Princess Twilight Sparkle had been crowned ruler of Equestria and had married her four marefriends Princess Luna, Trixie Lulamoon, Moon Dancer and Sunset Shimmer not long after with them having moved into the Canterlot Palace. It was tough being away from her five best friends but they were making it work and she was doing her best to adjust to her new life of both ruling Equestria but living with her wives:
Princess Luna who they had grown closer starting with that first Nightmare Night together and was helping her with the day to day running of the kingdom with her own experience.
Trixie Lulamoon who had grown from being the arrogant braggart who had set to challenge and defeat her. Okay she still had arrogance and loved to brag of her own skills but she did have a softer and nicer side to her which Twilight helped bring out.
Moon Dancer whose friendship she had rebuilt after doing what she could to make up for carelessly and without word leaving after not attending the party that she had set up. Moon Dancer had actually taken her aside and admitted that she had been in love with Twilight for the longest time and had wanted to confess to her at the party.
Sunset Shimmer who had been an arrogant rival when Twilight had entered the Celestia Academy and became Princess Celestia’s personal student which had been previously been taken by Sunset herself. After an incident involving demons and stealing Twilight’s Element of Magic crown; Sunset had been remorseful and Twilight had shown her the Magic of Friendship with the help of her friends.
They had confessed their feelings to Twilight around the same time and it was overwhelming for her at the time so they allowed her space to process it all. After some thinking time and talking it over, they agreed to all date Twilight in a polyamorous relationship which they managed to get used to.
Early that morning Twilight opened her eyes as she was resting on the chest of Luna who held her in her larger wings while Twilight’s limbs and chest were being hugged by the other three. Luna used her magic to help Twilight escape the grips of the three unicorns who didn’t like to be separated from Twilight while sleeping as it had become a daily occurrence. Twilight smiled as she watched her sleeping wives and told Luna “the duties of having to get up early to raise the Sun, having to get away from relaxing sleep and sweet dreams.”
“I know you do when I get the chance to join you in your dreams as one of the mares of your dreams.” Luna told Twilight kissing her cheek as Twilight giggled in return. The two co-rulers went to work lowering the Moon and then raising the Sun. They went to their thrones to get to work on the day’s royal duties.
About an hour or so, then came in were Moon Dancer, Trixie and Sunset against the protesting Royal Guard. “Coming through, Princess Twilight’s great and powerful consort coming through!” Trixie said being particularly pushy against the guards in her way.
“Do you have to do this? I planned the schedule out carefully to allow plenty of time with each of you!” Twilight said telekinetically showing them the schedule with a sigh, truth be told it was tempting to give in and to just forget her duties and spend time with them. Twilight was open mouthed as Trixie telekinetically ripped up the schedule in half.
“Sunset and I the Great and Powerful Trixie; have decided that it’s not fair for Princess Luna to get all the time with Twilight as they run Equestria together, especially since she is the last one who should be getting all the time with Twilight.” Trixie explained to which Luna batted an eye.
“Why pray tell do you think that I should be the last one to get getting this much time with Twilight, may I enquire?” Luna asked with an edge to her voice and Twilight was worried about a fight breaking out. Usually they got along but couldn’t help but be petty and childish when it came to spending more time with their wife.
“The fact that you will both outlive all three of us, take five hundred years and you will be having Twilight all to yourself.........” Sunset explained and they noticed in horror that Twilight looked anxious and remembered that Twilight didn’t like the topic of the fact that being an immortal Alicorn she would outlive most of her lives by a large margin. “Sorry Twi, sorry for being so foolish about this......” Sunset said as they all came to comfort her and she enveloped them into a hug.
“I want to say that I thought this was a terrible idea and wanted to leave you to your duties for the time but they insisted on their logic and plans so I only came along trying to see if I could put a stop to their hare brained idea but alas........” Moon Dancer muttered shaking her head as she just relaxed in Twilight’s wings.
She let them go and said “its fine but I would appreciate it please if you don’t barge in unannounced just to spend more time.” They nodded and Twilight told them “good, I would hate to have to punish you for intruding on royal business like if I was in an important meeting.......”
“Not like you could punish us too much...” Trixie scoffed and Sunset giggled but Twilight let go as she looked at them sternly.
“I am serious Trixie, I love you all but don’t think I won’t put the book down hard if I have to.” Twilight said glaring as Trixie and Sunset laughed, Luna and Moon Dancer stepped back to watch wishing that they had snacks to eat for this show.
“Come on Twilight, you’re you and please don’t try threatening us when you know that they are empty.” Sunset said laughing. She and Trixie continued laughing as Twilight batted an eye and asked “so what are you going to do? Set up a couch here and make us sleep there for the night tonight?”
That night on a large couch set up in the throne room Sunset and Trixie were laying on opposite sides, “Why did we think that pushing our luck so far was a good idea....... Hey........” Sunset grunted only to glare at Trixie as she was tugging the quilt away. “You have enough on your side so leave me with mine!” Sunset said trying to pull her share of the quilt back as Moon Dancer entered.
“Twilight thinks that you got the message and learned your lesson so come on through.” Moon Dancer told them as they raced past her to get to the bedroom with Moon Dancer shaking her head.
