Chapter 8

Rarity and Rainbow arrived in Ponyville with their new daughter, and were welcomed by their friends and of course a party hosted by Pinkie.

"Hello girls!" exclaimed Twilight who was in the front of the pack heading towards the train station.

"Oh hello Twilight, girls." suddenly Pinkie Pie burst out of the crowd bouncing around as bubbly as ever shouting,

"Ohhhh where is he...or she...it?" she asked with a questioning face.

"Well everypony this is our daughter Silverheart." said Rarity with an awkward smile as she stepped to the side to reveal the young filly who was hiding behind her. She was smaller than sweetie bell with a light gray coat and a black and gray streaked mane. She squealed when Twilight smiled and bent down to say hello.

"She's a little shy I guess Twilight sorry about that, If it's okay with everypony we've all had a long trip and we'd be glad if we just go home and get some alone time with our new daughter."

"Oh I don't mind," said Twilight. Pinkie on the other hand visibly deflated but agreed and after a few more greetings they were on their way home. They arrived after about ten minutes of walking and walked into their home.

"Well here we are Silverheart you new home." on the train ride home they had discovered that she did in fact not only speak germane but equaine as well.

The little filly rather than say anything just began running around happily getting accustomed to the house. Rarity and Rainbow looked at each other and smiled lovingly and walked into the kitchen to get some food ready for them all. It was a quite evening for the four for them Sweetie Belle having come back from her Scootaloo's house to see her niece. After they all ate dinner they went upstairs to get the guest bedroom ready for their filly while they were in the midst of that there came a knock from the door and Rarity went to answer. As she approached the door the knocking became more rapid and forceful.

"Just a minute." then she reached the door pulled it open and was greeted by her parents.

"M-mother.....F-father but you.....you were...and the train, how are you....." and with that she slipped to the ground out cold.

She awoke and opened her eyes and grimaced at the bright lights but she forced her eyes to stay open as she took in her surroundings. She was in her room and Rainbow was snoozing on the chair next to her bed.

"Rainbow!" She shouted when she saw her. Rainbow jumped up in a defensive stance and then she turned and gave Rarity a sour look.

"Well you could have just nudged me awake or something you didn't have to go and shout."

"Sorry dear it's just I thought I saw my parents at the door and I blacked out." when she said this Rainbow looked down and mumbled something under her breath.

"What is it?"

"Well you did see your parents....."

"What do you mean that's not possible." said Rarity as she began to panic. 'They can't be alive,' she thought, 'If they were they would have told me or Sweetie Belle or someone.'

"Well they told me their story while you were "asleep" for the night and they're still here they're spending time with Silverheart downstairs."

"Could you tell them to come up here please I don't feel well and I don't want to get up."

"Sure" she said as she exited the room.

'Well this is going to go well.... why wouldn't they tell me they were alive or anyone for that matter, and it's been over three years where have they been...and what if their still angry...' all these thoughts were running through her head as they walked in. None of them spoke as they all thought about what they had to say eventually Rarity's father spoke up.

"Rarity I know what you're thinking and you're right we were wrong about everything, it was wrong and we know that and we'll never be able to make this up to you but I intend to do everything in my power to get things as close as possible to what they used to be."

Rarity just lay there digesting what she just heard so her mother took a chance to speak,

"Before you judge us at least listen to our story." Rarity simply nodded and listened to her parents story. They explained their anger at their daughter and how they had survived the crash and were saved by a small zebra tribe that had saw what happened and all their experiences there then of long struggle through the everfree forest and how long it had taken them just to get back to any real part of Equstria. It was a long tale best saved for another time (wink wink nudge nudge) and when they finished Rarity was more than just taken aback.

"Wow that was.....a different story," she said, "and I forgave you for that night a long time ago and how is your....being away for so long your fault? Your my parents and you wanted the best for me and back then you thought that's what you were doing but that's all in the past and you're here now and that's what matters right?"

After Rarity's speech tears were shed, bonds rebuilt and new ones made, and secrets revealed but after it was all over everyone was satisfied with their emotional day. But again there was a knock at the door and this time it was Rainbow's father. His name is Skyfall and his cutie mark is a very dark gray cloud with two streaks of lightning coming from it and his job was to regulate the lightning for the storms around Equstria. He has an all tan coat with a yellow mane.

"Rainbow! Where are you I need to meet my Granddaughter!"

"Dad!" shouted Rainbow as she ran up to him and pulled him into a tight embrace, "I thought you said you couldn't make it down here for another week."

"I got somepony else to take it for a while I needed to be here for my daughter." he smiled as he finished his sentence and then he realized that Rarity's parents were there and Rainbow quickly introduced them all.

"Well it's nice to finally meet you two Rainbow here tells me only great things about your daughter."

"It's nice to meet too."

"Well now that that's all out of the way where is our granddaughter?"

Rarity and Rainbow both looked around the room than at each other Rainbow sighed and said,

"That is a good question."
