Tusk Pokemon was engulfed in a golden light before transforming into his final evolution, Haxorus.

"Haxorus!"

"Nice-nice!" Spike clapped. "Okay, Haxorus! Go see what you can spot!"

"Xo!" Nodding in understanding, the Axe Jaw Pokemon then personally dived into the river for a swim, creating a fairly large splash when he went in, getting Spike and parts of the bridge wet.

"Oh..." Spike groaned after getting wet. He then sat down on the bridge waiting for Haxorus to finish up. But, as he sat down waiting, the lady from before and her Deerling came running over.

"Wait! Hold on!" She cried out to Spike.

"Hm?" Spike recognized that voice as he turned around, spotting the familiar face of the lady from Icirrus City.

"Fishing rod! You need a fishing rod!" She held up a Super Rod in her hands.

"Ooh! I was just thinking about that!" Spike sat up as the lady lent the Super Rod to him. "Thanks for that."

"Super Rod is the way to go." She gave a thumbs up. "That'll fish you up maybe a Dratini or more."

"I like the sound of that." Spike looked at the Super Rod which was taller than him in every way. Then again, everything in Equestria is practically minuscule in the eyes of the Pokemon World.

"Okay, I'll leave you to it. Bye-bye!" The lady had done her job. Now she could actually properly say goodbye to Spike with Deerling. Until Spike comes back this way to head home that is.

"Deerling!"

"Bye!" Spike gave his goodbyes before turning to face the river. "Oh. I should probably tell Haxorus now. Wonder how he's doing down there?"

Speaking of Haxorus, the Axe Jaw Pokemon was swimming about in the river, searching for a potential new teammate and friend. So far, all he could see was Basculin everywhere. Red and Blue.

And about those Basculin, they were keeping a good distance away from Haxorus considering his intimidating appearance overall. Just as fierce as a Unovan Haxorus. But, while the Basculin were staying away from Haxorus, other Pokemon, not so much.

Most notably, Carvanha. While not native or common to Unova, they do sometimes swim around here by moving from sea to sea. And when moving to different seas, they usually claim territories of their own.

This river at Dragonspiral Tower is one of them. And right now, in their eyes, Haxorus was trespassing in their territory. If anything invades Carvanha’s territory, it will not hesitate to take action. Although, Carvanha are such cowards that they won’t hunt alone. When five or so of them get together, that's when they gain confidence and ferocity.

And that's exactly what was about to happen now. All the Carvanha, a large school of them, set their eyes on the Axe Jaw Pokemon despite the astronomical size difference.

"Car...Carvan!" Once their eyes locked onto Haxorus, they all began their attack. They started by circling the Axe Jaw Pokemon in massive numbers that seemed to overpopulated the river.

Each of the Savage Pokemon surrounded Haxorus like columns, making the Axe Jaw Pokemon fully aware of which Pokemon were within his presence.

"Hax?" Haxorus saw the sudden appearance of all these Carvanha that were circling him from all sides. Even above and below, he was being circled. The Axe Jaw Pokemon wasn't exactly sure what was going on right now. "Xorus?"

"Carvanha!" Then, the Carvanha initiated their full-on attack as they each swam towards Haxorus, ready to bite into him with their strongly developed sharp jaws. They're powerful enough to rip out boat hulls after all. They don't even need to use a Pokemon move to deal heavy damage.

But they all do know Crunch and Bite fittingly.

"Haxo?!"

"Vanha!" The Savage Pokemon opened their mouths wide, with 10 of them already getting close enough to Haxorus. Those ten Carvanha clamped their sharp fangs into Haxorus' arms, tail, leg and back all at once with no remorse.

"Hax!" Haxorus winced as he most certainly felt that one. Most of his body was being gnawed on by boat-piercing fangs. But, Haxorus is a Pokemon known for its hard armoured skin that covers them. However, Carvanha's fangs are nothing to scoff at.

Knowing and experiencing this for himself, Haxorus had to shake them off before the rest of Carvanha bite onto him. He did this by exuding draconic energy and pure muscle from his body, blowing the Carvanha off him while also shaking the river itself with ripples.

Now he had to deal with every Carvanha here. Each of the Savage Pokemon here all collectively used Aqua Jet on the Axe Jaw Pokemon. The Carvanha lunged at the Dragon-Type at speeds that made them almost invisible by covering themselves in an aura of water.

"Haxo?!" But, Haxorus could most certainly keep up with them as he roared, using Dragon Claw to try and stop them. He swiped and swung his claws around, hitting the Carvanha each time they got close with accurate precision and devastating strength to boot.

All the while, Spike was sitting down silently with his Super Rod, waiting to see if he could find himself a new Dragon-Type to add to his team. He was also wondering if Haxorus was going to come back up.

"When's Haxorus gonna come back up? Is he that good at holding his breath?" Spike wondered, sitting them with absolute silence filling the air of Dragonspiral Tower.

But, while Spike was fishing, he could feel some rumbling in the river itself, making the bridge shake along with the Super Rod. Even his body was shaking. The baby dragon narrowed his eyes at the water, wondering what was causing all that noise.

Just as he leaned in to see what it was, out of the water with a fairly large sound, three Carvanha came flying out, fainting in the process as Spike leaned back in shock and surprise.

"Gah!" Spike gasped, falling on his back as the three fainted Carvanha fell back into the river afterwards with more rumbling. The baby dragon then stood up, looking into the river, wondering what was going on. But, judging by how there was all that rippling and shockwaves going about, he could tell who was causing this. "Haxorus?"

"Xorus!" Haxorus held two Carvanha with his hands, squeezing and letting out a mighty roar while more Carvanha gnawed onto him. This time with the attacks Crunch and Bite with a hint of Poison Fang.

But, Haxorus could endure it as he spun his body around as fast he could. With the speed he was spinning at, Haxorus was pulling parts of the water onto him, creating a veil of water that was shaped like a tornado. And it acted like a tornado too, pulling in the other Carvanha while also circling the ones that were near him.

The water tornado caught all the Carvanha, spinning them around and causing them all to become befuddled and dazed within it while Haxorus kept going.

Due to his continuous spinning, Haxorus' water tornado was growing so much that it flew through the river, reaching the surface for Spike himself to see. As if he wasn't surprised already. Now, he witnessed many Carvanha being carried and spun by a sudden water tornado.

"Awesome..."

And out of the tornado, Haxorus emerged, defeating all of the Carvanha as he separated the water itself, getting Spike even wetter. "Haxorus!"

"Oh, there you are Haxorus!"

"Haxo." Haxorus then descended to the ground, landing right on the bridge with all the Carvanha landing back in the water, defeated.

"Did you find a Dragon Pokemon down there?"

"Xo." He shook his head.

"Hm...Ah, it's fine. Let's try the inside next. We can always come back and try fishing here again."

"Haxorus!"

Equestria. Canterlot outskirts. Afternoon.

Over at Canterlot, just outside of its reach, a gateway was forming. One that had been opened by someone from another world. But this time, it was for a good intention. Neither Team Plasma nor any of Empress Twilight's forces had activated this gateway.

Instead, it was Flurry Heart. All part of her plan. After grabbing the Travel Sphere from her own universe, she was told by Giratina to come to one location. Not Giratina's original world, but this world. The perfect mixture that has everything Flurry Heart has known as well as everything Giratina knows.

At least, what it knows in the Distortion World.

Out of the gateway, Flurry Heart emerged as she was greeted with the dazzling shine of the golden sun and blue skies of this Equestria. Not only that, but she also saw how the skies were filled with Flying-Type Pokemon soaring about along with pegasi.

Everything about this was familiar yet unfamiliar to her. Compared to her current home, this was seen as a revamp or a blast to the past.

"Oh..." The alicorn gazed at the beautiful sight of Canterlot. Especially the castle. While it reminded her of her auntie's castle ship and many other ships that happen to have Canterlot Castle's interior, it had a different feeling to it. One that felt good and pure instead of ominous and intimidating.

It was something that Flurry Heart was missing as she took in the sweet air of Canterlot. "Okay. We're here now. I guess this is the perfect place to get help. Even if it might be next for my auntie to take over."

"Skitty." Just then, walking up to the alicorn princess was the always curious and bubbleheaded Skitty came over to Flurry Heart, only because it found her mane to be very attractive.

"Hm? Ah!" When seeing Skitty, Flurry got a bit of a jumpscare as the Kitten Pokemon's fur had rubbed on her hoof. But afterwards, Flurry Heart noticed that it wasn't a threat. Just a curious creature. "Oh...That scared me..."

"Skit! Skitty!"

"What are you? So cute!" When getting a better look at Skitty, Flurry Heart admired the cuteness of this cat-like creature, picking it up with her hooves. "I haven't seen anything this cute in like...um...a long time!"

"Kitty!" Admiring the compliment, Skitty decided to respond by shooting a Water Pulse at Flurry Heart, getting her face wet immediately.

"Oh..." A wet-faced Flurry Heart uttered as her mane was over her face. "That does not negate the cuteness."

"Skitty!"

"So...this is where you want to be, right?" Flurry Heart Spoke to the Ultra Ball where Giratina resided. The Renegade Pokemon responded via telepathic pulse that confirmed it. "Okay. I'll see if I can find some help. Canterlot Castle looks like a good place to start. But... you said you wanted to come out here as well?"

Giratina responded with another telepathic pulse, explaining to Flurry Heart that this world can manage Giratina's Antimatter since it is merged with the Pokemon World. All that Infinity Energy is very beneficial.

"Gotcha. But, maybe not out in the open right now. Don't wanna scare anypony." Afterwards, Flurry Heart was heading straight for Canterlot with confidence while being a tad bit nervous.

She wasn't sure how everypony was going to react to her considering she was an alicorn. And in this timeline, her baby self is still prominent and has a very distinct appearance that makes her very recognizable from first glance. It might make things awkward, but she was hoping to explain everything.

When she eventually reached Canterlot, the first thing she came across were the royal guards standing by the gates of Canterlot. Due to the incoming invasion, everyone is on high alert, especially the guards of Canterlot. There is no room for weakness right now and they even had their Golurk beside them.

Obviously, in a sense, Flurry Heart could be considered an enemy if her original universe is given away. And that was something she was not looking forward to.

She was also hoping that Giratina doesn't mess with the guards' mind like it did with that one griffin scientist back in Flurry Heart' world.

With a nervous gulp, she stood before the guards and their Golurk, stopping in place. "A-Afternoon."

"Afternoon." The guards replied as they stared at Flurry Heart to dictate why she's here and what to do. However, when looking at her, they immediately recognized her as an alicorn. "Oh, you're a princess?"

"A very familiar one too..." The second guard narrowed his eyes. "Have we seen you somewhere before? Pardon our rudeness."

"Oh. Uh, you have?" Flurry Heart was trying not to spill the truth out and mention her baby-self in this world as she let out a nervous grin.

"Yeah...I recognize those colours anywhere..." The first guard observed. "But that can't be, right? She was only born months ago."

"Princess Flurry Heart, right?" The second guard replied to his friend which made Flurry Heart shoot up. "Are you her, by any chance, princess uh..."

"My name? Well, my name is..." Flurry Heart bit her lip, looking down the ground as Skitty, who decided to tag along, looked over at the guards while Giratina stayed silent in the Ultra Ball.

"Skitty."

However, that silence didn't last forever, as Giratina sent a telepathic pulse, encouraging Flurry Heart to let the truth out instead of freezing the guards. Giratina can tell when someone's heart is good and when it is cruel.

"F-Flurry Heart. That's my name."

"Oh! It is you?! Seriously?!" They both said.

"Ah well....haha...well, yes. But..." She laughed nervously. "You see I..."

"Oh! Did you use the Age-Up spell?!" The first guard exclaimed.

"Eh?"

"Oh yeah, that makes sense, doesn't it? But at such a young age?" The second guard chimed in. "For somepony to use a spell that great they'd need amazing magic talents and skills."

"Her magic was stellar at the start remember? Destroying the Crystal Heart and everything."

"That was an honest mistake. I was just a baby so I couldn't really control it." Flurry Heart spoke as those words further made the guards believe that it was indeed an aged up version of her.

"Hm." The two guards looked at each other, nodding in understanding as they conclude. "Well. It's you alright. But...why are you here exactly?"

"I was hoping to come and see Princess Celestia and Luna. I need help. Big help. And it involves this Pokemon right here." Flurry Heart showed the Ultra Ball to the guards.

"Well, right this way, princess." The guards chose to let her in.

"Alright. Thank you!" Flurry Heart whistled as she entered Canterlot with Skitty following along. She had a lot to say and hopefully help with here in this world. One that could greatly benefit everyone later on when the invasion comes around.

And she was doing this while also taking advice and guidance from Giratina.

"...You think she's just an alternate universe version of the princess?" The first guard theorized.

"Meh. Who knows?"

Unova. Dragonspiral Tower. Indoors. Afternoon.

Finally, Spike and Axew had entered the indoors of the tower. And what a sight it was. In the past, Ash had actually been here in the tower, so his presence could most certainly be felt. It was almost as if Ash was watching Spike and Axew despite being in an unconscious state.

But aside from that, many pillars that were identical to the ones outside that surrounded the castle were half broken and laying on the floor with rubble.

There were 7 floors in total. Featuring a variety of stairs that were so abundant, sparse and rickety that only someone like King Sombra would enjoy this.

Not just that, but each floor looked like it had its own unique appearance. The first floor was fairly standard and what someone would expect from a tower. But after that, the next floors can be considered otherworldly.

"Oh boy..." Spike looked at the intimidating stairs and height of this tower. From the outside, the tower was already tall, but seeing it up close really gave him and Axew a better scope of what they were witnessing. "There are seriously Pokemon in here?"

"Axew..."

"Alright. Let's see what Pokemon we can find. Then we'll head up to the very top with Salamence, okay?"

"Xew! Axew!"

Thus, they got moving, walking through the first floor of the many area anchors in this tower. Apart from the green textured floors with odd symbols on each tile, there was a beautiful and sparkling pool of water that looked like it had cosmic stars around it.

Spike and Axew certainly took some time to admire it while climbing and jumping over the large fallen over pillars littered everywhere. The first floor wasn't relatively that big compared to the other floors, but it was fairly expansive and there was a plethora to explore.

But Spike was keeping a good lookout for any Pokemon living here. Though he wondered why anyone would want to live in someplace so ancient with mess everywhere.

He was soon going to find out which Pokemon would live here.

When walking on the first floor, Spike and Axew heard some nearby footsteps that rippled the pool of the tower. Footsteps that sounded like they belonged to a giant.

"Hear that?"

"Xew."

"Those sound pretty heavy and tough. It came from over there!" Spike pointed to the north. That's definitely a Dragon Pokemon for sure! Come on!"

"Axew!"

The two dragons ran over to the direction and rumbling of those bulky footsteps. They were hoping that it was a Dragon Pokemon. Possibly one they haven't seen yet and would love to have on the team as they jumped over the large rocks and pillars of this castle.

The footsteps were getting louder and closer. A good sign that their target was near. Spike also got a clearer look at what to expect on the other floors when he gets there. It's going to be a real trip through this entire tower. But, Salamence would seemingly make things easier for him for sure.

Once they arrived in the direction of the footsteps, which was around the corner, their excited smiles quickly turned into disappointing frowns when it was revealed which Pokemon was causing those footsteps.

It was a Golurk.

"Golurk?"

"Oh...Just Golurk..." Spike and Axew sighed. "I mean, that's a pretty good Pokemon too."

"Axew..."

"Lurk." Golurk turned to face the newcomers of the castle, putting Spike and Axew on high alert as the Automaton Pokemon was now staring at them. This could mean that a Pokemon Battle was in store.

"Uh...!" Spike stood tall. "J-Just a quick question before we probably battle...do you know where we can find a Dragon Pokemon here? Maybe? Please?"

"Lurk...Golurk." Golurk actually chose not to fight as it pointed right near the start of the second floor. Just near the stairs which were already far away. There, they would find a Dragon Pokemon for sure.

After all, there are only three Pokemon species in this entire tower. Golurk being one of them.

"Just near the second floor, huh? Got it. Thank you!" Spike and Axew thanked the Automaton Pokemon as they ran towards the location of the second floor. Just near and below it.

"Golurk."

The duo jumped over the pool of stardust water heading for their new set destination. He could feel more footsteps nearby, most likely belonging to another Golurk.

And he wasn't wrong. From the corners of this floor, more Golurk appeared, walking by, doing practically nothing in all honesty. Spike wondered what the Golurk actually do here in this run-down castle aside from just walking about. But, he quickly forgot about that and only shifted focus on the unseen Dragon Pokemon.

The Golurk did not engage with Spike and Axew. They are fairly passive Pokemon, but when the time comes, they take a call to action for sure. Especially when that seal on their chest gets removed. Although, it becomes more of a rampage than a call to action if it gets removed.

The duo of dragons were close to reaching the second floor as they could practically feel the unseen Dragon Pokemon nearby as their smiles returned. After this, they couldn't wait to get to the Village of Dragons.

"I wonder what the village is like? I might get to learn some stuff about Dragon Pokemon I've never even known about! Oh! Like-"

But, before Spike could fantasize and speak what he was hoping to discover and experience the Village of the Dragons when he eventually gets there, from above, a swift shadow came flying down at high speeds. Faster than Spike and Axew could react too.

This shadow seemed to perform some sort of dive kick as it smashed its leg into the ground, causing a hole to form while startling Spike and Axew. The two of them came to a screeching halt as they gasped collectively.

The shadow was quickly revealed to be one of the three species residing in this tower. The evolved form of Mienfoo and the Martial Arts Pokemon.

Mienshao.

"Mienshao!"

"Mienshao?" Spike spoke.

"Mien. Mien-Mien." The Martial Arts Pokemon stood tall, standing before Spike and Axew as it didn't seem here to battle.

Yet.

But it certainly was here to confront them. After hearing what Golurk said and their small conversation, the Martial Arts Pokemon pointed its arms over to the location where Spike and Axew were originally headed at.

The Trainer and Pokemon followed the arm movements of Mienshao as they noticed it was pointing at the nearby stairs to the second floor, causing them to squint and tilt their heads.

Turns out, Mienshao knew of the Dragon-Type Pokemon as well as it was quickly revealed with Dragon-Type it was. From the corner and near the stairs, some new footsteps could be heard, belonging to a different Pokemon that wasn't a Golurk.

It was yet again, one of the three species of Pokemon living here. None other than the Cave Pokemon Druddigon.

"Druddi..." Druddigon growled while walking around the tower.

"Oh! A Druddigon!" Spike gawked.

"Axew-ew!"

"Shao. Mien-Mienshao." After showing them Druddigon, the Martial Arts Pokemon quickly got into its fighting stance again, glaring at Spike and Axew with competitive eyes.

"Huh?! Wait, we're actually gonna battle?!" Spike pulled back.

"Mienshao..." Mienshao nudged its head over at Druddigon. Its body movements, mostly its head, made it clear what it was trying to do. It also made sense why it just appeared in front of them.

"Oh, I get it...If we beat you, we can get to Druddigon, right?"

"Mien." The Martial Arts Pokemon nodded.

"Okay. Sounds like a fair deal. One we don't intend to lose. Right Axew?"

"Axew!" Axew was already one step ahead of Spike as he immediately decided to transform himself into Haxorus instead of just wasting time. Mienshao is a Pokemon that isn't to be underestimated to so going all-out against it is not a bad idea.

The Golurk here stopped by to spectate over this upcoming battle as Haxorus emerged, standing before the Martial Arts Pokemon. Speaking of which, more Mienshao came over to watch this battle as they sat and stood on the pillars here.

Even Druddigon, who was walking by, stopped for a moment to see how this battle would turn out and if Spike was worthy of its trust as the journey continues.

Chapter 248 End.
