//------------------------------// // Double Dragon // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Mega Evolution Camp. Three trainers had cleared their trials. The first was Rarity who obtained the Ampharosite and Lopunnite, the second was Applejack who received the Sceptilite and finally the third was Twilight who was given the Absolite. Speaking of Twilight and Absol, they had just returned to the camp, exhausted. Mostly Twilight actually. Applejack had already returned since her battle took less time than Twilight's. "Finally..." Twilight sighed as she fell flat on her face. "I thought that would never end." "An amazing show of skill, darling." Rarity went up to Twilight. "Although, all that aggression coming from Absol is a bit terrifying." "Absol." "Absol's instincts are what really helped in this. Living in the wild for so long has its benefits, huh?" The young alicorn turned to face Absol. "Sol." "By the way. Have Spike and Rainbow Dash finished their battles yet?" Twilight asked. "Not yet. Rainbow Dash has already come across Abomasnow." Rarity turned to the screen. "And Spike's just arriving at his cave now." "So it's just two left." Twilight went up to the tablet. "If they can win, this whole trial will be over." "Let's hope they can." said the lady. Rainbow Dash's Battle. "You're still a Grass-Type first, Abomasnow. Flying's gonna be good on you!" Rainbow Dash smirked. "Altaria! Use Pluck!" "Taria!" The Humming Pokemon ascended with her beak glowing white. She shot her eyes at Abomasnow while also flying straight towards the Frost Tree Pokemon, going straight for a diving attack. "Aboma...Snow!" Abomasnow had a response to that in the form of Ice Punch. By slamming its foot on the ground, the Frost Tree Pokemon shook the cave while clenching his fist. With a blue mist surrounding his fist, Abomasnow thrust his arm forward, colliding his fist with Altaria's beak. Both moves clashed as Abomasnow's Ice Punch easily overpowered Altaria's Pluck as the Frost Tree Pokemon dealt damage to the Humming Pokemon's beak, launching Altaria with the force of his fist. "Alta!" Altaria went flying afterwards as her beak had a bit of ice on it. Luckily, she recovered quickly by maintaining her momentum and mobility. "Guess that didn't work. Doesn't matter! Dragon Pulse, let's go!" "Alta...Ria!" Altaria held her breath in, then afterwards, shooting out a blast shaped like a dragon towards Abomasnow. "Snow!" Abomasnow put his hands together, using the move Blizzard to defend himself. He put his hands forward, creating a violent whirlwind of ice and snow that went straight towards Dragon Pulse. The Dragon-Type move had been blocked by Blizzard as both moves cancelled each other out, blowing up in the process and leaving behind a cold blue smoke cloud. "Now's our chance...!" Rainbow Dash took the opportunity to attack while the smoke cloud was in the way. "Pluck!" "Altaria!" By moving at blistering speeds, Altaria flew through the smoke cloud with her beak glowing, aiming at catching Abomasnow by surprise. "Aboma?!" Abomasnow witnessed Altaria coming out of the smoke as he was certainly surprised, to the point where he was caught off guard. The Frost Tree Pokemon tried to quickly counter with Ice Punch, but he was a bit too late. "Alta!" Altaria had already struck her glowing powered-up beak onto Abomasnow's stomach, dealing super-effective damage. "S-Snow!" Abomasnow's eyes widened. "Do it over and over again!" "Taria-Taria-Taria!" She did just that. Altaria delivered consecutive plucks to Abomsanow's stomach. It was proving to be very efficient as Abomasnow was being pushed back with each pluck. "A-Aboma...!" Abomasnow winced as he couldn't allow himself to continue being damaged like this. Thus, the Frost Tree Pokemon encased both his hands in ice, using Ice Punch. With his hands now full of ice, Abomasnow, who had been backed into the wall from all these repeated Plucks, grabbed onto Altaria's fluffy-cloud-like wings. "Tari!" Altaria shuddered as she felt Abomasnow's cold hands grab her wings. This prompted the Humming Pokemon to stop pecking as she could feel a horrible chill flow through her body. "Ah, Altaria!" "Snow!" With Altaria within his clutches, Abomasnow, who was close to the wall, decided to use its frozen hands to smash the Humming Pokemon onto the walls of the cave, dealing extra damage. Luckily, Altarai's fluffy wings cushioned the blow, but she could still feel the damage. "T-Taria!" "Altaria! Use Disarming Voice really loud to break free!" "Alta..." Altaria closed her eyes as she raised her head, planning to create a sound so loud it will mess with Abomasnow's ears. "Ria!" By exhaling, Altaria let out a pink soundwave with a charming cry behind it as it rocked the cave. The loudest cry she's done yet. Rainbow Dash even had to cover her ears for this. However, despite this being a clever strategy to mess with their opponent, it was soon revealed that Abomasnow wasn't even flinching. He just stood there, holding Altaria in his hands. "What the?!" Rainbow Dash gasped, witnessing Abomasnow being unphased. And so did Altaria. "Taria?!" "It didn't work?! How come?!" Applejack, who was watching the battle with everyone else raised an eyebrow. "Then Abomasnow must have Soundproof!" Ash exclaimed. "Pika!" "What's Soundproof?" Pinkie turned to face Ash. "It's Abomasnow's hidden ability. It gives full immunity to all sound-based moves." He quickly explained. "It's like this Abomasnow was made to deal with an Altaria." "Pikachu..." "No effect...?" Rainbow Dash wasn't aware of the ability Soundproof herself. "Snow!" Abomasnow slammed Altaria onto the wall once more before tossing the Humming Pokemon aside. "Taria!" Altaria rolled on the ground before covering by ascending into the air. "Alta!" "So Disarming Voice isn't gonna be any good here." Rainbow Dash growled. "That's totally fine. I've still got other moves that'll really do the trick." She smirked. "Altaria!" "Abomasnow!" Abomasnow was looking forward to the two of them trying their best to take him out as once again he summoned the cold mist that filled the cave. Against an opponent that has super-effective moves against Altaria and essentially is immune to one of her moves via an ability, the odds are being stacked against Rainbow Dash and Altaria. But then again, the same could be said for everypony else and yet, they managed to succeed in their battles by beating their opponents or tieing with them. Rainbow Dash has great confidence in herself and Altaria. They believe they can win this. But aside from Rainbow Dash, she wasn't the last one to partake in her trial. There was one more of course. Spike had finally arrived at his cave, where Glalie was waiting for them. When entering the cave, just like with Rainbow Dash, a chilling mist filled the cave. Except, this one was arguably worse since Glalie's can instantly freeze the moisture in the atmosphere. Spike and his Salamence stood before Glalie, who was eyeing them down with its somewhat hollow eyes. "Glalie..." A cold mist came out of its mouth as it uttered words. "It had to be an Ice-Type that floats..." Spike sighed. "So much for taking advantage of the air. But it's fine. We can do this, Salamence." "Mence!"  "It's a good thing we've got this move on our side! Salamence! Use Flamethrower!" "Sala...!" Salamence went for an amazing first attack in the form of Flamethrower. By holding his breath in with red sparks flying out, the Dragon Pokemon pulled his head back before moving it forward and opening his mouth, shooting an orange-red stream of fire out. "Mence!" "Lie!" Glalie decided to not engage against Flamethrower. Instead, the Face Pokemon chose to defend itself. And there was one move that was perfect for defending against incoming attacks. At least, for a bit. It is a move that fails if used in succession but always works the first time. That move was Protect. By putting up a green shield, Glalie had protected itself from the super-effective move as Flamethrower split into two when colliding with Protect. As Flamethrower disappeared along with the barrier, Glalie grinned at Spike and Salamence. Although, it was hard to tell since the Face Pokemon only has one expression at all times. "Glalie." "Aw, Protect?" Spike groaned. "Ah, it's fine. It doesn't always work anyway. We'll come straight to you next! Salamence! Move in closer with Flamethrower!" "Salamence!" A full-on approach would be made. Instead of just standing back and firing Flamethrower, Salamence was going to close the gap and fire Flamethrower from a shorter closed distance. A good way to put the pressure on his opponent. The Dragon Pokemon, once again, used Flamethrower by breathing out of his mouth. This time, he was flying forward while using it. "Glal?!" Glalie knew that this was an immediate bad sign for it. It wasn't exactly the fastest Pokemon around and Salamence definitely outsped it by a mile. Using another Protect would only weaken the move, making it more prone to fail. So, Glalie decided to counter it with Shadow Ball. By opening its mouth, the Face Pokemon created a shadowy blob, hurling it forward. The ball of shadows clashed with the stream of flames, creating a small struggle. Flamethrower and Shadow ball equalled each other out, creating a discharge of energy and afterwards an explosion. "Glalie!" And with the smoke blocking both Pokemon from seeing each other, Glalie capitalized on this. The Face Pokemon then used the move Icicle Crash. Glalie took in a deep breath and released a wind with light blue sparkles in it from its mouth into the air. Then, small clumps of ice formed in the wind, growing longer and larger before forming into sharp icicles. The icicles then rained down from above as the smoke was clearing. "Ah! Look up Salamence! Dodge!" Spike was the first to see the icicles once the smoke cleared out as he pointed up in the air. "Sala?" The Dragon Pokemon looked up, but it was too late. The moment he witnessed the icicles, he had been hit in the face and back by them. "Salamence!" Salamence was being bombarded by the raining icicles, taking constant super-effective damage from them. The remaining icicles fell, leaving behind a frigid explosion of chilling smoke that launched Salamence back. "Salamence! Are you okay?!" "S-Sala!" Salamence swiftly recovered by spreading his wings. Icicle Crash sometimes makes the opposing Pokemon flinch. But thankfully, that didn't happen to Salamence so he was free to battle on without being slowed down. Although, there is his Hyper Beam that he has to worry about. "Lie!" Glalie was going for a second Icicle Crash with more clumps of ice forming above the Dragon Pokemon. "Knock them away with Dragon Tail!" "Mence!" Salamence's tail lit up with blue draconic energy as he focused on what was above him instead of in front of him. As Salamence wagged his tail about, the clumps of ice formed into sharp ice shards as they started raining down. This time, Salamence was ready to counter. As the shards fell, the Dragon Pokemon started swinging his tail violently, bashing the shards. Upon contact, Dragon Tail sent the first shard flying as it almost hit Glalie directly. "Glalie?!" Glalie gasped as one of the shards passed it, stabbing into the wall. And as Salamence continued to swing his Dragon Tail, more shards were either flying to the side or heading in Glalie's direction. The Face Pokemon attempted to avoid the shards by moving around, but some of them ended up connecting, dealing damage via its own move. All of the shards were gone. Either by hitting Glalie or being shattered by Salamence's Dragon Tail. "Awesome! We even got some damage in it too." Spike grinned. "Nice aim, Salamence!" He gave a thumbs up. "Salamence!" "Let's keep it up, okay?" "Sala!" Rainbow Dash's battle. "Abomasnow!" The battle against Abomasnow was still going on. Just now, the Frost Tree Pokemon had used Blizzard, filling most of the cave with a violent howling blizzard. "Dodge it!" Rainbow Dash yelled. "Tari!" Altaria was currently avoiding Blizzard by zooming across the cave while Abomasnow was directing the Ice-Type move towards the Humming Pokemon. The cave itself was taking great punishment from Blizzard. The walls were being frozen along with the ground and ceiling too. Even the waterfall had been frozen as well. Rainbow Dash herself was shivering from all this cold. But she couldn't let it throw her off-focus. All she needed to do was finish this battle and she can head home with some warmth and a sweet Mega Stone to boot. "Let's counter Ice with Ice!" Altaria! Ice Beam, go!" "Altar!" Altaria rolled in the air while flying as she redirected her head towards the Frost Tree Pokemon. The Humming Pokemon opened her mouth as she fired a beam of ice out. Two ice attacks had met, causing a chilling reaction between the two moves. A flash-freeze happened with both moves meeting. The dual ice moves were intermingling so much that they not only cancelled each other out, but they also created a somewhat beautiful sight. A radiant flurry of tiny ice sparkles emerged from the explosion of ice as they gently fell. "Aboma..." Abomasnow himself was particularly impressed by what two Ice moves had created. He took the time to gaze at the sparkling sight. "Wide open! Pluck!" "Aria!" Rainbow Dash and Altaria however, weren't here to sightsee and gaze at beautiful move combinations. They were here to win and get that Altarianite. The Humming Pokemon appeared in front of the Frost Tree Pokemon, stabbing her beak into his stomach. "S-Snow!" Abomasnow had taken yet another super-effective hit. This time, Pluck had really launched Abomasnow instead of just slightly pushing him back. The Frost Tree Pokemon spun around in the air after being hit as he slid on the icy ground. Altaria backed away, watching Abomsanow continuously spin. "Heh. I think we'll keep the ground the way it is. Too bad Altaria's a Flying-Type, huh?" Rainbow Dash laughed. "Altaria!" "Aboma!" Abomasnow got up from the ground, growling at Rainbow and Altaria. He actually enjoyed the sight and to have it be interrupted didn't sit well with the Frost Tree Pokemon. In fact, Abomsanow was so irritated that he decided to use a move that perfectly fit his current mood. The Dragon-Type move Outrage. "Snow!" Abomasnow's eyes shined red as a burst of light red energy erupted from the ground, shattering all the ice around Abomasnow and momentarily surrounded his body. The Frost Tree Pokemon, now in a state of rage, jumped off the ground with unpredictable and surprising distance and height, which certainly took Rainbow and Altaria by surprise. "Uh oh!" Rainbow Dash winced. "Fly away!" "Altaria!" Altaria gasped, turning her body around as she ferociously flapped her wings to get away. But, Abomasnow's long arms gave him an edge as he grabbed onto Altaria's tail feathers. "Aboma!" "Aria?!" "Abomasnow!" By using his body weight, Abomasnow dragged Altaria down with the strength of Outrage included. With savagery, Abomsasnow cudgelled Altaria to the ground, dealing heavy amounts of damage as well as leaving a crater behind from the sheer impact. "A-Altaria!" "Snow!" Abomasnow then spun Altaria around, kicking up a small whirlwind in the process as the Frost Tree Pokemon used Outrage to grip onto Altaria's tail feathers hard. "Altaria! Break out of there!" "Aboma!" But, it was a bit impossible to break out of this current predicament considering the grip Abomasnow now has. The Frost Tree Pokemon spun Altaria around enough times for her to become dizzy and dazed. Then, the Grass-Ice-Type ran with Altaria, dragging her body on the ground as he was heading straight for the wall, planning to slam her onto it. "Not good!" Rainbow Dash held her head. "Disarming Voice won't work...But maybe...Altaria! Fire Ice Beam on the ground, quick!" "Aria!" Altaria's face hit the ground repeatedly from all the dragging Abomasnow was doing. The Humming Pokemon was thankfully facing down, so she could fire from the necessary angle. Without wasting any time, Altaria breathed out a beam of ice that immediately affected the ground by flash-freezing it all with ice. And just like before, moving on ice can result in one common thing. Slipping. And that's exactly what Abomasnow experienced. The moment the ground was turned to ice, he slipped and lost balance, causing the Frost Tree Pokemon to fall over and smack his face on to the wall, which he was close to approaching. "A-Abom!" Abomasnow most certainly felt that as the impact of his face hitting the wall caused him to snap out of Outrage. But, the aftereffects of Outrage involve great confusion. "Ta!" Altaria quickly freed herself by flying out of Abomasnow's grip. "He's all confused now! Let's take this chance to win! Pluck one more time!" "Altaria!" Altaria ascended with her beak glowing brightly, even illuminating the ceiling. She was ready to strike a full-force Pluck down. "A-Abomasnow...!" Abomasnow wasn't ready to call it quits as he had one more in his disposal. He turned around, preparing to counter with an even more devastating move than Outrage. Hyper Beam. From Abomasnow's open mouth, a gigantic orb was forming as Altaria's eyes widened, noticing that the move was Hyper Beam from the first glance. And so did Rainbow Dash. "Uh oh. Move, Altaria!" "Abomasnow!" Abomasnow fired a powerful, raging beam that tore through the ground behind and in front of Abomasnow. "Altaria!" Altaria gasped as she quickly moved to the left to try and avoid Hyper Beam. Which she somewhat did. She was able to move most of her body but Hyper Beam was so wide it grazed her wings, causing Altaria to still take damage as she fell over. "Tari!" "Aboma...Abomasnow..." Obviously, when using Hyper Beam, Abomasnow needed to take a break and recharge due to how powerful it was. The Frost Tree Pokemon breathed in and out slowly while he was recharging. "You okay, Altaria?!" "Altaria...!" Altaria looked over to see that one of her wings had taken damage from Hyper Beam, leaving behind a very visible scratch. It looked like it had been more than just grazed as there was now a misbalance between both her wings. But, despite how much damage her wing had taken, Altaria could still get up, but slowly. Unfortunately for her, Abomasnow had just finished recharging as he was ready to continue. This time, he used Blizzard by rapidly spinning his arms around, whipping up a violent and powerful whirlwind of ice and snow. "Dodge it!" "Alt!" Altaria flapped her wings rapidly to escape. However, because one wing was off-balance, it wasn't as effective as her takeoff was very slow. She couldn't immediately blast off like she always does, but she was still able to ascend anyway. Unfortunately, since it wasn't fast enough, Blizzard had caught the Humming Pokemon, pulling her into the violent storm of ice and snow. "T-Taria!" "Ah! Altaria!" "Alta!" Altaria was now being hurled around in the Blizzard while being hit by snowballs repeatedly, taking constant super-effective damage. The Blizzard obviously couldn't last forever. And the way the attack finished off was by ascending higher up, smashing Altaria onto the ceiling while pelting her with the remaining snowballs. The Blizzard faded away as now Altaria's wings had both been frozen because of the attack. It didn't help that the ceiling was already frozen from earlier. Now, Altaria found it harder to fly with her wings frozen up as she fell to the ground. "Tari?!" "Aboma!" With Altaria more vulnerable than ever now, Abomasnow decided to finally approach the Humming Pokemon instead of just standing around and attacking from afar. The Frost Tree Pokemon was going to get up-close and personal with Ice Punch already showing in his hands. "Quick! Altaria! Use Dragon Pulse!" "Tari?" Altaria saw Abomasnow approaching at surprisingly swift speeds. And this time, he wasn't slipping on the ice. He seemed to have adapted to it in a short amount of time. Abomasnow raised his arms, going for a downwards strike. Seeing that this next attack might do Altaria in, the Humming Pokemon fired a short-burst Dragon Pulse instead of a fully charged one. And that short burst Dragon Pulse gave enough time to escape as it blew up in Abomasnow's face, forcing him back. Altaria quickly rolled her body on the frozen ground, using her fluffy wings as mobility. "Can you still fly?!" "Tari!" Altaria showed her wings off, revealing to Rainbow Dash that it would be nigh-impossible to fly at this point, unfortunately. "No need to worry. I've got an idea." Rainbow narrowed her eyes as the smoke was clearing with Abomasnow walking out of it. "Aboma!" "Since Disarming Voice won't work on you...We'll just use it to bring the entire cave down! Altaria! Disarming Voice at maximum volume!" "Alt..." That Altaria could do without having to move her body much. The Humming Pokemon was going for her loudest cry yet. One that would greatly tremble the cave. "Ariaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" With all of her lungs and throat being pushed to their limits, the Dragon-Flying-Type let out a high-pitched-full-blast charming cry with purple hearts and a pink wave emerging out of her mouth. Around 95 decibels were being exhibited right now as the cave was receiving a powerful tremor. A tremor strong enough to potentially destroy it. Vibrations moved around as large parts of the ceiling were already starting to come apart as some rubble already hit Abomasnow in the face while he approached Altaria. "Snow?" Abomasnow stopped walking for a moment as he noticed how the walls, ground and ceiling were all vibrating from Altaria's constant humming. Cracks immediately formed as larger rubble was now coming down from above. A giant piece of rock came crashing down, almost hitting Abomasnow, which prompted the Frost Tree Pokemon to back away. But backing away wasn't going to do anything against a crumbling cave. More large piles of rocks came crashing down, shattering the ice on the ground as well. Rainbow Dash took cover, knowing that she wasn't exempt from this as well. Abomasnow had been surrounded by large piles of rocks from both sides as he was now trapped. But it didn't end there, more rocks were falling around him, further surrounding and trapping the Frost Tree Pokemon. As for Altaria, even if she couldn't fly, she still had her feet as she stood up. She still didn't stop using Disarming Voice at all. Altaria would keep on going until it all comes down. And all of this damage and trembling was so powerful that it actually managed to reach the other caves, startling the rest of the guardian Pokemon. "Lucario?" Lucario looked around to see that the cave around it was coming apart. So did Blaziken and Steelix. And especially Spike, Salamence and Glalie as they paused their battle for a moment. "Glai?" "Sala?" "That's some pretty strong rumbling..." Spike said, but he actually didn't think too much of it. "Ah, who cares. Let's finish this with one large attack, Salamence! Use Hyper Beam!" "Sala!" Not minding all the rumbling, Salamence was about to use the ever-powerful and effective Hyper Beam while Glalie wasn't looking. "Lie?" But, of course, Glalie would notice and hear the sound of an attack being charged up. Especially one as loud as Hyper Beam. The Face Pokemon quickly put up Protect to shield it from a move that painful. It waited for the move to arrive and hopefully, it was soon since Protect doesn't stay up forever. Around 12 seconds passed and Glalie noticed that Hyper Beam wasn't coming out, which greatly confused the Face Pokemon. "Glalie?" "Just kidding! Flamethrower go!" Spike had actually juked Glalie out by making a bluff with Hyper Beam. Instead, Salamence was going for Flamethrower as he flew forward, blasting scorching flames out. "G-Glalie?!" Surprised that it had been juked out with a bluff, Glalie made a second attempt to put up Protect. However, using Protect repeatedly is not the wisest decision since it weakens when used in succession. Once Flamethrower made contact with Protect, the green barrier was starting to break from what Glalie had witnessed. As the Face Pokemon gasped, larger rubble started to fall from above from Altaria's humming. The large piles of rubble landed behind both Salamence and Glalie. But, they were so fixated on the battle to even pay attention or care. Protect had shattered when hit by Flamethrower as the move had finally failed. And with the shield destroyed, the scorching flames of the Fire-Type move consumed Glalie. "Glai!" Glalie was first engulfed by the fire and then afterwards, launched by the aftermath explosion of Flamethrower. The Face Pokemon rolled on the ground because of its circular appearance, crashing into the wall. "Now for the real deal! Hyper Beam, go!" "Salamence!" This time, they were really going to use Hyper Beam and potentially end his battle. Considering how much damage is done. However, before any of that could happen, Spike noticed that while the ceiling was coming down with all the large piles of rocks appearing, one of the rocks was actually about to fall right on Glalie who was just getting up. "Glalie!" Glalie quickly got up, unaware of what was coming. From right above it, a gigantic pile of rubble fell from the ceiling heading straight for the Face Pokemon. "Lie?" And Glalie ended up seeing the shadow of the rock, prompting the Ice-Type to look up. "Glalie?!" "Salamence! Fire at that rock!" "Mence!" Instead of firing at Glalie, Salamence fired at the gigantic rock instead, thinking about the safety of another Pokemon instead of winning the battle. With a mighty burst of energy, Hyper Beam came flying out, absolutely obliterating the rock into tiny little pieces. Salamence had saved Glalie. "Nice!" Spike nodded with a thumbs up. But now was not the time for that. All of the caves were coming apart at the moment. So it was best to wrap things up now. "Sorry, Glalie! Gonna have to make this one quick!" "Glalie understood as it thanked Spike and Salamence for saving it. However, that wouldn't mean it was going to go easy on them as the Face Pokemon was about to pull off one major attack. Its own beam. Ice Beam. "Flamethrower! Go!" "Sala..." "Gla..." At the same time, both Pokemon unleashed their beams at each other to continue and possibly end their battle as both beams entered a struggle against each other. All the while, Altaria had finally stopped humming, causing the caves to stop rumbling. Now everything was a mess because of that maximum volume Disarming Voice as Abomasnow was in a rock prison now. But it wasn't anything that he couldn't break out. He had his options. One of which was Hyper Beam. He was going to blast all the large rocks around into nothing with Hyper Beam as he opened his mouth. "Here comes Hyper Beam! Get ready to move in with Pluck, Altaria!" Rainbow Dash heard the sound of Hyper Beam charging up as Altaria stayed patient, waiting for the opportunity to strike. "Abomasnow!" Abomasnow released Hyper Beam, moving his body around to clear out all the rocks while directing the Normal-Type move. The rocks surrounding the Frost Tree Pokemon were being obliterated one by one in seconds all the while, Altaria kept her patience. Rainbow Dash tapped her hoof on the ground, waiting for just the right time to strike as she saw the remaining rocks being blown away by Hyper Beam. All the rocks around Abomasnow had been destroyed with Hyper Beam as Rainbow Dash and Altaria found an opening. "Now, go!" "Altaria!" Altaria ran on the ground, which she wasn't used to. But it had to do for now. And thankfully, Abomasnow had yet again tired himself out with Hyper Beam. So all he could do was stand there and accept the incoming attack from Altaria. And at the same time, Salamence was winning the move struggle as Flamethrower was overpowering Ice Beam, making Glalie's attack shorter and smaller while Salamence's was getting bigger and wider. "G-Glalie!?" "That's it! Push through Salamence!" "Salamence!" "Go, Altaria!" "Altaria!" In perfect unison, in two different caves from two different Pokemon of the same type, they had both landed their attacks successfully. Flamethrower blasted Glalie's entire face-body while Pluck stabbed Abomasnow in the stomach. Two super-effective moves had landed. And they were just strong enough to finally do what both trainers and their Pokemon were waiting and hoping for. As both Glalie and Abomasnow were launched back by either an explosion or a powerful beak attack, they both shared one common outcome once they hit the ground. They had both fainted. "Abomasnow..." "Glalie... "Yes!" Both Rainbow Dash and Spike jumped for joy in separate caves as they had emerged victorious. "You're the best Dragon ever!" "Altaria!" "Salamence!" And the same can be said for both Altaria and Salamence as the two of them flew over to their trainers, hugging them while pinning them to the ground. Finally, after so long, all trainers had finished their trials with Rainbow and Spike being the last to finish. But by far, they had the most synchronized finished Even if they didn't know that. Luckily, it had all been recorded, so eventually, they'll find out when they get back to the camp. But before that, Glalie and Abomasnow got back up, accepting defeat and receiving great respect for their opponents. They battled hard for sure. And a battle like that along with their trust in their Pokemon definitely earns them both their reward. The two Mega Stones. The Altarianite and Salamencite. Abomasnow grabbed the Salamencite and keystone while Glalie bashed its head on the amber to make it fall off the wall. It was a miracle that during all of these battles, none of the Mega Stones had been hit. But besides that, the two trainers had received their stones as a sign of their success over the trial and growth as trainers. Amazing growth too. "Alright! One step closer to winning the Equestria League!" Rainbow Dash got all giddy as she placed the stone in her bag. "Altaria!" "We're gonna be Dragon Masters in no time, Salamence!" Spike patted his partner on the back while holding the stone. "Salamence!" And with that, they both returned to the camp at the same time, exhausted, along with their Pokemon. When returning, Ash and everyone greeted them back. "That was amazing you four! You were in so much sync!" Pinkie Pie bellowed. "Axew!" "In sync?" Both Spike and Rainbow said. "Oh, right you didn't notice." Rarity shook her head. "Well, it turns out that you both finished your battles at the same time in perfect unison too. Very impressive." "Oh..." The duo nodded in understanding. "Great job winning those stones and clearing the trial!" Ash sat up. "Pikachu!" "A great job for sure." The lady gave a thumbs up. "I can officially say that this trial is completed and you have all succeeded greatly. Congratulations." "Thank you," said Twilight as she looked at the Absolite. "Even though you're not full-on campers in this camp, you have our respect either way. Isn't that, right all of you?" The lady suddenly turned to the guardian Pokemon who had all arrived at the scene. Lucario, Blaziken, Steelix, Abomasnow and Glalie all agreed. "I'll be sure to tell my boss about this." "So come on! Aren't you gonna Mega Evolve?! I wanna see them so badly right now!" Pinkie dashed around. "Ah...maybe later...We're tired..." Spike yawned. "I agree. Rest is needed at once," Rarity commented as she noticed how the sun was setting slowly. "And the Pokemon School is tomorrow after all." "Then let's hurry and catch the ship back home." Ash pointed south. "Pika-Pika." "Buh-bye!" The lady waved goodbye to them all as Ash and everyone went off. "Best Wishes!" "Best Wishes!" They all replied back as they had finally left the Mega Evolution camp. Finally, everypony, except for Ash and Pinkie Pie, had Mega Stones at their disposal. They've certainly grown as trainers. Just last year, they were all novices and were so perplexed by Pokemon while meeting new ones, constantly getting themselves into danger because of what these mystical and magical creatures were capable of. But now, they've come so far to the point where none of that matters anymore. They now have great power by their side and even greater friends as their partners as the journey continues. Chapter 377 End.
