Whether it be in the forests, the skies, the seas, and even space itself, you can find them all over the world. No matter how far you may be.
In a vortex of complete chaos and nothingness, a single egg comes into being, which then hatches into Arceus, the first Pokemon in existence and the creator of the Pokemon universe itself.
While Arceus is the first Pokemon in existence, there is one Pokemon who is the ancestor of the Pokemon living on Earth. A Pokemon that is said to hold the genes of all Pokemon.
Mew.
Pokemon School, Canterlot.
Today, the students are having their break with some of them heading home for the day. And the best two places to hang out for the meantime is either the canteen or Canterlot Gardens.
Ash was currently here as well, wanting to observe the school for himself and to see what goes on in there. Unfortunately, he arrived a bit too late to see most of the classes, but he'll definitely have the opportunity to see more later on.
But for the meantime, he and his friends were just hanging out alongside Celestia and Luna, just for fun and as friends and nothing else.
"Is it safe to eat these?" Pinkie raised a poffin.
"I believe only Pokemon are allowed to eat it, Pinkie." Rarity used her magic to take the poffin away from Pinkie Pie, giving it to her Pheromosa.
"Mosa."
"Ash. Do you have any plans for the Pokemon Festival that's coming soon?" Twilight asked.
"Plans? I got one plan. Just have a bunch of fun!" Ash grinned.
"Pikachu!"
"That's the spirit!" Pinkie appeared behind him. "I heard this year's Festival is gonna be longer than the first one. For 2 weeks!"
"2 weeks?" Luna looked up, thinking about what she could do at the festival for just 2 weeks. "Hmmm..."
"2 weeks is correct." Celestia nodded. "But you should also know that other species will be joining us at the second festival."
"Others?" Spike turned to her.
"The Dragons and Griffons have taken a further interest in Pokemon from what I've heard. Along with the yaks. You can expect brand new faces to join the festival very soon." Celestia explained.
"The more the better." Ash stood up, stretching his arms. Just then, his Xtransceiver started ringing. He picked it up to see that it was a call from Goh. "Hm? Goh?"
"Pika?"
By answering the call, he wondered what news Goh had to offer today. "Yo, G-"
"ASH! You gotta hear this!" Goh screamed in Ash's ear, startling everyone around him. "This is major news!"
"Ah...W-W-What is it, Goh?" Ash stuttered as everypony leaned in.
"There's been psychic energy detected somewhere that might belong to Mew!"
"Eh? Mew?!" Ash gasped.
"Say what?!" Pinkie Pie jumped up as she hopped on Ash's shoulder. "Mew?!"
"For real?!" Rainbow Dash flew up.
"Who is Mew?" Celestia wondered.
"Mew..." Luna thought to herself for a moment. "I thought it's real name was Mewtwo..."
"I've heard of that thing. Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Twilight met it before, right?" Applejack said.
"Oh yeah. It tricked me into thinking it was a Rayquaza one time." Rainbow Dash nodded.
"It got me too," Twilight spoke.
"I met Mew twice!" Pinkie said with a proud grin.
"Professor Cerise has arranged a boat for us to head to the island where Mew might be! I might get a chance to catch it!" Goh exclaimed. "It's located on an island called Cello Island! Apparently, it's an isle surrounded by steep cliffs that keep people away. It's very mysterious!"
"Sounds like an adventure!" Ash smiled. "What do you guys think?" Ash turned to face the ponies.
"A chance to see Mew again? Sure!" Pinkie was already up for it.
"It's the ancestor of all Pokemon. There's still a lot I want to know about Mew! So I'm in!" So was Twilight.
"Rarity and I haven't gotten the chance to see Mew yet so sure." Applejack nodded.
"Mew might be our chance to break Grogar's seal in Pyrestar's world..." Luna stepped forward. "Sister. We'll go with them."
"We?" Celestia turned to Luna.
"A while back, Pyrestar and I were told by Ash about how Mew had the Psychic power to break the seal in Pyrestar's world. If Mew truly is there, then we can request its assistance."
"I see..." Celestia nodded gently. "Plus, Mew sounds like it already has a good relationship with Pinkie Pie. Very well." Celestia and Luna stepped forward. "We'll come along with you all."
"Huh? That's a pretty big crowd.." Goh gawked. "But it's fine. Let's hurry! I wanna meet Mew so badly right now!"
"Yeah! I'm getting all fired up!" Ash bellowed.
"Pikachu!"
And so it was.
They were all set on a path to find Mew at Cello Island. Their anticipation was building. But little did they know, they would find something beyond Mew.
Cello Island.
Ash was the first one to set foot here with everypony else exiting the boat that brought them all here. They were definitely far away from home now. From both the populated side of Kanto and Equestria.
This was uncharted territory for them.
"So this is Cello Island." Ash looked up at the cliffs of the island and how tall they appeared to be. "Mew's somewhere here."
"What are we waiting for?! Let's go!" Pinkie hopped on Ash's hat as she bounced ahead of everypony else. Pinkie Pie is the only pony who has met Mew more than once, much like how Ash has also met Mew a couple of times during his many adventures.
Passion helped Celestia off the boat as they all made their way towards the further reaches of Cello Island. But they weren't alone.
Two other visitors decide to stop by at Cello Island. The only two who seem to enjoy spectating over everything and continue to plan many ways to affect Equestria.
Lucien and Sienna, who were both now finally on ground level instead of just being in the sky all the time. They were looking forward to this since they've seen how this moment in the original timeline plays out.
For once, they wouldn't have to use cosmic energy to intervene since the ponies were involved in this.
"Things are just getting better and better. I can't wait until they bump into him." Lucien smiled.
"What do you think will happen? Has he ever even seen ponies yet?"
"Maybe. But I don't think he's left this island in a long time. Come on. I wanna see how this turns out." Lucien ran off with Sienna following behind.
Meanwhile. The party had come across the expansive wilderness that dwelled in Cello Island, viewing its verdant beauty for themselves.
"Alright!" Ash tightened his gloves. "Where should we start?"
"I saw we go North!" Rainbow Dash flew up. "North is always the best direction!"
"I got a solution to that." Goh dug into his pocket, pulling out his sensory device. "Ta-dah! We're close enough that my special sensor can pick up Mew's psychic energy."
"Oooh..." Pinkie gazed at the device.
Goh looked at his device, seeing that it was beeping but with nothing detected so far. "Huh? Nothing detected?"
"Then let's just look wherever!" Ash patted Goh on the back before running off.
"Audi will make sure that her ears pick up on Mew's cry." Fluttershy walked off with her Audino and Chikorita.
"Audino!"
"This wilderness is fairly expansive." Celestia narrowed her eyes. "Will we be able to find Mew so quickly?"
"Mew's a playful little fella! It could be anywhere! So let's get going!" Pinkie Pie dashed off.
Soon, everyone began exploring this gigantic jungle in hopes of finding the Ancient Pokemon Mew.
"Hup!" Ash jumped off a cliff, sliding down it as everyone had followed him. The first spot of this jungle-like island they came across gave them the sight of Pokemon living here.
Audino kept her ears focused on Mew, searching for its cry. But all she could hear so far were just other Pokemon cries not related to Mew.
Rainbow Dash preferred to fly and oversee from the skies. She believed that a birds-eye view was the better way to spot something.
Just as they were walking along, the first Pokemon to encounter them was a Sandslash which popped out of the ground after burrowing.
"Slash!"
"Oh, hello there, Sandslash. Have you seen a Pokemon named Mew around?" Fluttershy said as she walked up to the Mouse Pokemon.
"Sand...Slash!" Sandslash suddenly swung its claws, cutting a strand of Fluttershy's mane off as well as almost hitting her face.
Fluttershy gasped as she backed away from Sandslash, falling back onto Audino's arms. "Huh?!
"
"Slash!" The Mouse Pokemon targeted all of them, running at them with a hostile intent with its claws being sharpened.
"Ah! Poke Ball, go!" Goh quickly tossed a Poke Ball, hitting Sandslash in the face. The Poke Ball absorbed Sandslash, saving them from being cut as it began to shake.
1...2...3...Gotcha! Sandslash was caught.
"Phew. First catch of the day." Goh picked up the Poke Ball.
"Sandslash are usually so welcoming..." Fluttershy sighed.
"Hey. That cave over there seems pretty secluded." Spike pointed at a cave. "Maybe a Pokemon as important as Mew might be there."
"Good thinking, Spike. And just to make sure we don't bump into anything in there..." Rarity took out her Poke Ball, sending out her Ampharos.
"Pharos!"
"Ampharos. Light up for us won't you dear?" Rarity requested.
"Ampha!" The Light Pokemon emanated a golden light from his tail as he was now the perfect flashlight that could guide them through the dark.
By entering the cave, they were greeted by more Ground-Type Pokemon other than Sandslash. A group of Drilbur's gasped, startling at the sight of the approaching trainers as they dug underneath the ground, running away.
Ampharos went ahead of everyone else, looking around his surroundings to make sure that nothing would end up attacking them out of nowhere.
Caves tend to have fairly hostile Pokemon.
From above the ceiling, the never unpredictable Zubat hovered above the trainers, spotting them as they spread their wings out.
"Zu!" The Zubats came down from the ceiling, going straight for the trainers as they always do.
"Another attack?!" Twilight exclaimed.
"Sol! Absol!" Absol came out of his Poke Ball, getting in front of Twilight, defending her as he used Dark Pulse to blast the Zubats away, fending them off.
"Whew. Thanks, Absol." Twilight thanked him.
"Absol."
"We just got here and already some Pokemon are trying to attack us." Applejack sighed.
"They're just startled by newcomers that's all," Fluttershy replied. After all, didn't Goh say that this island has steep cliffs that keep people away? Perhaps they're not used to seeing us, especially if we're ponies."
"Probably. But one of them almost cut your face off, darling." Rarity flipped Fluttershy's mane. "And they got a bit of your mane."
"Garde..." Passion could feel the hostility of Pokemon that were nearby. Some of them were timid and afraid, mostly the smaller ones, but the larger ones weren't afraid to attack if they got the chance.
They walked near a lake that was inside of the cave, unaware of what was coming up from beneath. Apart from Audino, that is.
"Audi!" Audino heard a Pokemon rising from the lake as she pulled Fluttershy and Chikorita back.
Out of the lake, a Crawdaunt had shown itself. "Craw!"
"Crawdaunt?!" Twilight screeched.
"Craw...!" The Rogue Pokemon was about to blast them all with a Hydro Pump as an orb of water appeared inside of its claws.
"Ampharos! Thunder!" Rarity commanded.
"Ampha...ROS!" The Light Pokemon transferred all of his electricity into his ears as he blasted Crawdaunt with 100,000 volts of electricity, sending the Rogue Pokemon back into the lake.
"That's three in a row. Are we sure the reason why people don't come here is because of the cliffs?" Applejack raised an eyebrow.
"Now, now. They must have a reason as to why they keep attacking us." Fluttershy responded. "There always is one after all."
"It'd better be a good reason." Rarity walked ahead of Fluttershy, trotting beside her Ampharos.
They reached the exit of the cave where a large body of water was waiting for them. There, there was a large rocky slope that led to the higher parts of the island.
"Pharos." Ampharos's job was done here. They were in daylight so there was no need for his light.
"Thank you, Ampharos. Return." Rarity returned Ampharos.
"Oh! I know of an easy way to track Mew!" Pinkie took out a Poke Ball. "Since Mew and I are friends, My Slurpuff's can recognize Mew's scent since they've met it twice as well. "Out ya come."
Out came a single Slurpuff who was about to put that nose of hers to good use as always. "Slur!"
"Alright, Slurpuff. Get to sniffing!" Pinkie latched onto Slurpuff's back.
"Puff!" The Meringue Pokemon got to work, using its potent nose to track down anything that resembled Mew's scent as now they were all following Slurpuff this time.
They all set hoof, foot and paw on the slope, walking upwards as Slurpuff didn't want any interruptions whatsoever. Since her nose was so potent and she could sense the scent of all her friends, Slurpuff, at times, controls its nose in a certain way that allows the Meringue Pokemon to focus on only one single scent instead multiple familiar ones.
Absol kept his guard up, making sure that no other Pokemon tries and attack Twilight and her friends. He made sure that he kept Dark Pulse ready at all times.
Deep beneath the slope, there was another water-dwelling Pokemon that had sensed the presence of unfamiliar individuals.
And Absol could sense the approaching threat from below. He peered his head over to the side, seeing how the lake that the slope was apart of had a giant fin moving about.
"Absol! Sol!" Absol called for Twilight.
"What is it, Absol?" Twilight turned to him.
The Disaster Pokemon pointed his paw over the slope, aiming at the lake. Twilight went over to see what Absol had sensed that made him so cautious.
It was then revealed that a Gyarados was the one who sensed them as the Atrocious Pokemon arose from the water, creating a huge splash.
"GYARADOS!"
"Now it's Gyarados?!" Rainbow Dash gasped.
"Dos!" The Atrocious Pokemon went back underwater, planning to attack them all in a different way than just going up close.
"Gar!" Gardevoir and the other Pokemon readied themselves for Gyarados, anticipating what it might do next.
"Pika...!" Pikachu sparked electricity from his red sacs.
"Where's it coming from?!" Rainbow Dash looked around, tracking Gyarados's movements in the water. She noticed that Gyarados was no longer on the left or right side. Its fins had disappeared along with its shadow.
There was a moment of silence as they were all staying perfectly still. Audino's ears twitched as well as Slurpuff's nose. Absol's horn was tingling whilst Chikorita grabbed Fluttershy's hoof.
Then, Gyarados had finally made a move. But it didn't come out of the water and attack. Instead, the Atrocious Pokemon had gone so deep underwater that it was attacking through the slope itself.
A crack emerged underneath the group as Passion was the first to sense this approaching attack. She used psychic abilities to put up a barrier around her friends and trainer, expecting Gyardos to rise.
But instead, Gyarados had both shattered the slope, separating the ground from each other and splitting the slope in half. Everyone was either sent flying into the air or had fallen off the slope.
As the Atrocious Pokemon jumped out of the water, It charged up a Hydro Pump, ready to blast them all away with a high volume of water.
"Gyara...!"
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Ash shouted whilst on his knees.
"Pika...Chuuu!" Pikachu jumped up, sending a blast of 100,000 volts from his body, smiting Gyarados from above.
"Dos!" A super-effective hit and enough to knock Gyarados out as the Atrocious Pokemon fell back into the lake.
However, things weren't so fine and dandy. Due to Gyarados splitting the slope in half, it revealed the extended part of the lake. Which ended up being a waterfall.
This waterfall was hidden perfectly by the slope, but now that Gyarados had broken it, it was revealed and highly active with fast running water.
And unfortunately, the ones who fell instead of being launched up had gotten themselves near the waterfall. That being Pinkie Pie and Applejack.
"W-Woah!" Applejack flailed her hooves about as she took a Poke Ball out. "Sceptile!" Help!"
Out came Sceptile who immediately used his vines to grab ahold of Pinkie and Applejack whilst also latching onto a nearby tree.
"Scep!" The Forest Pokemon saved them both as she zoomed towards the tree his vine had wrapped around, landing on top of it.
"Phew." Ash let out a sigh of relief as he sat down near the edge of the broken slope. "That was close."
"Why does every Pokemon here have it out for us...?" Spike groaned as he fell flat on his face.
"I can't actually say anything about that one..." Fluttershy breathed in and out as Audino helped her up. They all took a moment to rest after that sudden Gyarados attack.
With how things were so far, they were expecting yet another Pokemon attack out of nowhere. It wasn't impossible to think so since every Pokemon here either runs away or goes in for an attack.
"Slur...Puff?" Finally, Slurpuff had picked up on something major as she sat up. "Puff! Slurpuff" The Meringue Pokemon had finally found something similar to Mew's scent as she ran off.
"Hm? Slurpuff! Wait!" Pinkie stood up, running after her partner.
"Can't we just rest a bit...?" Spike lowered his head.
"No time! This might be Mew!" Rarity picked up Spike, placing the dragon on her back as everypony followed Slurpuff, hoping that Mew was close.
Because the longer they stay here, the more Pokemon will come after them.
Slurpuff's tracking led the group to what could be considered the most secluded part of the island. A dry land where the sun shines the most.
This dry land was hidden amongst the jungle roots had an unusual green to it as if it was almost capable of making anyone fall asleep.
This was where Slurpuff's nose tracking came to an end. "Puff!"
"Here? You sensed Mew in this spot?" Pinkie looked around.
"Slur." Slurpuff nodded. Her nose never betrays her so she was positive that Mew was here at this very spot. But when everypony also looked around, they spotted other Pokemon that weren't Mew.
Some Patrats, a Mareep, Mudbray, Skiddo, Skitty and Buneary were currently playing, running around the large tree that was smack dab in the middle of this part of the island.
"Aw, how cute!" Fluttershy gushed at the Pokemon playing. But her gushing and voice had alerted the smaller Pokemon, prompting them to notice the group of trainers.
Like the many other smaller Pokemon in this island, they were startled by these newcomers as well as terrified. They all huddled together, putting an end to their playing as they whimpered.
"What happened?" said Ash.
"W-Was it something I said?" Fluttershy gulped.
"Pikachu?" Pikachu hopped out of Ash's arms, heading over to his fellow Pocket Monsters.
"Still no Mew..." Rainbow Dash facehoofed. "What was the point of coming here?!" She exclaimed, scaring the smaller Pokemon as they all ran away. "Ah! S-Sorry! I didn't mean to-"
"Too late Rainbow. They ain't coming an inch near us at all." Applejack shook her head.
"Strange. This place seems so beautiful yet so far our experience has been less than stellar." Luna commented.
"Sometimes first-time visits to certain locations aren't exactly picture-perfect as we envision." Celestia chuckled.
"Is Mew really not here at all...?" Pinkie was getting a bit upset. She wanted to see Mew more than anypony, even more than Goh.
Even with Slurpuff's nose and Audino's hearing, there wasn't a single sign of the ancient Pokemon anywhere. Much to Pinkie Pie's dismay.
"No need to worry." Ash went to her. "Maybe we won't find Mew here today. But one day, we might see it again together. That's for sure."
"Pikachu!"
"I guess so." Pinkie nodded. "I really wanted to see Mew again though..."
"No research on Mew today..." Twilight grumbled. "Bummer"
"Esp. Espeon." Eve patted her on the back, letting her know that it's okay.
"Absol." Absol shook some water off himself, wanting to head home right now since this whole thing seemed pointless.
That is until Absol, Passion and Audino picked up on something. "Voir?!" Passion turned around as she felt an overwhelming force coming from above.
Celestia could feel it as well as she quickly raised her head to face the air. "What is that?!"
Celestia's words grabbed the attention of the others as they witnessed Passion, Audino, Absol and Celestia looking up at the same spot, as if something was descending.
Since they've been attacked by three Pokemon so far, they were expecting the same thing to happen as they all collectively looked up in the air, ready to see what Pokemon was prepared to get the jump on them.
But it wasn't one they were expecting.
The sun had masked this mysterious Pokemon's full appearance, only giving them the sight of a silhouette. But they could make out what it looked like.
A bipedal humanoid Pokemon with a primarily grey, long, purple tail. On top of its head are two short, blunt horns, as it had purple eyes.
A tube was extending from the back of its skull to the top of its spine, bypassing its neck. It had a defined chest and shoulders, which resemble a breastplate. The three digits on each hand and foot have spherical tips. Its tail is thick at the base but thins before ending in a small bulb.
Only one Pokemon fits this description to a T.
The Genetic Pokemon.
Mewtwo.
"Why have all you come here?"
Their attention was 100% focused on this never before seen Pokemon to most of them. The only two who really recognized this Pokemon were Ash and Pikachu.
Although, Pinkie could actually tell that this Pokemon resembled Mew in some sense. But instead, it looked like a taller and more built version of the usually small and simple Mew.
"...Mew?" Pinkie said under her breath.
"What in Equestria is that?" Rarity gawked.
"I asked why have you all come here?" Mewtwo landed down on the soft grass, as all the Pokemon who ran away from before were hiding behind him.
"It talks...?" Applejack noticed.
"Ash. Have you seen this one before?" Twilight turned to Ash and Pikachu. However, she noticed that the two of them were frozen in place, constantly locking their eyes on Mewtwo as if they were stuck in a trance. "A-Ash? Pikachu?"
"What's gotten into you two? You okay?" Rainbow Dash waved her hoof in their faces. Suddenly Ash stepped forward once with his face having the same emotion as he uttered a word that caught everypony off guard.
"Mewtwo."
"Pika."
"Wait...That is Mewtwo?" Luna turned around, finally realizing that Mew and Mewtwo might be separate Pokemon instead of the same being with different names.
"Ash...you know this guy?" Spike pointed at Mewtwo.
"Ash Ketchum." Mewtwo narrowed his eyes.
"Mewtwo. It's great to see you again!" Ash grinned.
"Pikachu!"
"Hmph. Why is it that you are the one human I always manage to re-encounter?"
"Beats me." Ash chuckled.
"Pika-ka!"
"But wait...where's Mew?" Pinkie looked around, unable to spot Mew. "Unless...you're friends with Mew aren't you?!"
"Hm?" Mewtwo raised an eye.
"My name's Pinkie Pie! I bet Mew's told you a lot about me and my friends, right? I guess you must be like its evolution or something like that!"
"So...these are ponies?" Mewtwo observed the ponies individually. From the 2 earth ponies, 2 pegasi, 1 unicorn and the three alicorns.
"Mewtwo!" Luna stepped up. "I heard you had enough psychic power to be able to break seals themselves! If I may make a request...please help break the seal of another world parallel to ours!"
"Say what now?" Pinkie turned to Luna.
"Hmm...Why should I?"
"What?" Luna pulled back.
"Well, you're Ash's friend aren't you? So you have to at least help us in one way." Twilight grinned nervously.
"Ash Ketchum is indeed one of the very humans in this world that I can call a friend. I will never forget what he did for me many years ago."
Mewtwo reminisced about how Ash saved his life once. He remembered how Mewtwo was horribly injured after exerting so much power.
But Ash was there, along with his Pokemon to help Mewtwo along the way by carrying the Genetic Pokemon. The words they exchanged together solidified their friendship and made Mewtwo see Ash as something else.
"Why? Why are you helping me?"
"Well for one thing you saved my Pikachu. That's a good reason."
"The only one?"
"Do you always need a reason to help someone?"
"Perhaps you are unique. A unique human. One of a kind."
"You're one of a kind too. Everybody is."
"I could say that I had become a better Pokemon because you, Ash. I was once devoid of compassion until I met you."
"Oh geez." Ash grinned, rubbing the back of his hair.
"Pikapi!"
"That's great!" Pinkie Pie bounced up. "I thought you were all scary and serious and well...you kinda are...but you're just like every other Pokemon! Nice and friendly!"
"Hm. And I can see that you ponies share many similarities with humans. Curious."
Goh pulled out his sensor device, seeing that the amazing psychic power was coming from Mewtwo all along and not Mew since Mew wasn't even here.
"So this is the Pokemon exhibiting that much power. I guess it really does look like Mew."
"Mew. Why are you all seeking it that it led you all here?"
"I'm here to catch Mew of course!" Goh exclaimed. "Catching every Pokemon is my dream to reach Mew!"
"Hoh." Mewtwo's eyes sharpened when facing Goh. "How will catching every Pokemon possibly mean reaching Mew?"
"To catch a Pokemon is to understand. That's what I believe. I want to catch all sorts of Pokemon and learn more about Pokemon too! If I understand every Pokemon, I can reach Mew, who holds the genes of every Pokemon!"
"Hmph."
"Mewtwo...You're a Pokemon, right? Which means..." Goh took a Poke Ball out. "I can catch you in a Poke Ball!"
"Catch Mewtwo?!" Ash jerked back.
"Pika-Pika?!"
"I want to learn more about you. So...I'll catch you!"
"What an absolute child. Do you have any idea how powerful I am? I was created to be the world's strongest Pokemon." Mewtwo clenched his hands.
"I don't know Goh..." Spike gulped. "Something about this guy is telling us to back away right now.
"Hm... I guess this is a good a time as any." Ash turned to face Mewtwo. "Mewtwo! We've never had this opportunity before! But...I wanna battle you! I wanna beat the strongest Pokemon in a battle, to get closer to my dream of being a Pokemon Master!"
"Pikachu!"
"Read my mind." Rainbow Dash landed down next to Ash. "If this guy's the real deal, then this is the best time to see how good I've gotten if he's the strongest."
"Hm. You ponies have dreams of your own I see."
"Of course we do. I want to know more about the Pokemon World and explore it with my friends." Twilight gave her own dreams involving Pokemon
"And we want to stick by Twilight through everything." Applejack said.
"And get stronger so we can protect those close to us." Rarity turned to Spike.
"And what about those two? The taller ponies." Mewtwo referred to Celestia and Luna.
"Us? I..." Luna looked at the ground. "I'm not sure what my dream truly is. But I do know that I want to help Pyrestar's world and save it from Ghetsis. And since you apparently have the power to break the seal, if I defeat you in a battle, you must help us break the seal!"
"Hmm..."
"My goal is similar to that of my sister's. Although, I wish to protect my world from any potential threats that involve Pokemon whilst also befriending Pokemon as well. And becoming stronger with my Gardevoir." Celestia gave her dream out.
"Gardevoir."
Mewtwo took a moment to process all of their dreams. After listening to every single of them, he looked at them in the eyes. He saw one single drive of emotion behind all of their eyes.
Determination.
All of them had their own dreams and goals that they are still striving towards. Some have already somewhat accomplished parts of their goals like Rainbow Dash and the Wonderbolts, but even she has future goals she wishes to achieve.
Originally, Mewtwo would've had no response to them whatsoever. He would've seen them all as pointless and meaningless.
However, ever since Ash taught him compassion and more about life, Mewtwo could finally understand what it means to have a dream that you strive towards.
And that made the Genetic Pokemon smile.
"Hmph. As you wish." Mewtwo accepted their challenge. "Then...Put those dreams of yours on the line and face me!" Mewtwo prepared himself for battle.
"Heh!" Ash grinned as everyone prepared themselves. "Let's go Pikachu!"
"Pikachu!" Pikachu hopped off Ash's shoulder.
"You're up, Absol!" Twilight went for Absol.
"Sol!" The Disaster Pokemon stepped forward.
"Come on out, Cinderace!" Cinderace flipped out of its Poke Ball.
"Ace!"
"Pheromosa! Outshine them!" Pheromosa spun out of her Poke Ball.
"Mosa!"
"It's not a Dragon but I'll take it on anyway. Salamence!" Spike held his Poke Ball, sending out his Salamence.
"Mence!"
"Go, Sceptile!" Applejack flipped her hat up, sending Sceptile's Poke Ball out of it as the Forest Pokemon appeared.
"Tile!"
"Let's do this! Braviary!" Braviary soared out of his Poke Ball.
"Aviary!"
"I will make sure you help us. Darkrai!" Darkrai emerged from the shadows, appearing in front of Luna.
"No better opponent than the world's strongest right, Passion?"
"Gardevoir!" Passion dashed forward, stepping up to challenge the Genetic Pokemon.
"We'll just stay back and support you all," Fluttershy said as she and Pinkie Pie weren't taking part in this.
"Come. Show me what you can do."
"Iron Tail!"
"Blaze Kick!"
"Brave Bird!"
Three Pokemon went up first instead of all of them at once. Pikachu, Braviary and Cinderace advanced with Mewtwo standing completely still.
"Pika!" Pikachu jumped up, hardening his tail. "Chu...Pika!"
"Cinder...Ace!"
Both Pikachu and Cinderace struck their tail and feet towards Mewtwo, but the Genetic Pokemon put up a light blue barrier to block their attacks from properly connecting.
"Bra...viary!" Braviary's body engulfed in an orange aura as he smashed into the barrier with full force. But even Brave Bird wasn't going to break through it.
Mewtwo then suddenly controlled all three of them with his mind, forcing them to fly back to their trainers as Ash caught Pikachu.
"Pika!"
"Ace!" Cinderace was caught by Goh as the two of them fell over.
"Dark Pulse!" Both Luna and Twilight commanded.
The two Dark-Types, in perfect unison, sent a beam of black and purple circles towards the Psychic-Type Pokemon, but Mewtwo was still unbothered, even by a super-effective attack.
"You'll need more than type matchups to defeat me." Mewtwo had cancelled out the double Dark Pulses by using one hand to hold them without even using any moves whatsoever.
"Pheromosa! Triple Kick!"
"Sceptile! Leaf Blade!"
"Mosa!" Pheromosa moved at high speeds, passing her fellow teammates as it looked like she was actually about to be the first one to land a hit in by how fast she was moving.
But not at all. Mewtwo used his tail to grab Pheromosa's leg as he sent the Dark Pulse's back at Absol and Darkrai, hitting them both with their own beams.
"Scep...!" Sceptile jumped over Pheromosa, going for a slash, but Mewtwo used his tail to toss Pheromosa upwards, causing her to crash into Sceptile. "T-Tile!"
"Mosa!"
"Passion! Dazzling Gleam! Rapid-fire!"
"Garde...! Passion created a sphere of rainbows in front of her as she focused her aim on her fellow Psychic-Type. Out of the sphere came mini-beams of rainbows that flew towards Mewtwo.
Mewtwo returned the favour by firing a single Shadow Ball. That one Shadow Ball powered through the barrage of dazzling beams in one second whilst also connecting with Passion, dealing super-effective damage.
"Voir!" Passion was knocked back as Celestia caught her.
"Passion!"
"Let's see how you handle a dragon then. Salamence! Dragon Tail!" Spike shouted.
"Salamence!" The Dragon Pokemon took flight, surrounding his tail in draconic energy as he approached the Genetic Pokemon, swinging his tail violently.
Yet again, Mewtwo showed little worry in his eyes. The Genetic Pokemon grabbed Salamence's tail as if it was a feather, holding the Dragon Pokemon in place as he slammed Salamence on the ground.
"S-Sala!"
"Ah! Salamence!"
"Strong as ever Mewtwo..." Ash got up along with Pikachu. "Pikachu! Quick Attack!"
"Sceptile! Dragon Pulse!"
"Pika!" Pikachu moved at lightning-speeds, becoming a blur as Sceptile sent a dragon-shaped shockwave that flew next to Pikachu, moving at the same speed he did.
Mewtwo capitalized on this as he was still holding onto Salamence's tail. With no mercy, Mewtwo used Salamence as a meatshield, allowing him to be hit by Quick Attack and Dragon Pulse.
"Pika?!" Pikachu gasped.
"M-Mence!"
Mewtwo finally let go of Salamence by whacking Pikachu with Salamence, sending the Electric Pokemon flying as he then tossed the Dragon Pokemon into the air.
"Pika!"
"Quick, Pikachu! Thunderbolt!"
"Salamence! Hyper Beam!"
"Pika...Chuuuu!" Both Pikachu and Salamence recovered midair as Pikachu sent a blast of 100,000 volts downwards.
Sala...Mence!" Salamence did the same with his Hyper Beam merging with Thunderbolt, creating a unified attack.
Mewtwo was about to deal with those two combined moves but through the corner of his eye, he noticed that Absol and Pheromosa were both approaching him.
"Absol! Night Slash!"
"Pheromosa! Rapid Spin!"
"Absol!" Absol raised his horn with a dark aura surrounding it whilst Pheromosa spun her legs around, moving like a ballerina.
Mewtwo had an answer for that as well. He used Shadow Ball to clash with Thunderbolt and Hyper Beam with his left hand whilst using his right hand to grab Absol and Pheromosa's horn and leg.
"Ab?!"
"Phero!"
Mewtwo humiliated them by tossing Pheromosa and Absol into the Hyper Beam, Thunderbolt and Shadow Ball, causing an explosion to occur above him as he still hadn't moved from the spot he was in. The two moves cancelled each other out with Pikachu and Salamence landing down.
"Oh no, Absol!" Twilight gasped.
"Pheromosa, darling!"
"Absol!" Absol flew out of the smoke as he tumbled on the ground.
"Mosa!" Pheromosa spun around in the air as Rarity caught her.
"Pheromosa! Are you alright?!"
"Phero...!" While Pheromosa could continue, she was a bit on the weaker side at the moment.
"Rest for now. Fluttershy, heal her." Rarity sent Pheromosa over to Fluttershy and Audino. "You're up next. Ampharos!" Rarity sent out her Ampharos next.
"Ampha!"
"What strength..." Celestia helped Passion up. "He hasn't even moved from that one spot at all."
"Mewtwo's still as strong as ever." Ash grinned. "It's got my blood pumping."
"Let's try a huge combination attack. There's no way even he can handle it." Rainbow Dash suggested.
"Quick Attack!" Both Ash and Twilight commanded.
"Pika!" Pikachu rushed in alongside Absol.
"Sol!"
"Darkrai! Dark Void!"
Darkrai submerged himself in the shadows, attempting to sneak behind Mewtwo whilst the others approach Mewtwo head-on.
Mewtwo stopped Pikachu and Absol with his mind but that was all according to plan. Darkrai emerged from the shadows, appearing behind Mewtwo as he fired a black orb of darkness as a sneak attack.
But that was in vain as Mewtwo sent Absol and Pikachu into the Dark Void, causing them both to fall asleep.
"Pika...Pikachu."
"Ab-Absol..."
"Dragon Pulse!" Both Applejack and Rarity yelled.
"Steel Wing!"
"Blaze Kick!"
A combination of Dragon Pulses shot out of Sceptile and Ampharos's mouths as Braviary and Cinderace ran beside them. The two Dragon Pulses then merged to become an even bigger Dragon Pulse with Darkrai attempting another Dark Void.
Mewtwo appeared behind Darkrai with teleportation using his tail to whack Darkrai into the Dragon Pulses, causing an explosion that blocked Braviary and Cinderace's vision.
"Bravi?!"
"Ace?!"
The two Pokemon missed their attacks as they flew by Mewtwo, tripping and stumbling. There was a slight pause in the battle, giving everyone other than Mewtwo some time to breathe. Throughout all of this, Mewtwo has not taken any damage in the slightest.
"Hmph. Is rushing in blind all you can do?"
"Pikachu!" Ash ran over to Pikachu, picking him up as he was still asleep.
"Pikapi..." Pikachu groaned in his sleep.
"You did your best, buddy?" Ash placed Pikachu down next to Pheromosa, allowing him to rest. Twilight did the same, leaving Absol with Fluttershy and Audino.
"Sol..."
"My..." Fluttershy bit her hoof. "Mewtwo is...unnaturally strong."
"No kidding. To think that him and Mew are related." Pinkie Pie said.
"My battle capabilities were raised to the ultimate level. You will need to bring your absolute best if you wish to overcome me."
"Absolute best, huh? Fine!" Rainbow Dash stomped her hoof. "Braviary! Let's make this battle 20% cooler!"
"Braviary!" Both Braviary and Rainbow Dash tapped into the Bond Phenomenon as a pillar of rainbows came from above, engulfing the Valiant Pokemon as Rainbow-Braviary had arrived.
"Lucario! I choose you!" Ash sent out his Lucario for assistance.
"Lucario!"
"Eve. Your turn!" Twilight went for her Espeon this time.
"Espeon!"
The battle had been resumed.
"Let's combine everything! Lucario! Aura Sphere!"
"Dazzling Gleam!" Both Twilight and Celestia commanded.
"Dragon Pulse!"
"Dark Pulse!"
"Pyro Ball!"
"Steel Wing!"
"Hyper Beam!"
All at once, each of them, except for Braviary had attacked from a distance with a combination of Fairy, Fire, Dragon, Dark, Fighting and Normal had been unleashed.
Braviary flew ahead of the beams as they all crossed streams with each other whilst the Valiant Pokemon's wings hardened up.
Mewtwo realized that he might have to put in some extra effort for this one considering how dangerous it looked. So he did this by utilizing his signature move.
Psystrike.
Mewtwo created a white force field that expanded rapidly from his body as it had clashed with all of the moves and Braviary's body.
That one single forcefield was powerful enough to clash with every single one of their attacks with ease. Braviary crashed into the forcefield, trying to break through it as well as his friends who were pouring all they had into their ranged attacks.
"B-Braviary...!" Braviary knew not to push himself since Rainbow Dash will get hurt but he wasn't even putting a dent in the forcefield.
All of them were struggling to push Psystrike back. It was just one single move but yet it could easily match multiple moves, possibly even surpass it.
Which it did.
Mewtwo put some extra effort into his Psystrike as the forcefield expanded faster, engulfing Braviary and all of their attacks in just a few seconds.
All the Pokemon gasped as they witnessed the expansive field of energy heading towards them. Darkrai knew he would be fine since he's immune, but everyone else, not so much.
But Mewtwo had an answer for that as well. He used his other hand to fire a swift Shadow Ball towards Darkrai, catching him off guard as the Psytrike hit everyone else, causing a psychic explosion upon contact.
The trainers were almost blown away by the explosion as Ash and Applejack held onto their hats with Rainbow Dash feeling the damage that Braviary had taken.
Most of the Pokemon were on the verge of fainting as they either tumbled, rolled or flew from the aftershock of Psystrike.
"S-So strong." Rainbow Dash held her stomach, wincing along with Braviary.
"Viary..."
"Way too strong..." Applejack winced as her hat fell off.
"Darkrai! Are you alright?!" Luna went over to Darkrai.
"I'm fine." Darkrai flew up. "How can one Pokemon be this strong?"
"It's not over yet!" Ash exclaimed as he and Celestia stepped forward. "Right, Celestia?"
"Right!"
"This might be greater than Eternatus...but that won't pull me down!" Luna and Darkrai stood beside Celestia.
The remaining 3 trainers who still had enough energy to continue along with their Pokemon were Ash, Celestia and Luna.
"Hoh. It seems that you 3 hold massive amounts of potential. How promising."
These were the last 3 standing who still had vast amounts of energy left to take on the Genetic Pokemon whilst the others were still feeling the devastating effects of Psystrike.
They stared each other down, anticipating each other's next movements. Although Mewtwo was most likely the faster thinker of them all.
As Audino was healing and tending to the Pokemon who had been injured, her ears picked up on a brand new noise that was nearby this area.
"Audino?"
Mewtwo sensed this as well. There were two more individuals on this island. Individuals who were definitely not like Ash and his friends.
Mewtwo turned his attention to a large pile of bushes, sensing the presence of the individuals as he put the battle on hold for a while.
"I know you're there." Mewtwo put his arm out.
By using his amazing psychic power, he forced to the two unidentified individuals out of the bush, revealing them to Twilight and the others.
Lucien and Sienna were caught as Mewtwo held them up with his mind.
"Eeek!" Lucien winced.
"P-Put me down!" Sienna stammered.
"Who are they...?" Goh squinted his eyes. "Did they come along with us?"
"Wait..." Twilight recognized Sienna a small bit. She and the others recalled the time they first encountered Emerald Aura during the Darkrai event.
They were able to see Emerald clearly, but not Sienna. But they did manage to see her hairstyle and how it was in the style of a drill.
"Aren't you..." Pinkie raised her hoof gently.
"Rift Humans," Mewtwo revealed them.
"Rift Humans?!" They all collectively yelled along with their Pokemon.
"Y-You know about u-us?!" Lucien groaned as he tried to break himself free.
"Your actions under the Rift's orders continue to jeopardize both worlds. All for the sake of enjoyment. How disgusting."
"W-Well...You're..." Sienna tried to think of a comeback.
"Wait...I recognize you! Rainbow Dash exclaimed. "You were with Emerald Aura! And your voice sounds super familiar! Were you the one with Cold?!"
"Rift Humans..." Celestia thought for a moment before realizing something. "That would explain why the Desires exist. Obsidian can't do anything...so it must've been these two!"
"I should put an end to you all right now for what you've caused." Mewtwo tightened his psychic grip on them.
"Y-You wish!" Lucien lifted his finger as he sent a gigantic bolt of cosmic energy towards Mewtwo.
However, Mewtwo had cancelled the bolt of cosmic energy out with ease by just using psychic aura to do so.
"T-That's not suppose to happen!" Sienna's eyes widened.
"Mewtwo's stronger than the power of the Rift?!" Twilight gasped.
"Not good...What do we do?" Sienna was getting nervous.
"It'd be so easy to annihilate you here and now...but I suppose Ash's kindness has rubbed off on me." Mewtwo lowered them, letting go of the two Rift humans as they breathed in and out.
"I thought...! I was a goner!" Sienna wheezed.
"M-My throat!" Lucien held his throat.
"Leave this island immediately. But know that your identity and presence are no longer a mystery to Ash and the others."
"You jerk..." Sienna stood up, blowing her tongue out at Mewtwo.
"We'll remember this!" Lucien raised his arm as he and Sienna had already decided to leave this island as soon as possible since they didn't want to mess with Mewtwo at all.
Mewtwo lowered his hand, getting rid of that short nuisance with ease. Him revealing Lucien and Sienna had finally given Ash and everyone the answer to a few things.
From the Desires to how Dynamax managed to enter Equestria. Now they had something else to focus on once they get back home.
"Shall we finish this battle?"
"Of course!" Ash grinned. "Let's go past 100%! Celestia! Luna!"
"Right!" Celestia and Luna both said in unison.
"Double Team and then use Force Palm!"
"Passion! Get up close and strike Mewtwo with Dazzling Gleam!"
"Darkrai! Ascend and use Dark Pulse!"
"Garde!"
"Lu!"
Passion and Lucario rushed in whilst Darkrai ascended into the air. The Aura Pokemon multiplied himself with clones whilst Passion held a rainbow-sphere in her hand.
"Voir!" Passion swung her arms at Mewtwo, shooting out rainbow beams out of her sphere as well. Mewtwo swayed his head to the side, avoiding the swing and beams as he kicked Passion back whilst also using his tail to block the Force Palm from all the clones.
"Cario...!"
Mewtwo pushed Lucario away with a mild-shockwave before summoning a shadow ball to counteract the Dark Pulse that came from above. The Shadow Ball overpowered Dark Pulse as Darkrai was knocked out of the sky.
"Don't give up! Mystical Fire!"
"Reversal!"
"Ice Beam!"
"Gardevoir...!" Passion slid on the ground as she fired a beam of magical fire whilst recovering.
"Lucario!" Lucario rushed back in with his body being outlined in an orange aura while Darkrai planned on freezing Mewtwo in pure ice.
Mewtwo used Psychic to control the Mystical Fire as he redirected it towards Lucario instead. Luckily, Darkrai's Ice Beam got in the way, clashing with Mystical Fire as the two attacks cancelled each other out.
Lucario jumped through the smoke of explosions as he ferociously swung his palm towards the Genetic Pokemon. However, Mewtwo caught his palm, cancelling out Reversal as he held Lucario in place.
"Thunderbolt!" Both Celestia and Luna commanded.
At the same time, Passion and Darkrai combined their Thunderbolts, creating 200,000 volts of electricity that bolted towards the Psychic-Type.
Mewtwo tossed Lucario into the Thunderbolt as he was the one who had been hit instead. "Cario!"
Mewtwo then appeared in front of Passion and Darkrai with his teleportation as Celestia and Luna had just registered his sudden movements.
Mewtwo grabbed both Passion and Darkrai with tail, tossing them towards their trainers. "Garde!"
"Ough!"
"Passion!" Celestia caught Passion.
"Darkrai!" Luna did the same for Darkrai.
"Cario...!" Lucario had recovered from that double Thunderbolt as he skidded back to Ash.
"It's not over yet! Lucario! Double Team into Aura Sphere!"
"Passion! Use Plasma Bolt!"
"Darkrai! Dark Pulse!"
It was coming down to the wire now. They had to do something to make Mewtwo budge at least once. All three of them put everything they had into this one final attack.
Lucario advanced as Passion and Darkrai began building up power. Passion and Darkrai created plasma and darkness in their hands whilst Lucario took to the skies with all of his clones using Aura Sphere simultaneously.
Passion and Darkrai merged their two attacks, creating a hybrid of darkness and plasma as it rose into the air, hovering above Lucario.
"GO!" All three of them shouted.
With a burst of energy, they unleashed their strongest attacks all at once. Multiple Aura Spheres came raining down as they circled the giant beam of darkness and plasma.
Everypony else backed away as they knew this impact was about to be a big one. Twilight put a defensive spell around her friends as the moves all made contact with Mewtwo, resulting in a fiery explosion that had plasma sparks shooting out along with blue and dark lights.
Ash held his hat whilst Celestia and Luna's ethereal mane's flowed in the wind. But their Pokemon had been sent flying from the overwhelming wind pressure of their own attacks.
"Did they get him?!" Rainbow Dash leaned forward. With an attack that powerful, it must've surely done something.
But to everypony's surprise.
It didn't.
Mewtwo had put up a barrier that had shielded him from the damage, making all that hard work pointless. But it was a sign that Mewtwo had to actually defend himself against a move combination that strong.
Everyone's jaw dropped. Mewtwo casually said No to their attacks with a barrier that wasn't even that wide. It barely engulfed most of Mewtwo's body.
"My turn."
Mewtwo flew into the air, figuring that it was time for him to show off his own full-on attack. He did this by summoning a Shadow Ball so large that it was almost as big as a 5 oak trees.
Lucario, Passion and Darkrai were too spent on energy to even have the chance of fighting back against an attack this gigantic.
To finish the job, Mewtwo sent the enormous Shadow Ball down as it was wide enough to engulf not just the trainers and the Pokemon, but even the ones who weren't battling anymore.
Everyone closed their eyes, bracing themselves as once the Shadow Ball hit the ground, it then transformed into a blue explosion, consuming everything around it.
Luckily, Mewtwo had controlled the power of Shadow Ball to make it so that it wasn't capable of destroying any of them into pieces.
The smoke cleared as they were all on the floor, groaning and wincing as Mewtwo descend, approaching his defeated opponents.
"You spoke of your dreams before. Ash." Mewtwo said to him.
"Huh...?" Ash and everyone sat up as they all looked at Mewtwo.
"The world is vast. There exist many Pokemon you cannot even begin to imagine. Pokemon that far transcend your expectations and reality. Pokemon that can wipe you off the face of the planet with minimal effort. Knowing that, will you all still chase your dreams?"
"Of course!" Ash exclaimed as he stood up. "Because I have my friends!"
"Pika!"
With confidence brimming in his heart along with an eternal fire that blazes on, Mewtwo couldn't convince Ash. And he knew that for sure. All of Ash's friends stood up as they all stood beside him, ready to confront Mewtwo once more.
"It seems you all truly formed powerful bonds properly."
"Mareep!" Just then, the Pokemon from before all came towards Ash and the others instead of running away life before. "Reep!" The Mareep went up to Ampharos as it connected its tail with his, creating a small electric connection.
"Buneary!" Buneary hopped over to Fluttershy, landing in her hooves as Ash patted a Skiddo on the head.
"Skiddo!"
"I guess you're not so afraid of us anymore." Fluttershy nuzzled with the Buneary.
"However...not everyone forms bonds such as yours. Some, the absolute opposite."
"Hm?" They all turned their focus back at Mewtwo.
"Do you mean that when they were scared of us, it's because they'd been hurt by humans?" Ash turned to the Pokemon.
"I get it..." Pinkie held up a Skitty. "Mewtwo rescues Pokemon like that from people."
"This is not a place for humans to tread. The same can be said for ponies."
"What? Why?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"You and the humans are alike in practically every way. Some of you are good. Pure of heart. Kind, benevolent, generous, loyal and honest. But, just like the humans who hurt them, I know that there are ponies who will hurt those for their own personal gain. My battle with Mew taught me that not everything is in black and white."
"Yeah...that's fair." Twilight nodded.
"However, I have enjoyed today more than anything in a long time." Mewtwo brought the Pokemon over to him with his mind. "I'm afraid this is where we must part ways."
The time for them all to leave had come as Mewtwo created a psychic field that would allow them to escape into hiding, hoping not to be disturbed by humans and ponies again.
"Mewtwo! Wait!" Ash exclaimed.
"About that Pyrestar world. I have decided to one day help you once you figure out universal travel. After all, Ash. You said those words clearly to me. 'Do you always need a reason to help someone'? Was that how it went?"
"Mewtwo! Even if you don't wanna be disturbed! Can we hang out sometime! As friends?!" Pinkie Pie pleaded.
"I can see your affinity for Mew applies to me in some way. Perhaps one day we'll have time to loaf around together."
"Wait, Mewtwo! There's still a lot I have yet to learn about you!" Twilight shouted.
"I didn't get to have a full-on battle with all six of my Pokemon!" Rainbow Dash tried to fly. The light of the psychic field was getting too bright as they all closed their eyes.
"You are all frail, fleeting immature..."
"Hold on!" Goh stood up, getting a Poke Ball out, but the light threw him off focus.
"But that is exactly why you all possess infinite potential."
"Mewtwo!" They all called out his name as the last thing they saw was the light consuming them whole.
"Your journey has only just begun."
Kanto, Pallet Town, Night.
The group had woken up later to find themselves in Pallet Town, right outside of Ash's house. They seemed to have been asleep for quite some time since the moon was already up.
They all looked into the night sky, perplexed and dazed after what happened back at Cello Island.
"Mewtwo...He was super strong." Ash uttered.
"Yeah." Rainbow Dash nodded. "We've still got a long way to go."
"Wait..." Rarity sat up. "Isn't this Pallet Town?"
"Did Mewtwo bring us here?" Fluttershy looked around.
"Mewtwo." Pinkie looked up to see a shooting star fly by. "I hope we'll see it again someday."
"We will. Count on that." Ash reassured her.
"Ash!" Delia suddenly exited out of the house. "Look at you all! You're an absolute mess!" Delia pointed out how they all had tatters on themselves.
"Oh. I suppose we are." Celestia looked at her hoof. "We should get going. Arcanine gets a little upset if I'm gone for too long."
"I didn't get to research about Mewtwo..." Twilight pouted as she and her friends made their way back to their world by passing through the gateway.
"Maybe next time, Twilight." Applejack chuckled.
"Ash Ketchum. You're not thinking of sleeping in that state, are you?" Delia raised an eyebrow.
"Nope! I'll get started with cleaning myself!" Ash rushed back inside of his home as he waved goodbye to his friends. "See ya guys!"
"Pikachu!"
As they all went their separate ways, Mew was high above the night skies, giggling as it knew that yet again, its existence will always be a challenge to discover for many.
