My Little Pokémon

Electrifying Evolution

Saddle lake, day.

The rival battle between Rainbow Dash and Daylight Blazer was raging on. With Daylight showing Rainbow Dash just how unpredictable his battle strategy is from Araquanid's Sticky Web and Sigilyph's Gravity, this is sure to really test Rainbow Dash's progress as a trainer.

"How about we rip the other webs apart too? Whirlipede! Rollout across the field!" Rainbow Dash commanded.

"Whirl!" Whirlipede, now much faster because of Speed Boost, rolled forward with high speeds as the plan to rid the battlefield of all the webs had been initiated.

"Like I'd let you! Sigilyph, use Air Slash!"

"Sigil!" Sigilyph wasn't going to let Daylight's Sticky Web and Gravity plan go to waste or even fade away. Even though the gravity field has a time limit anyway. To stop Whirilipede from breaking the nets, the Avianoid Pokemon sent cutting waves of wind from its body, sending them straight for the Curlipede Pokemon.

"Dodge and break the webs at the same time!"

"Pede!" Whirlipede drifted on the ground while his horn-like feelers and poison barbs around his shell began tearing apart the webs that were littered across the battlefield.

While drifting, he was able to avoid the approaching waves of wind thanks to Speed Boost increasing his acceleration and momentum. Not only that, but since Air Slash was missing, it was also benefiting Rainbow Dash and Whirlipede's chances as some of the waves destroyed the many nets on the ground.

"Oh!" Daylight quickly realized that he was sabotaging his own plan at this point. "Stop Sigilyph!"

"Sigil?!"

"Wouldn't do that if I were you! Whirlipede! Roll on the tree and get some sweet airtime!"

"Whirlipede!" By tearing through some more nets, the Curlipede Pokemon then rolled up to the nearest tree, using it as a ramp. Rainbow Dash and Whirlipede are always in sync with each other. Whatever Rainbow Dash says, Whirlipede knows what her approach is.

By using the tree as a ramp and with the addition of Speed Boost, Whirlipede had managed to accelerate to a point where he had even become airborne. The height he had gained was impressive as he went high enough to even go above Sigilyph.

"Lyph?!" Sigilyph turned around to see that Whirlipede was now above it.

"Now! Pin Missile!"

"Whirlipede!" While in the air, Whirlipede shot out multiple white arrows from its feelers while still having some airtime. The missiles spun around in a spiral which they don't normally do.

"Quick! Counter with Shadow Ball!"

"Sigil!" A short burst Shadow Ball came out. Since it was a short burst and not a fully charged one, it wasn't as powerful as usual. But strong nonetheless.

The multiple missiles of Bug-Type energy met with the ball of shadows, bombarding it repeatedly. Shadow Ball was being pelted by Pin Missile, struggling to keep the arrows back.

One of the arrows actually managed to pierce through Shadow Ball while the others couldn't. That one arrow struck Sigilpyh's face, sending the Avianoid Pokemon back. The Shadow Ball and remaining Pin Missiles eventually cancelled each other out via an explosion.

"Lyph!" Sigilyph was directed downwards. And that almost made him fall into the Stick Web trap that had been formed. Luckily for Sigilyph and Daylight, it recovered fairly quickly as it almost also hit the gravity field it had created.

"That was close! Use Psychic!"

"Sigilyph!" The eye on the appendage on Sigilyph's head started to glow light blue as its body became outlined in light blue as well. The light blue outline then flashed brightly for a few moments, allowing Sigilyph to fire an invisible blast of Psychic energy out.

"Charge through with Rollout!"

"Whirl!" With little air time remaining, Whirlipede used the last amount of it to pull off one more Rollout. This time in the air as he spun around while airborne.

Rollout is a move that increases in strength each time it is used. Not to mention that Whirlipede had gained more speed because of his ability Speed Boost. With those two factors in play, Whirlipede now had the ramming speed of a train at his disposal.

With extra strength and speed, Whirlipede rolled in the air, heading straight for the Avianoid Pokemon as he was moving so fast that a visible wind aura was forming around him.

"What speed?! Dodge it Sigilyph!"

"S-Sigil?!" Sigilyph could see a wind-covered Whirlipede coming this way. Not wanting to be on the receiving end of a sped-up super-effective Rollout, Sigilyph quickly flapped its wings out of fear.

Unfortunately, speed wasn't in Sigilyph's favour today. It was in Whirlipede's favour. As such, Whirlipede easily caught and crashed into Sigilyph's back at 200 mph.

"Pede!"

"Lyph!" With an impact that ferocious, both Sigilyph and Whirlipede were sent crashing down to the ground with so much force that they created a crater.

Some of the webs that were in the way had been destroyed as well. And from the crater, Whirlipede rolled out of it after crashing into the Avianoid Pokemon.

"Ah! Sigilyph!" Daylight gasped.

"Nice hit, buddy!" Rainbow praised Whirlipede.

"Whirl!"

"Are you alright, Sigilyph?!"

"S-Sigilyph..." Sigilyph had finally been taken down. It had fainted after being hit that hard.

"Sigilyph's down and out! Whirlipede wins this one!" Pinkie Pie declared.

"Phew! I thought that was never gonna end." Rainbow Dash sighed. "You're awesome as always, Whirlipede!"

"Whirlipede!"

"I tell ya! Whirlipede and Rainbow Dash make a pretty strong duo!" Applejack cheered.

"Whirlipede's the first Pokemon she ever caught. It makes sense that he'd be so reliable." Twilight nodded.

"Espeon."

And with Sigilyph down, the gravity field was gone. Now, Rainbow Dash and the rest of her Pokemon didn't have to worry about something slowing them down.

"Return, Sigilyph." Daylight returned his Pokemon. "Good job. Sorry that the Gravity plan didn't go all the way."

"You good to stay in pal? Or do you wanna switch out?"

"Whirl!" Whirlipede chose to stay in since he's already fast enough to possibly keep up or outspeed some of Daylight's Pokemon.

"In it is." Rainbow Dash nodded. "His next Pokemon could be Medicham or maybe Sawsbuck again. Or maybe..."

"Hmm..." Daylight pulled out his next Poke Ball as he launched it forward. "Go! Armaldo!"

"Armaldo!"

"Armaldo, huh...?" Rainbow Dash narrowed her eyes.

"Thought I might switch it up a bit. When it comes to hitting hard, Armaldo's great. The only one who can rival her in strength is my Blaziken obviously. This time, I'll play very aggressively."

"What happened to using strategy and mind games like you normally do?"?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"I've got different battle styles, Rainbow. All of my Pokemon have a set purpose when I battle. My Medicham's what I use for speed and tiring my opponents out. Araquind and Sigilyph go hand in hand with my whole Sticky Web and Gravity trap. Unless the opponent's a Dark-Type. But that's where Blaziken comes in. Him, Sawsbuck and Armaldo are my heavy hitters at the end of it all. And I've trained them to make them really fit those roles."

"Seriously?" Rainbow Dash pulled back.

"You always have to be ready for any type of opponent, Rainbow. No matter what. And learning about Pokemon is what helped me realize that. And I've got a bunch more waiting at home that can handle other opponents."

"Y-You mean you have more Pokemon?!"

"Well, yeah. 6 just isn't enough ya know. Alright, Armaldo! Use Meteor Beam!"

"Armal...!" The Plate Pokemon put her claws together as she was gathering the power of space itself into her body. This was a move that requires some time much like Solar Beam so any Pokemon that uses this is wide open. And Rainbow Dash could see that.

"Wide open! Rollout, let's go!"

"Whirlipede!" Rollout had a ton of power-packed behind it at this point. Enough to probably breakthrough steel itself. Not to mention that Armaldo's Bug-Typing, unfortunately, makes it weak to Rock, despite her already being part Rock.

But Daylight wasn't bothered by that as Whirlipede boosted off the ground, picking up a wind pressure as he moved at speeds almost invisible to the eye.

"Rollout's already super strong now! This should be a One-hit KO!" Spike stood up.

"Yeah but Armaldo's defence..." Ash knew that it wouldn't be so easy.

"Pede!" Whirlipede had smashed into Armaldo's stomach, causing her eyes to widen while she was charging up Meteor Beam. The force of the impact was so great that the ground beneath them cracked as the Plate Pokemon was also pushed back by this incredible force.

But she wasn't launched. Armaldo's defence is something to be reckoned with as she only slid back. Her feet didn't even leave the ground as Whirlipede was the one sent flying back because of how hard he crashed into her.

"Whirl!"

"Seriously?! She didn't get launched!" Rainbow Dash was surprised.

"Hmph. Now!" Daylight gave the call to fire.

"Armaldo!" Armaldo was overflowing with space power. The cosmos were now within her as her special attack had been boosted because of it. And out of Armaldo's mouth came a giant beam of cosmic power with meteoric rocks surrounding it as it ripped the grass apart and even shook the trees and lake.

"Holy moly! Dodge it!"

"Pede!" Whirlipede quickly turned to the left, using his superior speed to evade the approaching beam of meteoric power. However, the attack was so wide and so long that even though Whirlipede was able to swiftly move to the side, he couldn't fully avoid it.

Meteor Beam had scraped the back of his shell, causing the Curlipede Pokemon to lose his balance as the back of his shell received a bruise from all that burning meteoric energy. A total of 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit was packed into it.

"W-Whirl!" Whirlipede winced as he ended up tumbling. With his momentum and balance being disrupted, the Bug-Poison-Type fell over, landing near a tree.

"Oh! Whirlipede!" Rainbow Dash spread her wings. "Are you okay?!"

"No time to be resting! Armaldo, Metal Claw!"

"Maldo!" The Plate Pokemon ran over to Whirlipede, lighting one of her claws up as she was ready to chop down at the Curlipede Pokemon.

"We've still got the speed advantage! Quick! Use Rollout one more time! And hit her from the side!"

"Pede!" Whirlipede quickly got up from the ground, regaining his balance as he got back to his usual rolling. He could still move in a flash even after being knocked over. Although, Meteor Beam had severely scraped his shell, making him feel a bit weak. But it was nothing that Whirlipede couldn't get through.

The Curlipede Pokemon drifted to the side, ready to crash into the Pate Pokemon from the side with ludicrous and volatile power. Whirlipede then closed into Armaldo, kicking up a large dust cloud because of his speed.

"Mal!" But, Armaldo wasn't that easy to catch off guard as she snapped her eyes to the side, gazing at the approaching Whirlipede. "Armaldo!"

Armaldo then turned around, raising her claws as she was ready for her fellow Bug-Type with Metal Claw. With Whirlipede close enough, the Plate Pokemon slammed her claws down onto Whirlipede's shell while the Curlipede Pokemon smashed into Armaldo's stomach.

Both Pokemon managed to hit each other and land their moves at the same time.

As such, they both took heavy damage. Armaldo's amazing physical strength and Whirlipede's Rollout boost. Both were potent in their way. And both were strong enough to really leave an impact.

Whirlipede had been launched back while Armaldo slid on the ground, falling on her back afterwards. Both trainers gasped as they witnessed their Pokemon take serious damage from that collision.

"A-Armaldo...!" Armaldo stood back up, but barely. Even with her great defence, being hit by a boosted Rollout at insane speeds was dangerous enough to even put a highly defensive Pokemon on edge. Minus Steel-Types, of course.

But as for Whirlipede, with his shell being burnt and bruised from Meteor Beam as well as taking a hard Metal Claw to his already damaged shell, the Curlipede Pokemon was finding it hard to get back up as he was currently lying to the side.

"Come on, Whirlipede! Get up!" Rainbow Dash clenched her teeth.

"P-Pede!" But again, Whirlipede, despite being a Pokemon that isn't even at its final evolution, he was still able to continue. Much like Ash's Pikachu, Whirlipede could keep on going until he wears out. "Whirlipede!" With that, Whirlipede stood back up.

"Seriously?" Daylight's eyes widened. "Talk about defence."

"You haven't seen anything yet. I haven't even used Whirlipede's Iron Defence yet!" Rainbow Dash laughed.

"Whirl!"

"But...I think you should rest, for now, pal." Rainbow Dash decided to return her partner to his Poke Ball, deciding to let him rest.

"At this rate, Rainbow Dash's Pokemon will end up getting tired out. Daylight's Pokemon are really something, aren't they?" said Spike.

"Really something." Twilight nodded.

"Then in that case...Return." Daylight also returned his Armaldo with a brand new idea sparking up in his mind. "So, Rainbow. Your team's looking pretty worn out now. Better be more careful. Cause the rest of my team's still healthy and raring to go."

"Heh. Just you wait. I've still got two more aces in the holes that can really turn this around for me." Rainbow Dash adjusted her goggles.

"Hmph. Alright then." Daylight took out his next Poke Ball. "I've decided. This one Pokemon is gonna beat your entire team. Took me a while to really think about it."

"One Pokemon?" Rainbow Dash raised an eyebrow. "Is it Blaziken or Medicham?"

"Let's go! Salazzle!" Daylight sent out his next Pokemon. The Toxic Lizard Pokemon, Salazzle.

"Salazzle!"

"What is that?!" Rainbow Dash was just seeing Salazzle for the first time, including the rest of the Mane 6, Spike and Starlight as they took their Pokedexes out.

"Salazzle. The Toxic Lizard Pokemon. For some reason, only females have been found. It creates a reverse harem of male Salandit that it lives with. Filled with pheromones, its poisonous gas can be diluted to use in the production of luscious perfumes. It punishes Salandit that couldn’t bring it food with a fierce slap of its flame-spewing palm. The winner of competitions between Salazzle is decided by which one has the most male Salandit with it."

"A Poison-Fire-Type? That's just terrifying..." Rarity gulped.

"So you don't have Medicham on you for once?"

"Nah. I rotate my Pokemon, ya know. But I always keep Blaziken at my side at all times."

"Sala...!"

"Kh!" Rainbow Dash grit her teeth. "It's a Poison-Fire-Type...That's a tough combo to deal with. If only Whirlipede wasn't so beat up right now. Rollout would be really good right now. But, I can still count on the rest of my teammates." She then took out the next Poke Ball, tossing it with her wing. "Okay! Let's put the pressure on and get super aggressive! Mienfoo!"

"Mienfoo!"

"Isn't Mienfoo a bad pick?" Starlight questioned.

"Mienfoo's a Fighting-Type and they're not the best against Poison-Types. But, she doesn't have any Fighting-moves on her. Not to mention, Poison may resist Fighting, but it's not super-effective against it." Ash explained. "Mienfoo's can still go up against Salazzle because of that. Plus, Whirlipede really helped clear out the battlefield too."

"Pikachu."

"Oh." Starlight nodded.

"Let's go! Agility and Fury Swipes, Mienfoo!"

"Foo!" By letting out a ferocious battle cry, Mienfoo increased her speed while charging at Salazzle with her claws showing.

"Hmph. When it comes to speed, other than my Blaziken, Salazzle's an expert in that! Salazzle! Dragon Pulse!"

"Dragon Pulse?!" Rainbow Dash gasped.

"Sala...Zzle!" The Toxic Lizard Pokemon got on all fours as she opened her mouth, firing a lightning-fast dragon-shaped shockwave came flying out, faster than any other Dragon Pulse that has been seen.

"Dodge it!"

"Mien?!" Mienfoo's eyes widened as she was shocked at how fast Dragon Pulse was approaching. Using her nimble body and Agility, the Martial Arts Pokemon flipped over Dragon Pulse, but barely. She had almost been scraped by that attack due to its ludicrous speed.

"Sala!" But, Salazzle didn't stop there. She actually raised her head, directing the Dragon Pulse upwards instead of just firing in a straight line.

With Dragon Pulse going upwards, it was able to catch Mienfoo, who couldn't do much in the air. Only the ground. One of the many disadvantages of the Fighting-Type, which explains why Flying-Types are strong against them.

"Foo?!" Mienfoo gasped as she had been hit by Dragon Pulse in the air. The dragon-shaped shockwave crashed into the Martial Arts Pokemon, forming an explosion as she had been shot out of the sky.

"Oh, no! Mienfoo!"

"M-Mienfoo..." Mienfoo fell from the sky with smoke trailing out of her. With just one single hit, Mienfoo had fainted as she fell on her back.

"Woah. A one-hit KO. That's it for Mienfoo. Sorry, Rainbow Dash. Salazzle wins!"

"One shot?" Applejack adjusted her hat. "That's a shame."

"Did you see how fast that Dragon Pulse came out?" Spike's eyes widened.

"Axew."

"The only ones healthy enough to keep on battling are Luxio, Braviary and Altaria. And two of them are her strongest Pokemon by far. So she can still win this." Fluttershy said.

"Yes, but only Armaldo's tired out. The rest of Daylight's Pokemon are still energetic. And there's no time limit for them to hold out on." Twilight was getting worried.

"Return, Mienfoo." Rainbow Dash brought her partner back. "Sorry about that. I promise that one day you'll get a really big win, okay?"

"You haven't seen anything yet, Rainbow. Salazzle's my all-rounder."

"Salazz."

"Tch. Not for long. I know how to deal with all that speed...Luxio! Let's go!" By launching her Poke Ball, out came her Luxio.

"Luxio!"

"Discharge, go!"

"Xio!" Not wasting any time, Luxio instantly unleashed a ton of his power by letting loose a flare of electricity that was also targeted towards Salazzle in the form of a lightning bolt.

"Dodge and use Sludge Bomb."

"Sala!" With superior speed, Salazzle lunged to the side while also releasing multiple brown globs of sludge from her mouth. These globs rained down Luxio on like pellets after he had just finished using Discharge.

"Lux!" Luxio cried as a poisonous explosion emerged afterwards, rocketing the Spark Pokemon back. "Xio!" But, Luxio was able to recover quickly by landing on his feet and veering on the ground. One of the many perks of being a member of the cat family.

"Let's go, Luxio! Wild Charge!"

"Xio!" Luxio roared with ferocity as a sparking aura of electricity surrounded his body. He then bolted forward at high speeds, leaving a trail of lightning in the shape of a lightning bolt behind.

"Fire Lash!"

"Lazzle!" Salazzle stuck her tongue out as it lit on fire. She then swung her blazing tongue around like a whip as it even burned away at some of the grass here. But she didn't use it to attack just yet. She was just intimidating Luxio.

"Lux!" Luxio got close enough to potentially smash into Salazzle. But, the Toxic Lizard Pokemon was more cunning than Luxi could imagine. Because once Luxio got close, Salazzle used Fire Flash to wrap around Luxio's neck. "X-Xio?!"

"Sala!" With Luxio's legs restrained, Salazzle then swung the Spark Pokemon around while burning his neck

"L-Luxio!"

"Lazzle!" Salazzle then slammed Luxio on the ground, dealing some heavy body damage to him before pulling the Spark Pokemon close to her.

"Luxio! Break free, quick!"

"L-Lux...!" Luxio growled as he was now in front of Salazzle's face while also being held by her blazing tongue. The fire was already damaging Luxio's neck over time.

"Salazz."

"Now! Shift into Dragon Pulse!"

"Sala...!" While still using Fire Lash to hold Luxio, inside of Salazzle's mouth, Dragon Pulse was being charged up. She was going to fire it point-blank in the Spark Pokemon's face.

An attack from point-blank range is worse than an attack from afar. And this doesn't spell good news for Luxio, who was trying to break free right now.

"Quick! Use Discharge around your body!"

"L-Luxio!" Luxio decided to emanate high amounts of voltage electricity from his body. With electricity coming out of him, Salazzle had been shocked since she had brought Luxio close to her and was currently making physical contact with him.

"Sala!" Salazzle could feel all that electricity pour into her as Dragon Pulse had been disrupted. She also lost her grip on Luxio because of this, freeing the Spark Pokemon from her burning tongue.

"Lux!" Luxio then ran back, getting away from the Poison-Fire-Type.

"Lazzle!" Salazzle had shaken off the remains of Discharge as she hissed at Luxio.

"Good job! Now use Discharge one more time!"

"I don't think so! Fire Blast!"

"Luxio!"

"Salazzle!" At the same time, both Pokemon unleashed their attacks with Luxio striking everything around him by letting loose a flare of electricity and Salazzle attacking with an intense blast of all-consuming fire in the shape of an 大.

Both attacks met, entering a power struggle instead of just equalling each other out and blowing up together. Sparks of fire and electricity were starting to fly all over the place because of how much raw energy was being unleashed at this moment.

"L-Luxio...!" Luxio growled as he was trying to emerge victorious in this power struggle, but so far, Fire Blast was coming out on top with ease as the Spark Pokemon was being pushed back while his blast of lightning was being consumed and diminished.

"Come on! Push through, Luxio!" Rainbow Dash bellowed, trying to spark her partner up.

"Salazzle!" It was clear that Salazzle was both an expert in speed and special attack prowess. This was nothing for her. Luxio was only an expert in physical damage, unfortunately.

As such, Fire Blast tore through Discharge, easily overpowering the Electric-Type move. Thus, Discharge had been consumed as Luxio's eyes widened, knowing that this attack was sure to hit him.

And hit him it did.

A ferocious and terrible explosion of fire emerged in the shape of a dome as the force of it almost blew everything in Saddle Lake back. But one thing it definitely blew back was Luxio.

The Spark Pokemon was sent flying out of the explosion with a trail of smoke coming out of him. Not only that, but he had also been burned too.

"Luxio!" Rainbow Dash cried out.

"Xio!" Luxio's eyes flashed red after hearing the cry of his trainer. He knew he couldn't give up right here. Letting Rainbow Dash down is something he would hate to do. "Lux...!"

With high spirit, Luxio could carry on. And his eyes flashing red meant that his hidden ability had been awakened because of the burn.

Guts.

Luxio recovered on his feet as he was now pumped up. His already high attack had been greatly boosted as he even became more feral and ferocious now.

"Awesome! Let's go wild! Iron Tail!"

"Luxio!" With a roar akin to that of a lion, Luxio made his tail as hard as Iron as he charged forward with primal instincts within him awakening.

"Counter with Fire Lash!"

"Salazzle!" A perfect counter to the Steel-Type move. The Toxic Lizard Pokemon crawled towards Luxio with her tongue lighting up with fire.

Once they both got close to each other, the two Pokemon started clashing their tail and tongue like swords. There was even a clanging sound, most likely coming from Iron Tail.

Back and forth, over and over again, both Pokemon swung their long body parts around with Fire Lash slowly melting away at Iron Tail with each hit. And Luxio could certainly feel it.

"Xio!" Luxio then jumped up, swinging his Iron Tail downwards instead of sideways like a hammer. But, Salazzle, with her superior speed, swayed her head to the left, causing Luxio to miss his Iron Tail as it hit the ground. "Lux?!"

"Lazz!" Salazzle found an opening as she whacked Luxio away with Fire Lash.

"Luxio!"

"Wild Charge!"

"Lux!" Luxio quickly rolled in the air, surrounding himself in electricity. To say he was persistent was an understatement as he bolted forward while in the air. Now he really looked like a lightning bolt.

"Dragon Pulse!"

"Sala!" Salazzle got on all fours, once more, firing Dragon Pulse while Luxio was approaching at high speeds.

"Xio!" Luxio clenched his teeth as his electric aura met with Salazzle's dragon-shaped blast. Upon collision, Luxio immediately had the instinct to charge right through the move with Wild Charge. And Rainbow Dash was thinking the same thing as well.

"Breakthrough, Luxio!"

"Xio!" Luxio opened his mouth as his pupils intensified while letting out a powerful roar so grand that it even scared some of the Pokemon here.

But Salazzle wasn't intimidated as she increased the power of Dragon Pulse. The dragon-shaped blast was growing in size, only making things harder for Luxio. "Salazzle!"

"Luxio!" Luxio kept pushing himself. Figuratively and literally. At this point, he was pushing his body to its limits, straining himself in the process.

"Luxio looks like he's straining himself!" Fluttershy gasped.

"He's really determined to get through, huh?" Applejack gazed.

"Come on, Luxio! You can do it!" Rainbow Dash bellowed.

"X-Xio!"

"I don't think so! Let's finish this Salazzle! Soon, we'll be at the top of the Equestria League together!"

"L-Luxio?!" Hearing that made Luxio remember that he was going to be the one to carry Rainbow Dash to the very top. In his eyes, no one else should be at the top except for Rainbow Dash.

He didn't care about the strain being put on his body or how far he was pushing himself. As long as he can come out on top. With one last roar, Luxio's body was suddenly starting to glow.

"Oh!" Everyone gasped as they noticed Luxio glowing.

"Lux...Luxio...!" Luxio growled as the clouds above were suddenly darkening. A storm was suddenly brewing as lightning bolts were raining down from above. This only meant one thing.

The lightning bolts had crashed down onto Luxio's glowing body as red and golden eyes could be seen within the glow. And those red and golden eyes belonged to one Pokemon.

"Lux...! Lux...! Luxray!" Luxray was here.

With an even greater roar than before, Luxray blitzed through the Dragon Pulse, crashing into Salazzle at speeds so fast that the only ones who were able to see him were Ash, Pikachu Rainbow Dash and Daylight.

Everyone else couldn't keep up. The only thing they saw was an electric explosion happen on the ground. They had missed Luxray crashing into Salazzle.

"W-What just happened?!" Pinkie Pie rubbed her eyes.

"Woah..." Rainbow Dash's jaw dropped as she saw Luxray jump out of the electrical explosion while Salazzle had been launched back. "Lux...io?"

"Luxray!" Luxray bellowed.

"You evolved!" Rainbow Dash immediately pulled out her Pokedex for this one.

"Luxray. The Gleam Eyes Pokemon. Luxray can see through solid objects with its gleaming eyes. It will instantly spot prey trying to hide behind walls, even if the walls are thick. It also uses them to seek its young. Seeing through solid objects uses up a lot of Luxray’s electricity, so the Pokémon sleeps for long periods of time to store up energy. Luxray’s ability to see through objects comes in handy when it’s scouting for danger."

"Oh! You have X-Ray vision?! Awesome!" Rainbow Dash got giddy. "Did you learn any new moves too?" She scrolled down Luxray's page to see if a new move had been learned.

"Discharge. Wild Charge. Iron Tail. Ice Fang."

"Ice Fang? Well, it won't be any good on Salazzle, but whatever! It'll be great on the rest of his Pokemon though!"

"Well, would ya look at that?" Daylight was stunned by the sudden evolution. "But...Evolution won't save you in this."

"Heh! We'll see about that! Okay, Luxray! Let's put your new strength to the test!"

"Ray!"

With an evolution mid-battle, Rainbow Dash now has the fierce and perceptive Luxray on her side. But this rival battle is far from over at this point as the journey continues.

Chapter 382 End.
