Chapter 2

Barry Allen didn't feel like getting up today. It had only been a week since his future daughter, Nora had been wiped from existence; and Barry was still adjusting to her being gone. Finally, Barry got out of bed, quickly took a shower, brushed his teeth and got dressed. Iris West-Allen, Barry's wife was making breakfast and Barry knew what that meant, burnt pancakes. Iris was not the best cook, she did good most days, but pancakes were not her specialty, unless bad pancakes were her specialty.

Iris turned from the stove and saw Barry before giving him a smile.

"Morning honey." She said. Barry gave her a nice smile.
"Morning, pancakes?"
"Yea, I think I've finally outdone myself, these won't be terrible." Iris said turning her attention to the stove.
"Now, I never said your pancakes were terrible.." Barry began.
"Noo, but I know sometimes these don't turn out the way I want them, or ever." Iris said.

Iris put three pancakes on a plate, that was for Barry, and then put two pancakes on her own plate along with a banana. Barry looked down at his plate and sighed.

"I'm sorry if I didn't get them right this time, but I hope you can at leas try." Iris said sitting down with her plate.
"No, it's not that." Barry said.
"Nora?" Iris asked. Barry looked up at her and then back down at his plate.
"I miss her like crazy." Iris said, "She really was amazing."
Barry smiled, "Yea, she really was."
"But I don't think she would want her parents to dwell for the rest of their lives, she wouldn't want us laying in the bed, and eating melted ice cream." Iris said placing her hand on Barry's.
"Ok, I wouldn't be doing that." Barry said.
Iris laughed, "Me neither, although melted ice cream does sound good."

Barry cut a piece of the pancakes and then placed it in his mouth. As he chewed a surprised look grew on his face.

"Wow." he said.
"Are they...passable?" Iris asked.
"Yea," Barry said taking another bite, "These are definitely passable."
"Yes!" Iris said happily and kissed Barry's cheek. "Anyway, did you hear anything odd last night?"
"No? Why what happened?" Barry asked.
"Well apparently," Iris said getting out her iPad, "a strange weather phenomena appeared last night."

Iris showed Barry what was on the iPad. Barry began to read.

"Rainbow Wrecks City." Barry read, "mysterious rainbow colored explosion in the sky caused property damage and a number of people were hospitalized." Barry looked up at Iris. "Looks really serious."
"Yea, any idea what that could've been?" Iris asked.
"Not sure, we'll probably find out at STAR Labs." Barry said.

Iris and Barry finished their breakfast and headed out to STAR Labs.

Cisco Ramon and Caitlin Snow were in The Cortex, the main room they and the rest of team talked in STAR Labs. Cisco and Caitlin seemed to be having a heated discussion.

"It's not possible." Cisco said.
"It is." Caitlin said.
"I don't believe you." Cisco said back to to Caitlin.
"You should." Caitlin said looking at the computer in front of her.
"I'm telling you, your theory is wrong." Cisco said as he walked up next to Caitlin.
"It's not a theory if it's fact." Caitlin said before her eyes glowed white and then back to normal.
"Let me guess, Frost agrees with you?" Cisco asked folding his arms.
"Yep, that's two against one." Caitlin said.
"I don't think you and your meta personality counts as two." Cisco said making a gesture.
"She's grown as a person, let's not be mean." Caitlin said.
"Ok fine, you both win." Cisco said giving up.

Barry and Iris arrived as soon as Cisco spoke.

"Did we miss something?" Barry asked confused.
"No, nothing really." Cisco said.
"Yea, we're good." Caitlin said with a smile.
"Did you guys hear about that rainbow explosion last night?" Iris asked.
"You mean the rainboom?" Cisco said tapping the screen on the computer.
"I'm not calling it that." Caitlin said.
"Do you have any idea what it was?" Barry asked.
"I believe.." Cisco began displaying scans on the screen across from the computer, "we do."

The screen showed scans of the explosion and another image. Barry, Cisco and Caitlin recognized the second image.

"Is that a.." Barry began.
"a breach." Cisco finished.
"Have you ever seen a breach that was so...colorful?" Iris asked.
"Never, this is weird." Cisco said.
"But not as weird as this." Caitlin said as another image appeared on the screen.

It was a video someone recorded on their phone. As it played, Team Flash could see the rainbow explosion but then noticed something else. A stream of rainbow light came shooting out of the explosion and seemed to have touched down somewhere in the city.

"So you think something came through the breach and is now here?" Iris asked.
"Or someone." Cisco said.
"Ok, I can check that out." Barry said as he walked over to his suit on display. "Let me know on comms where that thing landed."

Barry put on his suit using his super speed and then zoomed out of STAR Labs.

Rainbow Dash was flying so fast in the city streets, she was a blur.

"This place is awesome!" she said happily.

Rainbow then soared up a tall building where she could see the whole city.

"Ok, Dash, you can't stay here forever." She said to herself, "Someone must know how you can get home."

Rainbow Dash shot straight off the building and zoomed past the buildings, looking at the sights.
