My Little Pokémon

Days without Ash

Ponyville. The Pokemon House. Day.

"Pikapi..." At this moment, Pikachu is sitting on his own at the Pokemon House. Alongside the rest of Ash's Pokemon. But there was no Ash here. Just his Pokemon.

Ash was still unconscious after yesterday. After Mewtwo read into him, she confirmed that Ash would be unconscious for 2 or 3 weeks. This would be the longest Pikachu and his teammates could go without being with Ash. And the same goes for the rest of his friends.

Ash was currently resting at the nearest hospital in Kanto until he's fully awoken. No one could really treat his Aura disorder. It seemed like something that was beyond comprehension and thought for even a skilled doctor to try and understand.

Pikachu sat alone away from most other Pokemon while Fluttershy, Twilight and Pinkie were also here, watching the Electric Mouse Pokemon. The rest of Ash's Pokemon sat in a group instead of being alone.

Dragonite was also very distraught about this as she was huddled up in a corner, whimpering uncontrollably. Lucario himself felt like he was guilty of putting Ash in such a state. He felt as if his Aura connection to Ash was just a means to further harm his trainer.

"They haven't moved yet ever since but everyone else has," Fluttershy observed. "Poor Pikachu and Dragonite..."

"Ash won't be waking up for a while now..." Twilight whimpered. "We should've gone with him back then."

"Come on, cheer up." Pinkie Pie pulled Twilight and Fluttershy in. "Ash is gonna wake up eventually, ya know. He always comes back."

"You're right about that." Twilight nodded. "Still...what about Pikachu and the others?"

"Hey uh..." Pinkie Pie dashed over to Pikachu. "If you need something, Pikachu. We're here for you okay? How does some food sound?"

"Pika." Pikachu would like some food as he nodded. He hasn't eaten yet ever since yesterday. Plus, when he's worried and upset, he gets hungry as his stomach started growling.

"I'll get some Pokemon food!" Fluttershy dashed over to her cottage as fast as she could. Lucario stood up as he decided to take a walk, trying to get everything off his mind. Gengar and Farfetch'd also sat around, not doing much. Dragonite just chose to stay while Pinkie Pie went up to try and talk to the Dragon Pokemon.

The mood wasn't the best right now. News about Ash's unconscious state quickly reached Ponyville ever since yesterday. Now everypony knows about it.

Empress Twilight's Universe. Her throne room.

"What do you mean you're unable to find her? Where is she?!" The Empress, not in the best mood right now, bellowed at one of her guards.

"D-Deepest apologies Empress! We tried contacting Luster Dawn, but she hasn't responded since yesterday or even this morning..." The guard shuddered. "The plan to retrieve the Dynamax Particles has failed as well. Not a single one was retrieved. The Umbrage Thieves that went with Team Plasma have also seemingly been taken to whereabouts unknown."

"I ask her to do one simple task and she doesn't even return..." Empress Twilight turned around as she smashed her hoof through a wall, creating a fairly large dent from something so small. "That world is getting on my last nerve...And you're sure you're unaware of her location?"

"No. We've travelled as quickly as we could. From the afternoon, night, midnight to morning and now. There is no trace of her. Even our undercover forces haven't found her."

"I see." The Empress kissed her teeth. "Perhaps Celestia has upped her game maybe..."

"Or maybe she's at the Pokemon World." Just then, Obsidian, who was now working for the Empress after being freed, chimed in with his own words while entering the throne room.

"Hm? The Pokemon World?" The Empress stood up.

"I mean, if she's not in Equestria and you can't find her anywhere, then the Pokemon World would be the place she would be kept at. It's the one world that you don't have many connections to anyway."

"Hmph. You might be right on that." The alicorn narrowed her eyes at the Rift Pony. "If so...where in the Pokemon World have they taken her to?"

"Uh...Unfortunately, having my magic being decreased means I can't do much. But if she were to be somewhere, it would probably be one of the authority places across every region. But there's a lot of them so it'll be difficult to find the right region and where she is."

"Tch. Of course." The Empress scoffed. "I swear...there'd better not be any more complications or issues later on. The invasion is almost here and I want to make sure that everything goes according to plan. Guard."

"Yes!" The guard stood tall.

"Search the Pokemon World. Every region that you can and retrieve Luster Dawn. Despite how annoying she may be...she is my best student and I cannot afford to have my successor be lost forever. Understood?"

"Yes! We'll begin our search through the Pokemon World immediately!"

"And take him with you." The Empress pointed her hoof at Obsidian. "You should know more about the Pokemon World than us anyway."

"Leave it to me," Obsidian smirked with confidence as he walked out of the room with the guard, beginning the search for Luster Dawn.

The Empress sighed as she couldn't let her frustration get to her. So far, things haven't been going smoothly as of late. She was still hoping that the invasion works out for her without any setbacks, drawbacks, flaws or anything that could jeopardize it all.

If anything, out of every universe that the Empress has viewed or learned about, this world was by far the biggest threat and the one that could cause the most problems for her. Her Umbrage Thieves have already been diminished due to some of them being arrested and her best student and protege was now being locked somewhere unknown.

If she's not careful with this invasion towards this version of Equestria, everything could all come tumbling down.

Empress Twilight's world. The Crystal Kingdom.

Here, the Crystal Empire remains. But now, it's no longer an empire. Just a kingdom. After Empress Twilight's rule, she made sure that she had the only Empire in Equestria and the entire planet overall.

And the ponies living here are all loyal to the Empress more than the ruler of this kingdom. But the one ruling this kingdom is just a single pony.

Flurry Heart was the one who ruled this kingdom, serving under her auntie's universal reign while also taking care of this world. Ever since Princess Cadence and Shining Armor were turned to stone, she had been tasked with being the new ruler. And at such a young age too.

Right now, the young alicorn went to the outskirts of the kingdom, just away from the castle to do one thing. See which Pokemon had been given to her. The Empress' alliance was given a Pokemon of their own and Flurry Heart was a part of that alliance, albeit the least relevant of them all.

She looked at the Ultra Ball that supposedly had a Legendary Pokemon within it. Like many Legendary Pokemon, this one holds immense power. Nervous and worried, the timid alicorn threw the Ultra Ball into the air, sending the Legendary Pokemon out.

Out of the Ultra Ball, a red light formed, as the energy figure of this Legendary Pokemon could be seen emerging. a large grey, draconic Pokemon could be seen with two large black ghostly wings and three red tips on each that can resemble claws. It seemed to also have six legs with claws.

Sparks of Anti-matter started flaring out, filling the air with dread and uncertainty as Flurry Heart shuddered at the sheer size and scale of this draconic Pokemon. And there was only one Pokemon that fit this description as the full figure had been revealed with a bellowing and horrific roar.

Giratina.

"O-Oh my..." A petrified Flurry Heart stood there, gazing at the Renegade Pokemon.

And Giratina stared back at her. The Ghost-Dragon-Type locked its eyes onto the young alicorn as it was finally out in the open instead of being inside of an Ultra Ball for so long.

The two of them looked at each other. One in complete fear and the other with curiosity and confusion. But not hostility. Giratina barely felt the snow beat on it while Flurry Heart herself was shivering a bit, even with a coat on.

Flurry Heart quickly noticed that Giratina wasn't doing anything at the moment. No attacking, no growling or any hostile movements that could endanger her life.

"H-Hello..." She timidly waved at the Renegade Pokemon. Flurry Heart wasn't sure what to do now. Giratina was already out of its Ultra Ball and completely unresponsive.

Giratina responded with a gentle and silent roar as it looked up to the skies of Equestria. The Renegade Pokemon was already aware of its capture. Realistically speaking, like Reshiram, Giratina shouldn't be here.

It should be in the Distortion World right now. Its own Distortion World. Which this world doesn't have. All Legendary Pokemon must remain in their respective universes to maintain balance. And thanks to Team Plasma's actions, that balance was beginning to fall apart.

Speaking of which, due to Giratina's presence here and being far away from its own universe and the Distortion World, a large imbalance started showing. The Antimatter that emanated from the Renegade Pokemon's body was starting to react to this universe.

Flurry Heart could feel the air and ground around her being affected as the molecules themselves were being distorted. This was something that Giratina didn't want as it let out a cry from its mouth. The Antimatter was beginning to disintegrate the ground itself, bit by bit. Red and black particles were consuming the ground.

The matter in this world was being unmade by Giratina's mere existence.

The alicorn quickly turned to Giratina, hearing its cry and how it sounded like the Ghost-Dragon-Type was trying to stop this. But it couldn't.

"Oh!" Flurry Heart gasped before sending the Renegade Pokemon back into the Ultra Ball, preventing the Antimatter from disintegrating everything around it.

Soon, everything returned to normal as Giratina's cry continued from within the Ultra Ball. And Flurry Heart could most definitely hear this cry as she sighed, sitting down on the cold ground.

"Oh..." The stressed alicorn looked down. "What am I even supposed to do with this Pokemon? Mom and dad would know what to do..."

Hearing Flurry Heart's whimper of sadness and fleeting hope, the Renegade Pokemon could see that Flurry Heart was not a foe. But rather, another victim of unfortunate circumstances like itself. Knowing this and hearing her words, the Ghost-Dragon-Type decided to try and communicate with Flurry Heart. With telepathy, of course.

Although, Giratina, unlike most Legendary and Mythical Pokemon, isn't well versed in telepathy. Being alone in an entirely different dimension with barely anyone else for centuries upon centuries makes it fairly difficult to properly communicate. Nevertheless, the Renegade Pokemon attempted it anyway.

It did this by crying out from the Ultra Ball while also sending red and black pulses that went straight through Flurry Heart, connecting with her mind as she heard something shocking.
"You want me to do...what?!"

Ponyville. Afternoon.

Time went on. Everypony was just getting along with their day as usual. Whether it was working at their jobs, hanging about with their friends or heading out elsewhere in Equestria.

Pikachu had just finished eating the food that Fluttershy had given him. But, it took longer for him to finish. Right now, the Electric Mouse Pokemon was walking through Ponyville on his own. Pikachu didn't exactly have a set destination at the moment.

He was just waiting for Ash to come back.

The Electric Mouse Pokemon eventually stopped walking by sitting next to Town Hall where Mayor Mare's Stoutland was also sitting about.

"Pikachu..."

"Stout?" Stoutland asked Pikachu what was wrong.

"Pikapi. PIka..."

"Land." But, Stoutland already knew about Ash's current state as he understood Pikachu's distraught emotion but also reassuring him that Ash will wake up and return eventually.

Mayor Mare came out of Town Hall, placing some Pokemon food down for Stoutland since it was time to feed him. When showing up, the mayor of Ponyville noticed Pikachu sitting next to Stoutland.

"Hm? Pikachu?" The mayor also saw the Electric Mouse Pokemon wasn't in the best mood. And she knew why. She then scooted the bowl of Pokemon food to both Stoutland and Pikachu. "Here. Would you like some?"

"Pika." Pikachu just ate so he was fine as he shook his head.

"Alright." Mayor Mare left the bowl here before re-entering Town Hall while Stoutland began digging into his food. Pikachu looked over at the rest of Ponyville, seeing everyone else getting on with their day.

The Dazzlings were having a classic sibling argument on what to do today and where to go. Adagio seems to have warmed up to Ponyville and Equestria a bit as she is now eager to get out there and try things she's never done before. Even in the Pokemon World. And her sisters will be by her side.

More Pokemon were coming by here, forming new bonds with the ponies as regulars. Especially Noctowl and other nocturnal Pokemon that keep watch over Ponyville during the night. While not having trainers, they have formed a sort of symbiotic relationship with the citizens here in this small town.

Young ponies like the Cutie Mark Crusaders were just messing around. Whether it was heading to the Pokemon exclusive locations nearby like Lapras Lake which had a Rock Attraction for Rock-Type lovers and Pokemon or even visiting PokePark and such.

More humans have even been coming by to Ponyville more recently, with Bea snacking away at SugarCube Corner due to her sweet tooth or just younger trainers playing around with the younger ponies.

But even with all of this, Pikachu still felt empty without Ash. Usually, Ash can be seen having the time of his life, trying every new thing there is without hesitation. Now, that might not happen for a while. 2 or 3 weeks max.

And speaking of Ash, Pikachu's ears picked up on something that caught his interest as they twitched. A nearby trainer was heading here to Ponyville for a Pokemon Batte against one specific person.

"Just watch. It's 100% great training practice, ya know? Ash trained my friend before and look how good she got at Pokemon battling."

"Pika?" Pikachu stood up, hearing his best friend's name come out of the mouth of someone else. He also knew that whoever this was, they were here to try and train with Ash.

He looked over to see a pegasus mare that was walking beside her little sister. One of the Pokemon Trainers taking part in inevitable and soon-to-come Equestria League.

They were here for Ash. But they would be met with an upsetting revelation since news of Ash's condition has so far only reached Ponyville and not the rest of Equestria.

"Pika!" Pikachu quickly ran off, heading for the Pokemon House while Stoutland kept eating his food.

"Stout-Stout."

"Pi! Pi! Pi!" Running as fast as he could, passing by residents of Ponyville, the Electric Mouse Pokemon was only aiming for the Pokemon House. And to speed things up, he used Quick Attack for better momentum.

The Pokemon House.

"Pikachu! Pikapi! Pika-Pika!" When he had arrived, Pikachu was expanding what he had just heard to Fluttershy, Twilight and Pinkie Pie.

"Someone's here to train with Ash? Oh...They must've not heard about what happened yet." Fluttershy translated.

"Just Ponyville. I'm pretty sure Princess Celestia herself doesn't know. Maybe Princess Luna via dreams..." Twilight responded.

"Anypony that wants to battle Ash with some training might not get that chance for a while. I know of a lot who come to ask to be trained by him to become stronger." Fluttershy turned to Twilight. "It's for the Equestria League after all."

"Well, news of it will have to pass through to most of Equestria eventually." Twilight sighed. "Let's just hope it's just 2 weeks and not more. Especially with that invasion coming soon..."

"Dino. Audino." Audino was the first to hear the incoming trainer via eight hoofsteps in total. One was the trainer and the other was her sister.

"Hm? Oh, they're here." Fluttershy uttered.

Afterwards, the pegasus and her little sister had just arrived at the Pokemon House finally, searching for Ash as he's usually seen here most of the time.

"Hello!" The orchid coloured pegasus called out. "Uh, we were told that Ash can be found here? Sorry for the intrusion, but I'm here to train with him right now."

"And I'll watch the whole thing!" The little sister waved.

"Oh. Sorry um..." Fluttershy went up to the siblings. "But Ash isn't here right now. He might not be for at least 2 or 3 weeks."

"Huh? 2 or 3 weeks? W-Why not? Where is he then?" The pegasus felt confused and a bit let down by those words.

"He's unconscious right now. He won't be able to do much for a while until he wakes up." Pinkie Pie explained. "So-so sorry!"

"Aw..." The pegasus pouted. "That's a shame. I was hoping for some refreshing up for my next Gym Battle, ya know. But, I can wait, that's fine. Even if our world's gonna be-"

"Wait." Just then, Twilight suddenly interrupted the pegasus before she could finish her sentence, stepping forward. "I'll train with you."

"Hm? Princess Twilight? You?" The pegasus' eyes widened as she pointed her hoof at the young alicorn princess.

"That's right. I'll fill in and do some practice with you instead. With Ash not available right now."

"Oh, uh, that sounds great but...I was kinda hoping for it to only be Ash. No offence princess. My friends have all been trained by him so I wanna have that same experience too. No hard feelings."

"I know. I'm not Ash. But, his Pokemon are still here." Twilight raised one wing, pointing it over at Pikachu, Lucario, Dragonite, Gengar and Farfetch'd respectively. "I can battle alongside them and train you with you instead. Plus, I picked up on some tricks that Ash taught me as well. He has trained most of Ponyville after all."

"Hmm..." The pegasus thought for a moment. "They are his Pokemon so they're extra strong...and Princess Twilight is a pretty great battler too...so this is kind of a win-win situation. She's not Ash but..."

"Whaddya think, sis?" The little pegasus asked her big sister.

"Eh. Sure." The orchid coloured pegasus shrugged. "Why not? Training is training and experience is experience no matter with who. That's uh...that's I lined I picked up from a comic, ya know?"

"Pika?" Pikachu turned to Twilight.

"Will you battle alongside me, Pikachu?" Twilight asked. "Even if I don't have that same bond Ash has with you and the others...?"

"Pikachu!" Pikachu agreed to battle alongside Twilight. Wouldn't be the first he's been under the command of some of Ash's friends. Lucario, Dragonite and the others heard this as well, knowing of Twilight's sudden decision.

Lucario actually chose to help Twilight by walking up to her. But, Farfetch'd and the others still needed time to think while on their own. Other than Pikachu and Lucario. After all, when Ash wakes up, they don't want to feel sloppy with their battling skills, so some refreshing up will still be needed either way.

The two Trainers took their positions with Twilight standing on one side and the pegasus standing on the other. Pinkie Pie would act as the referee for this as Pikachu and Lucario stood behind Twilight Sparkle.

Fluttershy, the little sister, the Pokemon living at the Pokemon House and the rest of Ash's Pokemon sat by, spectating over this incoming training session.

"Alright! The battle will be a 2 on 2!" Pinkie Pie replied. "The battle will be done for when one side is unable to continue with both Pokemon! You can both send out your Pokemon now."

"Okay! Golisopod! Go-go!" The pegasus sent her first Pokemon which was the Hard Scale Pokemon Golisopod.

"Golisopod!"

"Golisopod, huh...? Pikachu. Do you want to go up first?" Twilight asked.

"Pika-Pika!" Pikachu nodded as he would most certainly like to be up first.

"Okay! I choose you, Pikachu! Go!"

"Pikachu!" Pikachu jumped over Twilight, landing in front of her with electricity sparking out of his red sacs.

"Battle Start!"

"Okay, Golisopod! First Impression!" The orchard pegasus made the first command.

"Goli...!" From the very start of the battle, Golisopod quickly dashed right in front of the Electric Mouse Pokemon at such speed that it seemed to disappear for a second.

"Oh!" Twilight gasped as she was 3 seconds behind when Golisopod moved. Before she and Pikachu knew it, the Hard Scale Pokemon swiped its claw to the side, hitting Pikachu square in the face before sending the Electric-Type flying.

"Pika!" Pikachu cried out.

"Oh! Pikachu! U-Use Thunderbolt!"

"Pika...!" Pikachu quickly recovered by rolling in the air and sliding on the ground before covering his body in an aura of electricity. The Electric Mouse Pokemon then jumped into the air, raising his arms as he fired a blast of 100,000 volts from his body.

"Use Drill Run!"

"Sopod!" The Hard Scale Pokemon put on its claws out, making it spin so fast that it matched a drill immediately. Golisopod then thrust its claw at the bolt of lightning, clashing with it before both moves cancelled each other with an explosion happening afterwards.

"Use Quick Attack through it!"

"Pika!" Pikachu landed back on the ground before dashing in with a white aura outlining his body. The Electric Mouse Pokemon then moved at lightning speeds, passing through the smoke in an instant before smashing his head onto Golisopod's stomach.

"G-Goli!" Golisopod cried out as it had been knocked back by the sudden Quick Attack.

"Don't worry, Golisopod! Use Drill Run!"

"Goli-Goli-Goli!" Golisopod then started using both its claws, rotating them around like drills at high speeds while also blowing the grass around him away. The Bug-Water-Type then lunged towards Pikachu with its rotating claws.

"Pikachu! Counter with Iron Tail if you can!"

"Chu...Pika!" Pikachu hardened his tail to match that of steel as he leapt into the air, swinging his tail upwards. In seconds, Pikachu's tail had blocked Golisopod's two claws via a side-block. The Electric Mouse Pokemon could feel the rapid moving claws beat on his tail as he winced. "Pi-Pika!"

"Goliso!" Golisopod was able to break through with its superior attack strength as it forced its claws with extra power. With that extra power, Pikachu's Iron Tail had been deflected, causing it to move to the side.

"Pika?!"

"Pod!" Golisopod then smashed both claws onto Pikachu's stomach, making the Electric-Type feel the rotating speed of it like a drill was hitting into him.

"Pi...Pikachu!" Pikachu cried out as the attack had launched him back down to the ground, causing a hard impact when landing, resulting in a crater and dust.

"Ah! Pikachu!" Twilight gasped.

"Goli." Golisopd landed down with its claws returning to normal.

"Sorry. But I have a bad habit of going all out. My friends told me if I eventually train with Ash, I should give it everything I got." The pegasus grinned.

"Goliso.

"Pi-Pika...!" But Pikachu wasn't done yet as he got up from the ground, looking over at Golisopod.

"Can't botch this...Not for Pikachu...and especially Ash." Twilight began thinking to herself. "When Ash and Pikachu battle together, they're perfectly in sync. It's the trust between them that makes that possible. I need to have that same trust with Pikachu."

"Pika!" But suddenly, Pikachu spoke to Twilight while she was thinking, looking back at the young alicorn.

"Huh? Pikachu?"

"Pikachu..." Pikachu knew that Twilight was thinking about the downside of this. He reassured her that it was going to be okay. After all, this isn't the first time Pikachu has seen something like this. The Electric Mouse Pokemon gave Twilight a bolstering and encouraging smile and look, telling her that he already had Twilight's trust for a long time now.

Their time spent together with Ash has made Twilight and Pikachu trust each other, especially when they were trapped in the Canterlot mines during the Royal Canterlot Wedding. Pikachu knows when to trust someone, much like his Trainer. That's why he is Ash's Tried and True.

"Pikachu...Okay, I gotcha." Twilight nodded in understanding. "Sorry for that. Let's finish this together!"

"Pikachu!"

"Uh...okay." The pegasus spoke after that sudden pause during the battle. "Use Drill Run again, Golisopod!"

"Goli!" Golisopod was going for another Drill Run via spinning claws as it ran right for Pikachu.

"Let's try Countershield! Spin with Thunderbolt!"

"Pika!" Pikachu roared as he got on his back, spinning around like a disc before summoning a frenzy of electricity from his body. The volts of Thunderbolt shot out, spinning around like a violent whip or hurricane as there was now an electric barrier around him with multiple volts instead of just one.

"Goli!" Golisopod tried breaking through by striking its claws forward. But, when doing so, it was only met with ferocious Thunderbolts that fended off the spinning claws, moving at the same speed of Drill Run as well. "Pod?!" The Hard Scale Pokemon gasped before being shocked by a random blast of electricity. "G-Goli!"

"Oh! Golisopod!" The pegasus shot up.

"Pika-Pika-Pika-Pika!" Pikachu sped up his spinning with the whips becoming more volatile. Golisopd was now being punished and whipped with all these volts.

"Gol! Gol! Gol!" Golisopod cried out as it had already taken heavy damage from those volts. Intimidated, the ability of Golisopod kicked in.

Emergency Exit.

Worried it might fall here, the Hard Scale Pokemon automatically returned to its Poke Ball, swapping itself out for its teammate instead. The pegasus trainer gasped as she watched her next Pokemon being sent out.

That Pokemon was Gabite.

"Ga?"

"Not again!" The pegasus facehoofed. "Whatever! This is a good chance anyway! Gabite! Use Earth Power!"

"Gabite!" Gabite understood as it put its claws through the ground, manipulating the earth itself as golden glows were starting to form along with cracks.

"Pikachu! Look out! Jump!"

"Pika!" Pikachu quickly stopped using Counter Shield, landing on all fours as large stones were erupting from the ground, heading straight for him.

"Get on those rocks with Quick Attack!"

"Pika-Pika-Pika-Pika!" Pikachu surrounded his body in that same white glow before lunging himself towards the rocks instead of away from them. He used the speed of Quick Attack to jump from rock to rock, using them as platforms to get closer to Gabite.

"Iron Tail!"

"Chu...Pika!" Pikachu then hardened his tail, swinging it at Gabite before hitting the Cave Pokemon square in the face, causing it to flinch.

"G-Gabite!"

"Again!"

"Pika!" Pikachu went for another Iron Tail by doing an uppercut with it, hitting Gabite's chin. The Cave Pokemon fell on its back after that sudden uppercut as Pikachu jumped back. "Pika!"

"Gabite...!" Gabite got back up, holding its chin and face after those two Iron Tails.

"Pika...!" Pikachu growled at Gabite, trying to intimidate him.

"Yeesh. This was kinda worth it actually. You're pretty good, Princess Twilight." The pegasus complimented.

"Gabite."

"Thanks. Alright. Pikachu, let's-" But before, Twilight could give out the next command, Lucario decided to step in, offering a swap-out with Pikachu.

"Luca."

"Pika?"

"Hm? He wants to swap it looks like." Fluttershy translated.

"A swap out?" Twilight looked at the Aura Pokemon. "Um...I don't know...I don't exactly have an Aura bond with you Lucario. I mean, I read that Lucario are Pokemon that usually work well with their trainers by syncing up with their Aura. I don't think I count since I'm not Ash. And I was um...kinda planning on having Dragonite up next. Sorry."

"Lu." Lucario crossed his arms as he stepped forward anyway. Whether Twilight had a strong Aura like Ash or not, Lucario couldn't deny it. The Aura Pokemon knew what he was doing as he turned to face Twilight.

While Twilight doesn't have gallant and gargantuan amounts of Aura like Ash, her own was still fairly prominent and impressive in its own right. Their coordination won't match Ash and Lucario's, but it was worth a shot anyway.

"Okay. I-I guess I'll battle with you then. Pikachu, come back for now."

"Pikachu."

"Lu!" Lucario stared down Gabite.

"Hm. This is fine. Gabite! Use Earth Power!"

"Gabite!" Gabite, once again, dug its claws into the ground, summoning large rocks from the earth itself.

"Lucario! Use Aura Sphere!"

"Luca!" Lucario crossed his arms before exuding Aura out of his body. The Aura Pokemon then put his palms together, creating a ball of Aura between it. "Rio!" With pure power, Lucario sent the Aura Sphere forward as the ball of Aura charged through the large rocks.

"Gabite?!" Gabite gasped as the sphere was effortlessly destroying the rocks it had made. And before it knew it, the Aura Sphere had struck the Cave Pokemon in the chest. "G-Gabite!" Afterwards, a blue explosion of Aura engulfed Gabite, knocking it back. "G-Ga!"

"Gabite! Fire Blast!"

"Bite!" Gabite then opened its mouth, summoning an aura of fire before shooting an intense blast of all-consuming fire in a special shape.

"Double Team, Lucario!"

"Ca!" Lucario quickly created hundreds of illusory copies of himself by moving at great speeds. The Fire Blast ended up hitting a copy instead of the real one, causing the attack to end.

"Okay! Go and use Force Palm!"

"Dragon Claw, quick! Try and find the real one!"

"Luca-ca-ca-ca!" All the copies of Lucario zoned in on Gabite with their palms glowing while Gabite created green draconic energy claws.

"Gabite!" Gabite began swinging its claws around wildly, clashing with the constant barrage of Force Palms that were coming towards it.

Left and right, it kept swiping, defeating each copy easily since they weren't the real Lucario. But, there were so many of them and they kept coming that Gabite was starting to get overwhelmed.

"G-Ga! Ga! Ga!" Gabite was trying to keep up with the hundreds of Lucario as its swinging was slowing down. It could only take so much.

"Luca!" Eventually, the real Lucario showed itself, passing through one of his clones before smashing Gabite in the face at full force.

"G-Gabite!" Gabite cried out as the orange energy of Lucario's Force Palm expanded, engulfing Gabite in it. Afterwards, an explosion occurred, destroying all the copies here while Gabite was rocketed back.

"Not my Gabite!"

"G-Ga..." Smoke trailed out of Gabite's body as it fell on its back after being hit with such an attack. Afterwards, it had fainted. "Gabite..."

"Gabite's down and out! Lucario wins!" Pinkie Pie declared.

"Lu." Lucario turned around, claiming victory as he walked away.

"Yes! Great work, Lucario!" Twilight hugged the Aura Pokemon by surprise.

"L-Lu?"

"Aw...Return Gabite." The pegasus sighed, returning her partner. "Thanks a bunch. Sorry for the sudden swap out."

"Come on sis! Put in work!" The little pegasus cried out, cheering for her big sister.

"Let's try this again." The pegasus took out Golisopod's Poke Ball before sending the Hard Scale Pokemon back out.

"Goli?"

"Alright, Pikachu. You're up again." Twilight looked at Pikachu.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu nodded as he ran forward, ready for round 2.

"Don't get too nervous, Golisopod. Let's try poisoning him! Use Poison Jab!"

"Pod!" The Bug-Water-Type dashed in, covering its claws in horrifying poison.

"Iron Tail, go!"

"Pika!" Pikachu leapt while changing his tail. "Chu...Pika!" By swinging it, Pikachu clashed with one of Golisopod's claw. Due to the metal of Iron Tail, the Poison couldn't pass through.

"Goli!" Golisopod tried again with its other claw, going for Pikachu's neck.

"Pika!" Pikachu quickly reacted by swinging his tail towards Golisopod's other claw, clashing with that one as well. The two of them went back and forth afterwards with one trying to poison and the other trying to land a proper hit. It was like two swords going at it.

"Pikachu! Jump back and use Electroweb!"

"Pika!" Pikachu then stopped using Iron Tail as he retreated, avoiding Golisopod's next poisonous swipe. The Electric Mouse Pokemon lit his tail up, creating a ball of electricity that was ready to be transformed.

"Drill Run!"

"Sopod!" Golisopod spun its claws around before charging straight at Pikachu, hoping to hit him before Electroweb comes out. Twilight was waiting for Golisopod to get close enough.

"Go!"

"Pika!" Pikachu then violently swung its tail sending the ball forward as it changed into a web. The net of electricity caught Golisopod immediately due to how close it was, encasing and halting the Hard Scale Pokemon.

"G-Goli?!" Golisopod gasped as it was now trapped within the net while also being shocked.

"Now! Thunderbolt! Full force!"

"Pikachu!" Pikachu jumped into the air, raising his arms while summoning a ferocious aura of lightning around his body. It sounded like thunder rumbling as he later sent the blast of lightning down at full power.

"Get out of there, Golisopod! Try cutting through with Liquidation!"

But it was too late.

A smite had been given to Golisopod before it could act and cut its way out. 100,000 volts rained down and struck the Hard Scale Pokemon head-on while also reacting to the web.

Afterwards, an outburst of electricity happened with Golisopod right in the centre. The Electric Mouse Pokemon looked at the explosion whilst all of the other Pokemon were startled by it.

They leaned forward to see what had become of Golisopod. And after taking an Electric attack such as that, it had unfortunately fainted.

"Golisopod..."

"Golisopod's out cold! Pikachu wins! Which means the winner is Twilight!"

"Yes! Woohoo! We did it Pikachu!" Twilight cheered with excitement as Pikachu hopped into her hooves for a hug.

"Pikachu! Pika!"

"Come here, Lucario!" Twilight also pulled Lucario in for a hug, which the Aura Pokemon wasn't too fond of. But, he could let it slide.

"Geez...Guess she learned more from Ash than I did..." The pegasus went up to her Golisopod, sighing in defeat. "Thanks a bunch, Golisopod.

"Goli..."

"Aw, you lost..." The little sister went up to her big sister, pouting.

"Yeah. My bad on that one. Guess I should've expected a lot from the Princess of Friendship." She awkwardly lost. "And I was going up against Ash's Pokemon too. Princess Twilight!"

"Hm?" Twilight turned to the orchard coloured pegasus.

"Thanks for the battle!" She waved. "It was a blast!"

"It was, wasn't it?" Twilight nodded.

"Even though I didn't get to train with Ash, I'm still pretty satisfied. Plus, I can brag to my friends that I battled the Princess of Friendship. Haha!" The pegasus laughed, returning her Golisopod as she and her sister were heading back home.

"Hah!" Pinkie dashed over to Twilight. "That was a total success! Look at that champion smile!" She held Pikachu's face as he was letting out a wide smile, no longer frowning anymore.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu was indeed feeling a bit better when battling alongside Twilight.

"Woohoo!" Fluttershy, Chikorita, Audino and Scorbunny clapped for them. Twilight then looked over at Dragonite, Gengar and Farfetch'd who had actually seen the battle occur. While they didn't take part in it, they did have better reassurance from Twilight as things were less down and glum for them.

"We might have to keep this up together until Ash wakes up? What do you say?" Twilight asked, knowing that she would be working alongside Ash's Pokemon for the following days and especially when the invasion comes by.

"Pikachu!"

It'll be a long process with trials and tribulations that Ash is mostly prepared for and now Twilight will have to be the one ready for what is it to come as the journey continues.
