The first 5-6 nymphs are in 1st grade. This includes Scootaloo, Frost Flare and Rainy. They also know about shapeshifting. Celestia signed a peace accord with Rainbow’s hive, which allowed them to come out undisguised and no one opposed. Rainbow Dash is an element of loyalty, after all. Everyone knew that deep down, she was just an ordinary pony like the rest of them and she would never betray them. She never did.
“Ok class, today we’re gonna be learning about our family members.” said Miss Cheerilee, and pointed to a family tree on the board. “You have your mom and dad, grandma and grandpa, aunts, uncles, siblings. Lots of them in Rainy’s case.”
(after 30 minutes of explaining)
“Here’s the project. For Monday’s show and tell, we’ll have.. Rainy Dash, Cumulonimbus and Star Trail showing us pictures of their mother, father, siblings, maternal and paternal grandparents. Rainy, only two of them please, and not anyone from this class. Younger siblings.”
“Yes Miss Cheerilee!” said confident Cumulonimbus and Star Trail. “Um, ok Miss!” said a slightly, very teensy bit scared Rainy, wondering who in Equestria her father was.
After 3 more lessons, Rainbow Dash came to pick her kids up from school. “Mom! Today was awesome! We learnt about our family tree!” said Scootaloo. “That sounds great, dear.” said Rainbow Dash, a bit nervous about the next question. “Mom, wh-” Rainy was cut off by her mother. “Whatever it was, we’ll discuss at home.” Rainbow Dash grabbed her three kids, shapeshifted into her pony form, and quickly dashed home. She sent the girls to freshen up. After they did, at tea time, Rainy re-asked her question. “Mom, who’s-” She was AGAIN cut off by Rainbow Dash. “The littlest ones need me. They usually wake up by now.” said Rainbow Dash, and dashed off to attend to the newborn nymphs. Who were just waking up. “WAAAAAAA!!!” they wailed in fear of this new pony. Rainbow just calmed them down by feeding and playing with them.
The next morning, Rainbow Dash woke up to some butt ache. Rainy rushed in. “Mom, good morning! Who’s our D-” she was AGAIN cut off. “Ow! The new eggs are coming out of me, fast. See ya later Rainy!”
Rainbow rushed to the nursery, and relieved herself of about 30 eggs.
“Mom, we NEED to talk.” said Rainy, after Rainbow had finished eating her breakfast. “Oh! I almost forgot! There’s gonna be some eggs hatching today! I need to check on them! Wanna join me, Rainy? And also call your triplet sisters. They need to see the newest nymphs.” Rainy went and got her sisters.
*crack*
“Aww! So tiny!” said Frost Flare.
“Not bad, these little guys seem cool.” said Scootaloo coolly, trying to mimic Rainbow Dash.
“Heh, nice try Scoots. I’m with Frost here. So cute!”
“Aww! But who’s their dad?”
Rainbow looked stunned. ‘Great. She has asked the question.’ thought Rainbow to herself.
