Once Luna said that little speech, you launched yourself toward Dusk Shine. You weren't going to give him even a chance to get ready, you were going to give him the pressure from the beginning. You throw a punch but he dodges it with ease. Not giving him a second to recover you throw another punch at him and then a kick. He dodges and then tries to hit a right hook but you block hit. Then he tries to kick you but you catch his foot. But instead of tripping him, you tackle him to the ground. He tries to get back up but you weren't going to let that happen so you punch him in the face. You may or may not of 'accidentally' hit him in the nose. Dusk Shine's nose starts to bleed because of it. He holds his nose as he looks up and glares at you.
"That's a point to Anon. 1-0. Anon is in the lead." Luna said raising her hand in your direction.
The crowd roars to life. You can hear your friends and family cheering louder than anyone. You look at Dusk Shine and see that he gets back up and wipes his nose off. Luna walks over to him to make sure he's still able to fight. 'One point down two to go' Thankfully you were able to get the first point off of him, but you know he wasn't going to go down that easy. That battle was too easy and you knew it, he most likely gave you that point. Knowing Dusk Shine he'll probably come back at you with double the power.
"Please bow." Luna said. You both bow, looking at each other with pure hatred. "Begin!!" Luna yells.
This time Dusk Shine jumps toward you surprising you and catching you off guard. He tries to punch you but you block it, he then quickly tries to uppercut you. You dodge it, and after that, you try to kick him. He dodges it by doing a front flip, while he does the front flip, he's able to catch you off guard and he kicks you in the stomach. You feel a sharp pain as you hit the ground. You look up at him in surprise, so that was the power of the champion, huh?
"That's a point to Dusk Shine 1-1." Luna said raising her hand in Dusk Shine's direction.
You hit the ground in anger. You didn't think he was able to do flips like that. As you look back up you see Dusk Shine looking down at you and smiles. 'Yeah just wait until I knock that smile off your face then we'll see who's smiling,' The score was now tied one all and the crowd was loving it. You were going to have to be a bit more observant from this point on.
"Please bow." Luna said. You both bow. 'Not going to let that happen again' You weren't going to let Dusk Shine win if you had anything to say about it. "Begin." Luna yelled.
Dusk Shine tries to land a quick axe kick on you but you block it. Using your move you always use you try to sweep his leg. Once again he moves out of the way by doing another front flip. Unfortunately for him, you had already known that he was going to do that. As he lands you punch him with your left hand on his side, then with your right hand, you punch him in the face. As a final move, you sweep his leg. He doesn't expect that and as a result, he falls to the ground. You didn't necessarily have to make him fall on the ground but you wanted to. You wanted him to look up at you and show who he was going to lose to.
"That's a point to Anon. 2-1. Anon is in the lead." Luna yelled raising her hand in your direction.
The crowd was louder than an airplane in the gym. You can barely hear anything because of them. Dusk Shine gets back up but he didn't mad that he was losing in fact he looked... happy? Dusk Shine must have something planned if he's happy about losing. 'Must be prepared for anything in this battle' You looked at Dusk Shine, you were going to have to play it safe in this battle as you didn't know what he was planning.
"Let's go Anon!" A voice yelled.
You look back at the crowd and see that it's your friends and family cheering for you.
"A-N-O-N! WHAT DOES THAT SPELL? ANON!" Pinkie yelled.
Pinkie, Sonata, Aria, and Adagio are in cheerleader outfits cheering for you. Now that was something surprising to see but you felt happy to know you had such good friends. You looked at them, they were doing all of this for you. Now a day's it was hard to find good friends like that. Knowing your friends and family were cheering you on made you want to win for them.
"Please bow." Luna said as you and Dusk Shine both of you bow. You still knew that Dusk Shine was up to something or had a plan. All you had to do was to get one more point and this match would be history. You were determined to win this battle. "Begin."
This time no one tries to do a rush attack on the other. Dusk Shine was actually going on the defense for the first time this whole tournament. You didn't want to come to him but he wasn't coming to you. Was this the plan he had? By playing on the defensive and letting you come to him? One of you was going to have to make a move sooner or later it's just that neither of you was going to be the first one.
After about four minutes of waiting you decide to make the first move. You throw a punch to Dusk Shine's side but he blocks the hit. You then try to uppercut him but he blocks it again. You continue to try to punch him but Dusk Shine just blocks it. He keeps blocking your hits, but he still wouldn't hit you. Finally, you decide if a punch wouldn't work maybe a kick might work. How wrong you were. Once you try to kick him he grabs your leg. He jams his elbow into your leg, your not fully healed leg to be exact. To make things worse he punches you in the face. Even though it had been a week your leg still wasn't fully healed. You fall to the ground holding on to your leg in pain.
"That's a point to Dusk Shine. 2-2." Luna yelled raising her hand in Dusk Shine's direction.
The crowd 'boos' at Dusk Shine for what he had done. The weird thing was that Luna doesn't do anything to him. She just gives him a warning not to do that again. You try to stand back up but the pain was just excruciating to tell with. Dusk Shine bends down to get to your level and look at you right in the eyes.
Dusk Shine continued to look at you and smirked. "Come on Anon I thought you said you were going to win? I guess Sonata isn't the only failure at this school. You're nothing Anon, Sonata's nothing, your dad's nothing. I own you Anon, I'm going to be the winner of this thing! Stand up Anon or are you scared? I wouldn't be surprised if you were, you got lucky to make it this far in the tournament. Now stand up so I can beat you in front of the whole town!"
"Come on Anon get up!" Your mom yelled.
"Get up and prove to everyone that you're number one!" Aria yelled.
"Anon! Anon! Anon!" Sonata yelled starting to chant.
"ANON! ANON! ANON! ANON! ANON!" The crowd cheers.
You look at everyone in the room, they were cheering for you. You start to slowly get back up. You were going to beat Dusk Shine and win the tournament. For your family, your friends, and especially... Sonata. You slowly get back up and you're able to stand back up on your feet. The crowd cheers as you get back up. You're limping a bit but your up. You turn around and look at Dusk Shine as he just smiles like always.
"I made it this far and I'm going to win this thing!!" You yelled as you throw your hand in the air.
The crowd yells in response. No matter what you were going to win. You had one final chance to beat Dusk Shine, so you had a special trick up your sleeve. He won't know what even hit him.
"Please bow." Luna yelled as you both bowed.
You were smiling and Dusk Shine looks confused. You get into a stance, one of your legs is in the air and the other is on the ground, and your hands are also in the air. To Dusk Shine you were probably looking like a bird. But to you, you had a plan. You can see the terror in Dusk Shine's eyes, he doesn't have a clue as to what you're doing.
"The next person to get a point will be our champion. With that... BEGIN!!!" Luna yelled.
Dusk Shine charges at you. Just like you predicted, it was a good thing Flash had a bunch of karate movies. You use a move you learned from Daniel Larusso, which is the crane kick. Your leg hits Dusk Shine's jaw with a loud bang. He then falls to the ground with a loud boom. The audience stayed quiet and still as they watched what they had just realized.
"That's a point to Anon! 3-2. ANON IS THE WINNER AND OUR NEW CHAMPION!!!!" Luna yelled raising her hand in your direction.
The air fills with cheers as you will the match. You did it! You actually won against Dusk Shine! You look back at the crowd, your mom was crying with happiness as your dad held her and smiled at you. AJ was swinging your hat around in the air, Rarity wasn't acting like a woman, and Aria and Adagio are hugging each other while jumping up and down. Rainbow, Pinkie, and your dad are ecstatic, Fluttershy is actually yelling for once. Flash looks down at you and gives you a thumbs-up. Your eyes then lock on Sonata's and she's smiling while she's crying.
"Anon here is your trophy." Luna said as she hands you the trophy.
Dusk Shine got up and looked at you. Although he had lost he still had to give it to you. "Not bad Anon. I'll be sure to take you down next time."
You looked at Dusk Shine, surprised that he was being nice to you but you let it go. You smiled back at him. "Yeah, we'll see about that."
"We hope you enjoyed this tournament. This was one of the best tournaments we have ever seen. There will be a party in a few hours, if you would like to come you may. You're all inclusively invited, the host being Pinkie Pie herself." Celestia said over the mic.
Your friends and family run up to you to congratulate you on the victory. They start asking all kinds of questions and you could barely keep up with them. Before you even knew it you were getting dragged out of the school so you could get ready for the party. 'This party is for everyone in the town. This is going to be Pinkie Pie's biggest party yet.' But you had other things to worry about, like getting ready for the party of a lifetime.
A few hours later at Pinkie Pie's party...
You look in front of the school where the party was taking place. They weren't kidding, the whole town was at the school partying their hats off. You and Flash were walking into the school and you had already seen some of your friends. You were looking around for Sonata. You had decided after beating Dusk Shine that you were going to tell Sonata tonight about your feelings toward her. However, finding her seemed to be a bit more of a problem than you thought. Flash must of saw you looking around for someone.
"You looking around for Sonata?" Flash asked as he looked over at you.
You look over at Flash, there was no point in lying to him. You had already told him earlier what you were planning on doing. "I'm not even going to lie. Yes, yes I am."
Flash scoffed as he looked around the school. "Good luck, it's like finding a nail in a haystack."
You nodded your head. "I'm going to go outside and try to text her to come outside."
Flash nodded his head. "Good luck Anon."
"Thanks, Flash." You said as you pulled out your phone and started making your way outside. "I'll see you later." And with that, the two of you said your goodbyes.
You start to head out of the cafeteria. People look at you and congratulate you on winning against Dusk Shine. You just smile and thank them as you continue to walk out of the school. All you had in mind for tonight was to tell Sonata. It was your mission to tell her tonight.
With Aria, Adagio, and Sonata...
"So, Sonata do you plan on asking Anon about how you feel?" Adagio asked as she looked over at Sonata.
"Yeah, I just need to find him first." Sonata said. Just then Sonata's phone goes off, she checks it to see it was from you asking her to meet you outside. "It's Anon he wants to meet me outside?" Sonata said obviously confused.
"Oooooooh." Aria and Adagio cooed making their sister blush.
Sonata blushed as she looked away from her sisters. "S-Stop, it's probably not like that. I'll see you guys in a bit."
"Bring your boyfriend when it's over!" Adagio yelled over the music with a smirk. Sonata didn't even look back as she just keeps on walking. She wanted to know what you wanted.
Back to you outside of the school...
You were currently outside the school and waiting. You had just texted Sonata, to meet you outside the school, near the statue. To say you were a little nervous would be a lie. After a while you see Sonata walk out of the school. You wave your hand to get her attention. She sees your hand and waves back, walking towards you.
"Hey, Anon. I got your text do you need something?" Sonata asked as she finally made it to you.
"Uh yeah." You scratch the back of your head. "There's actually something I've been wanting to tell you for a long time now."
Sonata tilted her head. "What is it?"
"I-I well... you see." You tried to speak but the words wouldn't come out. It was as if your brain had just shut off at that moment. How could it be so hard to just say I love you? You had beaten Dusk Shine, surely saying three little words would be easy. You take a deep breath and look at her. "I... uh actually. Sonata I've liked you for a while now. Actually right after you asked Dusk Shine I found out I liked you."
Sonata looked at you in surprise. "You've liked me for six years?"
"Yeah... what about you." You asked looking at her. "Do you like me?"
Sonata looked at you and smiled. "Anon I liked you at first glance. I liked Dusk Shine but before I liked him I liked you. I was just scared you wouldn't like me back."
"I guess we were both scared over nothing then." You said as you laughed.
"I guess so." Sonata said as she laughed as well.
You look into her eye and she looks into yours. You both slowly start to lean in, she closes her eye and you close yours. Your lip connects, and the kiss was electrifying. After years of liking Sonata, you were finally kissing her.
"You have no idea how long I wanted to do that." You said as you looked Sonata in the eyes.
"Me too." Sonata said as she too looked into your eyes.
You smiled at her. "I love you, Sonata."
Sonata smiled back at you. "I love you too, Anon."
The two of you share a kiss under the moonlight once again. Finally, your crush Sonata Dusk was your girlfriend. This was the best day of your life. How could life get any better?
