//------------------------------// // Blind Date // Story: My Little PokΓ©mon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Canterlot. Afternoon. Celestia was currently on her lonesome while still taking care of Premium Polish at the same time. She had left the little unicorn in the hands of Passion and Arcanine as well as Philomena. The reason why Celestia was on her own was obviously for her royal duties. But she had finished most of them as of recently. Right now, she was alone for a different reason. Celestia had an ominous feeling. That same ominous feeling she felt last week when she was asleep. That night, she could sense a malevolent and dark presence that felt familiar to her. But also new at the same time. Of course, that presence belonged to Ghetsis, who had just recently received Dark Magic after invading one of the many universes with alternate Equestria's. She at first recognized it as Sombra's magic since he was the original wielder of it. But after Ghetsis destroyed Sombra and became the true embodiment of fear and evil, the feeling Celestia experienced was new and different. She had never felt magic like this before. But ever since that night, she hadn't been feeling it anymore. However, the Sun Princess was still on edge. She wasn't even aware that Ghetsis was the one currently wielding a new kind of Dark Magic. Celestia shuddered. To have some time alone, she went out to Canterlot Gardens for peace. When it's not the raging battlefield for two trainers and their Pokemon to go at it, it's the usual peaceful garden that everyone can relax at. She sat down on the bench, letting her mind be put at ease. "So much to focus on...Ghetsis. Empress Twilight. Skyblue Shine. This completely beats out what I had to deal with before our worlds crossed over." Celestia sighed as she slumped on the bench. "When this is all over...I wonder what's next?" She pondered about the future. If they manage to clear out all the major problems threatening their world and every other world. Celestia firmly believed that every alternate world that Ghetsis and Empress Twilight have conquered and ruined can be saved. Just like how there was a Pokemon for everything, she had hope that there might be a Pokemon out there that can solve these problems easily. Most likely a Legendary or a Mythical. But other than that, those fears were quickly swept away from the sight of the beautiful nature of Pokemon. Celestia's eyes could take in what the strange and wonderful creatures known as Pokemon can offer. From how the Bellossom dance in the radiant sunlight with the Cherrim hopping around. A flock of Staravia flew across the sky while a group of Oddish were riding on their backs. There was a large group of Bug-Type Pokemon arguing on which one of them was the best. From Caterpie, Wurmple, Ledyba, Wurmple, Wormadam, Sewaddle, Scatterebug, Grubbin and Blipbug. All of them were having a small squabble that wasn't really that destructive. A Snorlax could be seen eating piles of cakes and that immediately raised a red flag for Celestia as she narrowed her eyes, locking onto the massive piles of cake and the Sleeping Pokemon. "I-Is that my cake stash...?" Celestia uttered. "Sister!" Luna suddenly interrupted her, appearing in front of her older sister. "I have exciting news for you!" "Hm? You do? What is it?" "Have a look at this! For your little Cobalion situation." Luna held out a flier. "I've issued a Blind Date for you!" "Hah?" "I know you've been wanting to spend quality time with Cobalion, but have never gotten around to it. With problems obviously popping up constantly and Cobalion out with the Swords of Justice, saving everyone. Well, this is your chance. I've already set everything up for Cobalion to arrive at the blind date." "You did all of this by yourself?" "Mhm." Luna nodded. "Well, I did have some help with deciding where to host it. How does it sound, sister? This is a grand opportunity!" "Well..." Celestia took the flier. "It would be nice to spend time with Cobalion, certainly. But will this work out? I mean, I haven't exactly prepared myself for this." "There is absolutely no need to worry. I'll be there to support you as well. The flier should also be delivered to the location of the Swords of Justice by now. I've also disguised it as a Dinner Party. Ash and the others will be there to help." "You did this all for me, Luna?" Celestia sat up. "But of course. That's what sisters are for, right?" "I suppose so. Alright, I'll give it a try. I can't believe I get to go on a date with Cobalion. Eeeee!" Celestia got all giddy. "And if you're lucky, you might partake in what humans call...I believe it's handholding? At the Pokemon Festival, I heard that it means that love is imminent or something like that. I'm not so sure why they deem it so special and important. But read these for good measure." Luna gave Celestia some love guide books that she believed would work. "This will be a success for certain!" "Right! I can't wait!" Celestia smiled while holding the books, looking forward to tonight. With the Swords of Justice. They had received the flier, but they weren't fooled about the whole fake Dinner Party that Luna tried to pull. They were able to deduce it being a blind date after they had first gazed at it. "Ooh!" Keldeo gawked as he was looking at the flier. "What a lucky catch!" "What's so lucky about this?" Terrakion asked. "Isn't this meant for Cobalion?" "Looks like it." Virizion nodded as she went up to the flier. "This is what they call a Blind Date, right?" "Hm." Cobalion nodded, knowing why he was involved in this. "A chance to eat a ton of food? Nice!" Keldeo let out a cheesy grin. "Oh. I thought you would be going there for the Blind Date, Keldeo," said Virizion. "Hah!" Terrakion wheezed. "Keldeo?! Date?! You gotta be-" "But, maybe, by chance I'm sure you can find someone special there, Keldeo." Virizion put her hoof into Terrakion's mouth, keeping him quiet. "You can go along and join Cobalion since you're so interested. Is that alright with you, Cobalion?" "Fine by me. Let's get this over with as soon as possible. Come, Keldeo." Cobalion was already on his way. "Yes!" Manehattan Restaurant. Night. A gathering had been made since Luna disguised it as a Dinner Party. But the Swords of Justice didn't fall for it. Speaking of which, Celestia was all dressed up and sitting properly alongside her younger sister Luna while Keldeo was already snacking away, eating at all the food here. The third pony sitting next to Celestia and Luna ended up being Sunset Shimmer who was dragged into this. And Ash being Ash, couldn't resist the food despite him being ordered by Luna to keep it low. But he didn't keep it low. He and Pikachu were already eating alongside Keldeo like savages. "This is good stuff! It's even better knowing we can pay this off!" Ash said while devouring a salad. "You can say that again!" Keldeo nodded. "Pikachu!" "Oh, Ash..." Twilight facehoofed as she was beside Cadence who came along to help out for obvious reasons. "Not for one second you can stay put. Oh well. At least everything seems to be going swimmingly right about now." "Mhm." Cadence nodded. "Ash. Slow down, will you? You've managed to get something on your face." Luna pointed out as she used her hoof to gently come in contact with Ash's face. "Hm?!" Twilight's eyes shot up as she gazed at Ash and Luna. Her imagination was suddenly envisioning a scenario where Luna was emanating a romantic aura around Ash. Little does Twilight know, Luna already have her own affection for Ash as well. "W-W-What is going on over there?!" She thought to herself as her hooves pressed on the wall. She pressed on them so hard that cracks even formed. "Ah! Stop, Princess Twilight! You're gonna bring our restaurant down at this rate!" One of the employees cried out. "Oh, would you look at that?" Cadence observed. "So Luna feels the same way, does she? I'm learning new things every day, aren't I?" "Sylveon." "Wait? Princess Luna does?!" Twilight turned to face Cadence. "Clear as day." Cadence nodded. "I wish I was there...!" Twilight bit her teeth on the wall, gnawing away at it out of jealousy. All she had to do was standby and make sure everything goes according to plan. "It doesn't matter to me one bit who Ash falls in love with but...!" "You keep telling yourself that." Cadence chuckled as she patted Twilight on the head. "Did they really just come here to eat...?" Celestia said to herself while Ash and the others scarf down their food. But Cobalion was sitting peacefully. "Wasn't really what I was expecting..." Sunset chuckled nervously while watching the boys devour their meals like maniacs. "I still need to get used to coming back here." "I need to make sure that my sister is happy." Luna thought to herself. "But why exactly did Keldeo join us?" "Princess Celestia." Cobalion suddenly spoke which prompted Celestia to shoot up with her mane flaring. "You seem a bit tense and cold in that dress. Are you alright?" "F-Fine!" Celestia got all flustered. "No need to worry! I mean, you don't wear a suit yourself, Cobalion and I'm not sure you can get cold." "My Steel body is what protects me from the cold." Cobalion responded. "I can't say the same for Terrakion and Virizion." "But I'm A-Ok! Being a Water-Type rules!" Keldeo laughed with confidence. But all that laughing made him almost choke on a hayburger. "Gough!" "Drink up." Sunset used her magic to give Keldeo some water, freeing him from a potential choking accident. "Gah!" Keldeo gasped as he slammed his face on the table. "Thanks." "Besides. I could never wear clothing. It looks too flashy for my taste." Cobalion shook his head. "Especially those...I believe they're called suits?" "Oh yeah!" Ash ate an entire fruit salad bowl in one go. "Those things can get really tight, ya know!" "Pika-Pikachu!" "This doesn't look like it's working..." Cadence squinted her eyes. She then used her magic to communicate with Luna telepathically to give her advice. "Luna. We might have to try a different angle." "A different angle? Oh, I understand what you mean." Luna spoke back with her mind. "You do?" Cadence raised an eyebrow. "Of course. Perhaps, my sister just needs to be more assertive, much like how Cobalion is. And perhaps, food is most likely the way to his heart to really have him be invested. It certainly works for Ash, Pikachu and Keldeo." "Well, I think Ash, Pikachu and Keldeo are three different cases...don't you think?" Cadence laughed nervously. "But assertiveness and food aren't the worst ideas. Although, Cobalion is hard to read if I'm being honest." "I've read novels that have a situation like that. They always seem to work out." Twilight joined in with the conversation. "I thought you were an expert in all things love?" Luna questioned Cadence. "Well, yes but...Cobalion has a new kind of serious nature I've never come across before. This might take some time. We could be here until midnight honestly. But it's nothing I can't deduce. We should just let it happen naturally for now." "Understood. I'm counting on you Cadence." Luna nodded as she stopped talking to Cadence with telepathy. "Sister." "Hm?" Celestia turned to Luna. "Try being assertive and feed him some food. That might prove to be effective." "You think so?" Celestia shifted her eyes towards the Iron Will Pokemon. "I know so." Luna grinned. "We have to make this a swimming success." "Right. I'll try and-" As Celestia went to face Cobalion, she saw that the Iron Will Pokemon had already done it for her by pushing a plate of food to Celestia. "Here. You haven't eaten yet, Princess." Cobalion offered the food. "Ah!" Celestia froze along with Luna while Cadence let out a giant smile. "Oh, thank you." Celestia took the food while thinking to her self. "He beat me to it. I thought I would be the one to offer him some food but..." "It's supposed to be the other way around! Are those novels I've read useless?" Twilight screeched in her mind. "A real professional!" Cadence squeed. "So, Keldeo. I hear you worked hard to become a Sword of Justice. That's what they're known as right?" "Sure did!" Keldeo smiled. "You won't believe the adventure it took for me to get there! Ash and Pikachu remember a lot of it!" "Sure do!" Ash gave a thumbs up along with Pikachu. "Pika!" "Ooh. Tell me how it went?" Sunset leaned in. "Got it! I'll break the whole thing down." Keldeo offered to tell the story, giving Sunset something to enjoy in the meanwhile. "Hm?" Cobalion's sharp eye was suddenly on high alert as he turned around. By rotating his head, he spotted Twilight and Cadence peeking from the door, causing the two alicorns to yelp and hide. "Eek!" They both hid from Cobalion. "Princess Twilight and Princess Cadence seem to be acting a bit off." Cobalion said. "Oh! Well...haha..." Celestia's flustered emotion was only increasing even further as Luna was starting to sweat a bit. "Did they by chance tag along because they were worried?" "W-Worried? Not quite!" Celestia scrunched her face. "Well...I guess you're not 100% wrong, actually. They have their reasons to be worried about this. They're just here to support me after all. And Luna of course. She was the one who planned this from the start." "Ah!" Luna shot up from hearing that. "I'm afraid I might end up relying on them too much for this one specific event, honestly." "That's fine." Cobalion adjusted his sitting. "Relying on others is not inherently a bad thing. Some of the strongest forces out there involve the unity of fellow teammates and friends." "I can agree on that." Celestia nodded. "Hm..." Cobalion shifted his eyes to the nearby meal. "That does seem a bit delicious actually." "Oh? Then in that case..." Celestia stood up as she was about to try the feeding tactic on Cobalion. But, at the same time, Cobalion himself stood up to personally grab the food himself. And in unison, both of them reached for the plate as their hooves connected. "OH!" Twilight and Cadence's eyes flared. "AH!" Luna's tongue became crumpled and sharp as her jaw dropped with excitement. Apparently, direct contact with hooves is enough to spark this large of a reaction. "Hm?" Ash, Pikachu, Keldeo and Sunset weren't sure as to why there was such a huge reaction all of a sudden. "Pika?" "Hah...Hah...!" Celestia pulled her hoof back, looking at and trembling. "Our hooves nonchalantly touched...Is this what the humans called handholding? Hoofholding probably? Isn't that a sign of..." She then started recalling what Luna told her earlier this morning. "And if you're lucky, you might partake in what humans call...I believe it's handholding? At the Pokemon Festival, I heard that it means that love is imminent or something like that." "Uh...Princess Celestia?" Sunset looked up at her teacher, wondering why she was trembling so much. "Are you okay?" "π˜Όπ™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–!" Full of unbridled energy and a flustered face, Celestia sat up from her seat as she immediately started galloping away at ludicrous speeds while being embarrassed. She was so embarrassed and flustered that she ended up jumping out of the window of the restaurant, breaking the glass in the process. Everyone in the restaurant was made aware of this. They already knew Princess Celestia was here but they didn't expect her to just burst out of the window screaming at an insanely high pitch. "Celestia?!" Ash gasped. "Sister?!" Luna stood up. "Our hooves just touched, that's all." Cobalion looked at his hoof. "Urgh..." Cadence herself get embarrassed by this. "Why are you so bad at romance, auntie...?" "Well...anyway..." Sunset slowly turned her head back to Keldeo. "Your journey to became a sword sure is something. Losing your horn like that?" "Ah, well yeah!" Keldeo laughed. "Being all reckless and headstrong cost me my horn. I thought Kyurem was chasing me down for the fun of it. But really, he just found out I lied and wanted a proper battle. But I bet I could beat him now, ya know! I came close!" "Did you now?" Sunset placed her hoof on her cheek. "Can you prove it?" "Well uh..." Keldeo rubbed the back of his mane while laughing nervously. "I'll check on her." Cobalion stood up to go and talk to Celestia himself while the employee of the restaurant had their jaw dropped when witnessing more of the restaurant being destroyed via alicorn love. "π˜Όπ™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–!" Across Manehattan, Celestia was still galloping, essentially fleeing from love. She was moving so fast that she even surpassed her normal running and flying speed. Celestia barged through some doors as she wasn't really looking where she was going. The Sun Princess was too perplexed for her vision to properly work. as everypony in Manehattan was staring at her, wondering why their ruler was galloping while screaming. Celestia did a hard turn to the right, blasting through another door, causing a sonic boom in the process. And along the way, she was actually solving many problems with her directionless galloping. She managed to solve the issue of two ponies struggling to pull apart a large finger trap. Those are nigh-impossible to break and these two ponies accidentally got their faces stuck between them. "This is all your fault..." The pony said. "My fault? You're the one who-" "π˜Όπ™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–!" The other pony was about to finish their sentence until Princess Celestia came bursting through their home, ripping the finger trap into two while leaving behind a large trail of dust. "Oh! Thank you, Princess Celestia!" Another problem she solved was helping a tourist human get up to a high place to really get a view of the skies of Manehattan. And Equestria in general. There was a rare occurrence about to happen in the sky and he wanted to get a good look at it. But he couldn't from the height he was currently standing on. "Ah...I should just catch a Flying-Type really. A really big one like Braviary. But it's getting too late to-" "π˜Όπ™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–!" Celestia's insane speed rocketed the trainer into the air by crashing through him. "Oh! Thank you!" The trainer thanked her as he took a picture of the beautiful occurrence which was a stardust aurora caused by some Togekiss who were bringing gifts to Equestria. The third one was preventing a major accident from happening. Some construction workers weren't aware of the potential collapse of the scaffolding they were working on. At any moment, it could break apart. "π˜Όπ™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–π™–!" But along came Celestia, who ended up knocking all of the construction workers far away while the scaffolding fell. Everypony was almost crushed by the collapsing scaffolding but they were saved by Celestia's galloping and running. And they had their hard hats to protect them from the fall. "Thank you, Princess!" They all said. "Now to deal with this..." A construction worker came across the broken scaffolding. And next, she helped a pony who was suffering from little money by accidentally dropping all of the bits she had in her dress, making it land on the pony. She was going to use that to pay off the bill from all the food ordered back at the restaurant. "Thank you so much, Princess Celestia! My kids are going to love this!" This went on for a while. She accidentally had a baby pony on her back from running through somepony's home. The baby was crying as Celestia actually turned around while still galloping, returning to the home she broke through as she brought the baby back to its mother and father. "...Huh?" The mother and father were rightfully confused. Celestia also stopped a robbery by knocking out the burglar at ridiculous speeds, returning the stolen goods to the victims as well. Celestia seemingly couldn't stop no matter what. The trail of smoke she left behind was so large it could be seen from the horizon as everyone in Manehattan witnessed it go on and on. And back at the restaurant, Cadence deemed this as a failure as well as Luna. "Just when it was going so well..." Cadence groaned. "Is Princess Luna away from Ash yet?" Twilight took a peek to see that Luna was shaking her head because of her sister's sudden outburst. For now, she just seemed distracted. Twilight saw this as an opportunity to have Ash for herself. "Yes!" "Ah..." Ash patted his belly along with Pikachu. "I'm stuffed. Whaddya say we head home, buddy?" "Pikachu." "What?! Now?!" Twilight winced. "What about you, Keldeo?" Ash sat up. "Hm? Nah, I'll stay for a bit. Sunset's telling me about her next. You can fly?" "Only when it counts," said Sunset. "Having wings in the human world was completely unexpected for me. I mean, I'm still a unicorn after all." "Wait, Ash! Don't leave yet!" Twilight teleported over, appearing next to Ash and Pikachu. "What are you doing Twilight...?!" Cadence stretched her face. "Have some more! I can feed you if you want." "I beg your pardon?" Luna suddenly shifted her head towards Twilight. "I think not." "Why not?" Twilight asked. "Well...Because..." Luna scrunched her face, trying to not make it look obvious that she also has a crush on Ash. "Because I said so!" "That doesn't sound a lot like you, Princess Luna." Twilight lowered her eyes. "I'll just head home and eat some of mom's cooking instead." Ash pointed to the side as Pikachu hopped onto his shoulder. "Let's go, Pikachu." "Wait!" Both Twilight and Luna bellowed, causing Ash to freeze. "How did it all go so wrong...?" Cadence sighed. "Can you do it here?!" Keldeo leaned forward. "Well, if I could, I'd be an alicorn. But that's not gonna happen." Sunset chuckled as she and Keldeo were the only ones having a normal conversation during all of this. "I'll just take some of this with me." Ash picked up the food as he was going to bring it home. He then dashed away with Pikachu. "See ya tomorrow!" "Pika-Pika!" "Ash!" They both held their hoof out, trying to stop Ash. But they knew it was pointless as they both sighed. "What a waste..." But then, the two of them locked eyes, giving each other not so pleasant glares as lightning was coming out of their eyes, clashing against each other. "So. You have personal interest with Ash as well, do you?" "Mhm," Twilight replied with her eyes being narrowed even further. "Sorry to disappoint, Twilight Sparkle. But you're a bit out of your league for him." "Hah! What makes you say that? Besides, I've been with him longer. So there's that!" The tension between the two alicorns was intensifying while Keldeo and Sunset were having an ordinary conversation. Twilight's Espeon had a very bad feeling about this as she shuddered. "Hold it!" Cadence slid in with her Sylveon, holding them both back. "This isn't the place for you two to tear each other apart!" "Sylveon!" "Espeon!" "Hmph!" Both night-based-named alicorns turned away from each other. "We'll see who succeeds in all of this. I promise you, I won't hold back, Twilight Sparkle." Luna declared. "Neither will I. I'll be coming out on top in the long run!" "Ugh...How did this happen?" Cadence whimpered as she wanted this to be over already. A nearby beach. Celestia had finally stopped running. She had stopped at a place known as Shellos Seashore. Currently, the sun princess was sitting by the sea with her mane down and clothes all rugged and wrinkly from all that running. She was a bit of a mess now. "Why am I like this?" Celestia said to herself with her head lowered. "So much for being confident and strong. Cobalion must think I'm insane now...Curse it all." She sat there for a while. Considering how she was feeling at the moment, Celestia could be here for hours. Thankfully, she wouldn't have to. Because Cobalion had arrived. Surprisingly, he had caught up to her in a short amount of time despite how ludicrously fast she was moving. "Have you recovered?" Cobalion asked. "Mhm." Celestia let out a timid response. "Good." Cobalion went up to her. "Not the result you were expecting to happen tonight, correct?" "No..." Celestia shook her head. "Why can't I just be forward and honest? You must think I hate you." "Not at all. I don't think that. If anything, this is just something you're not used to. Aside from the love for your family, friends, subjects and kingdom, romance isn't your forte after all." "Not one bit. The one thing I can't understand." "It's fine. It's not my speciality either." "It's not?" Celestia looked up at Cobalion. "If anything, you're the first one to show any high signs of affection towards me. I've seen many Humans and Pokemon fall in love over the years but I've never understood it myself. Saving Pokemon and humans from disasters is always my top priority. But, I suppose I do love my comrades. The Swords of Justice. And my world as well. That much, I can understand." "So we're in the same boat, are we? Guess I'm not alone in this. "We've both lived for so many years and there's just one thing we haven't mastered yet. Still a bit embarrassing honestly." Celestia chuckled. "Such is life. No one's perfect. But, that doesn't mean we can't stop trying." "What do you mean?" Celestia asked. "What do you say we work on it together? Perhaps we can learn from each other and finally cross out the struggle of understanding love. Don't you agree?" "Ah!" Celestia had a sunny smile on her face. And right next to them, in the water, a Luvdisc showed up. Whenever Luvdisc appears and is found, a potential couple finding this PokΓ©mon will be blessed with eternal love."Yes! I certainly do!" "Splendid. Now, I'll be on my way, if you'll excuse me, Princess Celestia." Cobalion turned around as he was ready to head out and help other living creatures alongside the Swords of Justice. "Oh." Celestia stood up. "You can just call me Celestia, please." "Understood. Celestia." With that, Cobalion walked off, leaving Celestia with something to remember tonight. "Calling me by that name only without formality must mean something right? I feel so lucky right now!" Celestia got all giddy, prancing on the spot. "Wait till Luna hears about this!" The Blind Date came to an end. Overall, it could've gone better. While Cobalion and Celestia have managed to expand their relationship, the third rivalry for Twilight had been birthed. At first, it was Bayleef. Then it was Meloettea and now it was Princess Luna with both alicorns vowing to win Ash over in the end. Whenever that happens. And the only result that actually came out the best was Keldeo and Sunset Shimmer who had managed to become friends after their conversation. Truly a night to remember. As the journey continues. Chapter 384 End.
