It was an average day in Ponyville (as average as Ponyville ever gets, anyway) and Pinkie Pie was pronking down the cobblestone road. Today was unlike the usual in that she was going to help Berry Punch out with her newest flavours, both alcoholic and not.

Getting to Berry's Brewery, she knocked on the door rhythmically.

"Coming! Just a sec!" she heard from inside. Shortly thereafter, the door was opened to reveal Berry Punch herself. Hereyes widened as she said, "Oh! Pinkie! C'mon in! Let's get started."

Hopping inside, Pinkie closed the door behind her with her tail.

In the cellar of the brewery, Pinkie grabbed a stein that was conveniently nearby with one hand.

Berry started at the first container, among many huge fermenting kegs that held about twenty gallons each. Celestia forbid that any of them, should break! "This here's strawberry flavoured." 

Pinkie moved the stein under the spigot of the keg and filled the stein about a third of the way. Taking a gulp of the red fluid, sure enough, it tasted like strawberry, with some bubbles to it. Pinkie smacked her lips a few times. "Getting there. It isn't quite right yet, but it's getting close. I'd say... another week or so and it should be ready for serving."

Berry, having tasted a bit at the same time, agreed. "I thought so too. Ponies are definitely going to enjoy this flavour, though."

Moving on to the next keg, she said, "Alright. This one I call ABC merlot. It's apples, blueberries and currants.(1)"

Pinkie got a third of the stein filled. Berry said, "Careful; it'll seem to disappear right quick."

Taking a gulp, Pinkie felt like she was hit in the face with an explosion of flavour. "Yee-hee-owza!" she said, finishing off the drink. "This one's ready for sure! You've outdone yourself with this one, Berry." she added.

Moving on to the next one, Berry said, "This one's experimental. It was made with Spectrum berries. Take it slow; It'll knock ya flat if yer not careful."

Filling her stein about a third of the way, Pinkie took a careful sip. "Hmm. Not bad!" she said, as she started to finish it off. Suddenly, her eyes widened as she felt a explosion of sorts go off inside of her. She started to glow in various colours as her coat brightened by several shades.

At that moment she began to change within. She gained the power to bounce off of just about anything, various candy-based power, nearly boundless energy...

That day she became Annoying Mare! From then to n, she would tight for truth, Justice and - because it's so darn fun!

In fact, seeral of the more intelligent/lesser known villains changed their names to try to hide from her.

But worry not, folks. our heroine here is no fool. Boisterous and overbearing at times, sure, but stupid she is not. And whether they like it or not, there are a few villains who are going to get their dose of justice/annoyance. What'll happen next? Well, we'll just have to see, won't we?
