Today I can say I felt like I earned my keep. Through an honest days labor. No dirty jobs, no debts, no violet deeds.
Boy, would the others laugh if they saw me doing ranch work. Pushing carts, picking apples, feeding chickens. I tell you what - it is certainly something to milk a cow and have a conversation with her! Betsy was her name. Wonderful girl(?) she was.
She was patient with me as I figured out how to milk her. It was surprisingly easy. She called me a natural compared to pony counterparts.
I could get used to this.
