Sonata's P.O.V
Once I get into the car I can already tell something was off. Dusk Shine looks at me and then looks back at the road. I was not looking forward to the talk when we get home.
We get to the front of his house and he heads inside leaving me outside. I slowly walk into his home and see him sitting down on a chair drinking a soda. As I close the door behind me he looks up at me and gives me one of the most scariest faces I had ever seen.
"You were late, again." Dusk Shine said as he glares at me. He was mad, and I was in trouble.
I took a step back in fear. "I-I didn't know we would run into Flash and Anon."
Dusk Shine rolled his eyes. "Still you're late and you said you would stop being late."
I don't know what got over me but I had enough. I had enough of the abuse, enough of getting yelled at, and enough of always living my whole day in fear of Dusk Shine possibly hitting me. I never stood my ground against Dusk Shine, ever. In all those four years of this abuse, I've never stood up to myself. So I take a deep breath and looked him in the eye.
"I was two minutes late and all of a sudden I'm a villain? I'm sick and tired of you abusing me, Dusk. I don't care if you're the most popular kid, I want someone that actually loves me, not someone who abuses me all the time. So I'm going to ask nicely because I love you. Stop hitting me or I'll tell Adagio and she'll do something to you." I said and boy did I feel good about it too.
I smiled, I was proud of myself for what I did. Finally facing my fears and not being scared of Dusk Shine. Plus, he wouldn't do anything, nobody would when we're talking about Adagio, the scariest person alive. If I tell her she'll beat the mess out of him, all that abuse I had felt would be nothing compared to what Adagio would do to him. How wrong I was, I thought this would change everything... but it didn't.
Before I knew it one of the hardest slaps I ever felt hit me on my cheek. Then in one swift motion, Dusk Shine grabs me by my shirt and pulls me to his face.
"You listen and you listen well... YOU WILL NOT TALK TO BE LIKE THAT EVER AGAIN!!! YOU ARE MINE AND ONLY MINE!!! SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT AGAIN!! I DARE YOU!!! SEE WHAT HAPPENS!!" Dusk Shine yelled in my face.
I was done with him. "No, you listen here! I AM NOT YOUR PROPERTY AND NEVER WILL BE!!" I yell back at his face.
Just then I felt a punch to the face. I fall to the ground, nearly throwing up from the immense pain. I look up at him and he looks down at me and then he picks up his soda. He then proceeds to spill the rest of his soda all over me. Getting my hair and my clothes completely soaked because of it.
"I'M THE BOSS OF YOU AND WILL DO AS I SAY!! I don't why I even started to date you." Dusk Shine rolled his eyes. What he said crushed me. "Everyone only knows about you because of me! And you treat me like this? I should deserve some more respect!! Your sister Aria was right about you, YOU ARE A FAILURE!!!"
FAILURE... failure... fail... ure? I'm a failure? I feel tears starting to rise up in my eyes. I can only look at him with disbelief. All this time he thought I was a failure. Then why would he date a so-called failure then? And why did he have to bring up Aria? At least she doesn't call me a failure. Well, she probably did but she doesn't say it to my face unlike him.
"Then why would you date a failure like me?" I ask as I looked up at him still in pain from the punch.
"Why? I'll tell you why. All the boys at Canterlot High are head over heels for you. Every single one of them is jealous because I have you. The most popular boy and the cutest girl. All the boys except Flash and Anon of course. Flash likes Sunset and Anon." Dusk Shine then stopped and tried to think of something. "He probably likes someone that isn't so stupid. Get out of here I don't want to see you for the rest of the day." Dusk Shine says as he pushes me away.
Calling me cute, that was the nicest thing he's said to me in years. I run out of his stupid house for my dear life, holding onto my stomach in pain. I'm not a failure, or his property, my parents love me. As well as my sisters and friends. They don't think I'm a failure. And he definitely ain't the boss of me. I'm going to tell someone about this once and for all, I just don't know who.
Your P.O.V
You know when you get used to your schedule at your school so you think it'll be exactly the same. Well, that's how you thought today would be but you were wrong. You had just gotten out of your history class and you were headed to lunch. But as you were headed to lunch you ran into Sonata. Weird, normally she's always with Dusk Shine but he was nowhere to be seen. She looked upset about something but what?
"What's up Sonata? You need something?" You ask her.
Sonata looks at you and then sighs. "Yeah, I have something to tell you. If you have time that is."
You nodded your head. "Yeah of course I have time. What is it?"
Sonata then looks down at the floor confusing you as to what was up with her. "Well, it's actually about Dusk Shine and me."
"What about you and Dusk Shine? Is everything alright between the two of you? Do you need my help again? It's almost your guy's sixth-year anniversary." You said with a smile.
You actually wouldn't be surprised. This wouldn't be the first time she had asked for help. This would actually be the third time she would be asking. Or maybe they broke up, now that would be surprising. You doubt it, she would've gone to the girls, and plus she would have been crying her eyes out by now.
"It's not about that it's about something else." Sonata says continuing to look at the ground.
You looked at Sonata confused. "Ok... don't leave me hanging, what is it?"
"W-well you see he actually-" Sonata tries to say but gets interrupted.
"Hey, guys, what's up?" A voice said.
You turn back, it's Dusk Shine. Bad timing and she was about to tell you to. Well, she can't tell you now, Dusk Shine is here. He's probably going to ask what we were talking about. I'll just get out of this conversation as soon as I can.
"Oh, hey Dusk Shine me and Sonata were just catching up." You said with a small smile. You still didn't trust him ever since what happened at the beach so you were on high alert around him.
"Oh, that's cool. Hey Sonata can I talk to you? Privately." Dusk Shine says seriously catching you off guard. You'd never heard Dusk Shine sound so serious before.
"S-sure." Sonata says stuttering.
You look over at Sonata and your eyes widened, Sonata was shaking. Was she... scared of Dusk Shine? "Uh yea, well I'll see you guys later, I'm hungry."
"Bye Anon." Sonata and Dusk Shine say as they headed their way.
"Bye." As you waved to them and went your own way.
I'm hungry? What a stupid excuse. Well, you're not wrong, you were hungry. Whatever. The way he said privately sounded... off to you. Must be something important if he said it like that. Maybe he didn't mean for it to sound like that and you were just paranoid. As you leave however you didn't know what was going on behind you.
In another part of the school Dusk Shine had put Sonata up against a wall. "You were about to tell him about me. Weren't you?"
"Maybe, maybe not, you have no proof." Sonata says as she crossed her arms and looked away from him.
Dusk Shine scoffs. "I don't need proof to know that you were about to tell Anon."
"What are you going to do? If you forgot we're at school you can't hit me here." Sonata said with a smirk.
Dusk Shine grabs her by her arm. "Oh yes, I can." Dusk Shine says as he drags her down the hall. But what they didn't know was that they were being followed by someone.
Dusk Shine takes Sonata to a secluded part of the halls. Where no kids or teachers are, at this time of day. The person was still following them keeping their distance so they weren't caught. They peek the corner and pull out their phone to record the both of them. Just at that moment, Dusk Shine proceeds to throw Sonata against the lockers with a loud bang.
"I told you not to tell anyone." Dusk Shine said as he glared at her.
"They'll find out what you're doing eventually. And when they do you're in trouble." Sonata says with a smile. Just then a series of a slap to the face and then a punch to the stomach. Sonata falls to the ground groaning in pain.
"When they do find out what will they do? I'll like to see what they do to me, especially Adagio. Now leave before Anon gets suspicious." Dusk Shine said as he looked down at Sonata.
As Sonata is leaving the hidden figure looks at what they just saw. The hidden figure then proceeds to run before Sonata can see them. Sonata walks away into the bathroom to cry her heart out from the pain.
There you were, minding your own business eating your apple with Flash and the others. All except for one, Twilight hadn't arrived yet, maybe she wanted to talk to her teacher about something. Your thoughts go elsewhere as you hear the cafeteria doors burst open. It was Twilight and she looked like she had just run a marathon. She comes up to the table, you weren't the only one surprised. Everyone looks up at Twilight as if she was a serial killer.
"What's wrong Twilight?" Sunset said.
Twilight tried to catch her breath. "I-I saw it with my own eyes. I got video footage of it."
"Saw what? What video footage are you talking about?" Sunset asked as she went over to Twilight to give her some water.
"Dusk Shine and Sonata." Twilight said as she takes out her phone.
The whole table goes stiff as a board, nobody dared to make a move. Twilight hesitantly took out her phone and plays the video she had recorded. Everyone gasps at the horror, you spit out the water you were drinking. Sunset and the others look like their lives were sucked from them. Adagio and Aria look like they were already planning the murder of Dusk Shine. And you... you were seeing red. Sunset stands up from her seat, she has a serious expression on her face.
But you weren't having any of it, you weren't going to wait for Sunset. You jump up from your seat. "DUSK SHINE!!!!" You yelled.
Everyone in the cafeteria looks at you. You didn't care as you run out of the cafeteria at full speed. You were on a mission to find Dusk Shine so the two of you could have a little "talk."
"ANON!!" Sunset yells after you.
Adagio, Aria, and Flash also jump up and run from their seats. Now everyone in the room was interested in what was happening. As then kids started getting up from their seats and started following you and your friends.
Sunset then turns to Fluttershy, Rarity, and Twilight. "Fluttershy, Rarity, Twilight, go find Celestia and let her know about this."
You ran down every hall to find Dusk Shine. He could run as much as he liked but he can't hide. The only thing that you could think of was just what were you going to do to him when you found him. You had so many ideas for when you did meet him. Well, if he wants to hit people let's hit him. 'Just you wait Dusk Shine, when I find you you're going to wish you were never born!' You thought as you run down the halls trying to find him.
