Three years later, Fluttershy takes Flittersoft to her cottage to let her pick out a pet. “I like the chipmunk, mommy,” says the filly with a giggle. 

“Then she’s yours,” responds Fluttershy as she flies up to the tree and brings it down to her daughter. She hands it to the filly. “Mow what do you want to name her?” 

“Pipsqueak or Pippy for shore,” responds the filly. 

“Then Pippy it is,” responds Fluttershy with a beaming smile. They then fly off to Rainbow Dash and Soaren’s for their scheduled play date. Once there, Flittersoft shows her pet to her best friend Soara. 

“Whoa, cool,” responds Soara. “Can I pet her?” 

“Of core,” responds Flittersoft. Soara then walks over and pets the chipmunk and giggles as it climbs up her hoof. Flittersoft smiles and giggles along as well before walking over and taking Pippy back under her wing. The chipmunk cuddles up and falls fast asleep. “That’s a good Pippy,” says Flittersoft softly. “Enjoy your nap.” The fillies then head off to play while Fluttershy catches up with Rainbow. 

“They’re growing up so fast,” sighs Rainbow to her friend. 

“Yeah, I know,” responds Fluttershy. “Flittersoft just got to choose her first pet today, her chipmunk, Pippy.” 

“Yeah, it sure does look like she enjoys her little companion,” responds Rainbow. “Soara keeps asking for a pet, but I don’t know what to do.” 

“Well, let her come to my cottage someday and let her pick one out,” responds Fluttershy giggling. 

“Don’t worry, I will,” responds Rainbow laughing. “There’s no doubt about that.” 

The two continue to talk for hours on end while the girls play upstairs in Soara’s room. They run around, attempt flying, and just play generally with Soara’s toys. About two hours later, Fluttershy and Flittersoft say goodbye and return home to Thunderlane who just got out of Wonderbolt training from the day. 

“Hey girls, welcome home,” says Thunderlane with a smile, “how was the play date at Rainbow and Soaren’s?” 

“It was good,” responds Fluttershy. “We also had something else today before that, remember?” 

“Oh yes, letting Flitter pick out her pet at your cottage, right? What did you decide on baby girl?” 

“A chipmunk,” responds Flittersoft. She pulls it out from under her wing and shows her dad. “See! Her name is Pippy!” 

“That’s a great name for her, she’s so cute, so teensy,” responds Thunderlane. “You’re gonna be a great pet momma, baby girl.” He fluffs and ruffles her mane messing up the braid. Flittersoft stops his hoof from doing it again and heads up to her room and fixes her braid. She then comes back down to dinner with her parents after putting Pippy down for a nap.
