//------------------------------// // Koala Trouble // Story: Equestria Girls: Season 3 // by sunsetshimmer_13 //------------------------------// “Thanks for giving me the tour around Canterlot Zoo,” Fluttershy says to Treehugger. Treehugger was just giving Fluttershy a tour around the newly built Canterlot City zoo. She thought that maybe Fluttershy would be interested in a small visit and perhaps even a tour around the place since she loves animals. “No problem Shy. I knew you would love this place, mostly by the auras," the calm and chill girl says. “You surely get me Treehugger,” she says. “I thought that maybe you would enjoy hanging out here to be one with the zoo. I volunteered to help out for a week here,” the mellow girl explained. “You could try to help me out with some stuff if you like.” “Sure. The people at the animal shelter said they should be fine without me so I don’t mind helping these cute wittle creatures,” Fluttershy smiles as she sees a bear in an exhibit beside her and rubs its cheeks. “Cool girl. We don’t have to do that much, just feed these guys and girls and make sure they’re healthy, maybe then we could settle down by meditating,” Treehugger says. The two girls went around the zoo to feed some of the animals. The whole entire zoo is a little bit big and it’s enough to fit in different animals and different places in the correct habitats. Fluttershy and Treehugger grabbed the special foods and fed them to the correct species. Fluttershy even used her power to talk to a few of them and persuaded them in case if they refused to eat. The girls would also take their temperature to see if they’re not heating up too much and made sure they were fresh and healthy right after they fed them. After doing what they needed to do, they only had one more animal to check on. “Ok. So this animal is like, not really a chill one so I was told,” Treehugger mentions. “Like it always misbehaves and sometimes can be intimidating. They just got this one for the zoo,” she shows Fluttershy the cage the animal to reveal a small koala. “Awwww... how can this cute little koala be intimidating?” Fluttershy says as she decides to take the koala out of its cage. “Uhhh... As much as I would love to spread love of positivity I don’t think it’s a good idea to take him out of the cage,” Treehugger advised. “But no sweet innocent koala would ever hurt anyone—AHHHH!!!!!” Fluttershy screamed as the koala jumped on her face and terrified her as a result. “Uh oh...” said Treehugger. “Okay little koala... um how about we meditate and look into... each other’s auras,” she suggested and gulped as the koala then looks at her. “Or not... anything that works with you as long as we get rid of all the—AHHH!!!” The koala jumps on the mellow girl’s face. “Nononono. Um... bad koala,” Fluttershy carefully grabs the koala to try and get it off Treehugger’s face. The koala lets go and the shy and soft spoken girl accidentally slips and falls and the koala escapes. The two girls get up on their feet and dust themselves off as there are koala scratches on their faces. “Oh no... we have to get the koala back in its cage or we’re gonna be in trouble,” she says. “They might even kick us out of the zoo. So uncool.” “We have to get our koala back!!!” Fluttershy said as she freaked out at the mention of getting kicked out from the Canterlot zoo. “Come on,” she says as she grabs Treehugger’s hand and takes her with her. Fluttershy and Treehugger were running around the town to find the koala. They were lucky to find the creature 7 or 8 times but each time they tried to catch it success was snatched away from their grasp. They tried just about everything to catch it. They tried offering a rub or massage, take it by surprise, heck even Fluttershy tried to talk to it 2 or 3 times, but all of their options proved to be a failure. The koala just goes back and forth, left and right, even went through under people’s legs and jump scared some of them. After a while they were taking a breather and resting up before attempting to catch the koala again. “I’m not one for negativity vibe but I’ll say it..... that koala is, like, relentless,” said Treehugger. She pulls out her phone to see a message from her boss. “Oh no... my boss is gonna check up on me at the zoo... In half an hour,” she says. “Now we’ll never catch him,” an upset Fluttershy says as she puts her hands on her cheeks as she leans. “Don’t worry Fluttershy. Sure one leaf might’ve fallen off but we still got plenty more in life,” said Treehugger. “Leaves?” Fluttershy took a moment to process it and a light bulb went off in her head. “That’s it!” she exclaimed. “What’s it Shy?” Treehugger asked. “Treehugger we’re gonna need a leaf,” she says. Minutes later the koala appeared once again. It was smelling something in its path and the koala decides to follow the smell. It found a leaf that’s on a twig and it’s on the ground for some reason. It smells the leaf on a twig and then decides to try and eat it until it moves away from the koala. Little does the creature know is that the leaf on the twig is tied by a really small string that leads to where Fluttershy and Treehugger are at. Treehugger pulls on the string some more while the koala follows it. “It’s working,” Fluttershy whispers as the duo are walking back to the Canterlot zoo while the mellow hippie girl is pulling on the sting to have the creature follow them. After a little bit the duo made it back to the zoo with the koala on their trail. It would’ve saw them by now but it’s currently too distracted by the leaf. “How much time do we have left?” she asked quietly. “About 2 or 3 more minutes till she gets back,” she answered. The two girls quickly went inside as Treehugger gave the string to Fluttershy so she can get the koala’s cage. The shy girl pulls on the string so the koala gets closer to the entrance. As it does it grabs the leaf on the trig so it can finally eat and savior its snack. As soon as the koala take its first bite, Treehugger quickly and carefully grabbed the koala and put it in its cage. “Phew, looks like we did it Shy,” Treehugger says. “And just in time too,” Fluttershy replied as the duo saw someone entered. “Hello girls. I hope there weren’t any problems caused,” the nice lady says. “Nah girl... er I mean ma’am. Everything is pretty handled here, not one hint of negativity in sight,” said Treehugger. “Good job. Oh I might have to take this little koala here, turns out we had some sort of a mix up with this,” the lady says as she picks up the cage. “I’m gonna take this so I can work things out.” “Right. Want us to stay and help around some more?” Treehugger asked. “Won’t be necessary. You and your friend are dismissed for now.” “Phew. To be honest I had enough of negativity from the koala,” she whispered to Fluttershy as they both giggled at that comment.
