“Rainbow, did you take my five? I only see a twenty in my wallet.”
Applejack, knowing that Rainbow Dash is the only person in her household, decided to ask her where her other dollar went.
“Oh I actually borrowed it to buy this Mountain Dew.” she replied. “Do you think I can borrow the twenty too? I want to buy some new kicks.”
“Rainbow you can’t just… fine, whatever, just pay me back.”
As Applejack reached into her wallet to give Rainbow a twenty, she realised it had gone missing.
“The hell? It was just in here.”
“Oh actually, I already borrowed it. Thanks.”
Applejack looked down at Rainbow’s feet, seeing that she had fresh, brand new shoes.
“What? How did you just buy those?” Applejack asked, confused as all hell.
“I borrowed your money.” Rainbow Dash said casually.
“But, how’d you take my twenty and buy it so fast?”
“Instant shipping my friend.”
“No that’s… that’s not how that works.”
“Can I borrow another ten dollars? I need to buy some lotion. My skin is starting to be drier than the Sahara Desert.”
“No Rainbow. I don’t have any more cash. You took it all.”
“What about your bank account?”
Applejack didn’t know what Rainbow Dash was hinting at but just went with it.
“Yeah, I mean I still got money in there.”
“So can I borrow it?”
“I’d have to drive all the way to the bank, and take out ten dollars just for you.”
“So can I borrow it?”
At this point, Applejack had given up and just decided to give Rainbow the ten dollars. “Sure, I’ll do that for you.”
As Applejack headed to grab her keys, she heard something hitting the floor. Confused, she turned around seeing a bottle of lotion next to Rainbow Dash.
“Thanks.” Rainbow said in a monotone voice.
Applejack was not only confused, but also surprised. “Was that… did you just buy that?”
“Yes.”
“How?”
“I borrowed your money.”
“But, how’d it just appear out of thin air?”
“Instant shipping.”
“No no, that’s not how it works. What do you mean you borrowed my money?”
“You said I could borrow another ten dollars. So I did.”
“No. There’s no way you took ten dollars out of my bank acco-”
Applejack was interrupted by a notification from her phone. As she took it out to see the notification, she froze. The notification was from the US Bank. It said “$10 withdrawal.”
“WHAT!?!?!?!?! HOW!?!?!?!?!?!” Applejack exclaimed, shocked and confused.
Rainbow Dash just ignored Applejack’s question. “Can I borrow another twenty-five dollars? I need to buy a fan.”
Applejack decided to neglect Rainbow’s request, thinking that her money won’t randomly be withdrawn from her bank account. “No you can’t.”
Unfortunately, that didn’t work. A fan just fell out of thin air and landed next to Rainbow Dash.
“WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!” Applejack’s brain started to hurt.
“Can I borrow four hundred dollars?”
“Is this girl crazy?!” Applejack thought to herself. “That is way too much money to lend.” “But how!?!?!?!”
Rainbow Dash just replied with the same answer. “I borrowed your money.”
“I didn’t even let you borrow it that time!”
“I’m once again asking for a small loan of four hundred dollars please.”
“What do you even need four hundred dollars for?”
Another item falls out from wherever and hits the floor.
“A gaming chair.”
“Oh no. OH no.”
“Can I borrow three thousand two hundred forty dollars?”
A laptop in its box falls out of the sky and lands in Rainbow Dash’s hands.
“Thanks.”
“OHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOO!!!! HOW MUCH MONEY DO YOU I EVEN HAVE LEFT!?!?!!?!?!”
“No Applejack. How much money do I have left?”
Applejack ignores Rainbow Dash, taking out her phone to see how much money she has left in her bank account. Once she opened it up, her heart stopped.
“Thirty dollars Rainbow.”
A book then falls into Rainbow’s hands.
“You mean zero dollars.”
“What is that?”
Rainbow flips the book to its front cover. “It’s a book I bought for you. You’re gonna need it.” The title of the book said ‘Money Saving Tips.’
“Rainbow, you need to get a job. I need my money too.”
“You’re right.”
There was a slight pause.
“Can I borrow your job?” Rainbow Dash asked.
“No. How do you… how do you borrow my job?”
Suddenly, Applejack's phone started to ring. Taking out her phone to see who it’s from, Applejack saw that the call was from her boss from her job.
“Answer your phone Applejack.”
But Applejack couldn’t. She wouldn’t.
“Answer your phone.” Rainbow Dash repeated sternly.
Applejack put her phone up to her ear. “Hello?”
“Hey Applejack. I was calling to let you know that we actually found another person to fill in for you so uh, we’re not gonna need you anymore.”
“Okay.” Applejack hung up. She was slowly losing her mind. “She took my job. SHE LITERALLY TOOK MY JOB!!”
“No Applejack. I borrowed it.”
Applejack was furious. “What do you mean you borrowed it?! Are you gonna give it back to me in like a week or something?!”
“No.”
“Rainbow. How am I going to feed my family?”
“What family?” Rainbow Dash said in a sinister tone.
“My sister Apple Bloom, my brother Big Mac, and Granny Smith.”
“What family?” Rainbow Dash repeated in the same sinister tone.
“No… you didn’t.”
“Didn’t what Applejack?”
“WHY WOULD YOU!?!?!?!”
“Why would I what Applejack?”
“THEY’RE ALL I HAVE LEFT!!!”
“That’s too bad…” Rainbow Dash paused. “Because I borrowed them too!”
“NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!”
“I borrowed your family Applejack.”
“NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!”
“Each and every one of them.”
“WWWHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!?!?!?!?!?!?!”
“All of them… Except for Winona. You can keep her.”
“NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!”
Tears began to form in Applejack’s eyes as she collapsed to the floor with defeat.
“Aw, there there Applejack.” Rainbow said, patting Applejack on the back. “It’s okay. You still have us. Pinkie, Fluttershy, Rarity, Twilight, Sunset, and me. Speaking of which, I think I’ll head to Pinkie’s. Still have things to buy and clearly you’re broke. Good thing I bought you that book.”
As soon as Rainbow Dash said that to her, Applejack knew things weren’t gonna go well. “No. NO!! You wouldn’t!!”
But it was too late. Rainbow Dash had already left the house, headed to Pinkie’s. Applejack quickly chased after her, not wanting to have Pinkie face the horrible tragedy she went through.
“Oh! Hi Dashie!” Pinkie cheerfully greeted as she let Rainbow Dash enter her house.
“Hey Pinkie. Uh, do you mind if I borrow sixty dollars? Really want to buy the new Pokémon Sword and Shield game.”
“Of course! I mean, it’s not like you’ll keep asking me for more cash till I run out, then things start falling out of the sky, taking me out of my job, borrowing my whole family, and repeating the cycle to another one of our friends.”
“Yeah, hehe. Definitely would not do that.”
