//------------------------------// // Dazzling Fans // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Virbank City. Pokestar Studios. Afternoon. "Hurry! It's almost starting!" Sonata cried out as she aggressively shook her hoof, pointing it at a cinema room where a movie was about to show today. Today, the Dazzlings had decided to venture out into the Pokemon World and enjoy what it has to offer. One of those options involved the famous Pokestar Studios where movies can either be made or experienced. Or both. The Dazzlings chose to experience. "This is gonna be great!" Sonata cried out. "We're coming," Aria replied. "This had better be worth it," Adagio said. "This whole movie thing." "It totally is!" Sonata exclaimed. "Trust me. You're going to love this! Getting to watch something really fun for a long time! And we can eat whatever we want! How great does that sound?!" "Did you have to grab so much food though?" Aria narrowed her eyes at the plethora of food that Sonata and her Pokemon were carrying. "Well, yeah. If it's long, we need to have the stuff to keep our stomach occupied, obviously. I know you wanted some of these Magmar Nachos, Aria." She dashed over to her older sister, nudging her with the spicy-hot Magmar Nachos. "Pass." Aria pushed Sonata away. "But I do kinda want that toffee-flavoured popcorn." She then grabbed the popcorn out of Sonata's hold as they entered the screening room. "Ya know, after this, we should totally make our own movie," Sonata recommended. "Our own?" Adagio turned to her younger sister. "Oh, yeah. I mean, we didn't get the chance to do it back during the Pokemon Festival, but now seems like a good time to try it. Pokestar Studios lets us watch and make our own movies. How great is that?!" "Hm. That's pretty impressive. Kinda looking forward to it." Aria smiled, already thinking of what making their own movie would be like. "What about you, Adagio?" "Hmph. We'll see." Adagio scoffed. "Let's just get this movie watch thing over first, alright." "Okay!" Sonata sat down as she got comfortable in the human-sized seats. One of the many perks of being a pony in the Pokemon World is that everything is comfy due to the size of humans as compared to ponies who are smaller in general. And it works for the smaller Pokemon as well. The sisters and their Pokemon sat down with other movie-goers showing up as they were ready to witness their first-ever movie. They didn't know what to expect for their first time here. Sonata was excited, Aria was interested and Adagio was just coming along for her sister's sake. But, right next to Adagio, a little filly came into the room, holding her own objects like Sonata. More specifically, instead of snacks, she was holding what seemed to be dolls and action figures of certain individuals. One of which being Ash and Pikachu. Made in an Equestrian doll factory. A perfect contrast to the Mane 6 dolls made by the people in Castelia. However, aside from Ash and Pikachu, another doll was one of Adagio herself. Huge mane and everything. Someone in Equestria had taken the time to make a doll of Adagio and it was for one reason. The Pokemon Talent Show was the reason. Ever since they won second place, the Dazzlings had made a bit of a name for themselves. And after a performance like that, it would make sense that they would have some fans. When the little unicorn sat down next to Adagio's seat, she immediately noticed the sudden resemblance between the doll and the actual pony-siren hybrid as her eyes flared. "Ooh..." The unicorn filly gawked while looking at Adagio. "Hm?" Adagio's attention had been grabbed by the little pony as she looked at her. "What?" "Ah..." The unicorn looked at the doll then back at Adagio a few times before feeling a sudden rush of fan energy. "You're Adagio Dazzle!" "Uh...Y-Yes. That's me." Adagio stuttered. "Wow! I'm your biggest fan!" "You are?" "Mhm!" She nodded aggressively. "Look! See!" The unicorn then showed Adagio her doll, which certainly took Adagio by surprise. "Wh-" Adagio froze after witnessing her doll for the first time. Despite it being something so small and average, it was unlike anything she had ever seen before. "This exists?" "C-Can you sing that song again? Um...uh it was called...Type Wild! You looked so pretty when singing it!" "Hmph," Adagio smirked while flipping her mane. "Well, I was singing with such beauty. It's only natural you'd fall for it." "So what? We weren't singing with beauty?" Aria looked at Adagio with disappointed eyes. "Oh, I sure did! I really liked you and your sister's performance! Can I listen to Type Wild again?" "Right now?" Aria asked. "We're kinda getting ready to watch a movie now. First one too. Maybe later kid." "Yeah. Besides. We're probably gonna be making our own movies here in Pokestar Studios after we finishing watching this one." said Sonata. "So uh..sorry." "Oh! Can I make movies with you! The filly flailed her hooves around. "It'd be great if I got to make movies with the Dazzlings!" "Ah...Wh-Where are your parents, kid?" Adagio squinted her serpent-like eyes. "They're exploring the rest of Virbank City. My family's on vacation. They gave me some neat tickets to come and watch this movie. Even some of my friends came along and are super big fans of yours!" "Friends?" The Dazzlings each spoke. The moment the filly mentioned her friends, they came bolting in, sitting next to the little unicorn. All of which were also fans of the Dazzlings ever since that one instance in the Pokemon Talent Show. "Oh. Looks like we're pretty popular, aren't we?" Sonata nudged. "So can we? Please?" The filly had a wide smile along with her friends, pleading for a chance to spend some time with their fans. "What do you think?" Aria questioned Adagio. "We're not used to having...fans. Especially ones that are kids." "They're not under our spell. I didn't really expect anything genuine towards our songs." Adagio replied while looking at the foals. "So. You're really fans of us, are you?" "Uh-huh!" They all nodded. "Hmph. Alright. You can join us. But, you're just going to watch and I expect you all not to be bothers, understood?" Adagio requested. "Okay!" They exclaimed as someone in the room hushed them since the movie was just starting. All those commercials had come to an end. "I'd better not regret this." Adagio sighed, not knowing what she could be getting herself into. Having someone adore her without being under her spell was new, that's for sure. 2 hours later. Approximately 2 hours had passed. That was the length of the movie. Throughout the entire thing, Adagio and her sisters had a surprisingly good time. Mainly Adagio, who wasn't expecting to enjoy this so much. Her eyes had been glued to the screen as she was taken aback by how enjoyable the whole thing was. And the same goes for the foals although some of them fell asleep. "That was amazing..." Adagio's jaw dropped. "Right?!" Sonata squeed. "It was totally worth choosing this movie to watch! Told ya you'd enjoy it." "That was pretty neat." Aria nodded with a smile. "Can't believe it really ended that way though." "So, whaddya say? We make our own at Pokestar?" Sonata nudged Adagio. "Absolutely!" Adagio bellowed, blowing her younger sister back with the force of her voice alone. "I feel we can do one better than what we've just seen!" "Nice." Sonata was glad that they could get the opportunity to make their own movie as she slumped over after being blown back. "Let's get a move on." Adagio jumped off the seat. "Where do we go to make one of those?" "I know the way." Sonata rolled off the seat. "Follow yours truly." The decision had been made. Adagio had already been convinced after witnessing that film. And it only took the first 15 minutes for her to be hooked. As the Dazzlings made their way out of the screening room, the foals ended up following the Dazzlings. The main filly unicorn who showed up here first stayed close to Adagio over everyone else. She really did seem to be her biggest fan since she was the only one holding her doll. They all followed Sonata, who led them to where they needed to be. The Dressing Room. There, they could choose from an assortment of props and clothing to wear depending on what kind of movie they wished to make. Adagio was the first to enter the room due to how eager she was. Despite everything that Adagio has going for her, she does have an interest in anything that involves beauty. She opened the door with force, locking her eyes onto the first thing she could find. The clothing options, of course. "Alright." Adagio entered the room. "Let's get this thing started." "Way ahead of you!" Sonata slid past Adagio. "Hold on. Do we even know what kind of movie we're making?" Aria asked. "Totally. We're making a comedy movie!" Sonata exclaimed. "Absolutely not." Adagio quickly stopped her younger sister. "I say we make a fantasy movie. Nothing childish like...comedy." "Childish?!" Sonata pulled back after hearing that. "Hm. I was thinking of Horror." Aria dug into the prop box, pulling out a Banette mask and flashing it at the foals, making them scream in shock. "Something that'll really keep them on the edge of their seats." "Comedy still sounds better. For fun!" "I make the shots and I say that we're doing Fantasy. It's more mature and creative anyway." "Horror's mature too." The three sisters were now starting to clash against each other, each having their own idea for what movie they wanted to make. "Ooh..." Meanwhile, the fillies were too busy looking into the prop boxes here to notice the bickering of sisters. "Unfortunately for you two..." Adagio used her magic to hold Aria and Sonata up. "I have magic and can overrule you with any spell. So hah! We're doing Fantasy." "No fair!" Sonata pouted. "Ugh..." Aria groaned. "You'd better at least have a great idea for how this movie of yours is going to go?" "Hah! I already have it all thought out." Adagio tapped her head using her magic to bring over a nearby pen and paper as she started writing down her idea. Adagio then showed her sisters what exactly she had planned. From synopsis to how it would all seemingly occur. And from one look, it was already easy to see what kind of story Adagio would make. "Hm," Aria observed with her eyes. "This looks kinda familiar." "Yeah..." Sonata slowly nodded. "Is this a revenge story?" "Revenge story?" Adagio pulled the paper away. "Hmph!" "Adagio. It's been like what? A year or two ever since the Battle of the Bands. Give it a rest already." Aria said. "I hold long grudges, okay? Besides. I need some way to let out all that leftover anger." "Ya know, if you make that movie, everyone's gonna put it together," Sonata smirked. "What do you mean put it together?" Adagio questioned. "Your uh...whole attack on Castelia City that one time got pretty popular. I mean, everyone kinda knows you're not a super big fan of Twilight and the others." Sonata rolled around while being held up Adagio's magic. "And if your name shows up on those credits well..." "Hmm..." Adagio thought for a second. "Can't make it too obvious. Right." "Well. That wasn't really what I was thinking." Sonata giggled. "But how are we sure it didn't just stay in Caste-" Aria was about to finish her sentence before Sonata quickly hushed her via hoof in the mouth. "Alright!" Adagio placed her sisters down. "I'll just make some few changes here and there and mask it. Easy." "We're gonna help fix it up, right?" Aria went over. "Are you saying that you can do better than me?" "No. Maybe." Aria let out a small smirk. "But anyway, it'd be better if we helped with your story. If you're really going through with this you can't do it alone. These movie things are made by a team, right?" Yeah!" Sonata slid over. "We probably can't do our Comedy or Horror, but we can add our own elements in it, huh?" "Hm." Adagio looked at her script before concluding. "Alright. I'm new to this whole thing anyway. Let's get to work. Kids." "Yeah?" The foals said as they were all wearing props and clothing over them. "I want you to keep it down. We don't need any distractions." "Oh! Can we help out?" A filly asked. "It'd be even greater if we had more help, Adagio," Aria suggested. "Having them join in would be like having a full team on a movie." "They're children. The best ideas they probably have are rainbows and silly dancing." Adagio shook her head. "They're going to watch and no more." "Okay. But if things get hairy, we'll ask for their help." Sonata grinned as she and her sisters were ready to get to work and make that movie. The Dazzlings started by choosing what to wear. Due to the crossing over of both worlds and Rarity having a role here, Pokestar Studios were able to add clothing that fit ponies now instead of just humans and Pokemon. In actuality, all they did was select clothing that were originally made for Rapidash, Ponyta, Zebstrika and other equine Pokemon and just made some adjustments here and there. While dressing up and selecting the props to use, the script and synopsis of Adagio's movie were changing. While the theme was still fantasy, it seemed like they wouldn't be fully following the route of the Battle of the Bands from a while ago. Mostly because they would need more cast members to make that happen but Adagio wasn't willing to let the foals join in to fill up space. Speaking of which, the main filly, the one who had those dolls in her possession, stayed close to Adagio like a moth to a flame. She watched as the siren started dressing her Kricketot up while also looking at herself in the mirror. "Are you going to keep on looking at me for the whole day?" Adagio asked. "Sorry. I'm just really excited." The filly replied. "Hm." Adagio finished dressing up Kricketot. "You still gonna ask me to sing that Type WIld song." "Uh-huh. But if you have any more Pokemon songs, that'd be great! Can you sing a song about uh...Flying-Types? Oh, and are you gonna be at the next Pokemon Talent Show." "So many questions..." Adagio sighed. "Is this what it's like to have fans?" "Well, yeah. You didn't have any before?" "No. Never once. Well..." Adagio thought about how she had brainwashed many victims before to have them adore them. "Not in the usual way." "Then that's even better! That makes me your first fan ever! And everyone else." "I guess so." Adagio grabbed a nearby prop. "Didn't think I'd have one. Especially not one that's so loud." "I can start a Fanclub for you if you want." "Fanclub?" "Yep! It'll be great! It'll make you even more popular than ever!" "Popular you say?" "And I'll run the whole thing. The Cutie Mark Crusaders already have an Ash and Rainbow Dash Fanclub out there. So we wanna do the same thing for you." "You're pretty kind for doing this for someone you've just seen and met kid." Adagio narrowed her eyes. "Hope you don't do this to everyone you see." "I just really like your music. Um, sorry if I'm being a bother. I know you told me and everypony else not to be and..." "It's fine." Adagio halted her. "To be honest, it's kinda nice having a fan that isn't uh...under control." "Under control?" "Nevermind that. What's your name anyway?" "Tickled Pink! But everyone calls me Tickled!" She gave her name out. "Leave the Dazzling Fanclub to me!" "Your name matches your energy..." Adagio said silently. "Alright, Tickled. I'll be looking forward to your Fanclub of me and my sisters. Wherever it may be." "Adagio!" Sonata cried out. "Uh, we got a problem. We can't make the dragon thing work!" "What? Why not?" Adagio asked. "Well uh...w-we don't have a Dragon Pokemon with us. I mean I don't own a Dragon-Type and Aria doesn't either. And none of these props are gonna work out." Sonata held up a Tyranitar head and some Pidgeotto wings. "Seriously? That's a problem..." Adagio growled. "It won't." Aria suddenly joined in. "There's an easy solution to that." "Like what?" Sonata questioned. "This place has Rental Pokemon. Just in case." Aria pointed her hoof over at a container that had Poke Balls in it. Each belonging to Pokestar Studios and can be opened by any filmmaker who wishes to improve their movie. It had a crank on it that could be pulled to make a Poke Ball come out with the Pokemon emerging automatically. "Aria spun the crank around as a Poke Ball came out of it, immediately sending out a Phanpy." "Phanpy! Phan!" "Oh. Okay!" Sonata went over to the container, looking over at the selection of Poke Balls. "Uh...let's see...Which one has a Dragon-Type in it?" "No clue." Aria shook her head. "Hm...Oh well! I'll just release them all at once!" Sonata aggressively spun the crank. "Wait, Sonata! Don't!" Both Adagio and Aria cried out but it was too late. With how fast she spun it, all the Poke Balls came flying out of the container at high speeds. The Poke Balls each bombarded Sonata and everyone in this room. But worse, the moment they came flying out, the Pokemon were all released. Like a flash-freeze of ice, many Pokemon emerged, landing on the ponies as the entire dressing room had been filled up with Pokemon of all kinds. But, funny enough, not a single Dragon-Type Pokemon could be found within the sea of Pokemon. "Hehehe...Guess there aren't any Dragon-Type Pokemon here." Sonata said with a sheepish grin while having a Galvantula on her. "Mrrrgh...!" Adagio growled, narrowing her eyes at her younger sister. She then used her magic to separate everyone from the Pokemon. "Forget about the Dragon. We'll try something else like..." "I can help with the Dragon." Tickled pink stood on top of a Typhlosion. "You can?" Adagio looked at Tickled. "Come out, Ditto!" She sent out one of her Pokemon which turned out to be a Ditto. "Ditto!" "Ditto can turn into any Pokemon no problem. But uh...the face isn't convincing." "Show me." Adagio requested. "Ditto. Transform into um..." Tickled quickly took out her Pokedex, showing Ditto an image of a Dragon-Type. "This Garchomp here!" "To..." Ditto looked at the image of Garchomp shown before it. It knew what it needed to do. "Ditto!" Sometimes, Ditto doesn't need to be next to a Pokemon to transform into it. An image is enough since it can improvise. The Transform Pokemon then used the only move it was capable of to manipulate its body. Adagio and the others stepped back as they watched the Normal-Type's blob-like body shifting as all of its cells were being rearranged. By freely recombining its own cellular structure, Ditto had become a Garchomp. Although there was something off. This Garchomp didn't have its usual intimidating eyes. Since this was still a Ditto, it had beady eyes and a mouth that didn't even possess Garchomp's sharp teeth. Essentially, it was a Garchomp with a poker face. No sharp teeth and no ferocious eyes. But it was the best that Ditto could do. "Ta-da!" Tickled showed off her partner's transformation. "A Dragon Pokemon for your film!" "Ditto!" "Uh..." Adagio's eye twitched when looking at Garchomp. It wasn't what she was expecting at all. Ferocious was not the first thing that came to mind when witnessing it. The only thing fierce about it was the build and size. But, they had to make the movie either way. "Fine. We'll use that. See if you can find some prop eyes and teeth or whatever." "Woohoo! So does this mean we can help with the movie?!" Tickled asked. "Sure." Adagio shrugged. "You're good in my book kid and that Ditto of yours can be useful." "Success!" Tickled gave a high-hoof to her Ditto. "Ditto!" "We can help too!" One of the foals said. "Yeah, we've got loads of Pokemon ourselves!" "Can we help?" "Please?" "Pretty please!" "They sound pretty eager, Adagio," Aria said. "You know how kids can get. If we don't agree to their terms-" "They'll never stop." Adagio finished Aria's sentence. "Alright, fine whatever. Let them help out. We'll see what they can do." "You won't be disappointed!" Tickled grinned along with her friends. "We'll make the best movie ever!" Now there were better odds for this short film to be a success. A larger crew means a possible better outcome. Although, much like Adagio and her sisters, these foals have never made a movie in their entire life before. So this was bound to be something. They spent their time in the Dressing Room for a while, finally getting the recommended props and clothing that they needed. The Dazzlings and their Pokemon resembled a certain Mane 6 group. Albeit a more knock-off version of them. But, with the help of Tickled and her friends, they were able to add more into the designs with extra effort instead of making it appear lazy. Afterwards, it was off to the Film Room, where all the real magic happens. There, they would have to practice their acting and follow the script of the synopsis which had been altered. It had greatly strayed away from the Battle of the Bands and into something else. It still had a personal grudge feeling to it nevertheless. One of the fillies ended up being in charge of the camera. Although, she's never worked a film camera before, so she didn't really know what she was doing. What's worse, the camera wasn't even recording at the moment. But, her Pokemon quickly helped her sort that out. While Aria was practising her lines, her Popplio added some singing into it to try and give it some flair. But, Popplio's singing was so attractive that the other Pokemon joined in, interrupting Aria's part. Originally, she was irritated by this, but Aria found them trying to sing along fairly adorable so she was fine with it. Then, when it came time to do some dynamic movements, Adagio would use her magic for that, not wanting to take any risks of harming her sisters. Tickled gave some assistance by using her magic as well as one of the fillies played around with the special effects. It looked like a chaotic mess as Aria had to be the one to tone the special effects down so it doesn't look like random things are happening on screen. They filmed for at least 3 hours. Enough to take up the rest of the day as the sun was slowly setting, giving off a beautiful orange glow on the horizon. The Dazzlings and their fans were really getting into this filmmaking business and showing so much passion that they spent that much time at Pokestar Studios. It is an addicting place to be at, after all. Afterwards, they finished filming as they sat together at the Movie Theater, ready to see how their film would play out after adding some finishing touches. Thanks to the efforts of the young ones, they made a title card out of crayons and cards. It was a bit endearing to the eyes. After that, the movie could begin as they all began watching it. Throughout it all, Adagio watched her own story play out with its own mood. Originally, something that started as a grudge story, shifted over time. Because of her sisters and her fans, the animosity of this film had been overshadowed and essentially taken away. However, the look of the Mane 6 plus Sunset was still there. For it being a Fantasy-based movie, it certainly followed all the tropes that could be found in a Fantasy movie. But, this was their first time making a movie, so it was to be expected. A Dragon, a very bombastic-looking castle and saturated colours that can burn the eyes among other things. Despite it being the first move, they had a good time watching it. Mainly the fillies. Aria and Sonata nodded at their parts while Adagio took some time to observe what she and those around her had made. All of this wouldn't have been possible on her own. Definitely not. But, having those who share her goals and support her through them is what brought this movie out. And because of that, Adagio could smile. But, this smile was different from her other smiles in the past. For the first time, Adagio's smile not only involved the effect of her sisters but of ponies too. And as always, a moment such as this could only allow her body to generate that mysterious golden light that she possesses. This time, the light made everyone in the room feel comfortable and at ease as they all sat through the movie, enjoying it together as a family and even friends. 1 hour later. The movie had ended and the sun was practically gone by this point. "Alright. That's that. It was worth it after all. Adagio got off the seat. "Not a bad suggestion Sonata." "See? What'd I tell you?" Sonata crossed her hooves while having a cocky smile. "So. Think we're coming back here for more next time? Aria asked. "Oh, most certainly. We can do better than our first film without a doubt. And this time, we'll have more to offer." Adagio replied. "And as for you all... "Hm? The fans looked at their idols. "Thanks for the help. If you want to help us out with another movie, you can always come by and so." Adagio accepted them. Hearing that only made the fans ecstatic and hopeful for what's to come in the future as they jumped around. "Thank you so much, Adagio! You can come by to our Fanclub some time too! If you want." Tickled exclaimed. "Sure, why not? W-Where is it anyway?" "Just over at Manehattan. It's a pretty colourful building. You can't miss it!" The unicorn giggled. "Got it. Alright, you two. Let's head back home. And you kids should probably head home as well. A Bit too late right now." Adagio ordered as the foals started to leave to return to their parents. It could be past their bedtime by this point. "So. What are we gonna tomorrow?" Aria asked, walking up to her big sister. "Who knows? Adagio shrugged. "But, now that I see that this world has so much to offer...I think we're going to have as much fun as we can. You can agree with me on that, can you?" "Sure can." The two younger sisters agreed. A nice moment of family bonding along with the sudden surprise of their own adoring fans. Clearly, the Dazzlings have so much more to look forward to on the passing days from both worlds as the journey continues. Chapter 408 End.
