//------------------------------// // Short: Ash Ketchum Fanclub // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Ash, Pikachu, Hollow and the Swords of Justice. These 7 have constantly helped those across Equestria, whether through teaching them about Pokemon or saving their lives as well. Ash and Pikachu. A duo who are inseparable with their selfless and infinite drive to help those in need with their honourable and honest hearts that continue to burn. Hollow. Sharp on the eyes but a charitable and altruistic nature to those who may seem unnerving to others whilst also spreading as much knowledge as he can. Keldeo. Young and brash, but with a clear drive to grow and better himself for the safety of others as flows like the water. Terrakion. With unparalleled strength and immense charging skills. Virizion. With great speed and a clear sense of justice. And Cobalion. The leader of the Swords of Justice. Cool and calm with a body of heart and steel. These four are legendary as they are heroic. And they've rightfully cemented themselves as some of Equestria's greatest heroes, even if they've been around shorter than most legends. And with those legends, comes fame. This is one story that involves fame, focusing on Ash and Pikachu this time. Ponyville, day. "Alright!" Scootaloo exclaimed as she was currently inside of the Cutie Mark Crusaders treehouse. "The Ash Ketchum Fanclub is officially open!" The CMC, mainly Scootaloo, had made a second Fanclub. The first was Rainbow Dash, the second ended up being Ash and to an extent Pikachu. It was bound to happen eventually. However, the members of this Ash Ketchum Fanclub were much more varied than usual. Instead of it being very young fillies, the other selection of ponies were teenagers surprisingly. And instead of them all being from Ponyville, some came from different parts of Equestria. Ash had really built a following from his various actions. Being that this a Fanclub focused on Ash and involves Pokemon, things are bound to be vastly different than the usual Fanclub. Although, despite this being created by mostly Scootaloo, they had actually taken inspiration from the Pokemon Fanclubs plastered all over the Pokemon World. This could be considered a Pokemon Fanclub, although most clubs don't involve the humans but just the Pokemon alone. So in a sense, this was Equestria's first Pokemon Fanclub, even if it wasn't official. "Just to make it fit..." Scootaloo held in her hoof a replica of Ash's hat. All of them did. The hat was a sort of member certification. Putting it on means that they were true members of the Ash Ketchum Fanclub and to indicate as to which club they're apart of. "Fits pretty well!" Apple Bloom said. "First order of business! We're gonna hang out and talk about Ash and then we're gonna...Umm..." Scootaloo pondered for a bit. "Ah, I'll think of something later!" The Fanclubs activities could officially begin. All they were focused on doing at the moment was just having fun, chatting about Ash, showing off their hoof-made clay sculptures that they made of him back home and some of his Pokemon. Outside, Twilight and the others had seen how there was now the label, Ash Ketchum Fanclub next to Rainbow Dash's name, making it a double Fanclub. "Ash Ketchum Fanclub...huh?" "Twilight said. "It was gonna happen one day." Rainbow Dash flew up as she wanted to see this Fanclub for herself. "I don't mind having a partner Fanclub." "Does it count as one of those Pokemon Fanclubs?" Pinkie climbed up the ladder with Rarity, Applejack and Spike. "Only one way to find out." Fluttershy had opened up the door, seeing what ongoings were occurring inside of this Fanclub. So far, it was fairly tame for something being related to one of the most hyperactive beings out there. They were all chatting, showing off their Ash-created objects whilst Scootaloo and her friends think about what to do next. "We can't just keep chatting about Ash...We need to do something active." Sweetie Belle crossed her hooves. "Yeah, yeah I'm thinking." Scootaloo nodded. " "Well, would you look at all of this?" Twilight commented, walking up to the trio. "Guess you couldn't resist making this, huh?" "Twilight? Everypony?" Scootaloo turned to them. "Ah, well, I had to do it sometime. ya know." "We were gonna call it the Ash Fanclub but using his last name rolls off the tongue more." Sweetie Belle grinned. "Does Ash know about this?" Fluttershy asked. "Oh, uh...Nah." Scootaloo shook her head. "Guess we should've told him first." "But he's gonna notice it for sure. So many ponies are gonna come here because of him." Apple Bloom spoke. "Like the other ones coming later today." "There's more?!" Twilight's eyes widened. "I don't think there's enough room for more ponies in here." "Yeah, we know." Scootaloo sighed. "But we gotta open our Fanclub somewhere. "Our treehouse is the only real place we each own." "It's what we got so far." Apple Bloom adjusted the hat on her head. "Then how about..." Applejack thought for a moment. "We just build a new one?" "Build a new treehouse?" Apple Bloom looked up at her big sister. "Or even better. Built a bigger and new Fanclub!" Pinkie bounced up. "Oh. Yeah okay, that works!" Scootaloo nodded. "But where are we even gonna put it?" "We'll handle that. Right now, you all can focus on this Fanclub at the moment. Small and niche are fairly fun in their own ways." Twilight looked around as she went up to an Ash doll made out of wool. "What are you three even planning for a Fanclub about Ash?" Rainbow asked them. "Well, I wasn't too sure at first. But I think I've got something!" Scootaloo stood up. "Since Ash is participating in the Pokemon World Championships in his world, we're gonna do everything we can to support him!" "Yeah! If he beat Leon, then he'll be the strongest trainer in the world!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed. "So we're gonna make a bunch of cheering objects for him!" Apple Bloom nodded aggressively. "Now you're thinking big!" Pinkie appeared behind them. "If you want somepony to help you with cheering objects, then leave it to me!" "Really? Thanks, Pinkie Pie! You wanna wear this?" Scootaloo held a hat in her hoof. "Ash's hat?" Pinkie took the hat. "It's to let everypony know you're apart of our Fanclub. Do you wanna become apart of our Fanclub?" Sweetie Belle adjusted her hat. "Well..." Pinkie looked at the hat, squinting her eyes at it. "I've never had the chance to join a Fanclub before so...Yes please!" "If you're going to be supporting him in the World Championships, then you'll need to really display something that boosts his confidence." Rarity suggested. "Doesn't Ash always boost his own confidence?" Rainbow Dash turned to her. "Yes, but you can never be too safe." Rarity nodded her head. "I got that one! Pom poms work well, ya know!" Pinkie Pie took out some pom poms. "I make a pretty good cheerleader, you know." "And Rainbow Dash! We wanna help you with the Equestria League! We're gonna be focusing on both you and Ash!" Scootaloo grinned. "All at once? Thanks." Rainbow Dash rubbed Scootaloo's head. "And if you get to that point, then I'll cheer you on when you also end up reaching the league." "You're already off to a good start with supporting Ash." Twilight flew over. "I'm sure he'll love it." "Thanks. So when is this new Fanclub building gonna be made?" Sweetie Belle asked. "Uhh..." Twilight began to do the math. If they were to build a new building with the assistance of their Pokemon, especially Big Mac's Machamp, then it would be done in possibly a few weeks. "I'd say a few weeks." "Actually, hold on." Applejack raised her hoof. "Forget what I said about building a new treehouse...I think I've got a better idea." Outside Ponyville, right near the Everfree Forest. The Mane 6 and the CMC had all gathered around at one spot as Big Macintosh's Machamp had come along. Whatever Applejack had thought of that could be better than just building a new Fanclub must good. "What exactly is your better idea?" Rarity wondered. "With Machamp's muscles, we could get to work and finish it in a short amount of time." "I know." Applejack nodded. "But I've got something that hasn't been used yet." Applejack looked down on the ground. "...The ground?" Pinkie tilted her head. "Nah." Applejack shook her head. "You see, Cold told me about how he and Emerald had a secret hideout that they would hang out in, bringing stuff over from the Rift's request. Apparently, they left that hideout a long time ago when Darkrai found them. So it's just been there without anypony entering anymore." "Wait. Underground? A secret base? Like my party cave?" Pinkie gawked at the ground. "Something like that. Alright, Machamp. Get to work." Applejack commanded. "Champ!" The Superpower Pokemon dug two of his arms into the ground, breaking through them as he got to searching. He flailed his hands about, trying to find something solid besides some rocks. It didn't take long for his hands to feel some sort of wood-like substance. He took a moment to feel it as it wasn't rough wood like a tree but instead it was very smooth wood, like the walls of a house. That made Machamp tear open the grass itself as a huge hole had been made by his hand movements. The ground trembled, almost making every pony lose their balance as it almost reached most of Ponyville with the trees nearly falling over. With Machamp tearing the ground apart into a perfect circle, the secret base that had long been abandoned had finally been revealed to everypony at last as they all peered their heads over the hole. They looked down to see that even though it had been abandoned, it was still in perfect shape after all these months of living underground. It still had two seats, mostly for Emerald and Cold since they were the only ones who used to be here more often, a hilariously long table that stretched across the entire room with nothing on it at all and as for the room space itself, it was impressively spacious. From how spacious it was, at least 100 ponies could fit inside of it. Seeing this also made Applejack and the others think that maybe at one point, there were going to be 100 Rift ponies instead of the usual 3 they know of. "This is perfect!" Pinkie exclaimed as she jumped into the hole, landing face-first on the wooden floor. "It's large enough to hold all of Ponyville!" "There's not a single sign of it being dirty at all." Rarity used her magic to float down gently into the base. "Is this the work of cosmic energy?" "This place ain't got any doors." Applejack showed how there was no entrance in this entire base, minus the newly-created hole that Machamp had created. "Cold and Emerald would use their cosmic energy to get out of here. So this place ain't got a lick of cobwebs or nothing." "Well, this is certainly an amazing suggestion, Applejack." Twilight nodded. "We might need to do some major renovation for this to look like a Fanclub." "We'll have to get rid of this wooden floor first. It's smooth but..." Rarity scraped her hoof on the floor. "Hey, everypony. Look at this." Spike called out for his friends as he had spotted a piece of paper on the table that had something very familiar on it. Spike held up the paper, showing it to all of them. This paper wasn't just an ordinary paper. It was the same paper that Cold Colt and Emerald Aura used to select who to bring back as a threat for Equestria. They realized this since one of the many names on that list was none other than Ghetsis. "Ghetsis?!" They all gasped, spotting Ghetsis' name. "Let me see that!" Twilight exclaimed as Spike gave her the list, getting a closer look at it. Her eyes didn't deceive her at all. Ghetsis's name was indeed on that list. "I don't believe it...Why is Ghetsis here?" "I think I know why." Applejack said. "Remember what I said about Cold and Emerald telling the Rift to bring stuff over. And I think that list is why. Got a whole bunch of stuff that they were planning on using against us and Equestria." "That's awful..." Fluttershy whimpered. "Yeah." Applejack nodded. "Shame that Cold is kinda apart of the reason as to why Ghetsis is here. But I ain't gonna hate him forever because of that. "We know who Ghetsis is but...who are these other people?" Rarity pointed her list at the other names besides Ghetsis. These were the names that were all on the list, referring to people who had never been brought back by the Rift. Cyrus. Hunter J. Phantom. Zero. Marcus. Vicious. Annie and Oakley. Lawrence the Third. Alva. Grings Kodai. And finally Lysandre. Every single one of these people on this list has had two fates that have occurred for them. They have either been arrested and put in jail or worse, they had been destroyed. One of them was even from centuries ago. "So if they never chose Ghetsis, then some of these guys would've been picked instead." Twilight observed as she noticed how Ghetsis's name was crossed out. "Are they worse than him?" Spike asked. "I don't want to know how bad they were or even think about it." Twilight shook her head. "Let's just be glad this was scrapped after Ghetsis." Twilight crumpled the paper ball, tossing it away. "To think that the Rift can just bring anypony dangerous back...It's a bit scary to think about it." Sweetie Belle shuddered. "Yeah...What if it brings somepony worse than Ghetsis...?" Apple Bloom quivered as she and her friends were starting to think of the worst-case scenario. "Then we'll be there to protect ya'll." Applejack pulled her little sister towards her. "No need to worry." "A-Alright." Apple Bloom stuttered. "Let's take our minds off that and start thinking about how we'll design this second Fanclub. I've already got something in mind myself." Rarity said with pride. "We're gonna add a lot of stuff here since this is much bigger!" Scootaloo exclaimed. "We'll have to build some sort of ladder or slope to let everypony come down here." Applejack recommended. "Make it slide!" Pinkie wrapped her hoof around Applejack's neck. "That way it'll be extra fun when coming in!" "Then, in that case, we'll need the smoothest materials out there. A porcelain floor might work for this." Twilight nodded. "I was thinking the stuff that bouncy castles were made of!" Pinkie giggled as her friends did the same. They discussed the many ideas they had brewing for this Fanclub as Twilight and her friends had unknowingly become members of the Fanclub in a way. Ponyville, late afternoon. The day was coming to an end. Twilight and everypony had left the secret base in the ground as Machamp patched it up, making sure nopony falls in it by accident. The ideas for the future Ash Ketchum Fanclub had been cemented with new ones lurking inside of their heads as they all returned home to rest. However, inside of the base, the crumpled piece of paper had been lifted by the cosmic energy of the Rift. The paper had been uncrumpled, floating in the air as the Rift itself had arrived at the base. Ever since Spike found the piece of paper, its interest had been piqued. The Rift wasn't planning on bringing any of these people back since it felt like Ghetsis was perfect enough. Ghetsis had already made himself to be Equestria's largest threat due to how sinister he is compared to everyone else. He was the perfect pick. However, the Rift did feel like bringing back one person, who wasn't as dangerous as Ghetsis, but dangerous enough to create interesting scenarios for its own amusement. It created a cosmic hand out of thin air as it moved its finger across the paper, wondering who it wanted to bring back to stir up some chaos. "I think I will pick...you." The Rift had chosen someone as the paper faded away into cosmic dust, no longer being needed anymore. Whoever the Rift had brought back is sure to amuse it for the coming days in both worlds as the journey continues. Chapter 293 End.
