I Now Pronounce You Boy and Filly

"Are we there yet?"

"Nope."

"Now?"

"Eenope."

"Whyyyyyyyy?"

"You wanted to pick this place, Kobe. I wanted us to do this at the playground, but nooooooo, we can't have you 'get caught' and be 'teased'!"

"I wanted it to be in-suspicious."

"Inconspicuous, silly. And wearing a crooked rainbow-colored tie with a normal tee is anything but."

"I couldn't find a human boy-sized tux, okay?!"

Young children Forgetful and Kobe trudged through a tranquil forest in search of "the right place".

There, the two have a mild bicker session, as most children and couples do, about where to go.

"Can't you just flap up there and take a look?" Kobe pouted.

"I can't fly these flimsy wings yet, Kobe."

Forgetful hopped off the small boulder and fluttered her smol wings into Kobe's face, tickling his cheeks.

"See?" she squeaked.

"Okay, okay, I see!" Kobe giggled, fanning the wings away. "We'll keep going then."

"Okies, let's go-"

Kobe wrapped his arms around the filly and struggled to lift her up high enough like holding a huge cat.

"What are you doing?" Forgetful asked.

"Trying to carry you there, urgh!" he grunted, barely keeping the tip of her hooves off the ground. "It's what we do, right?"

"Hee, I suppose so."

Kobe waddled on down the path through the glowing woods with his heavy gal as the sun slowly sets. The trail led them to a lone big oak tree in the middle of a wide open field.

"Ah," he sighed, resting against the great oak. "The perfect spot."

"Yeppers." Forgetful nodded. "So, uh......did you bring them?"

"Oh, I forgot."

Kobe reached into his pocket and unveiled two ring pops, one red and one blue.

"Omigosh, strawberry?!" she squeed, stomping happily. "I LOVE strawberry, you remembered!"

"You're my bestie, I know what my bestie likes."

"Awwww! Okay, how does it go...?"

Butterflies flapped within the boy's belly as he lifted his lady's hoof. "D-Do you take me as your husband?"

"Hee, of course! I do. Do...do you take me as your wife?"

"I do."

"Yay!"

"Uh......I now 'pro-nouns' you my wife." he muttered, putting the treat ring around the filly's smol hoof.

"And I now 'pronouns' you my horseband." Forgetful giggled, wiggling a ring around Kobe's wrist. "My sweet hooman."

"Mr. Memory......that sounds like a cool superhero name. I like it!"

"Kobe, I think I'm the one who keeps your last name-"

"MR. MEMORYYYYYYYYY!!!"

"Hee, you're so goofy! I think we..."

"Think we..."

"I think we should......kiss now."

Kobe's tie twirled off his shirt at the speed of light.

"R-Really, now? Are you sure?"

"That's usually how it works, I think, yeah."

"O-Okies."

The nervous boy fastened his crooked tie til it was MORE crooked and shuffled toward the sheepish filly.

Lips were puckered hard, their eyes slammed shut. They closed the distance between them as Forgetful stands on her hind hooves to Kobe's eye level, leaning in to give an ever so gentle...

~smooch~

"Ewwwwwwwwwwww!" they laughed.

The children hopped around in the field, wiping their lips and giggling at the brief cootie exchange before sitting together underneath the tree.

"Strawberry!" Kobe gagged playfully.

"Blueberry!" Forgetful squeed. "I'm so happy!"

"So am I!"

"Can I tell you a secret?"

"What's that?"

Forgetful leans over and whispered in his ear. "I wuv you..."

"Heh, I wuv you too."

"Good. Now keep that hush hush for me!"

"Will do, sweetheart."

"And Kobe?"

"Mmhmm?"

"You think we'll always be together?"

Kobe pulls the pony into a soft tender hug, staring off into the sunset with a smile.

"I'm positive."

And they lived happily ever after.
