The new leader departed from the secretary's office attempting to figure it out.
But he had no time because suddenly, a loud blaring noise echoed throughout the compound.
He glared straight up at a siren. up in the corner of the ceiling playing loudly with a small red strobe light flashing.
He covered his ears from the loud noise. Soarin' knew exactly what it meant.
'Something happened' He thought
The new captain knew he had to do something, being the new captain. And he knew what he had to do, he ran through the hallways. Their security guards were scrambling and other Bluebirds were taking positions all about the compound.
Noticed Soarin' had ways to quickly make their way through the base. The two bounced off the steps and were kicking off the walls at angles to navigate the stairwell in seconds. Soarin' was heading down the thrill on the right.
Soarin gave chase and gasped as one of the Bluebirds security guards came running out of the gym and struck the opposite wall roughly.
They screeched to a halt as they saw it happen. Soarin' landed to check the guard. Soarin' grunted and turned to look in the room. His eyes widened. A guard sped up and slammed down to the floor, skidding and drifting so stopped beside Soarin'. They too were caught off guard by the sight.
Coming from the barracks, his childhood friend, Spitfire, came running over with her hands over her ears, “Soarin'!” She yelled to him “What’s going on?!” Spitfire asked. Soarin' shook his head
“I don’t know!" She said, barely able to hear Soarin' over the alarm.

But soon their question was answered
As a figure jumped in front of the two, a leather jacket, jeans, black boots, and a hood over her head.
“A Black Devil!” Soarin' stated but he heard an evil laugh behind him, "You're mostly right there." Both Soarin' and Spitfire glanced at the figure, "Who are you?"
She smirked, but that smirk faded
then examines Soarin'. Soarin' gets nervous and turns his head a little, revealing the scar on his chin, which she recognizes.
"Soarin'? C-Could it be??
Soarin' and Spitfire looked at each other, Soarin' didn't know how to respond, but he asked his most well-known question "Should I... should I know you?"
Her head turned away, "No. You were only a kid. But a mother never forgets."
Soarin' stammers, tongue-tied, aghast
Soarin' had so many questions knocking two other guards out with them. The three remaining pulled back to evaluate the situation. And like that the Black Devil was out of there as quickly as she got there. Soarin' was shocked if the news that she just laid on him and pretty soon something snapped at his face and quickly snapped out of it and see it was Spitfire and asked "Are you okay? Do you believe that woman could be your mother who died when Arctic was born you know that?"
Soarin' honestly "I don't know what I believe but finding who she was? And how she got in this place is strictly safe meaning no one can get in without being thoroughly searched and you know that." something poked him he glanced back to a guard saluting at him. It felt weird to be saluted "Sir, what is our next position?" Soarin' knew that needed a good command he place a hand on his chin thinking hard that when an idea came to him "Follow her and make sure she doesn't leave." the guard nodded out of respect and went ahead with the orders and Soarin' stroll away with his head leaving Spitfire just looks at him with worry
Soarin' was wondering what to do he literally idol his father died and now he was in the role his father would fit way better than he ever could. He was no leader that was sister Midnight who had integrity, self-awareness, courage, respect, empathy, and gratitude. And now a Black Devil woman broke into the HQ claiming to be his mother who passed away many years ago. He was walking down the halls of HQ with his head low as just passing the halls made him get reminded of his father and going by the Hall of fame of all racers in history.
And then a hand touched his shoulder he turned his head to see Static Speed, his third youngest sister soon he saw her everything burst she gently rubbed his hair "It's okay brother, let it out. He wouldn't want you to move, he was a fighter." then a very familiar annoying laughed and the siblings knew it well his fourth oldest brother Comet Flash who had frustration in his voice "I heard the news why did the pathetic boy get to be captain why not me. I'm way better than you
Soarin' bitterly gets in Comet's face "At least I care about others a trait that our beloved mother had." but Static flipped Comet down and Soarin' lightly smiles "That is enough Comet we get it your jealous of Soarin' because he is better than oh boohoo cry me a river. I had the same argument for years now so get over it. If I have to remind you our freaking dad passed away." those last words hit her. And tears burst down as she ran to Soarin' with her arms out. " Oh Soarin', he gone... I can't believe it..." Soarin' knew he had to be there for his sister "I know... I know, it's okay..."
A familiar voice that goes by Amethyst "Sorry to interrupt, but I need Mr. Soarin' to come with me." Soarin' looked down "I come back, are you going to be okay?" Static lightly nodded as Soarin' as gently as he could be. Comet offered "Let me take her." Soarin' agrees and gives her to Comet. Soarin' lightly gets up and follows Amesthys
Amethyst reveals down the hall to Soarin' father's old office just walking in made him get reminded of his father and he saw the picture frame on the desk of him as a little kid and his father on the right holding him and his beautiful mother holding him on he picked up the picture the memories just coming back.
Amethyst apologizes "I apologize if I brought up any hard memories and I know this is a lot on a young adult but you and your family are like family to me and your father and mother helped me a lot another thing this office is yours I'll leave you to get comfortable."
