My mother opened the door, letting me in.
“Hey, Sunset?” asked Rarity. “We’re neighbours, so do you mind if I drop in tonight about the Spring Ball?”
“Sure,” I said. “I don’t mind.”
Rarity grinned, before shutting the door behind me.
“Sunset, this is Lizzie. Liz, this is Sunset, your elder sister.”
“Hi, Sunset,” said Lizzie. “I’m 10 years old. I’m like you, no need to hide away. How old are you?”
“16,” I said.
Lizzie smiled. “I love the Rainbooms! I didn’t realise my big sis was a member, though!”
I smiled. “Thanks. Maybe I can play something on my guitar for you at some point.”
There was a knock on the door. I opened it, standing there was my ex boyfriend, Flash Sentry.
Flash and I sat on my bed.
“Sunset,” he said. “You never wanna talk to me. Why?”
“I’m scared.” I admitted. “I was scared that you’d judge me for who I am.”
Flash hugged me. “Course I wouldn’t! I love the wolf you!”
“You do?” I asked, brightening.
“Sure!” he cried. “It makes you unique. And will you go to the ball with me?”
“Flash, we haven’t frickin’ dated since Freshman, and I was a bitch. A total bastard to you. I’d love to. But...”
“But what about we have a practice date to see?” he said. “I know you like me...”
“I do.” I said. “Always have.”
