Melemele Meadow. Afternoon.
Right now, Rainbow Dash was having a Grand Trial battle against the Island Kahuna Hala. This was all still related to the Pokemon School and the Z-Move lesson. Hala had just sent out his Crabominable while Rainbow Dash chose her Castform, who was in his Sunny Form.
"Battle Start!" Brawly gave the call to begin the battle.
"Crabominable! Bubble Beam!" Hala commanded.
"Crab!" The Woolly Crab Pokemon jumped up as he shot out a beam of blue bubbles from the outside of its large pincers, sending them straight for Castform.
"Castform, dodge it and use Weather Ball!"
"Cast!" The Weather Pokemon ascended into the skies, evading the barrage of bubbles that came his way by reaching a higher level. Castform then opened his mouth, forming a ball of fire by channelling the sun itself before shooting it at the Fighting-Ice-Type.
"Bom?" The Woolly Crab Pokemon noticed that his attack had missed before witnessing a ball of fire crash into him afterwards, causing a blazing explosion to happen on the spot. "Crabomi!" Crabominable definitely took super-effective damage from that as he was pushed back by the explosion.
"Use Weather Ball again!"
"Cast...!" Castform was ready to go for a second super-effective hit as he shot another ball of fire out of his mouth.
"Knock it back with Brutal Swing!"
"Bominable!" Crabominable recovered with little time as his pincers lit up with a dark aura surrounding them. Once Weather Ball came close, due to the amazing length of them, the Wolly Crab Pokemon swung its dark-clad pincers, hitting the ball of fire and sending it right back at Castform.
"Cast?!" Castform gasped as his own attack was sent back at faster speeds, hitting the Weather Pokemon dead-on. As payback, an explosion of fire had also graced Castform. "Castform!"
"Ah! Castform!" Rainbow Dash looked up at the smoke caused by the explosion. Castform came flying out of it as he hadn't fainted yet.
"Form!"
"Now! Ice Hammer!"
"Cra...Bominable!" Crabominable suddenly smashed its own pincers onto the ground, launching itself upwards with the shockwave to reach Castform. The Fighting-Ice-Types pincers then became covered in ice afterwards.
"Look out! Use Shock Wave!"
"Castform!" Castform's body became surrounded by light blue electricity before releasing a beam of light blue electricity from his body.
"Crabom!" But, Crabominable, with his superior strength, swung his pincers through the beam of electricity like it was nothing. After blitzing through the Shock Wave, the Wolly Crab Pokemon then struck the Weather Pokemon with a frozen punch, square in its entire body.
"Cast!" Once more, Castform had been sent flying from the hit. While the attack wasn't very effective, due to Castform's fragile body and Crabominable's heavy punches, the attack still stung, even if it was an Ice-Type move.
"Now use Power-Up Punch!"
"Bomina!" Crabominable landed back down on the ground before going in for another attack as his pincers lit up with an orange aura. With a follow-up, the Wolly Crab Pokemon lunged into the air, going after Castform.
"No, you don't! Descend Castform!"
"Cast!" Castform quickly descended to a lower level, avoiding Crabominable's upwards attack entirely.
"Crab?" The Fighting-Ice-Type looked down to see Castform changing directions. Due to this miss, Crabominable starting fall from above as well.
"Now, Weather Ball from below!"
"Castform!" Castform raised his head, charging up a sphere of blazing fire from his mouth and ready to send it straight towards the airborne Crabominable.
"Quick! Hit it back with Power-Up Punch!"
"Crabo...!" Crabominable was surprisingly able to maintain his composure despite falling from above in the air. The Fighting-Ice-Type then raised its arms, ready to hit the attack back at Castform.
"Fire down!"
"Form!" In a twist, Castform actually fired Weather Ball onto the ground instead of upwards at Crabominable. With the ball of fire hitting the ground, an explosion occurred around that area, causing a powerful smoke cloud to form. Castform was planning to use this as a means to hide from Crabominable.
"Crab?" The Woolly Crab Pokemon finally landed down, right in the midst of the smoke as well. With Crabominable entering the large cloud of smoke, even Hala couldn't see his own Pokemon.
"Hm?" Hala leaned forward, looking at the smoke. He tried to see if he could peer further and spot his partner. "Crabominable! Blow the smoke away with Brutal Swing!"
"Crab!" Crabominable spread his pincers out, covering them in darkness as he began spinning around, kicking up wind to try and blow the smoke cloud away.
"Heh! Weather Ball!"
"Castform!" Castform suddenly revealed himself by flying out of the smoke and ascending into the air, just above Crabominable who was currently spinning. "Form!" The Weather Pokemon then fired one more Weather Ball with fire around it from his mouth.
"Ah! Up, Crabominable! Bubble Beam!"
"Bominable!" Crabominable was able to quickly clear out the smoke in no time because of his amazing strength. After looking up, the Woolly Crab Pokemon shot out beams of bubbles towards Weather Ball.
The array of bubbles crashed with the ball of fire as they surprisingly cancelled each other out, creating a white smoke could this time.
"Jump and use Bubble Beam!"
"Crab!" Crabominable then decided to get closer to Castform by jumping off the ground while preparing some more bubbles.
"Weather Ball, go!"
"Cast...!" Castform prepared the biggest Weather Ball he had yet as he channelled all of the sun's power into this one attack, hoping to finish Crabominable off this time.
"Crab...!" The Fighting-Ice-Type jumped so high he got up in Castform's face Both Pokemon, at the same time, released their attacks at each other, right in front of each other.
Due to them being so close to each other in a close range, the two attacks imploded against each other, blowing up in front of both Pokemon and their faces. An explosion of Fire and Water blew them both back, sending the two Pokemon flying back down to the ground with a hard collision afterwards.
"Oh!" Rainbow Dash gasped as she and Hala both leaned in along with everyone watching this Grand Trial occur. Once the smoke in the clouds and ground cleared, the result of both Pokemon had been revealed.
Due to two super-effective attacks hitting each other at the same time and sending them both down, Castform and Crabominable had each fainted at the same time, lying flat on their backs.
"Castform..."
"Crabominable..."
"Castform and Crabominable are both unable to battle! So this round a draw!" Brawly declared.
"A draw, hm?" Hala nodded as he recalled his Crabominable, looking at the Poke Ball. "You did your best."
"Great job, Castform." Rainbow Dash flew over to Castform. "You took that guy out real good. But sorry you weren't able to continue..."
"Castform..."
"Mienfoo." Mienfoo, being a good friend, picked Castform up from the ground and placed him inside of Rainbow Dash's saddlebag to rest.
Now it was her turn as it was coming down to just Mienfoo and Hala's last Pokemon which was without a doubt going to be his Hariyama who was standing next to the Island Kahuna.
"Castform's gotten better, hasn't he?" Ash had observed. "Very soon, he's gonna be winning battles without fainting once from the looks of it."
"Pikachu." Pikachu nodded in agreement.
"I need your help please, Hariyama." Hala turned to his partner.
"Hari." Hariyama understood as he walked up to Hala, stepping in front of him. "Hariyama."
"You're up, Mienfoo. Let's get that Z-Crystal, okay?"
"Mienfoo!" Mienfoo nodded as she front-flipped over Rainbow Dash, getting into a stance and preparing herself.
"Get ready, Hala. When Mienfoo and I battle, we don't let up on our opponents. Being rough and aggressive is what we're all about."
"Foo!"
"Hm...Is that so? Well, you'll need more than aggressiveness to stop Hariyama and me." Hala declared as he performed a sumo stomp with Hariyama.
"Hariya!"
"Mienfoo! Acrobatics!"
"Mien!" The Martial Arts Pokemon bolted off the ground, lunging into the air before flipping multiple times and going straight for a dive kick.
"Fake Out!"
"Hariyama!" The Arm Thrust Pokemon's hands glowed orange as he clapped them together, catching Mienfoo's foot and stopping Acrobatics. When he clapped onto her foot, a large shockwave of air comes out of them.
"Mienfoo?!" Mienfoo gasped as she started wiggling her leg around, trying to break free.
"Now, Knock Off!"
"Hari!" Hariyama narrowed his eyes before changing the colour of his glow to white. The Arm Thrust Pokemon then lifted Mienfoo into the air while still holding her foot, causing her to scream. Hariyama then slammed Mienfoo into the ground.
"Mien!"
"Ah, Mienfoo!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, leaning forward.
"Yama!" Hariyama then tossed Mienfoo away, finally letting go of her as the Martial Arts Pokemon tumbled on the ground afterwards.
"M-Mien! Foo...!"
"Mienfoo! Are you okay?!"
"Mienfoo!" Mienfoo got up, smashing her paw onto the ground while looking at her fellow Fighting-Type.
"How's that?" Hala crossed his arms.
"Tch!" Rainbow Dash kissed her teeth. "We're just getting started! Mienfoo! Let's overwhelm them! Fury Swipes! Non-stop!"
"Mienfoo!" Mienfoo then separated her arms, revealing her hidden claws which were glowing. The Martial Arts Pokemon then rushed towards Hariyama, ready to aggressively strike him.
"Hariyama, use Arm Thrust!"
"Hari!" Hariyama's large hands lit up with a yellow colour as he was ready to tackle Mienfoo's aggressive approach.
"Mien! Mien! Mienfoo!" Once the Martial Arts Pokemon got close, she started swinging her claws wildly at Hariyama at a breakneck pace, not planning on slowing down anytime soon.
"Hari! Hari!" Hariyama also moved his own hands at a breakneck pace as well, clashing with Mienfoo's swipes while also blocking them with each chance.
Mienfoo's claws kept meeting with Hariyama's large hands with sparks flying. The Martial Arts Pokemon was trying to break through Hariyama's massive arms while also combating Arm Thrust at the same time. The defence of Hariyama was one to be admired.
"Speed up!"
"Mien!" But there was one advantage Mienfoo had over Hariyama and that was speed. With each strike, her movements increased. She may not have the heavy power output like Hariyama but she could certainly deal little continuous damage via speed build-up.
Mienfoo sped up as her swipes were moving so fast that they were starting to become blurs and afterimages at this rate. Something that Hariyama couldn't fully keep up with.
"H-Hari!" Hariyama gained a worried sweatdrop as he knew that if Mienfoo kept going like this, she would eventually break through his massive guard and land numerous high-speed hits.
"Hm! Not good..." Hala uttered his breath. "Hariyama break free of it!"
"Yama!" Hariyama decided to put an end to this little clash of moves. The Arm Thrust Pokemon blocked Mienfoo's next swipe by putting his two hands together by pushing his hands forward. When he pushed them forward, he created a shockwave that launched Mienfoo back, breaking the clash up.
"Mien?!" Mienfoo went back as she recovered on the ground.
"Perhaps your aggressive style is not one to be taken lightly...We'll deliver damage beyond damage! Hariyama! Belly Drum!"
"Hari!" Hariyama suddenly began using his massive hands to beat on his own belly, causing white ripples to appear as well as the sound of a drum being hit. Hariyama continued to do this repeatedly with more ripples and drum sounds coming out. "Yama! Hari! Yama! Hari! Yama!"
"What the...? What's he doing?" Rainbow Dash narrowed her eyes as she hadn't heard or seen this move before.
"Mien?"
"Belly Drum maximizes the user's attack power but also really halves their energy down..." Ash observed. "Not good. If Mienfoo gets hit by one or two moves, it's gonna leave an impact for sure."
"Pikachu..."
"Observe as we go all out and end this!" Hala roared. "Here we go, Hariyama!" All of a sudden, he put his hands together in a very familiar way. A way that reacted to the Fightinium Z-Crystal on his ring as it suddenly let out a golden light. Rainbow Dash gasped as she immediately recognized what was going on.
Hala was using a Z-Move.
"Uh-Oh!" The pegasus screeched. "They're using a Z-Move now?!"
"Mienfoo?!"
"Hm!" Hala grunted as he got into a sumo-stance, raising his leg before slamming it onto the ground, causing the area to tremble a small bit with Hariyama following his movements. "My precious Melemele Island and the Guardian Deity Tapu Koko, share you will with the Island Kahuna!" Hala then struck a series of poses with Hariyama.
"Urgh...!" Rainbow Dash pulled back, wincing with one twitching.
"Ha! Ha!" Hariyama's body started emanating a red blazing aura that surrounded his entire body as he punched the air a few times. "Now, let us combine all our strength!" The aura then flew towards Hariyama, outlining the Arm Thrust Pokemon as well in its blazing colour as the Z-Symbol appeared in front of it. "Feel the wrath of an unrivalled fierce fist!"
"Hari!"
"Here it comes!" Ash and the others leaned forward.
"Fine then...!" Rainbow Dash scoffed. "We'll return the favour with the same amount of power!" Rainbow Dash had an idea brewing but it was a quick one and very risky too. And it involved the usage of two moves. "Mienfoo! First! Dash in and dodge with Acrobatics!"
"Mienfoo!" Mienfoo nodded as she immediately ran towards Hariyama despite the incoming Z-Move.
"ALL-OUT PUMMELING!"
"HARI!" Hariyama then repeatedly rammed a barrage of orange, hand-shaped energy at the Martial Arts Pokemon at breakneck speeds while repeatedly moving his own arms at ludicrous speeds. "Hari-ri-ri-ri-ri!"
"Mien! Mien!" Mienfoo narrowed her eyes as she started using the speed of Acrobatics to nimbly evade the incoming hand strikes as hard as she could. Each time she evaded them, the hands hit the ground, causing large orange explosions to appear behind or beside the Martial Arts Pokemon as she was closing in on the Arm Thrust Pokemon.
"Hariya!"
"M-Mien! Foo! Mien!" The closer Mienfoo got, the harder it became to avoid the large energy hands as Mienfoo was starting to stumble and lose focus with the explosions only getting bigger each time. Eventually, one of the energy hands caught Mienfoo off guard, appearing in front of the Martial Arts Pokemon and hitting her directly. "Mien!"
With a direct hit, Mienfoo was sent flying from the impact and explosion, heading straight into the air with smoke trailing out of her.
"Here goes...Reversal!"
"M-M-Mien!" Mienfoo groaned as her eyes suddenly flashed red. After taking such heavy hits, she had a bit left in her as her paws glowed red. The Martial Arts Pokemon then flipped in the air, recovering in no time as she launched herself towards the Arm Thrust Pokemon after taking All-Out Pummeling.
"Yama?!" Hariyama gasped.
"Mienfoo!" Mienfoo yelled as she smashed her paw onto the wide belly of Hariyama, returning all the damage she took from All Out Pummeling to Hariyama with her increased strength.
"H-Hari!" Hariyama's eyes widened as his belly became a bit inverted after the hit. Afterwards, the Arm Thrust Pokemon was launched back with incredible force while a shockwave came flying out, adding to that face. Mienfoo herself landed on the ground safely after delivering the hit.
"Oh!" Hala stepped forward, witnessing that surprising counterattack. But, Hariyama was still standing after the increased power from Reversal.
"H-Hariyama...!" Hariyama got on one knee afterwards, looking at Mienfoo. Using Belly Drum before was also a drawback as well as a boost in power. Since his energy was cut in half, him taking that Reversal now put the Arm Thrust Pokemon on Mienfoo's level.
"M-Mien...!" Mienfoo also got on one knee since All-Out Pummeling still hurt her in the end.
"Oh!" Ash and the others gawked at Mienfoo's survival as well as Hariyama. "That's some endurance!"
"She didn't go down after that?!" Valerie gasped along with the students.
"As expected from someone being taught by Ash himself..." Hala observed. "I should've expected much. You are indeed a worthy and powerful Trainer, Rainbow Dash."
"Hehe." Rainbow Dash let out a confident laugh as she flipped her mane. "Just watch. We can't back down now. Let's finish this Mienfoo! Force Palm on the ground!"
"Foo!" Mienfoo raised one arm before slamming it onto the ground at full strength. When doing so, the orange energy that usually comes out of Force Palm ended up going through the ground itself.
Then, the ground suddenly trembled with cracks forming. And out of those cracks, orange energy shockwaves came flying out, heading straight for Hariyama from all directions, minus the back.
"Hari?!"
"Block it with Arm Thrust, Hariyama!"
"Hariya!" Hariyama quickly put his arms up, making them glow as he was ready to try and block the incoming energy shockwaves with all he had left.
"Heh!" But, Rainbow Dash was hoping that Hariyama would block them. She and Mienfoo could strike while the iron was hot. "Acrobatics, go!"
"Mienfoo!" A combination attack had been used. First was Force Palm that was going for Hariyama and next was Acrobatics. This is what Rainbow Dash was planning.
The Martial Arts Pokemon's body glowed light-blue as she quickly zipped through the air, heading straight for Hariyama. And at the same time, Hariyama's arms had just met with the energy shockwaves of Force Palm, forcing him to block it.
"Look out, Hariyama!"
"H-Hariyama!"Hariyama groaned as he looked up to see Mienfoo approaching him. He couldn't do anything about her right now since Force Palm was the main issue for him right now as he tried to push the shockwaves back.
"Mien!" But it was too late, with all her might, Mienfoo smashed her foot onto Hariyama's head with a powerful streak of wind coming, forcing him to lose focus and drop his guard. And with his guard dropped, the energy shockwaves of Force Palm could continue as they ended up hitting the Arm Thrust Pokemon by consuming him in a pillar of orange energy. All the while, Mienfoo's feet smashed Hariyama's head.
Afterwards, an influx of orange explosions occurred, mostly from all the shockwaves from Force Palm. The explosion caused a wind pressure that made everyone's hair and clothes flow in the wind while Mienfoo backflipped out of the explosion.
"Mienfoo!"
As for Hariyama, once the explosion vanished and everything settled, the Arm Thrust Pokemon had unfortunately fallen on his back and fainted.
"Hariyama..."
"Kahuna Hala's Hariyama is unable to battle! Mienfoo wins!" Brawly pointed at Rainbow Dash. "Which means the victor of this Island Challenge Grand Trial is Rainbow Dash!"
"Yes! Yes!" Rainbow Dash let out a yell of happiness and victory as she and Mienfoo tapped hoof and paw, replicated a high-five.
"Mienfoo!"
"Awesome, Dash!" Ash stood up as Pikachu and the rest of the students here cheered for Rainbow Dash's victory.
"Pikachu!"
"Thank you. Hariyama." Hala called his partner back into his Poke Ball before looking at it. "You tried your best. And so did you, Rainbow Dash. That was a truly wonderful battle. You, your Castform and Mienfoo gave it everything you had.
"Thanks! We sure did!" Rainbow Dash winked at Mienfoo who had crossed her arms, nodding in agreement.
"Mien."
"I could feel your youthful and splendid aura during that entire battle. Which is why I believe you are truly deserving of a Z-Crystal. As Kahuna of Melemele Island, I, Hala, declare that you, Rainbow Dash, have completed this Grand Trial!" Hala spread his arms out, letting everyone in the meadow hear it loud and clear.
"Great stuff, Rainbow Dash." Brawly went up to the pegasus. "Did better than my first go that's for sure. Passing this Grand Trial might make you go up in the Pokemon School, ya know?"
"Really? Sweet!" Rainbow Dash grinned.
"Now then..." Hala dug into the sleeves of his jacket, pulling out the Fightinium Z and holding it out. "You have earned this Z-Crystal, young Rainbow Dash. The Fightinium Z. The true power of a Fighting-Type will be unleashed with this on your side. Any Fighting move that activates it."
"Ooh..." Rainbow Dash took the Fightium Z off of Hala's hands before raising it to the sky as the sun beamed on it. "Haha! First Z-Crystal! A total win! Wait till everypony else hears about this!"
"Mienfoo!"
Wela Volcano Park. Afternoon.
With Fluttershy and Scootaloo, they had arrived at Wela Volcano Park finally thanks to Olivia's advice. There, they will be able to find the Totem Pokemon and potentially succeed in obtaining the Firium Z.
Right now, they were walking steep paths that this mountainside had. The trial could be found up at the very top of this area. As told to them by a local Hiker here. It seemed like a fairly long way up there. From the steep paths, a group of Alolan Graveler were rolling down the hills with Alolan Golem skipping along.
"Grave! Graveler!"
"Geo! Geo-Geodude!"
"Ooh!" Scootaloo's eyes were instantly captivated by these Alola variants as she pulled her Pokedex to scan these passing Pokemon.
"Geodude. The Rock Pokemon. Alolan Form. Its body is a magnetic stone. Iron sand attaches firmly to the portions of its body that are particularly magnetic. If you accidentally step on a Geodude sleeping on the ground, you’ll hear a crunching sound and feel a shock ripple through your entire body."
"Graveler. The Rock Pokemon. Alolan Form. Its preferred food is dravite. After it has eaten this mineral, crystals form inside the Pokémon, rising to the surface of part of its body. They eat rocks and often get into a scrap over them. The shock of Graveler smashing together causes a flash of light and a booming noise. When it comes rolling down a mountain path, anything in its way gets zapped by electricity and sent flying. People call it the Fireworks of the Earth."
"Oh." Scootaloo, who was still riding on Ponyta, moved to the side to make sure she wouldn't be hit by a passing Graveler.
"We're here now," Fluttershy said as they had walked far enough. They finally reached the highest point of this mountainside. This is where the Totem Pokemon could be found. Right at the very peak.
However, when they finally arrived here, they certainly did see the Totem Pokemon, however, they weren't expecting to see it in this current state.
A state that involved sleeping and resting. And the Pokemon currently resting was an Alolan Marowak, who was lying on her back, fast asleep.
"Maro...Maro..." The Totem Pokemon snored.
"I-Is that the Totem Pokemon?" Scootaloo stuttered.
"I think so...But he looks asleep right about now. Maybe we shouldn't interrupt him right now."
"Then what do we do? We're here for the Island Trial, aren't we?"
"Well...yes." Fluttershy nodded. "But we should also have patience. We don't want to wake Marowak up from his sleep, do we?"
"Mrrgh...But we only have 2 hours left. And we spent a lot of time getting here." Scootaloo growled. "I really want that Firium Z...!"
"Maro...?" Scootaloo's slight raise of tone, Marowak twitched while asleep as Fluttershy and Scootaloo gasped, leaning in after the twitch. They were hoping that he was about to wake up and start the trial. "Maro..." But, it was just a slight twitch as Marowak continued to sleep, causing Scootaloo to sigh in disappointment.
"Oh well... guess we'd better just sit here and wait..." Scootaloo laid on Ponyta's back while the Fire Horse Pokemon sat down.
"Scor! Scorbunny!" Scorbunny, much like Scootaloo, really wanted to start this trial so that the Firium Z could be obtained. He aggressively pulled on Fluttershy's hoof, nudging her as well. "Bun!"
"Oh, Scorbunny. I'm not sure I want-"
"Scor!" Scorbunny jumped up and down.
"Hm? You think he's just sleeping on the job?"
"Bunny!" The Rabbit Pokemon nodded.
"Well...he could be doing that."
"Then let's wake him up and start the trial. Please?" Scootaloo and Scorbunny looked at Fluttershy, giving her puppy-dog eyes. Very convincing ones as well.
"Um..." Fluttershy scrunched her face, looking at Audino and Chikorita who shrugged and didn't know how to respond to any of this themselves. "Okay. I'll ask and see if he wants to start or rest a bit."
The pegasus gave into the puppy-dog eyes, walking over to the Bone Keeper Pokemon while Scootaloo and Scorbunny let out tiny silent cheers.
"Maro...Maro..."
"Um, excuse me. Marowak?" Fluttershy spoke as her gentle voice reached the Bone Keeper Pokemon, causing him to open one eye up, looking at the pegasus.
"Wak?"
"Sorry for interrupting your sleep. We're here for the Island Trial, but if you want to rest some more, we can wait for a while. If that's okay with you."
"Marowak..." Marowak yawned as he got up from the ground, grabbing his bone while stretching his muscles. After responding to Fluttershy's words and question, the Fire-Ghost-Type knew that it had a role as a Totem Pokemon. The other Marowak here don't. "Maro."
"Oh! You're ready to go?"
"Marowak." Marowak nodded.
"Yes!" Scootaloo and Scorbunny cheered as Fluttershy flew back.
"Scorbun!"
"Marowak!" Marowak spun his bone around before stomping it on the ground, declaring the initiation of this Island Trial himself. However, before the trial could start, Marowak suddenly tapped his stomach, letting out a sigh.
"Hm?" Fluttershy observed Marowak's stomach pat and sigh. "Oh, are you hungry?"
"Wak." He certainly was.
"Oh, don't worry. We can have a quick lunch break before we start." Fluttershy dug into her saddlebag, bringing out some Pokemon Food.
"Wait, what?" Scootaloo turned to face Fluttershy.
"Scor?"
"Just a quick one." Fluttershy placed the food down as Marowak dashed over.
"Marowak!" The Bone Keeper Pokemon's eyes lit up after witnessing the attractive food in a bowl. He quickly put the bone down before raising his arms, ready to chow down.
"Dig in."
"Maro!" Marowak then started eating the Pokemon food in front of him without hesitation, slowly filling his stomach. Fluttershy also laid out some Pokemon food for everyone else.
"When we battle, it needs to be on a full stomach. Right?" Fluttershy smiled.
"Audino!"
"Chiko!"
"Scorbunny..." Scorbunny sighed as he went over to the Pokemon food. He himself was feeling hungry but he really wanted to start this battle. Scootaloo's Ponyta didn't seem to mind as he went over for some food as well.
The Island Trial for Fluttershy and Scootaloo might take a little bit of time to really start.
High above the skies of Alola.
Twilight and Pinkie Pie were currently still heading towards other locations in Alola. They haven't yet found a place to stop yet. They were both aiming for the Psychium Z. Twilight was using the Ride Pokemon Charizard and Pinkie was just using Mew who had transformed into a Garchomp.
"That city up ahead." Twilight pointed her hoof at the nearest city, which was the Seafolk Village. Just north from there. "We might find the Psychium Z there."
"Okie Dokie! Let's go!" Pinkie Pie raised her hooves, flailing them about freely while riding on Mew.
"Gar!" Mew cheered with her. But, before the New Species Pokemon, disguised as a Garchomp could go any further, a faint Psychic pulse passed through him and him alone. "Gar?"
This pulse called out to him. Almost as if it was talking to him. Mew's head turned to the direction of where the Psychic pulse came from. Just east from Alola. And because of this, Mew's direction changed as he suddenly flew to the east instead of the north.
"Hm?" Pinkie looked down at Mew. "Oh, uh...Guess we're going somewhere else then. See ya soon, Twilight! Eve!" The earth pony waved goodbye to the alicorn and her Espeon.
"Uh...See you soon." Twilight waved back.
"Espeon."
Charizard advanced onwards to the north while Mew changed to the east. Both would reach their destinations but things were a bit different for Mew. This Psychic pulse felt new yet familiar to the New Species Pokemon, calling to him as Mew's curious mind and nature couldn't resist it at all.
Using Garchomp's amazing speed, Mew boosted through the air, moving through the clouds as Pinkie Pie tried eating them to see if they tasted like cotton candy. But all she got was the water vapour from it.
"Nope. Just water." Pinkie felt disappointed after finding out the truth of clouds. They unfortunately weren't made out of cotton candy. "Um...Where are we even headed, Mew?"
"Gar!" Mew nudged his head forward, showing the destination that he felt the Psychic call. After passing through some more clouds, he spotted the location at last. A single island that had the appearance of a wilderness. There seemed to be a pathway on this island that led somewhere else.
Mew got in close as he slowly descended to the grounds of this island before transforming himself back into a Mew as Pinkie Pie hopped off.
"Mew-Mew!"
"Oh...Wait, where are we?" Pinkie scratched her mane.
"Mew..." Mew looked around at this wilderness, seeing if he could spot where the Psychic call was coming from. He tried listening in on it by closing his eyes while Pinkie Pie was just confused.
"Uh...Mew?"
"Mew..." Mew then felt another Psychic call. This time it was clear than the rest. Mew could tell what it sounded like. To his ears, it sounded like another Mew, or rather, multiple Mew's were calling for him. "Mew!" Finding out where the call was coming from the New Species Pokemon then transformed into Excadrill suddenly.
"Huh? Excadrill?"
"Exca!" Mew raised his claws before starting to dig into the ground. Granted, since he didn't have the full capabilities of an Excadrill, his digging skills were subpar at best.
"Wait! What's going on, Mew? Do you know where the Psychium Z is? I'm so confused right now..." Pinkie Pie lowered her head. "I wish Fluttershy were here right now..."
Wela Volcano Park. The very top.
Speaking of Fluttershy and her whereabouts, just now, Marowak had just finished the Pokemon Food, feeling full and satisfied as he patted his belly. The other Pokemon felt refreshed as well.
"Maro..."
"That was a wonderful lunch, wasn't it?" Fluttershy asked.
"Marowak."
"Now can we start the trial?" Scootaloo sighed along with Scorbunny.
"Scorbunny..."
"Wak...Maro." Marowak sat up, grabbing his bone as he knew he had kept them waiting long enough now. He could most certainly start the trial.
"Yes. Yes, we can." Fluttershy translated.
"Oh, finally!"
"Scor!"
With Marowak fully refreshed and rested, they could have the right amount of strength to challenge the two ponies and their Pokemon to see if they are worthy. Time still remains in the less. The 2 hours have now become 1 Hour as everypony searches for the Z-Crystals of their choice or practices posing as the journey continues.
