Luna slept peacefully on the bed, snoring softly. She slowly opened her turquoise eyes, raised her head from the pillow and stretched. She soon looked to the left and saw Twilight sleeping peacefully, a smile soon appeared on the face of the Princess of Night. She can’t help but think that Twilight has helped her a lot since her return as Princess of Night. First was when she met Celestia after a thousand years, the second was when Twilight helped her during Nightmare Night and the third was when Twilight helped her forgive herself for what she did in the past as Nightmare Moon during the lucid dream. Luna felt she must do something in return after everything Twilight did to her, and she knew very well what she could do.
Luna then got up from the bed, arranged the blanket, opened the door, left the room and walked towards the kitchen. She could already see Twilight’s smile on her head, she was sure Twilight would love the surprise.
Upon reaching the kitchen, she looked for the cookbook, until she found it stored in a green cupboard. She took the book with her turquoise magic and closed the cabinet. When she placed the book on a table, she opened it and looked for the pancake recipe. Upon finding the desired recipe, she started to read what she should get to prepare the pancake.
After an hour, in the bedroom, Twilight slowly opened her eyes, lifted her head from the pillow and closed her eyes as she yawned. She felt that she had one of the best hours of sleep, it was like she hadn’t slept in days.
“Good morning, love.”
Twilight couldn’t help but smile when she heard the sweet voice coming from the bedroom door, she looked at the door and saw Luna with a food clipboard with a pancake with honey, blackberry and raspberry. She watched her marefriend approach and put the clipboard on the bed. Twilight was speechless about it. Did Luna make breakfast for her? She needed to confess that she would never have imagined that Luna would make breakfast for her, since it was usually Spike who made the food for her.
“Luna, did you make breakfast for me?” asked the purple alicorn.
“Yes, consider this as a way of thanking you for everything you’ve done to me,” Luna replied. Twilight can’t help but smile about it.
“You didn’t have to do this, Luna,” she said.
“No, Twilight. I needed to somehow repay for everything you did to me, it’s the least I can do for you to have helped me since my return,” said Luna.
Twilight seemed thrilled and speechless by the sweet words of her marefriend. She knew she had been helping Luna since she returned to Equestria, but if there was one thing the purple alicorn didn’t expect, it was Luna making breakfast for her as a thank you.
“Gee… thanks, Luna,” she said with a sweet smile.
Luna in response just smiled lovingly, watching Twilight remove the blanket from her abdomen, approach the tray and lie down on her abdomen to start her meal. But even though Luna already delivered breakfast to her marefriend, she still hadn’t finished the retribution, because she also had in mind what to do while Twilight ate. She then approached the left side of the bed, lay down on her abdomen and wrapped the small alicorn in a warm embrace.
Twilight soon stopped eating when she felt two hooves wrap her in a hug. She swallowed the piece of pancake, looked at Luna and said, “Luna, what are you doing?”
“I’m cuddling you to make you feel comfortable while enjoying your breakfast,” Luna replied.
Twilight soon smiled at Luna’s phrase. Although she did not imagine Luna cuddling her during her meal, the purple alicorn was not bothered about it, she was even loving it. Mainly because it made her feel comfortable. She snuggled into the cozy embrace and went back to eating.
“How was your sleep?” asked Luna.
Twilight looked at Luna and said as soon as she had swallowed the piece of pancake, “It was wonderful, and yours?”
“Mine too,” Luna replied.
“Did you have any real duties in the Dream World?” asked Twilight, knowing that when Luna finished her royal duties in Dream World, Luna slept in bed with her.
“No, I was free from real duties last night, which meant I could go to sleep straight away,” Luna replied. As Twilight was now chewing on a piece of pancake, she only agreed with the answer received.
After about two minutes, Twilight felt Luna lovingly caress her on the cheek with a front hoof, resulting in a pink flush appearing on her cheeks. She felt like those schoolgirls who blushed easily when they were close to their beloved pony. Luna, obviously noticed that, and can’t help but find it cute.
“I see somepony’s blushing,” said the Princess of Night with a smile, stopping to stroke Twilight. Twilight’s ears perked up at what Luna said, resulting in her blushing even more.
“Ah! Stop it, Luna! You’re making me blush even more,” said the purple alicorn with a smile. Luna laughed at the answer she received.
“That’s the intention, love. You are just cute when you blush,” said the Princess of Night. Twilight blushed even more when she heard the last sentence, and Luna’s smile didn’t waver.
Upon recovering, Twilight went back to eating her pancake, she had to confess that Luna cooked well.
“How’s the pancake, love?” asked the dark blue alicorn in a loving tone.
Twilight swallowed the piece of pancake and said, “It’s delicious, Luna.”
“You’re welcome. This is my first time cooking pancakes, and I made sure it was delicious,” said Luna.
“I know you did, Luna,” said Twilight, now giving Luna a kiss on the cheek before heading back to her meal. Luna blushed with the kiss received.
After ten minutes, Twilight was almost done eating her pancake, but she soon felt Luna give her nuzzles, resulting in the Princess of Friendship blushing with a smile. She needed to confess that she was loving how this breakfast was going, mainly because it had everything she liked: cuddles and nuzzles.
“Are you enjoying this?” asked Luna, noting the smile and blush on the purple alicorn’s face.
“Y-yes, Luna,” Twilight replied sheepishly. Luna, in response, only smiled before continuing the affection.
After five minutes, Twilight finished her breakfast. And because of that, Luna stopped hugging Twilight, got up from the bed, picked up the food clipboard and gave a kiss on the cheek of her marefriend.
“What did you think of your breakfast in bed, love?” asked the dark blue alicorn.
“I loved it. Thank you, Luna, for making this breakfast for me and for making it so adorable,” Twilight said with a sweet smile.
“You’re welcome, love, I’m glad you loved it,” said Luna with a loving smile, before turning around and leaving the room with the intention of going to the kitchen to wash the dish with crumbs.
Twilight just watched Luna leave the room with a smile on her face, she never imagined that Luna would make breakfast for her and cuddle her while having breakfast, but she loved what Luna did for her this morning, because she knew that Luna did it with a lot of love.
