Empress Twilight's Universe. The Canterlot Castle Ship. 16:30.
An encounter that Princess Luna hoped wouldn't happen so soon. But was practically unavoidable considering where she currently was.
She had encountered Empress Twilight Sparkle, unfortunately, along with her many soldiers who stood behind her on guard. But she didn't really need guards due to how powerful she was.
She was on her ship now, in her universe, her territory. Already, Luna could feel the pressure flowing in her direction. But she had her Pokemon by her side to protect her.
"Well. How unfortunate is this?" Empress Twilight spoke.
"Empress Twilight..." Luna muttered.
"Luna. Or, I suppose in your universe you are still classified as Princess Luna. Seems you've managed to find your way here. Most likely from the gateway that connects to her basement, obviously. But perhaps going into the basement in the first place was your first major mistake."
"Frillish...!" Frillish was ready to unload a ton of attacks on Empress Twilight but Luna held him back. "Lish?"
"Pardon the interruption." Luna narrowed her eyes at Empress Twilight. "But I have no intention of staying here for much longer. Not in your universe anyway."
"Hmph. So you're not here for a pre-emptive strike, are you? Then why have you decided to come to my universe in the first place."
"It was just a mere accident from my own Pokemon. But coming here involves another pony that is of no concern to you but my world instead."
"Hoh? Are you referring to Skyblue Shine?" Empress Twilight shocked Luna with that response. Skyblue Shine was the main reason why this situation had even occurred.
"You know her?"
"Of course, I do. After all, this is her home. Her universe. Ah. But I suppose, you weren't aware of it at first, were you?" Empress Twilight chuckled as Luna's expectations kept getting surpassed as she now learned of Skyblue Shine's original home. "I specifically told her to keep the basement's gateway a complete secret from anypony else other than the rest of the Umbrage Thieves. But I suppose that was no good."
"So! Are you the main reason for the Umbrage Thieves existing?!" Luna bellowed. "All of those innocent Pokemon, stolen from many trainers across the world, was that your plan to command them to do so?!"
"Hm? Who me?" Empress Twilight looked up as she twirled her mane. "I'm not really a huge fan of these Pokemon. But, they do interest me, I'll admit. Your world is so lucky to have such Strange and Wonderful Creatures. Wonderful enough for me to involve myself with them."
"And enough for you to try and steal them?" Luna growled.
"Oh, I never said I stole them. If anything, having a Pokemon would be a bit of a bother. Although..." Surprisingly, out of nowhere, Empress Twilight made an Ultra Ball appear out of thin air with her magic, which shocked Luna.
"An Ultra Ball?!"
"This Pokemon is a bit of an exception. I'm truly grateful for Ghetsis for lending it to me, I'll say." She spun it around. "Oh and about your stolen Pokemon...if you're searching for them, you're far too late. Skyblue Shine has already beaten you to most if not all of them."
"What do you mean?"
"Like I'd tell you." Empress Twilight made the Ultra Ball disappear. "The bigger question is...what can I possibly do with a second Luna?"
"Kh!" Luna scoffed.
"Should I place you in Tartarus, much like my universe's Luna? Or would it be more comfortable and nostalgic for you to live on the moon once more? Your decision." Empress Twilight stepped forward once as all of her soldiers did the same in perfect unison.
"Don't you touch her!" Darkrai was ready to fire a Dark Void just in case.
"Don't engage, Darkrai!" Luna exclaimed.
"Your best option is to engage. Besides, I wouldn't just worry about what's in front of you as well..."
"In front of...?" With that response, Luna slowly turned around to see that there weren't just many soldiers in front of her, but also behind her. They had all snuck up on her without the sound of their heavy metal armour going through her ears.
She was surrounded on both sides now. But what's even worse was that there were even soldiers who could fly as they were hovering above Luna, covering her from front to back to even above. She was lucky that there wasn't anypony below her.
Luna did not want to engage with Empress Twilight since she knows how outclassed she is by a mile. But at this point, now that she was surrounded with Empress Twilight herself being present here, they might have to take drastic measures for their own safety.
"So much for avoiding conflict..." Darkrai whispered. "I think we should actually take her word and engage. It's probably our only way out."
"Probably..." Luna nodded gently as she, Darkrai and Frillish stood back to back. "But with this number difference, I fear we may be in our most difficult situation yet."
"What's the plan then?"
"You may act on your own volition. Frillish and I have will find our own approach..."
"Right. I'll get to work." Darkrai decided to make the first move as all the guards were put on high alert.
Darkrai decided to use Dark Void as he created an orb of darkness in his claws. Out of the orb, multiple spheres of darkness came flying at high speeds from all directions. Up, down, left and right.
The soldiers gasped as many of them had already been hit by Dark Void, instantly being put to sleep upon contact and granted horrible nightmares. The soldiers in the air managed to avoid the Dark Voids by flying away from Darkrai since he was essentially being protected by an array of Dark Voids.
Empress Twilight stood there, watching the Dark Voids fly by. However, none of them even touched her as she kept her composure. Completely unbothered by this. And if a Dark Void came close to her, she would just sway her neck to the side, avoiding it with ease.
"Hmph. On second thought...I'll handle it." Empress Twilight decided to deal with this situation herself as she used her magic to hold a single Dark Void in place.
With her magic holding the one Dark Void, Empress Twilight decided to give Darkrai a taste of his own medicine as she sent the Dark Void back at Darkrai while he was facing the other direction.
Before he knew it, Darkrai had been struck from behind by his own attack as the orb of darkness had consumed him. "Ah!"
"Darkrai!" Luna gasped as she witnessed her partner fall to the floor, entering a nightmare state. The Dark Voids ended up vanishing because of Darkrai's inactive status at the moment.
"Simple enough." Empress Twilight said as she walked over the sea of ponies who had been put to sleep, approaching Darkrai. "That Dark Void is truly a useful move. Perfect for restricting your opponent while making them suffer. You have an amazingly powerful ally by your side Luna..."
"Darkrai! Wake up!" Luna went over to Darkrai, shaking him. "There's no way you're capable of getting nightmares! Is there?!"
"Which is why I'll be taking him for myself. The power of nightmares is always a treat."
"Don't you dare touch him!" Frillish! Shadow Ball!"
"Frill...Lish!" Frillish conjured up a ball of shadows as he hurled it towards Empress Twilight. But, Empress Twilight was still showing an unimpressed face as she once again, used her magic to hold the attack.
But this time, she switched it up. Instead of sending it straight towards Frillish, she made the Ghost-Type move disappear and reappear right behind Frillish, hitting the Floating Pokemon from behind with his own attack as Frillish suffered heavy damage from Shadow Ball. A shadowy explosion happened afterwards. "F-Frill!"
"Frillish!" Luna screeched as she saw Frillish fall out of the explosion.
"Frill...Frillish..." The Floating Pokemon twitched as black sparks were emanating out of him after being hit by Shadow Ball. Now both of Luna's Pokemon were down on the floor.
"R-Return, Frillish!" Luna held out Frillish's Poke Ball, attempting to return him.
"Ah-Ah." But, Empress Twilight shot a tiny bolt of magic that ended up destroying the Poke Ball. "Wouldn't want any intruders escaping now, do we?"
"L-Lish...!" Frillish looked up at Empress Twilight as he could barely move. Meanwhile, Darkrai was twitching as he himself was experiencing nightmares for once in his life.
"Now then. What will be, Luna?" Empress Twilight stepped on Frillish's appendages. "Even you're smart enough to know that you can't possibly stand a chance against me. Celestia made that very clear back in your room, didn't she?"
"Frill!" Frillish screamed after being stepped on.
"I refuse to give up!"
"Wrong answer." Empress Twilight suddenly surrounded Luna's body in a purple light as she forcefully increased the gravity on Luna, causing her to fall flat on the floor.
"Agh!"
"But then again, you've always been so resilient, Luna. If there's anypony who absolutely refuses to give up, it's you. I'd consider that a blessing and curse for you." Empress Twilight increased the gravity by 2X. "You should know when to back down."
"Ugh!" Luna groaned.
"Anyway. Enough about that. It wouldn't hurt to steal your magic as well. I can tell you're a bit different from the many Luna's I've stolen magic from. This might be a treat." The Tyrannical Empress gave off a devious smile as she was planning to rob Luna of all her magic and keep it for herself.
"You will not do such a thing!" Luna struggled to get up from the floor as she was fighting against the heavy gravity. "We're making it out of here and we'll stop you once those 2 months arrive!"
"Hm. Sure." Empress Twilight increased the gravity on Luna by 8x, causing her even further pain. "Grab her."
The soldiers who were remaining and hadn't been hit by Dark Void went up to Luna, ready to grab and take her in. They gathered around the downed moon princess, who was still trying her very best to break free from Empress Twilight's gravity hold.
"C-Curses...!" Luna banged her head on the floor. "Xatu!" She then called for Xatu, who was still in his Poke Ball. Xatu responded to the cry of his trainer as he forcefully came out of his Poke Ball by himself.
"Xa!" The Mystic Pokemon emerged out as he immediately used Ominous Wind to blow away the soldiers who surrounded his trainer, sending them flying with a purple gust of repulsive wind.
However, the wind did not affect Empress Twilight at all. The best it did was make her mane flow. The gravity hold was still on Luna.
"Tu!" Xatu then turned his attention to Empress Twilight, focusing all of his anger on the one who harmed his trainer. He used Psychic to attack the Tyrannical Empress by surrounding her with a strong telekinetic force.
"Hm?" Empress Twilight, still unbothered, looked at herself as she noticed her body being surrounded by a blue outline of Psychic energy. "Not bad."
But she quickly countered by using her magic to hold Xatu whilst still holding Luna at the same time. Xatu had been slammed into the wall by Empress Twilight's magic, causing damage to the Mystic Pokemon.
"Xatu!" The Psychic-Flying-Type was pinned to the wall.
"You might want to be careful, Luna. At this rate, you'll end up running out of Pokemon if you continue this struggle."
"M-M-My Pokemon and I will continue to resist...!"
"Then they're just as stubborn as you. A perfect match." Empress Twilight giggled a small bit as the soldiers got back up after Ominous Wind. Not only that, but the soldiers who had been hit by Dark Void had gotten back up, faster than most victims of Darkrai's Dark Void.
"T-They're up already?!" Luna gasped.
"My soldiers have been trained to show no fear. If you think some nightmares are going to stop them, think again."
Very soon, all of the soldiers had recovered and surrounded Princess Luna while she was being held down by heavy gravity and her Pokemon were either down or pinned.
Luna could feel her bones breaking from the intense amount of gravity as she let out a horrifying scream that could be heard across the entire ship.
Empress Twilight only made this worse by bumping the gravity up to 14x. Luna's wings were starting to break and bend as she was finding it hard to break free with her face being dug on the floor with barely any chance of raising it.
Frillish tried to get up and help his trainer, but Empress Twilight added gravity onto him as well, forcing the Floating Pokemon to stay down. "F-Frillish!"
The soldiers grabbed Luna with their armoured hooves as Empress Twilight made sure that the gravity spell would only affect Luna and her Pokemon and not her own soldiers. Luna was picked up whilst still having a field of gravity beat on to her. She couldn't move any of her limbs because of this.
"P-Put me down!" Luna bellowed as she tried to kick her hooves around. But it was no use. She couldn't use any magic since she couldn't focus properly with all this gravity.
Her Frillish would be restrained as well as some of the soldiers used aluminium cuffs to hold him. The cuffs were placed onto Frillish's appendages as they even had an electric shock factor to them. And since Frillish was a Water-Type, this did not bode well as the electricity was already running through her body, causing the Floating Pokemon to scream.
"Urgh...!" Darkrai was starting to wake up as one eye of his opened up. Nightmares weren't too effective on Darkrai since there's not much he really fears. But he definitely fears for Luna and his friends' wellbeing. "L-Leave them alone!"
"My. I suppose my soldiers aren't the only ones trained to resist fear." Empress Twilight was impressed as seen by her light nodding.
Darkrai got up from the floor as his dark aura was rising with rage. More rage than usual. Seeing Luna in such a position while being harmed was enough to spark up aggression in the Pitch Black Pokemon as his aura was filling the hallway with darkness. All the while, Empress Twilight was once again, not bothered by this. She showed no signs of fear. With unbridled rage, Darkrai emanated a pulse of Darkness from his body as it knocked away the soldiers, forcing them to drop Luna and Frillish.
Celestia, who heard all the commotion outside, came through the corner of the hallway to see the current scenario. She witnessed Empress Twilight and her soldiers surrounding her little sister who was in immense pain while Darkrai stood in the middle with seething rage.
This was Luna's first time seeing Darkrai's aura in its full glory as it looked like it was oozing out of him. She had never seen her partner in a state such as this. "Darkrai...?"
"Then again, I suppose Mythical Pokemon are a cut above the rest aren't they? It would only make sense" Empress Twilight smirked as her horn lit up.
"You'll see that my teammates are a cut above the rest as well." Darkrai shifted his eye towards Frillish who was still on the floor. Both of them nodded at each other as they knew that something had to be done to break free of this.
"F-Frillish!" Frillish slammed his head on the floor which confused Empress Twilight. Why would Frillish inflict pain on himself? It was soon revealed why that was the case.
Frillish opened his mouth while facing the floor as he used Whirlpool. Out of his mouth came a spiral of water that quickly spread across the floor. A fast, vicious whirlpool quickly filled the entire hallway as it carried the soldiers and even Empress Twilight.
"You sneaky little...!" Empress Twilight was actually shocked by that as she didn't expect someone to pull off a tactic such as this.
Darkrai grabbed Luna, Frillish and Xatu with his claws as he hovered up to avoid the Whirlpool. The soldiers who could fly approached Darkrai as they weren't going to allow him to escape.
But Luna's Pokemon were persistent as Xatu flew out of Darkrai's claws to fend off the soldiers. He used Air Slash by flapping his wings, sending blades of air that could slice even the sky itself.
The pegasi soldiers were knocked out of the sky as the Whirlpool raged on. Darkrai decided that to really give them a high chance of escaping, they would need more than just Whirlpool.
So, he used Thunderbolt to boost their chances as he held his claw out, sending a bolt of 100,000 volts onto the Whirlpool. Once the Thunderbolt connected with Whirlpool, the volts were travelling through the violent flow of water, shocking the soldiers.
Since they were wearing metal, it wasn't very pleasant for them as even Empress Twilight Sparkle was affected by this. But she had a high resistance to it as she merely growled at them.
The Whirlpool and Thunderbolt combination didn't just affect the soldiers on the ship. It was affecting the machinery as well. Power was being shut off because of this as the lights had been turned off. But only the lights since Twilight's main ship was not that easy to take out.
The unicorn soldiers fired quick blasts of magic towards Darkrai and the others, aiming to take them out of the air. But Darkrai quickly counted by using Dark Pulse to cancel them all out. A large smoke cloud formed after the two moves cancelled each other out as that also helped to conceal Darkrai and his friends.
"Let's go!" Darkrai exclaimed as now was the perfect time to leave. Both he and Xatu flew off while the Whirlpool dealt with everything else. However, Empress Twilight wasn't about to let them leave so easily.
"Like I'd let you!" She used her magic to blow away the Whirlpool as if it was nothing. Her next course of action was to use her gravity spell on Darkrai and the others once more.
Celestia could see this from her horn lighting up as she knew that their chance of escaping might be thwarted by the gravity spell. So, for the safety of her little sister and her friends, Celestia used the most amount of magic she could use as she fired a tiny bolt of magic from her horn.
The bolt of magic ended up hitting Empress Twilight's eye, throwing her focus on Darkrai and the others off as she screeched and winced.
"Ah!" Empress Twilight pulled back as Celestia concealed herself by moving back into the corner of the hallway and running off. That one single action from Celestia was enough to let Darkrai and the others escape as they passed through the corner.
But to make sure there would be no slip-ups, Darkrai turned around as he used Ice Beam to create a wall of ice that filled the door, blocking off any entrance. That is until someone broke through it.
But in the meantime, they were safe as they had finally passed through the gateway, escaping from this universe.
Empress Twilight held her eye as the pain was unbearable to her. Despite her immense durability, the one consistently vulnerable part of any creatures' body is always the eye. No matter who you are, the eyes are always a good place to strike.
The Empress knew exactly who fired that bolt of lightning as she turned around to see if she could spot Celestia. But Celestia had already left. Even still, Empress Twilight knew that some punishment was needed.
"Do we make chase, Empress?" A soldier asked.
"No. You all stay here. That will just ruin our 2-month plan." Empress Twilight replied as she used a healing spell to heal her injured eye. "I'll handle this. The rest of you should fetch Celestia immediately."
Empress Twilight quickly regained her composure and coolness as she did not break out into a fit of rage. She knew that Luna and her Pokemon escaping was obviously a failure. And she wasn't afraid to admit it.
But, she wasn't done yet and she now had new plans after that small encounter.
Skyblue Shine's basement. 17:40.
They were finally safe. Darkrai hid in the corner with Luna, Frillish and Xatu as they could finally breathe. Darkrai could see that she was suffering after the gravity spell.
Her wings were broken and injured. Most of her bones had been damaged and she found it difficult to move. What's worse is that her hooves had taken the most damage out of any other body part. She couldn't move her limbs or anything really as she twitched.
"I...I can't move...." Luna whimpered. "It hurts..."
"It's alright. We'll get you home immediately." Darkrai turned around as he used Ice Beam to block off the gateway. However, immediately, when he made the ice wall, it had been shattered by a blast of magic. "What?!"
The ice wall being shattered revealed Empress Twilight, who had passed through the gateway. It did not take her that long to get here. The two ice walls she had shattered weren't that difficult to break considering her magic.
"I'm not done with you yet." She said.
"F-Frill?!"
"Xatu?!"
"No intruders shall leave my ship. At all. Fairly clever of you to use that Water move and Electric move while inside of my ship. That's a genius tactic that I've only seen happen on the outside."
"U-Ugh..." Luna winced.
"But, it's not enough." Empress Twilight, once again, used her gravity spell. But this time, she used it on Darkrai since he was the biggest threat here.
"Agh!" Darkrai was forced onto the floor as he was being held down by 30x gravity.
"You put up a good fight, Darkrai. Luna. And those two as well." Empress Twilight approached them. "I'd say you've done better than most Luna's I've encountered.
"C-Curse you...!" Luna growled as she was trying her very best to move.
"I'll enjoy taking your magic..." With a cocky and maniacal smile, Empress Twilight cast a sleep spell on Luna and her Pokemon, putting them all to sleep with ease.
Darkrai managed to keep his eyes open for a while as he was slowly falling asleep last. He knew that at this point, things looked bleak. But he had one way of guaranteeing hope. With the last of his conscious, Darkrai manipulated the shadows as he used them to grab Musharna's Poke Ball. He was aiming to send it out of the basement and to safety.
However, Empress Twilight quickly caught onto this as she used a light spell to blow away the shadows, negating Darkrai's control over the darkness.
And with that, Darkrai fell asleep last as he and his friends had been defeated by Empress Twilight Sparkle.
"Ugh. Glad that didn't evolve into even more frustration." Empress Twilight sighed as she shook some of the leftover water from Whirlpool off her.
Through the door of the basement, Skyblue Shine had entered as she was wondering what all that noise was. When passing through the gateway, she noticed that Empress Twilight was here, along with Luna, Darkrai, Xatu and Frillish as well as Musharna's Poke Ball.
"E-Empress Twilight!" Skyblue Shine quickly bowed. "I didn't expect you to show up here so early!"
"Nevermind that." She replied to the unicorn. "Skyblue Shine. I hope you can explain why they were able to find this gateway all the way down here."
"Ah!" She gasped. "Apologies! It seems that during my night-time escapade at Canterlot with the rest of the Umbrage Thieves, Darkrai had discovered us. And I expected them to pursue me by searching for my home in Vanhoover."
"Mhm." Empress Twilight nodded. "I don't need to hear anything else to know how this all occurred. Perhaps, we may need to change the location of this gateway."
"Change it, Empress?"
"With Luna missing, Celestia will obviously start searching for her little sister. And there will be no other place for them to arrive at than this. We will find a new area to place the gateway for little interruptions."
"I understand, Empress."
"Good. Now carry on with your mission. And gather as many Pokemon as you can. I'll be busy with-" Before the Empress could finish her sentence as she picked up Luna and the others with her magic, Darkrai was waking up once more.
"Urgh...!" Darkrai's eyes widened as Skyblue Shine stepped back in fear.
"You again...You sure are a stubborn one aren't you?"
"I...refuse to let you win!" Darkrai, once again, let out his dark aura as it blew Skyblue Shine back and only slightly moved Empress Twilight.
"Hmph. Ghetsis was right about Mythical Pokemon being major threats..." Empress Twilight scoffed.
Darkrai stood before Empress Twilight with his aura rising. His body was still in pain after the gravity that had been forced onto him. But he was tough enough to power through the pain.
"Put them down," Darkrai ordered.
"I think not." Empress Twilight was ready to use her gravity to force Darkrai to the floor, but the Pitch Black Pokemon quickly manipulated the shadows, causing them to smack the Alicorn Empress in the face.
"Kh!" Empress Twilight winced as she and Skyblue Shine were being carried by the shadows because of Darkrai's shadow manipulation. "Crafty, are you?"
Darkrai then put his hands together, creating a Dark Void to put Empress Twilight in a deep sleep while using the shadows to hold them in place. With all his might, Darkrai fired the Dark Void forward, but the Empress easily diminished it by putting up a protective barrier.
"You interest me, Darkrai. You might be the second Pokemon that I'll end up using next to the one Ghetsis lent me. You show much promise."
"I belong to Luna, not you!" Darkrai fired a Thunderbolt towards his opponent.
Empress Twilight yawned as she used her magic to create a small pulse that was potent enough to blow away the Thunderbolt and shadows that were holding her.
"Alright. I'll entertain you a small bit." The Empress decided to toy around with Darkrai for a while before returning to her universe.
And with that, the two of them started a short scuffle, with Darkrai firing another Thunderbolt towards her. Empress Twilight quickly flew into the air as she was fast enough to avoid the bolt of lightning.
Darkrai looked up, firing yet another Thunderbolt as he tried to hit her. But yet again, she evaded it, as the Thunderbolt broke through the ceiling, leaving a large hole in the roof.
Darkrai then switched up as he used Dark Pulse, his most powerful move by far. He sent a blast of darkness that began following the Alicorn Empress as the ceiling of the basement was being demolished. Skyblue Shine quickly ran out of her basement as she knew that it was being destroyed at this point.
Empress Twilight was humming as she was easily evading Darkrai's attacks without barely trying at all. As she flew around, dodging Dark Pulse, the basement walls had been obliterated along with the rest of the ceiling.
Darkrai could see that he was getting nowhere with this, so he decided to switch it up by holding a Dark Void in one hand as he flew over towards Empress Twilight.
The Empress narrowed her eyes, as she used her magic to hold Darkrai in place, preventing him from getting closer. But Darkrai wasn't that easy to stop. He used the Dark Void in his claw, sending it forward as a projectile.
But, the Empress swayed her head, avoiding it as it passed through the remaining walls of the basement. Darkrai was then sent flying back by a telekinetic push from Empress Twilight's magic as he crashed into the wall.
Darkrai wasn't performing as well as he usually does thanks to the effects of the gravity spell from earlier. He wishes he was at his absolute best right about now.
But that wasn't happening as Empress Twilight then fired a large blast of magic that engulfed the Pitch Black Pokemon. The blast destroyed the entire basement with ease as Skyblue Shine moved out of the way.
The blast of magic ended up exploding after engulfing Darkrai for a certain amount of time. The explosion of this blast was so powerful that not only did it obliterate the entire basement, but it even shook the entire mansion itself, startling Premium Polish who was up in her room. Skyblue Shine used a barrier of magic to protect herself. Her barrier almost cracked from the explosion, though.
The aftermath of the explosion was devastating. But what was even more devastating was Darkrai's condition. He had visible injuries on himself after the magic blast with smoke coming out of his body.
The Pitch Black Pokemon was breathing in and out as he was surprisingly still standing instead of fainting or being knocked out. "Is that all you've got?"
"You're still standing!?" Even Empress Twilight was shocked by that.
"I won't let you take them!" Darkrai winced as he felt wobbly.
"You've got a ton of bravado and resilience. But obviously, that's your downfall. Accept defeat, and it'll be less painful for you. But, I would say you're actually incredibly lucky. Despite all the alicorn magic I've stolen, I have to fully master them all. Which is why when I invade your world, I would've mastered each of them in just 2 months."
"Gh!" Darkrai held his arm as he knew this was practically one-sided at this point. Even if he had a powerful drive to win, he was smart enough to know when he was on the verge of defeat.
He couldn't defeat her. Not with how he was currently. So, Darkrai figured that there was only one thing left to do. He was going to give himself up for Luna's safety. But he wasn't going to tell Empress Twilight.
Instead, Darkrai, with the last of his strength, manipulated the shadows once more as black claws came flying out of the floor while charged towards Empress Twilight as well.
"Approaching me? How foolish!" Empress Twilight was about to shine her light once more to obliterate the shadows.
Darkrai knew that he couldn't let Empress Twilight gain ahold of Luna. His friends came first before anything else as Darkrai unleashed the full force of his dark aura by letting out a powerful flash of darkness that was enough to go against Empress Twilight's light.
Both of their flashes collided as they were each struggling for dominance. But, Empress Twilight's flash seemed to be greater overall as it was pushing Darkrai back.
Musharna knew that there was something due to all the commotion as she came out of her Poke Ball by herself. She witnessed the scene right before her very eyes. From Luna, Frillish and Xatu on the floor to Darkrai facing off against Empress Twilight, this was a sight that the Drowsing Pokemon didn't want to see as she was tearing up.
"Musha...Musharna...!" Because of this, Musharna could not allow anything horrible to happen further to her teammates as she emitted a psychic field around her body. Both Darkrai and Empress Twilight turned their heads towards the Drowsing Pokemon.
"Musharna?!" Darkrai gasped.
"Tch. What now?" Empress Twilight scoffed as she was still overpowering Darkrai's flash without even properly focusing.
"Musha!" WIth a flash greater than both Darkrai and Empress Twilight's flash combined, a bright pink light covered the entire basement in one fell swoop.
The last thing Darkrai, Empress Twilight and Skyblue Shine all witnessed was this pink light as they had been consumed by it as well. Along with the entire mansion.
The citizens of Vanhoover witnessed this spectacle occur in the far distance as they were wondering why there was a pink light out in the open all of a sudden. Premium Polish had also been caught up in this as well.
The light faded away as the aftermath wasn't anything destructive. In fact, nothing had been destroyed at all. The entire mansion was still here and Skyblue Shine and Empress Twilight were still in one piece as they opened their eyes. But they quickly found out that something was off.
Luna, Darkrai, Xatu, Musharna and Frillish had all vanished. They were gone without a trace whatsoever.
"T-They're gone!" Skyblue Shine gasped.
"Hmph...Most likely Teleport. Well played, Musharna." Empress Twilight nodded.
"Empress! I shall pursue them and-"
"No." She stopped Skyblue Shine from taking action. "You shall not pursue them, Skyblue Shine."
"Oh. U-Understood." Skyblue Shine stepped back.
"Besides...my 2-month plan is still underway. But this brief experience has given me a lot to work with. I knew Pokemon were powerful but this could prove to be troublesome."
"Shall I continue stealing Pokemon for you, then?"
"Go on. I need to continue my research about Pokemon at once. These creatures are a far greater threat than I expected. Bring as many as you can, understood?"
"Understood. Empress."
A fierce encounter that ended in the safety of Luna and the others had finished. For now. Empress Twilight Sparkle had already made a large impression as she had almost captured Luna and her Pokemon. Luckily, Musharna using Teleport was an amazing saving grace at the end of the day.
However, it was clear that this was far from the end. Empress Twilight was still planning to invade in just 2 months. However, knowing that Pokemon have a high potential of defeating her with how much potential they wield, the Alicorn Empress's plans will be going through a bit of an overhaul while the Umbrage Thieves continue to bring Pokemon for her plans as the journey continues.
