"Howdy y'all, how's it-" Applejack stops herself once she first sees that everyone in school today just so happen to all be wearing the very same hat she adorns every single day.
Even her own friends are partaking in the latest CHS's trend.
"Uh, what's going on." AJ asks either one of her friends, a little creeped out by what she sees happening today.
"Oh uh, I should explain," Rarity steps up closer, wearing a hat like Applejack's as well, "You see, last night, I had a vision!"
"A vision? Hoo boy." AJ quietly says to herself.
"Uh huh. My vision was this: You, my friend, wear that simple ol' cowboy hat everyday, no matter what. And I was thinking, why should Applejack partake in her own 'way' by herself. Why don't we join along with her? And like magic, and by magic, I mean, one SnapGap post, I was able to get the whole school to chime in! Isn't it great?! Now everyone here can be a part of 'your way'."
Now knowing why everyone is dressed this way, or 'her way', Applejack still feels weird about it. Like, her hat is a part of who she is. What makes her, well her. And now everyone is wearing her hat today, and who knows how long they will be,
"Say Rarity, Ah-"
"Sup Applejack. I don't totally say this often, but me wearing your hat makes me totally understand you. Like, a part of you, in me. Anyway, nice seeing you." Trenderhoof, the new transfer student from Crystal Prep says sincerely to her, continuing to walk on by.
"Oh, and also," Trenderhoof stops for one last thing, looking back. "If you want, you can sit with me and my friends at lunch later. Tell us more about your 'lifestyle'."
"Well Ah-"
Applejack is once again interrupted when one of the school's fashionistas stops her as well.
"I just gotta say, like, your hat, is such an inspiration."
"I know right!" Trenderhoof agrees.
"Ah, well..." Thinking for a second, a smile appears on Applejack's face. Thinking that maybe this won't be so bad after all.
"Ya know, Ah might jus' get use t' this."
(The Next Day at School)
"Hey y'all!" Applejack says confidently now that she's 'okay' with everyone wearing a hat like hers. Speaking of her own hat, this morning before school, she had tied a light reddish pinkish orange bow onto it.
Just to make it feel 'new' to the people who start to get bored with the look.
"Ah did something with my hat. Wanna check it-" Applejack stops as she sees her friends, and seeing them all not wearing a hat like hers though.
Speaking of which, AJ takes a good look around her to see that no one else is wearing a hat like hers today either.
"What the?" AJ says to herself under her breath.
"Um, allow me to explain," Rarity gets right up close to Applejack, "You see, well, everyone eventually got bored with the look, us included," Rarity points back to the rest of their friends, "And so I had another vision last night. Why do cowboy hats, when you can do glow-in-the-dark friendship bracelets!" Rarity exclaims as she shows both her wrists, at least five glow-in-the-dark friendship bracelets being on each one.
"Oh." Applejack feels disappointed, by the fact that everyone could simply just 'decide' not to wear a hat like hers, like that. They could simply just 'ditch' her 'way'.
But also a sense of relief comes upon her.
Like, now that she's still the only one in school who wears a hat like her own. Glad that things are back to normal, for now.
"Well, ain't that a relief. Say, ya got anymore of them there bracelets?"
