//------------------------------// // Chapter 1 (Probably the only one, this is ironic btw) // Story: The Day I was Accused as an Impostor // by Ika Musume //------------------------------// Twilight Sparkle was squealing with excitement in her bedroom. She had invited over some of her friends for a sleepover! A few of her friends were traveling, but she was able to invite her friends Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, and her sister-in-law; Cadence. She was a little hesitant to invite Rarity and Applejack to the same sleepover because they had fought at one in the past, but she knew that they had grown past it. The time for the sleepover was almost there! Twilight had asked her dragon friend, Spike, to set up some sleeping arrangements. There were 5 futons and 5 sleeping bags, each in the color of one of the friend's coat: white, yellow, purple, orange, and pink. About as soon as Twilight had finished inspecting Spike's job for quality, she heard a knock at the door. She quickly ran to her castle's entry hall and pulled the door open. At the door she saw all of the friends she had invited. She couldn't help but beam. "Come on in! My bedroom is all set up for us." All of the friends had settled onto their futons and began to chatter amongst themselves. "So," said Fluttershy, "I heard that baby Flurry Heart (Cadence's baby) has been causing all kinds of adorable mischief lately!" "What?" Cadence replied. Everyone was giggling except for the pink princess, who after a moment of silence said, "Oh yes, she usually keeps me up all night. Now it's you pony's turn!" The room erupted into laughter. "Oh Cadence, you are such a riot!" added Rarity. "I'd say!" Applejack chimed in. "Stop laughing!" Everypony turned to hear the source of the controversial comment. It was spurted out by Spike. "I just received a report from the Royal Guard. A changeling has infiltrated this castle! There is an impostor among us!" At this point, everyone was silent. "A- a changeling?" Twilight said this with a sincere look of concern on her face. "I thought the changelings were all nice now. Why would one be sneaking into the castle?" "I had heard that there are still some rotten changelings that won't comply to Thorax's new rules. Talk about a bad apple tryin' to spoil the whole bunch!" Applejack seemed indignant. "W-well," Fluttershy stammered, "when I asked Cadence about Flurry Heart earlier, she seemed to forget about who that was for a second. It was kinda s-sus." Everypony turned to face the shocked Princess Cadence. "W-well I'd never!" Cadence raised her voice. Applejack seemed to know all about changelings, if anyone is sus, it's her!" Twilight was sweating. How could this whole sleepover go terribly wrong? She knew there was only one solution. "Enough," Twilight shouted out loud. "There has got to be a better way. We will simply have to come to a consensus and eject the changeling from this window!" She aimed her hoof at a window that seemed to drop off 60 feet. Everyone was aghast. "I agree with Fluttershy," said Applejack. "Cadence has been acting awful sus." "Dito!" Rarity chimed in as well. "Do you all really think so?" Twilight was welling up with tears. Everyone but Cadence nodded solemnly, while Cadence herself was taking heaving breaths. "I'm sorry Cadence, or whoever you are. This is how it has to be." Twilight then hoisted up the Pink alicorn form with magic and jettisoned them out the window at a velocity where almost certain doom would follow. At that moment, Spike walked in. "False alarm, everypony," he said casually. "There was no changeling." The friends looked at each other in horror. What had they done? If Cadence was still alive, she would never let them hear the end of it. The friends had learned possibly one of the most valuable friendship lessons that day. Sometimes, people will act a little sus. Sometimes, you will think that person is an impostor. The key is to never overreact. The friends let things escalate very quickly, and it led to them hurling Cadence out of a window! The friends decided from that day on, they would think before they acted.
