My Little Gumball: Friendship is Amazing

by HeartlessNobody1992

The Tickets

"No. Nope. Nope. Nuh uh."

Honestly, Gumball could do without the young dragon's "keen eyed inspections" on the apples. The same apples that he spent most of the day picking off the many apple trees from Applejack's family farm, with Twilight and Applejack, only for the baby dragon to throw each one of them out. Apparently, Twilight decided to go over and help Applejack with her chores at the Apple Family's farm. However, she very well couldn't do it alone without the help of two 'strong, tough guys' to aid her and her friend.

And just like that, both Gumball and Spike fell for such an obvious trick, although Spike didn't mind all that much. 'Oh well, it is what it is...' was one of the earlier thoughts that the young blue cat had. But even if he tried, he couldn't leave them hanging. He made a 'promise' (or to be technically honest, a deal) to Twilight and the other five ponies. As long as he helped Twilight and the others, they'll owe him favors in return in the near future, no questions asked.

Well, maybe a few...

And of course, since he's stuck in the show, he might as well as try to befriend the pastel colored equines. At first, when he befriended Twilight, she kinda reminded Gumball of Anais, a bit of a know-it all and a bit bossy, however, Anais wasn't THAT much of a bookworm. Or an equine, for that matter. But despite that, she was pretty much starting to be a bit friendly since she and Spike started to stay in town as the Librarian and assistant for the town's only library. That's also a tree. Neat.

As for Spike, they hit it off a lot quickly and soon became instant bros. Both found common grounds with their love of comics and cracking jokes. Wow, who would've thought that Gumball would've befriended a dragon or in this case, a baby dragon in his entire life? The closest giant reptile he tried to befriend was his school bully, Tina Rex. Man, he wished Darwin was here with him, he would've gone out of his mind (and gills, mind you).

"Thank ya kindly, Twilight, for helpin' me out. And the same goes fer ya as well, Gumball." Applejack said to the rest of the group.

The blue cat could only nod at the orange pony's gracious thanks, for he was too exhausted, gasping for air to utter a single word. It seemed that no matter what world he resided in, chores would always be his greatest enemy (besides homework, of course).

"Ah bet Big Macintosh that I could get all these Golden Delicious in the barn by lunchtime." Applejack stated as she gave a short hop while carrying two baskets filled with apples with mirthful glee. "If Ah will, he'll walk down Syrup Street wearing Granny's girdles." She says as she begins to chuckle to herself.

'Wait, seriously?!' Gumball thought in exasperation. 'I've wasted nearly half the day, helping picking apples, all for some stupid bet?!' then he stops for a moment to think about it some more, then nods to himself. 'Yeah, to be fair, I would love to see such a sight myself.'

"No problem, Applejack," Twilight said to her friend, "I'm glad the goal is lunchtime. All this hard work is making me hungry."

"I know, right!?" Spike exclaimed as he tossed an apple away, accidentally hitting Twilight on her head, making her look up at him with an annoyed glare as he gives her a sheepish smile. Gumball snickered to himself at the sight, to which Twilight just sighed in just a bit of ire.

"Ooh wee, Spike; you've been lounging on my back all morning while we worked." Twilight stated to the baby dragon, in mild annoyance, to which Gumball just nodded at the violet unicorn's words.

"Yeah..." Gumball began to say in a tired voice. "Exactly what she said."

"Exactly!" Spike confirmed as he looked at Twilight. "You two - er, three - worked SO long, I missed snack time!"

Before Twilight could speak, a loud rumbling noise could be heard, realizing that the sound came from her own stomach, to which Twilight chuckled sheepishly, much to Gumball's "cleverly hidden" chagrin. That was, until everyone heard his stomach rumbling a bit. Which led the others to look at him, and he started blushing in mild embarrassment.

"What!" Gumball spoke up, as he set down the baskets filled with apples, tiredly. "It's not my fault that I'm hungry. Besides, I think that it might do us good to have a snack break, right?"

"Well then," Twilight finally spoke up, "I guess it's time to get some food."

"Nope!" Spike said, as he continued to 'inspect' the apples once more, as he began to toss out more apples from Twilight's basket, until; "A-HA!" Spike pulled out a big, delicious looking apple from the basket showing both Twilight and Gumball, who both were looking at it in hunger, with the former licking her lips.

"Oh, Spike...it's delicious." Twilight said as she looked at the delicious apple.

"Spike, my dude..." Gumball said, as he began to move his paw towards the apple, hoping to prepare to feast on it. Well, that was the plan, until Spike quickly began to chow on the apple and ate it in one go, to which it disgusted the purple unicorn as she stared at the baby dragon devouring the tasty looking fruit.

"Spike!" Twilight exclaimed towards the baby dragon, who could only smile at the unicorn in a sheepish way.

Gumball looked on as he saw his new best buddy had eaten what could've been the most 'deliciously tasty looking apple in all of existence', which made the blue cat fall to his hands and knees.

'NOOOOOOOOO! Spike, you traitor, why?! Why did you eat something so delicious?!' Gumball thought to himself, trying to hold back the tears that were threatening to fall. 'You knew how much I wanted that apple!'

Suddenly, Spike put both of his claws in front of his mouth, looking as if he was about to barf at any moment which caught the attention (and worry) of both Twilight and Gumball.

'On second thought...' Gumball thought to himself, as he quickly changed his attitude, looking at Spike, trying to not become sick at the sight. 'I've changed my mind.'

And just as Gumball thought that Spike was going to blow out some chunks, the baby dragon suddenly belched out a green flame, which then turned into a parchment that landed into the baby dragon's claws with the others looked on in a bit of awe, especially Gumball. Granted, he already saw that Spike had a talent in 'upchucking' letters from his stomach in a small green balls of fire from the first episode but still!

'As long as I won't end up being caught on fire from Spike puking out random scrolls, all will be 'gucci', or whatever Banana Joe told me once.' Gumball thought to himself.

Recognizing the scrolled up parchment and the magical aura that it radiates, Twilight finally spoke up. "It's a letter from Princess Celestia." And that response made the young blue cat perk up a bit.

"Wait, the princess had sent us a letter?" Gumball asked, with Twilight answering him with just a silent, yet firm nod. Then Gumball looked over to see Spike opening the parchment and cleared his throat before he began to read the letter with the others listening closely.

"Hear ye, hear ye! Her grand royal highness, Princess Celestia of Equestria, is pleased to announce the Grand Galloping Gala, is to be held in the magnificent capital city of Canterlot, on the twenty-first day of...uuuhh, yadda-yadda-yadda...cordially extends an invitation to Twilight Sparkle, plus one guest."

And those words brought nothing but excitement to the two mares as Twilight gasps in excitement as she and Applejack excitedly shout out loud unanimously; "The Grand Galloping Gala!" as they began jumping up and down in a childish sense of jubilee, much to Spike's sudden annoyed look.

Now, as for Gumball, seeing is how he obviously has no knowledge of the world of Equestria, (plus, being an ever curious cat) decided to voice a question to Twilight. "Uhhhh...what's a Grand Galloping Gala? Is it like some horse racing derby thing?"

Before Twilight could answer Gumball's question, Spike suddenly belched out another ball of fire, which soon changed into two golden tickets as he quickly grabbed them. "Look! Two tickets!" Spike said as he held them out for Twilight to see.

"Wow, great!" the purple unicorn excitedly exclaimed. "I've never been to the gala! Have you, Spike?"

The baby dragon only looked up at Twilight with a bit of an annoyed expression on his face. "No; and I plan on keeping it that way. I don't want any of that girly, frilly, fru-fru nonsense."

"Okay, can anybody here PLEASE, tell me what this Grand Galloping Gala thing is?" Gumball spoke up once more, hoping for someone to answer his question.

Twilight looked over at Gumball, with a small, yet excited grin on her muzzle. "Well to put a blunt summary of a description, the Grand Galloping Gala is a party for a lot of nobles and some royalties."

'Ah, a party for rich, uppity kinds of people.' Gumball thought to himself. 'Yeah, I'd rather stay in Ponyville and not risk going to Canterlot to deal with snobby, entitled horses all night long.'.

Twilight then looked down once more to talk to Spike; smiling a bit. "And come on, Spike. A dance would be nice."

"Nice!?" Applejack suddenly shouted in excitement, which caused Twilight and Gumball to jump in a bit of shock. "It's a heap lot more than nice! I'd love to go. Landsakes...if I had an apple stand set up, ponies will be tryin' our tasty apples until the cow's come home Do you have any idea how business ah could drum up for Sweet Apple Acres? With all that money, we could do a heap of fixin' up 'round here...we could replace that saggy ol' roof! And Big Macintosh could replace that saggy old plow. And Granny Smith...could replace that saggy, ol' hip!" she stated excitedly, as the smile on her muzzle began to get bigger and bigger, as she looked up at the sky imagining the chance to make money at the gala to help fix up the farm.

"Wow...Ah'd give my left hind leg to get to go to that gala." Applejack said as her imagination was working nonstop within her mind.

"Oh...well in that case;" Twilight spoke up to her friend as Gumball stood by her, listening to what Applejack had to say. "would you like to go to..."

"WHOA!" a familiar screech was made up above, as both Twilight and Applejack looked up long enough to see Rainbow Dash falling from the sky and landing on top of her friends, with many apples falling from the trees and onto the ground as the dust from the ground rose up, blanketing the three friends in a giant cloud of dust. All the while, both Gumball and Spike looked on, both showing some pity for the three ponies.

"Ooooh, that had to hurt..." Gumball muttered to his baby dragon friend, who could just nod at his statement.

As the dust subsided to see Rainbow Dash on top of both Twilight and Applejack, whom the both were laying on the ground, while the prism maned pony only sitting trying to get her bearings, before she started to speak to her friends.

"Are we talking about the Grand Galloping Gala?!" she asked, excitedly, before she could more of a chance to speak, Applejack only looked up at the cyan pegasus, with an annoyed look, all the while talking the same annoyed sounding tone in her voice.

"Rainbow Dash, you told me that you were too busy helping me harvest apples!" the country accented mare said, as she got up from the ground, all the while glaring at her friend who clearly lied about being 'too busy' to help a couple of friends out, to which, Gumball started to share his thoughts as well.

"Yeah, Twilight had to ask both me and Spike to come help out a bit on Applejack's farm, while YOU were probably 'working' so hard on slacking off. I could've had enough time to read the next issue of the 'Power-Ponies back at the library!" the blue cat spoke in an annoyed tone, which Spike followed up with a "Yeah!" from the #1 assistant from the purple unicorn, who said equine looked at Gumball with a mild deadpan look on her face.

"It's pronounced 'Spike and I', Gumball." Twilight exclaimed, trying to help her new friend some proper speech patterns, much to Gumball's annoyed sighing from having to be lectured yet again by the purple book horse. If he wanted someone to teach him some English sentence phrasing, he would've gone to summer school. But guess what? He didn't.

Applejack, all the while ignoring what Gumball had to say, continued to talk with Rainbow Dash. "What were you busy doin'? Spyin'?" she said as she squinted her eyes a bit at Rainbow, who then turned around to look away from the country mare.

"No, I was busy...napping." Only her friends and even Gumball could only sigh in annoyance about Rainbow's recent habit. "And I just 'happened' to hear that you have an extra ticket?" She asked Twilight, as she was floating a bit in the air, upside-down, smiling at her friend.

"Yeah, but-" Twilight answered, only for Rainbow Dash to quickly speak over the violet unicorn before she could speak more.

"YES! This is SO awesome!" the prism-maned pegasus exclaimed excitedly. "The Wonderbolts preform at the Grand Galloping Gala every year. I can see it now..." as she began to let her imagination soar.

'Great, we got ourselves a winged horse with Daydreamitus...' Gumball thought to himself, rolling his eyes on what the cyan pony was thinking of.

Rainbow began speaking once more, leading Gumball out of his own thoughts. "...Everyone would be watching the sky. Their eyes riveted on the Wonderbolts but then...Rainbow Dash!" she started explaining excitedly, as everyone continues to listen about her fantasy. "I would draw their attention with my Super Speed Strut!"

'Great, she's now giving names to some of her 'techniques'... Gumball thought to himself. 'Why not go the long run and name one the "Mega Mare Moonwalk"!' he thought for a moment, then shuddered. 'Yeah...best not to give her any ideas naming her flying skills.'

"Then, I would mesmerize them with my Fantastic Filly Flash!" Rainbow got more excited as she was calling out different flying skills that she could do, only for Gumball to subtly shake his head just hearing some dumb, equine related move-sets.

"And for my grand finale..." Rainbow spoke once more. "The Buccaneer Blaze!" she excitedly shouted the last name for her flying move, which, surprisingly, kinda impressed Gumball, seeing is that it doesn't have THAT much of a horse themed wordplay in the name but he wasn't gonna say a word about that. "The ponies would go wild! The Wonderbolts would insist that my signature moves would be incorporated into their routine, and then...welcome me as their newest member." Rainbow finished explaining her plans to everyone.

"Don't you see, Twilight? This could be my one chance to show my stuff. You've gotta take me!" Rainbow stated, as she floating in front of her friend's muzzle, to which Applejack pulled her away by grabbing Rainbow's tail with her tail, and set Rainbow Dash next to her.

"Dow hol' dup a pody pickin' minud here!" the rustic Earth pony said, despite having Rainbow's tail inside her mouth, then spat said tail out of her mouth. "Ah asked for that ticket first."

"So?" Rainbow looked at her friend, not deterred by what Applejack had gotten into her face, looking at her. "It doesn't mean that you own it."

"Oh yeah?" Applejack began to rebuttal back at Rainbow, "Well, Ah challenge you to a Hoof Wrestle. Winner gets the ticket."

Then both ponies moved towards a tree sump to bgin their 'Hoof Wrestling' match, while everyone was just shocked at how fast things escalated.

'Geez, and all for just one ticket, too!' Gumball thought to himself. 'I mean, if I had one, I'd probably sell it to someone else just to make some money.'

As both Applejack and Rainbow was busy with their 'squabble', Twilight got between the two in an instant. "Girls! These are 'MY' tickets. I'll decide who gets it, thank you very much."

'Oh no, Twilight...' Gumball thought to himself. 'You shouldn't have said that...'

"Whoever has the much better reason to go, should get the ticket. Don't you think?" Twilight asked both of her friends, who was listening to what she had to say, all the while, Gumball was fearing for Twilight's brand new upcoming dilemma that she created unintentionally.

'Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand, she screwed up. Good job, Twilight.' Gumball thought to himself, as well as both his hands in his face, in hindsight, he was now ready to prepare for what today would bring to him, Twilight, Spike, their friends and the residents of Ponyville.

"Drummin' up business for the farm." Applejack explained honestly.

"A chance to audition for the Wonderbolts!" Rainbow Dash also explained honestly.

"Money to fix Granny's hip!" Applejack said, to one up her previous statement, and hopefully get the ticket before Rainbow does.

"Living the dream!" Rainbow said with equal passion as her last statement., which lead Twilight a bit torn on who exactly to chose between the two. I mean, they both have good reasons...much to Gumball's clear annoyed expression. Before Twilight, could speak, Gumball decided to intervene a bit.

"Yeah, um, Twilight. I think that we might have to finish up at the Library to organize the book catalogues like you were wanting to do. Ain't that right, Spike?" the blue young cat asked his dragon friend, to which he nodded in response. Hopefully, this would give Twilight a chance to think it over, as well as give her a helpful tip on how to deal with her current conundrum. Luckily enough, Twilight had agreed to head back and promised her two friends that she'll think about who will get the ticket.

And while as Gumball, Twilight and Spike was leaving the farm, the blue cat gave the two mares a farewell and also stated, "Don't call us, we'll call you!", which led both Rainbow Dash and Applejack to think of new ways (and do some favors for Twilight) to get that ticket.

TIMESKIP

Later That Day:

Now, back home, Gumball had dealt with many stressful days that came and went, however, during nearly his time in Ponyville, is a lot more chaotic and stressful for the young, blue cat boy.

Earlier, he was doing his best to help Twilight to make sure to give the tickets back to Princess Celestia, warning her that having those tickets might make their friends turn it into a contest on who'll be the one to go to the gala and make some problems later on. Which Twilight seemed to be reluctant to do so, seeing is that she promised her friends that she'd think it over.

That was until Pinkie Pie showed up as she overheard their discussion, and stated that she wanted to go just to experience the party and make it more better in hopes to have everyone or every-pony enjoying themselves. Which made another one of her friends that had a reason to go.

Then later, Rarity, who heard that Twilight had an extra ticket and clarified that she would love to go to the gala, to show off her clothing line of the aristocrats of Canterlot, all the while mingle with them and in hopes of meeting her dream guy; which is to be the Prince of Canterlot himself, Prince Blueblood. Gumball didn't know why he suddenly hated the sound of the name of the guy but he did.

Oh, and he saw Spike looked a bit uncomfortable when she speaks about another guy in that tone of voice. I mean, it was obvious that he knew Spike had a crush on Rarity, however, being the bro that he is, he can't help but wish Spike good luck with such an endeavor. I mean, if Gumball can attract his crush Penny, then so can Spike with Rarity.

The last of Twilight's friends to know was of course, Fluttershy, who came to know of the tickets, thank to her pet bunny/demon spawn, Angel Bunny. Gumball couldn't help but just wonder why that rabbit seemed to hate his guts for some reason. He remembered the last time Gumball went to Fluttershy's cottage to help her with the animals that she has in her home.

He figured that Fluttershy loved animals, however, even he didn't know that she practically was gonna help her deal with an entire zoo! Regardless, he went of his way to help her feed the animals. And one of them being Angel Bunny. The first time Gumball willingly went out of his way to feed the rabbit, the little demon all the time laid traps and pulled tricks upon the 'somewhat innocent' boy.

Fluttershy stated that he only acts out like that is because he's either jealous or doesn't trust new people that hangs around with Fluttershy. And boy, she wasn't kidding.

Anyways, when Twilight asked on what Fluttershy would do if she were to go, she stated that she wanted to see the Royal Garden, as well as the exotic animals that she wanted to see. Now, even though Fluttershy might not have been so vocal about it but even Gumball and Twilight knew that she wanted to go; which made Twilight even more stressed out on all of her friends wanting to go to the gala.

Honestly, Twilight should've listened to Gumball about his warnings, because now each of her friends are doing nice things for Twilight, so they can get the ticket to the gala. Boy, did he feel like making random predictions like Nostradamus (or was it Nosferatu?).

It ranged from Rarity making a dress, to Rainbow Dash making a large hole in the clouds during a rainstorm, so Twilight could eat lunch dry (which Twilight told her to not to, which got both Twilight and by extension, her lunch, wet), to Fluttershy and her animal friends cleaning Twilight library.

But wait! There's more! Apparently, Pinkie somehow let nearly everyone know that Twilight had an extra ticket to the Grand Galloping Gala and a bunch of the citizens have been asking to go with her for all their reasons!

So Gumball, Twilight and Spike managed to escape the crazy townsfolk and made it back to the Golden Oaks Library, however, Twilight's friends showed up and then started to argue on who should be the one that deserves to go with Twilight.

And seeing is how Twilight was trying to calm her argumentative friends down, Gumball had literally been running around town, having to deal with EVERYONE going crazy, all for some tickets, so Gumball on that night, made a decision that no one thought would ever happen in any lifetime...he'd have to act responsibly. All that he needed to to was to get everybody else's attention in a calm, collected manner.

"WOULD EVERYONE JUST SHUT UP?!" Gumball screeched as loud as he could, which got all of the Elements and Spike to look at him, speechless.

Nailed it.

"Geez! Look at you guys! You're letting a stupid ticket, an inanimate object...literally causing everyone in this place, to bicker back and forth in saying who should be the one to go with Twilight to this stupid gala! Just look at Twilight for crying out loud!" as he showed off Twilight to her friends, as they look at her stressful mood and behavior. "Honestly, if I had two tickets to go to some cool, super expensive party but I had to bring one of my friends. However, if my group of friends also wanted to go and try to hassle me in hopes of going, I'd rather give those tickets away! Because if I can't hang out with all my friends, then I wouldn't wanna go to some stupid party!"

All of the other Elements looked over at Twilight, as well as heard what Gumball said, and soon began to felt bad for both stressing out Twilight and annoying Gumball to the brink of losing what patience he had, each one soon began to apologize to the two for their actions, which Twilight nodded at them, showing that she forgives them.

"Now..." Gumball stated a bit more calmly "Since we got one situation solved, we must deal with the last one..." as he grabbed the two tickets and handed them to Twilight. "You know what to do, right Twilight?"

Twilight looked at Gumball for a moment, then looked at the two tickets in his paws, then looked up back at him with a smile. "Sure. I think I got it from here."

He then smiled as he felt the tickets leaving his paw, thanks to Twilight's magic, and walked back to the nearest table to sit on one of the wooden chairs.

"Spike, take down a note." Twilight calmly ordered the baby dragon, to which he quickly pulled out both a piece of paper and an ink quill and soon began to write on the parchment of what she would tell the princess.

"Dear Princess Celestia, I've learned that one of the joys of friendship is sharing your blessings. But when there is not blessings to go around, having more than your friends can make you feel pretty awful. So though I appreciate the invitation, I will be returning BOTH tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala."

"WHAT?!" her friends exclaimed both unanimously and loudly. Why, even Gumball was a bit shocked that she is willingly giving away two tickets that most ponies would pay a lot of money for. But he knew that if she isn't gonna be happy alongside with all of her friends at that party, then she can be happy with them by not going at all.

It'll all be fine in the end...hopefully.

Twilight turned to speak to her other five friends. "Well if my friends can't all go, then I don't wanna go either."

Gumball smiled a bit in pride of what Twilight stated to her friends. Man, who knew the bookworm of a unicorn could be so much of a renegade?

"Twilight...ya don't have to do that..."Applejack said as she looked at Twilight with a sympathetic look on her face.

"Nope, I've made up my mind." Twilight said, all the while smiling to her friends, then looked over at the baby dragon. "Spike, you can send the letter now."

Spike opened up the nearest window, then set the scroll that he made on fire with his magical fire, sending green magical mist towards the direction of the royal palace in Canterlot.

"Now you won't get to go to the gala, either." Fluttershy stated to Twilight.

"It's okay, everypony, I possibly wouldn't enjoy myself without my best friends there with me...so I would not rather go at all." Twilight assured, then she looked over at where Gumball was sitting and smiled at him. "For what it was worth, thank you for helping out with today, Gumball."

The young Watterson boy couldn't help but smile, while casually shrugging off Twilight's gratitude. "Don't worry about it. I mean, I just couldn't leave a friend hanging, right?"

Before Twilight could say anything else to Gumball, all the other five Elements came over to share the appreciation that Twilight had for all of them, giggling and laughing on what Gumball thought for it to look like a 'group hug' of sorts.

The only reaction that managed to make Gumball genuinely snicker to himself was Spike's barf hand expression at the disgustingly cute ways the mares were doing. Suddenly, Spike looked like he was about to barf something up.

'Deja vu, am I right?' Gumball thought to himself.

"Well, wallop my withers, Spike." Applejack said as she looked at the baby dragon with an unamused glare, while walking towards his direction.

"Um, Applejack, I don't think that Spike-" Gumball was about to warn the farming mare but was quickly ignored by the stubborn pony who continued to reprimand Spike.

"Isn't that just like a boy who can't handle the least bit of sentiments-WHOA NELLY!" was all she had to say, until Spike burped out a ball of fire, which then quickly turned into a scroll, that landed into the baby dragon's claws.

"A letter from the princess? That was fast." Twilight stated, curious on what her teacher may have said. Gumball, as well was just as curious, if not, more than Twilight was.

"Open it up and let's see what she say." Gumball called out to his fellow bro, to which all the others nodded as well at him.

Spike then opened up the newly delivered scroll in his hands as began to read the words out loud for all to hear. "My faithful student, Twilight, why didn't you say so in the first place?" then Spike opened the scroll a lot more, then was shocked at what was inside.

"Look! Six tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala!" Spike exclaimed to the others, both shock and surprise in his voice.

All of the six mares gasped in a mixture of shock and excitement for what transpired. The only one that didn't seem to show any excitement was indeed Gumball, who was dealing with a thought that never once crossed his young mind...

'I COULD'VE JUST ASKED TO SEE IF TWILIGHT WOULD ASK THE PRINCESS IF SHE WOULDN'T MIND SENDING MORE TICKETS FOR HER FRIENDS!' Gumball was starting to mentally cursing himself . 'WHAT KIND OF IDIOT DOESN'T THINK OF THAT?! Oh that's right...ME!' he then sighed to himself, trying to desperately shrug off what stress he still had left.

'You know what, it's fine. Now at least Twilight and the others can finally go to that rich horse people party like they wanted to. I should be glad for them all.' Gumball couldn't help but grin at the thought of the girls being happy that they get to go to the gala like they always wanted.

Suddenly, Twilight's stomach started to rumble, making the adorkable bookworm blush and chuckle in embarrassment.

"Allow us to treat you to dinner." Rarity spoke up, as she, Twilight and the rest of their friends started to walk out of the library, and into the night to get some dinner. And as each of the girls walked out, each of them grabbed their respective ticket from Spike's claw.

And as soon as the last ticket flowed out of Spike's claw, Gumball noticed that he looked a bit down, as if he was hoping that he could get to go as well. "How come I don't get a ticket to the gala?" Gumball heard what Spike said and stood up and walked towards his dragon bro, in hopes of comforting him. "You know what? Who really wants to go to such a fancy, shmancy party anyway? Why, I bet we could show those rich people how to throw a real party!"

He saw Spike look up him for a bit then smiled up at his words. "Yeah, maybe we can even-hmph!"

Gumball saw the telltale sign of seeing Spike barf up to another scroll, so he backed up to let Spike spew out what Gumball thought to be just one, when suddenly, he saw two. One of each fell into the paws and claws of both Spike and Gumball.

Before Gumball could on which scroll to open first, Spike already opened the scroll he was holding then began to read aloud. "And one for you, Spike." as he opened the scroll a bit more, then saw the familiar golden ticket which was now in his claws. Spike couldn't help but smile a bit giddily, which caused Gumball to smile down at him. "Lucky you getting to go to a fancy party."

Spike could only continue to smile as Gumball said, "Why don't you go ahead and follow the girls, while I check up on what this scroll has to say." to which Spike could only nod and then ran out the door to follow the rest of the girls.

Gumball took a moment to prepare for a moment in what the scroll would say (in case if it had big fancy words or stuff like that), then quickly opened the scroll and began to read what Princess Celestia had to say.

'Dear Gumball Watterson, I hope that this letter finds you well. You see, we never got to personally greet each other, during the whole Nightmare Moon incident. So, I took the liberty to make sure that I sent to you, one ticket to the Grand Galloping Gala. I hope to see you there whenever the night arrive so we may talk on exactly where you are from. I bet it would be an exciting topic to be discuss, along with my sister, who will be joining the gala as well. Hope to see you there.'

-Yours truly, Princess Celestia, Princess of the Sun and Co-Ruler of Equestria

Gumball's eyes widened a bit, not expecting the princess herself to send him a ticket to an aristocrat's social party meant for equines, yet when he opened the scroll a bit more, there he saw it: one golden ticket for the Grand Galloping Gala.

Now, Gumball knew that going to a party made for uppity nobles and royals would be a bad idea, however, it would also be a bad idea if he were to deny the princess' invitation. Besides, Twilight and all of her friends would never let it go, if ever.

'You know what? I'm willing to try something new for once. Let's just hope that it wouldn't be TOO much of a boring party.' Gumball thought to himself as he couldn't help but smile to himself.

After all, he was never one to turn down a party.
