//------------------------------// // Obstáculos // Story: Equestria Ninja Girls: Viper Kai // by AmethystMajesty25 //------------------------------// The next morning, the Rainbooms and Turtles were training the Young Ninjas in Pinkie’s backyard to prepare for the martial arts tournament in CHS. When she was about to start her training, Bright Eyes started to see flashbacks of her fight with Lightning Dust and Blade Swipe taking the fall. It was like a nightmare being played repeatedly over and over in her brain. She couldn’t shake that feeling and decided to ran off. “I can’t do it! I just can’t!” Bright Eyes shouted as she went inside the house. Bright Eyes lied down on the couch and covered herself with a blanket, feeling more afraid than ever. Her friends felt worried after watching Bright Eyes ran away until Leo spoke up, “Don’t worry, I’ll talk to her. Just give us a moment.” His brothers and the Rainbooms nodded as Leo went back inside the house while his other two friends resumed coaching their students. Leo found her covered in a blanket on the couch. He decided to sat down right and asked her, “Hey there, Bright Eyes. Do you mind if I talk to you?” Bright Eyes was silent and refused to answer. Leo encouraged her, “Look. You don’t have to talk to me. I just want to let you know that I’m always here for you. Right?” However, Bright Eyes still didn’t answer. Leo asked her again, “Is this about that girl, Lightning Dust?” Bright Eyes took off the blanket and nodded. She cried, “Yeah... It all started when me, Teddy, and the Young Six were visiting here...” One year ago, Bright Eyes, Teddy, and the Young Six were visiting CHS. “Lightning Dust and her friends, Rolling Thunder and Short Fuse, were going to do a dangerous stunt to try and one up on Rainbow Dash. I got worried and so I told Principal Celestia and she gave them all detention. She also banned them from ever trying any stunts on school grounds. Lightning Dust swore she'd make me pay, and boy did she make a good threat. She and her friends jumped me in the hall and she attacked me! I barely managed to hold my own against her and she roughed up pretty bad. She even scratched my arm. Blade tried to break us up, but Rolling Thunder attacked him and threw him over the second floor! And he got hurt! Real bad!” Bright Eyes continued with tears running down on her face, “I've been afraid of Lightning Dust ever since! When I saw her the other night, all I could think about was that horrible day and I froze! And last night, I had a nightmare that she attacked me! My brain could feel it starting, and so my body just... stopped. It felt like my heart was going to jump out of my chest. I’m scared! I’ve never been so alone.” Leo knew what it was like to have fear inside. He laid a hand on Bright Eye’s shoulder and told her, “You’re not alone. I get it. Believe me, I've been traumatized like that too. Like when I got injured by the Shredder during the Kraang invasion. And me and the rest of my team almost got killed by the Joker. In fact, there was a time when I almost lost to fear. Bright Eyes took interest of what Leo said and asked him, “You did? When was that?” Leo sighed and thought about it. But then, he got an idea and told her, “It's better if I show you.” Leo stood up and held out his hand to his student. After a moment, Bright Eyes finally took his hand and they went out to find a familiar place that Leo remembered. Meanwhile, Sensei Kai arrived in his office to put his bag away until he saw a picture frame. He went over to his desk and looked at the picture. It was an old photo of him and his two war buddies when they were at the military during the Vietnam War. He looked back and remembered the day Kai went on a stealth mission with his two comrades and their captain. During their mission, he hesitated because he was waiting on his friend to set the bombs, but it ultimately cost him the mission and lost his friend as a result. After feeling a bit of guilt inside, Kai put down the picture frame and sensed something in his dojo. He exited from his office and saw three Foot ninjas standing on the mat, feeling hostile with swords in their hands. Kai chuckled, “Well, well, well, I never thought I’d see the Foot Clan again. Now tell me, what brings you gentlemen here?” “Leave now or you will suffer the consequences.” One of the ninjas demanded as they got into their battle stance. Kai sighed and pointed the mat, “You know, I just cleaned the blood off that mat,” Then Kai looked at the ninjas with a sinister smile on his face, “Oh well.” Later on, Leo took Bright Eyes to the ruins of the Shredder's mansion. Leo asked her, “Do you know this place, Bright Eyes?” “It's where you defeated Super Shredder.” Bright Eyes answered. Leo nodded, “Yes. But it's also where I almost gave in to fear,” Bright Eyes stared as he went on. During the final showdown between the ninjas and Super Shredder. “Super Shredder had us overpowered and beaten. He even sprained my arm. I was terrified. I thought we were all done for. But then I saw Master Splinter. And he said to me...” “Fear nothing!” Leo continued explaining, “So I got back up and defeated the Shredder once and for all. “I guess Master Splinter always had a way of fixing things.” Bright Eyes said. Leo told her, “There’s no question his advice was something that I needed to hear. Master Splinter helped, but ultimately, it was me that overcame my fear. I may still live with that fear on some level, but I just try to not let fear ever win the battle,” Then he looked at Bright Eyes, “But you. Only you can conquer your fear, Bright Eyes. No one else. I promise, I will be there... always to help you, no matter where we are in the world. I will always be your sensei. Just like Master Splinter was there for me, my brothers, and my friends.” After hearing Leo’s dramatic speech, Bright Eyes felt much better and smiled. Back at Pinkie’s house, the Rainbooms and Turtles finished training the Young Ninjas and Rainbow Dash asked her students, “So, who's ready to take down Viper Kai?” Before one of them answered, someone shouted, “I am!” Everyone turned around and found Bright Eyes with a look of determination. Bright Eyes told everyone, “This time, we're gonna show those Viper Kai students that the Hamato Clan won't stay down!” Leo smiled and nodded as he watched his students from inside the house. Back in the Viper Kai dojo, the Viper Kai students stood on a new mat as Sensei Kai walked to the mat and stood in front of his students. He informed them, “We are only as strong as our weakest links. When we remove these links, this is what’s left. We are one unit. With one united purpose. Forward strike. Ready?,” His students got into their fighting stance and Kai shouted, “Ai!” “Kyo!” The students shouted. The Viper Kai students continued practicing their forward strikes together while Sensei Kai was continued to give them more tips, “You’re whole life, you’ve been told to be good. But good is only a matter of perspective. Always remember your enemies think that they’re doing what’s right. They think they’re the hero and you’re the villain. But now, you know the truth. There is no good. There is no bad. Only weak... or strong. And now that we’ve shed our weakness, it’s time to show our strength. If you do that, I promise you... you will be unstoppable.”
