Equestria Ninja Girls: Viper Kai

by AmethystMajesty25

Raid

The brawl continued to rage on at Rarity’s house as the Hamato Clan and the Shadowbolts teamed up to take on Sensei Kai and his Viper Kai students.

In the living room, Thunderbass blocked Flash’s kick and punched him in the gut and in the face.

“You call that a kick? Come on!” Thunderbass shouted as Flash Sentry got up. Flash went for a roundhouse kick, but Thunderbass countered his attack and threw him on the couch with his upper back landing on the side table behind it.

Pauly rushed in after kicking Cherry off the side and checked on her brother, “Flash!”

“It’s okay. I’m alright.” Flash told her as Pauly pulled him up. “Let’s do this together, sis.”

“You’re right. We can’t fight each other anymore.” Pauly said as Flash nodded and they both fight against Thundebass and Cherry Crash.

Cut to the kitchen, Teddy battled Valhallen and hit him with a frying pan after grabbing it and dodging Valhallen’s attack. He shook off the pain a bit and called Teddy out, “Come on. Let’s go!” The two big boys resumed fighting with each other while in the dining room, Rarity fought against Suri while Applejack battled her rival, Strawberry Sunrise.

“Haven’t seen you awhile since the Friendship Games.” Rarity told her rival.

Suri replied, “Yeah, but I’m here to join on the winning side. Viper Kai’s where it’s at.”

“Then you have made an ungrateful decision.” Rarity rebuffed.

“Is that a fact? Well let’s see how you handle this.” Suri said as she pulled out her sais and attacked her, but Rarity countered it with her ninja weapons.

Cut to the two rivals of fruits, Applejack told Strawberry, “Ah’m here to tell you that apples are better.”

“No, Strawberries are much better and sweeter.” Strawberry Sunrise replied, making the cowgirl much more furious.

“Oh, you wanna bet? Let’s settle this once and for all!” Applejack shouted as Strawberry replied, “For once, I agree!” The two farmer girls battled it out with their ninja weapons.

As for Pinkie and Mikey, they double-teamed Crimson Napalm and leg swept him. However, Crimson got up, but Mikey threw some sticky fluids on him and Pinkie shot him with feathers from her party cannon. Crimson spit out some feathers from his mouth as Mikey and Pinkie laughed.

Mikey said, “Ha! You look like a chicken.”

“I’ll make you pay for that!” Crimson Napalm growled as he charged right at them, but Pinkie and Mikey jump kicked him right in the face and knocked down Crimson.

“No silly, if you want it, you have to pay for it.” Pinkie commented.

As for Logan, he fought against Ginger Owlseye and Shark, but Shark kicked him right in the face two times. After that, Logan fought back with his punch and kick, but Ginger and Shark dodged them and called him out, “Is that all you got, little man?” Logan threw a punch, but the two Viper Kai students missed Logan’s attack again and Ginger hit him with a little vase on the face.

“Yeah, eat that stuff! Get up!” Ginger shouted as Sweetie Belle saw what he did.

“Hey! You’re gonna pay for that vase!” Sweetie Belle yelled as she ran towards Ginger and fought him off.

Then, Rumble attacked Shark and told him, “This is payback from yesterday!”

As Shark was about to punch Rumble, he was interrupted by Rover and he helped Shark beat Rumble up.

“Oh yeah, now that’s what’s up!” Rover said as he fist bumped Shark.

However, Shark started to suffer a crisis of conscience. He looked around and watched his former friends getting beat up by the bullies who once made his life a misery. Then, Shark started hearing thoughts in his head.

“I told you, only the strong will survive.”

“Those are your uncle’s words! He’s got in your head, Swift!”

“Never underestimate your enemy.”

“You trained in martial arts to stand up to bullies! Not become one!”

“The enemy of your enemy is your friend.”

After hearing words from his uncle and Babs Seed, Shark saw the Diamond Dogs holding Lancer in an arm hold and saw a brief flashback of when he broke his arm.

“Hey yo Shark, free shot!” Rover said as he held Lancer in the arm while Fido and Spot watched.

Shark stared daggers at them and made his choice. In slow motion, he proceeded to run towards them and then suddenly, Shark kicked the Diamond Dogs off of him. After saving Lancer, Shark turned around and Lancer pointed his weapons at Shark. He told him, “Stay back, Viper scum!”

Patch and the others rush to his side, “Stay away from Lancer or that mark on your lip won't be your only scar!”

“Lancer, I..., I'm sorry...” Shark apologized.

Lancer scoffed, “Yeah right!”

April said, “Guys, he's telling the truth.”

“I’m sorry. For all of it,” Lancer and his friends paused for a moment and they were not sure if he’s telling the truth until Shark said, “Do you want help me win this thing?”

Lancer walked up to him with an icy, cold stare and stood face-to-face with his Shark as he put his weapons down. After that, Lancer smiled and accepted his apology, “Yeah.”

Shark and Lancer reconciled and the two reunited best friends along with their friends worked together to fend off against several Viper Kai’s.

Meanwhile, Bright Eyes ran outside to the front porch, but Lightning Dust ambushed her outside and kicked her down to the ground. Lightning Dust held her up by her arm, ready to punch her, “I gotta be honest, Four Eyes. I thought you’d put up more of a fight. But you’re still a spineless coward! So, any last words before I punch your lights out?!”

Bright Eyes shut her eyes, when she remembered what Leo said, “Only you can conquer your fear, no one else.”

Then, a voice called her out, “Bright Eyes!” The girl opened her eyes to see the spirit of Master Splinter standing off to the side. “Fear nothing!” He said.

Bright Eyes glared and answered, “Just this...” Then, she kicked Lightning Dust in chest, making her let go, back-flipped over her and picked up her nunchucks, swinging them around. “The name’s Bright Eyes! You wanted a rematch, now you got it! Second Best!”

Lightning Dust growled and picked up her bo staff, “I'll break you!”

Bright Eyes fought her and defeated her like Mikey defeated Jagwar in a grudge match. As Lightning Dust lifted her head, Bright Eyes aimed the blade of her chucks at her, “I'm not afraid of you anymore!”

She let go of her and began to walk away, but Lightning Dust got up and was about to attack her when Lancer came out of nowhere and kicked her in the gut with a flying kick.

Lancer told her right in her face, “Never mess with the Hamato Clan!”

“By the way, thanks for the motivation.” Bright Eyes told Lightning Dust as she and Lancer hugged.

Back to the Vietnam flashback, the captor chose the captain and one of Kai’s comrades to battle, but he was scared. So, Kai stepped in and took his friend’s place. Kai and his captain exited out of the cage with their captors watching them and they headed towards the pit.

“I’ll go.” Kai told the captors.

The captain laughed, “Well, I’m sorry it has to end for you like this, Kai. But only one of us is coming back and I got something to live for.”

“So do I.” Kai said.

“No. No, I don’t think you do. That girlfriend of yours back home. Well, she’s dead.” Kai’s captain broke the news to him.

Kai didn’t believe in him, “No. You’re a liar.”

“No. Letter came just as we got orders for this mission. She wrapped her car around a tree, driving to visit her grandmother in Pasadena. Ain’t that a beauty?” Kai’s captain laughed as he stopped.

“No...” Kai was shocked and took a knee to get the news processed in his head.

“And I kept it under wraps. I didn’t want you to lose focus. Needed you at best.” Kai’s captain told him.

The Vietnamese soldier pulled him up, but Kai got up without his captor’s help and said, “Hey!”

Kai’s captain resumed walking towards the pit, “So much for that idea.”

As Kai’s captain entered the pit and looked below, he laughed and looked at Kai, “Well, look on the bright side, Kai. It’ll be all over soon.”

A devastated Kai entered the pit after his captain’s taunts and when he looked what below’s them, it was revealed that the pit over which the Americans are fighting was full of snakes. After looking down, Kai regained his focus and stood face-to-face with his captain. The battle for survival begins. They got into their fighting stance as the Vietnamese captain counted down, “One, two, three. Go!”

Back to present-day, Karai and Kai clashed with their ninja swords and they were at a stalemate.

“What’s the matter Karai? Have you forgotten what your father taught you?” Kai questioned Karai until she kicked him right on the chest.

Karai told him, “The Shredder’s dead. He took everything away from me! He took away my life! And he even took away my real father! I won’t let Hamato Yoshi’s teachings die in vain!”

“Yeah, keep your snakes away from us!” Leo shouted as he was continuing to focus on battling one of Kai’s ex-military goons while Raph and Donnie take on Big Boy and Runt.

Kai understood her as she transformed into a mutant snake and said, “It’s hard to believe you and your friends defeated Oroku, the person that took care of you during your childhood. But now, you’re nothing more than a big disappointment.”

Karai growled as she attacked Kai and they continued battling in the backyard. Kai kicked Karai in the face and told her, “Once we defeat you and your dojo. We won't just dominate the tournament, we’ll melt this whole snowflake generation.”

The two continued to a big fight, as flashbacks of Kai battling the captain in Vietnam are interspersed. Karai and Kai battled and both fight for the upper hand. Kai sometimes has the upper hand, but Karai had it for most of the fight. Eventually Kai kicks Karai in the stomach and sent him against the wall of Rarity’s house.

“Is that all you got?” The mutant snake, Karai, hissed.

In the flashback, Kai beat up his captain, while in the present day, he attacked Karai from behind with the handle of his sword and knocked her down.

The timelines continued to intersperse. As U.S. forces raided the camp, Kai’s captain was seen dangling precariously over the snake pit. Just then the U.S. forces arrive, causing the Vietnamese soldiers to flee and the American prisoners celebrated.

As the captain was dangling over the snake pit, he told Kai, “It’s over, Kai! Pull me up, Kai, pull me up! That’s an order!”

Kai looked down on him and said, “You’re right, Captain. I didn’t follow your lessons.”

The captain demanded Kai, “Come on. What are you waiting for?”

“I won’t make that same mistake again,” Kai told his captain.

“Kai!” The captain yelled.

Kai decided to embrace his captain’s mantra instead and said, “No mercy.”

And so, Kai sent his captain plummeting into the snake pit.

Meanwhile in the present-day, Kai locked Karai in a chokehold and told her, “This isn’t how I wanted this to end.”

As Karai was about to pass out, Leo showed up suddenly and saved Karai from Kai’s deadly chokehold.

“Enough. You fight with me now.” Leo demanded.

Kai took deep breaths and answered, “Alright then.”

The two combatants got into their fighting stance with their swords and they finally clashed once more. As the two combatants engaged in swordplay, Kai told Leo, “You can’t keep up this ‘defense only’ tactic forever.”

“Good thing I don’t have to.” Leo answered as he kicked Kai and knocked his swords away.

And then, when Leo was about to slash Kai with his katanas, Kai dodged them and swept him off his feet to knock off Leo’s as well. Leo got up as he dodged Kai’s stomp and they both continued fighting each other with their fists. Leo and Kai countered each other’s moves until Kai kicked him, getting the upper hand and hit him with his flying spin kick to Leo’s head. Leo fell down and as Kai picked up Leo’s katana, he told him, “It’s time for you and your sensei to reunite!”

As Kai was about to finish Leo off, Karai while still in her mutant snake form suddenly tackled Kai and she was about to kill him.

“Karai, no!” Bright Eyes shouted as everyone looked to see all the students rush in.

Kai looked in disbelief, “What?! How are you all still standing?!”

“Guess we're not as weak as you thought!” Heath Burns told his former sensei.

Sour Sweet begged Karai, “Karai, don't do it!”

“This isn't the way to stop him!” Indigo Zap said.

Karai looked back at Kai. Then she changed back into human form and turned away from him.

“Oh, Karai...” Kai chuckled, “So predictable!” He whipped out a switch blade and was about to strike, when Karai suddenly swung around, kicking the weapon out of his hand, double fisted him in the gut, and knocked him away with a kick to the chest.

Karai told him, “You know, it's so ironic. You teach your students not to underestimate their enemies, when you do exactly that. You think, that just because these kids have lost some fights, because they’e small, or because they show mercy that they’re weak! Well, if tonight has proven anything, is that your wrong! Only heartless monsters show no mercy!” Then she grabbed Kai by his chin and warned him, “And with that being said, let me make Leo's warning perfectly clear! Keep, your Viper Kais, away from our friends!”

Kai stood up after almost getting killed by his former ally and told Karai, “It’s a free country.”

“Not for you. Viper Kai’s gotta go. For good.” Leo answered as Karai nodded to him.

However, Kai proposed Leo and Karai, “Why don’t we settle this the old-fashioned way? Tournament. If we lose, I go. If you lose...”

“We won’t lose.” Karai told him as their students went to join in and stood alongside their co-senseis with Shark standing aside between the two sides.

The Viper Kai students stood alongside Sensei Kai as well after being battered and bruised.

Kai shouted, “Students! From now on, we’ll leave our enemies alone until the tournament. Do I make myself clear?”

“Yes sensei.” The Viper Kai students answered.

Sensei Kai looked at his nephew and ordered him, “Let’s go, Shark!”

However, Shark answered, “No!”

“Excuse me, nephew?” Kai questioned him.

“You heard me! And my name’s not Shark! It’s Swift Wing! And I’m done being a bully!”

Then, he proceeded to take off his Viper Kai hoodie and threw it at his feet. Sensei Kai was not pleased that his nephew made his decision to leave Viper Kai.

“If that’s your decision, fine. You are dead to me anyway.” Sensei Kai told him as he and his students left the house.

Lightning Dust also told him, “You better watch your back, you traitor!”

“Wrong! He's a friend.” Lancer got his back and told Lightning Dust as she went back to join her Viper Kai friends.

Finally, the battle was over, but the war was not over yet. So, they decided to clean up as Sunset used her journal to write a message to Princess Twilight Sparkle to help them fix Rarity’s house.

In the final Vietnam flashback, Kai unlocked the door to the prison cell and informed his comrades, “Come on, guys. We’re outta here.”

The American prisoners ran freely and celebrated, but then, Kai’s best friend told him, “Thank you, Kai. I owe you, man. If you need anything, I’ll be there.”

Kai smiled and hugged him, “You’re welcome, Dudley.”

After their embrace, the two went back to join his military comrades to be rescued by the U.S. forces.

The next morning, the students of CPA Martial Arts Club, CHS Martial Arts Club, and Shark assembled, ready for training, as the Turtles, Rainbooms, and Karai both bow to their students and each other while April, Karai, and Keno watched.

“You ready?” Leo asked.

Karai ordered, “Let’s begin!”
