//------------------------------// // Telling Sunset // Story: Winter & Dagi // by Sparkling blaze //------------------------------// Sunset's POV Has it really been three months already? It doesn't feel like it, so much has happened. I've lost so many people this year I just don't know what to do. Rebecca keeps getting worse. Tifany blames Snow for everything. Adagio is slowly losing it. But do you know the worst thing of all?Things feel like they are getting back to normal. I sigh,as I hear my cellphone ring,I pick it up it's Dash. "Hey Dash, everything alright?" "Sunset,I really think you should go check on Adagio,I've just met her on the park, and she looks like she just given up.Tried to give the kids to me on the first opportunity she saw." "She's had a lot going on, but I'm sure..." "No! You didn't listen to me when I told you about Aria." "I had no way of.." "Then when Sonata acted the way she did. You told me she was just upset about her sister." "Dash you...you couldn't have helped them." "But we can help her. I can't lose someone else."After a short pause she continued."And I know you can't either, you think I didn't noticed how in this three months you only ever work, you rarely see me and the girls anymore,or your nieces for that matter,so go check on Adagio and maybe she and you also can talk and help each other." After that Dash only hung up on me. I let out a sigh. I'll say one thing about Dash, she may not always tell you what you want to hear. But she'll always tell you what you need to hear. She's right I just don't know what I can do. But maybe Dagi might be able to help. I called her. No response,I called her again,no response, after the third time I simply decided to go over to her home. As soon as arrived there,I could hear Tifany and Snow yelling at each other from the outsider,I knocked, and Adagio opened the door. When I saw Adagio I realized how bad she was. "Most people would have taken the hint." She told me. "I'm not most people." I tell her. "Yeah you're...." She started. "Just like him?" I finished. "Are you really surprised?" "Not really..just what do you want?" "What do you think I want? I want to help you." "Help me? How?" She reached out for a bottle of whisky. Before she could get it I took it away from her. "First of all I think you need to cut back on this." "But I..." "You tell me you need it I'll break every bottle in this house." "You can't." "Just watch me." Before me and her could exchange anymore words the girls came up to the door. "Aunt Sunset!"The girls were being clearly taken care of,despite of how Adagio was,but they still had their pajamas on despite being 2 in the afternoon, and their hair was messy. "Hey girls, what about me and your mom take you to your aunt Dashie for a little?" "But I don't want Snow to go."Said Tifany. "Don't talk that way about your sister."I said,I then took a look at Snow, and I could tell something was off about her.Despite my insticts telling me to get her to the hospital so I could examine her right this moment,if I didn't talk to Adagio and solved this I know it wouldn't be worth it. I looked at Adagio and said: "Our chat isn't over yet." "I want to see aunt Dashie too. "Snow said. Adagio just sighed knowing what was coming. "Girls go get ready." Then she turned back to me."I'll be here when you get back." "You should come with us. It'll do you good." I told her." "Yeah mom, come with us." Tifany told her. "No." She told us. "I can't face her. You don't realize how alike those two are. But there is one big difference." "What's that?" I asked. "Aria wouldn't have called you. She would have came herself. And there would be a lot more yelling." The girls got ready. "I'll be back soon Dagi." Then we left. I took the girls to Dash's house. "Where is she?"She asked. "Said she couldn't face you cause you're too much like Aria.I brought the girls,so when I went back I could talk to her alone."I said still keeping an eye on Snow."Dash,Adagio must have not noticed but Snow is a bit off can you keep an eye on her?" "I'll keep an eye on her." Dash told me. "I just wish I could get through to Adagio." "Don't worry I will." I tell her. "This isn't going to be easy." I turn to Tifany and Snow. "Be good for your aunt Dashie, I'll be back soon. " I then go back to Adagio's I'm not looking forward to this but this is something I need to do. I'm surprised she lets me in when I get there. "So." She starts. "What is it you want?" "I already told you." "Well I'm not gonna stop and you aren't either are you Sunset?"Oh no she catched on to me. "What do you mean?" "Oh please, don't pretend to be dumb."She said while pouring a glass of wine."There's only one reason Dash would have to call you and you didn't come earlier, when you are literally my sister-in-law." "I...I mean I would have." "When was the last time you took your heart meds?" "I... I don't see what that has to do with anything." She took a drink if her wine. "The only difference between the two of us is I'm not hiding the fact I've given up." "And Dash could tell...." "Told you she was like Aria. They don't like to show their emotions but makes it easy for them to read other people." She then poured another cup,and said: "Besides you're working non-stop,so as I said I'm not gonna stop, and I know you aren't either. So don't even try to tell me to stop I'm not gonna listen to someone who is doing the same thing I do." "But you have your daughters." "And they'll be taken care of by you and the girls." "But.. but... how can you just do this to us?" "The same way you can. They love you just as much." I sighed. "What do I have to do to get you to stop?" "What makes you think I will?" I sighed...and then my phone rang,it was Dash. "Everyth-" "Sunset, you and Adagio have to come to the hospital now,Snow is doing really bad." "We're on our way." I stood up. "Let's go." I told Adagio. "Go where?" She asked me more confused then anything. "Something's wrong with Snow." I told her already walking to the door. I don't know how but Adagio somehow beat me out the door. "We're using my car." She told me. I don't trust you to take me home if we use yours." "Fine whatever it doesn't matter." I told her while getting in her car. "Besides you drive too slow." We pulled out of the driveway and stop signs, stop lights, and speed limits lost all meaning as we drove to the hospital. And really soon we arrived.
