//------------------------------// // Prologue: There Is More Than One Reality // Story: Multiverse Hearts Volume 1: Marvel World: Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions // by RainbowRaptorDash1 //------------------------------// Greetings, Bronies, Nintendudes, Blazblue fans, and Marvelites, here is a story that will blow your minds! It was another day in Equestria, and Chameleo and his team from his homeworld were coming to Ponyville for a monthly visit. The mane 6, Spike, Raptor, Soulfire and Makoto celebrated their return at sugarcube corner, and they were talking about the Marvel world they were in. “Can you believe that?! Those people are amazing!” Twilight said as everyone else agreed with that statement. “I wonder, are their other versions of Spider-Man?” Chameleo asked and as if on cue, a portal appeared. "Whoa! Talk about good timing!” Makoto remarked. Then the portal showed an elderly mare with a red coat and white mane, blindfolded, sitting in a spider-themed throne. “Elements of Harmony, you are needed across time and space in our world.” The mare said. “Sounds serious.” Viper said. “So, where are we heading?" Raptor asked. “You will split up into four groups and go to four different areas and timelines; A world you’re familiar with, a past unlike ours, a present day out of sync and a future, which may or may not come to pass.” The mare answered. “Okay, that makes more sense. But what groups will we split into?” Soulfire asked. “Hmm, probably one should be Team Magic, the second one be Teams Laughter and Kindness, the third one Team Loyalty, and the last one Teams Generosity and Honesty.” Crane suggested. “Not a bad suggestion, Crane.” Datozo said. “Well, let’s just be careful.” Blade said with care. "Yeah, because we don’t know where we’re going.” Morrigan agreed. “But there’s one thing we don’t get, who are you?” Sonic asked. “Yes, you never told us your name.” Vaida said. “Ooh! I love guessing games! Is it Spiderina? Webalandra? Spinnerete? Arachna?-” Pinkie guessed multiple times only for Applejack to put her hoof on Pinkie's muzzle. “Just let her tell us, Pink.” Applejack said. "I am known as Madame Webb.” The mare said revealing her identity. “Aww! That was my next guess!” Pinkie whined. "I just hope we can help you.” Fluttershy said. “Do not worry, once you enter these worlds, I will bestow temperary gifts upon you all that will prove useful in your quests.” Madame Webb said. “Well then, gang…” Chameleo started off. “Hope you’re ready everyone.” Viper continued. “Because now that it’s time for another adventure, girls…” Twilight said. “Let’s GO!” Chameleo, Viper and Twilight finished in unison. “Okay!” The rest of the team agreed. “Thank you all. Good luck, Heroes of Harmony.” Madame Webb thanked the heroes and wished them good luck as she disappeared and the Teams went into the portal, turning into humans again, splitting up into different timelines and worlds and gaining new and familiar powers. Meanwhile back in the Marvel world, at a museum, a strange villain was breaking in and stealing an ancient relic worth millions. It was the elusive and tricky illusionist, Mysterio. “Ahh, the Tablet of Order and Chaos. Selling you to the black market is gonna make me a mint.” Mysterio said. "Good, you could use a mint. Ugh, I can smell your breath from here.” Someone familiar remarked as Mysterio dropped the glass case to look behind him, seeing his archenemy, your friendly-neighborhood Spider-Man. “(Gasp!) Spider-Man?!” Mysterio said shocked. “Wait, how would you eat a mint through that fishbowl?” Spidey asked as Mysterio threw a smoke pellet on the floor, summoning forth a King Cobra. “Nice! Don’t get me wrong, your illusions are nifty and all, but, if you ask me, they could use a little more… kick!” Spider-Man complemented and advised as he kicked through illusion, kicking Mysterio onto the ground, who was trying to get the tablet. “Nuh-uh-uh. Souvenirs are available at the gift shop.” Spidey quipped as he web-slinged at the tablet, grabbing it, and taking it from Mysterio. “No! Cease your insistent prattling!” Mysterio demanded as he used some kind of rocket launcher in his gaunlets and fired at Spider-Man, who kept dodging them. “But insistent is the best kind of prattling.” Spider-Man said. Then Spidey got an idea and began to catapult himself and Mysterio got the tablet, starting to see something in it. “Wha… What’s this?” Mysterio wondered out loud. “Hey, bubble-head! Think fast!” Spider-Man said before he catapulted himself at Mysterio, who shielded himself with the tablet. Spidey punched the tablet, causing a spiritual explosion and making it shatter across this world and others. “Whoa, what was that?” Spider-Man asked. Mysterio laughed maniacally as he disappeared with a fragment of the tablet. “Okay. Can somebody tell me what's going on here?” Spider-Man asked in confusion, as Madame Webb appeared. “Spider-Man, you are needed.” Madame Webb said, surprising the web-slinger. “Madame Webb? As if this night couldn’t get any weirder.” Spidey deadpanned. “The tablet of Order and Chaos is the most powerful of all mystic artifacts of the world. And you shattered it.” Madame Webb told Spider-Man. “Yeah, sorry about that.” Spidey apologized. “The pieces of the fragment scattered across other dimensions. Dimensions that are strange reflections; A past unlike ours, a present day out of sync and a future, which may or may not come to pass.” Madame Webb said as she showed Spider-Man looked at all of the spider-hero incarnations and saw he something strange. “Is that a… Cartoon Pig?” Spidey asked. “Focus! I require your help. Yours, the help of all three other Spider-Men, and the help of your harmonious friends from other worlds. Where your world and these other three Spider-Men, the fragments of the tablet fell.” Madame Webb said. “Whoa, slow down. Other realities? Other ‘me’s?” Spider-Man asked. Then a portal appeared, revealing Team Magic, who seem to have spider powers and suits of their own. “Hey, guys! Long time, no see. Where are the others?” Spidey asked. “The other teams are in different dimensions, definitely the ones where the other three Spider-men are that are gonna help us.” Spidereo said. “Still, it’s good to see you again.” Spidersnake happily said. “And I’m sure we’ll see them again. soon.” Spiderilight assured. “Yes. I've have explained our dire situation to them and your friends. They will be your allies as this quest.” Madame Webb said. “But, I’m the most charming, right?” Spider-Man asked. “In his dreams, maybe.” Spiker whispered to Spiderane. “Yep.” Spiderane whispered back. “You must gather all the pieces of the tablet, before they fall it to the wrong hands or our reality as well as theirs, will be utterly destroyed.” Madame Webb said. “Yeah, right, no pressure.” Spidey deadpanned as he and Team Magic went off to find the first piece of the tablet in their world. Later… “Good to be back and have your powers, Peter.” Spidereo said. “At least you’ll have more webslinging heroes on your side, this time.” Viper assured. “I agree.” Spiderilight said as she agreed. “Let’s just be careful.” Spiderane said with care. “This is so cool!” Spiker said with excitement. “Well, let’s get started. These neighborhoods aren’t gonna friendly themselves.” Spider-Man quipped. “If you all follow my instructions, I may assist you in finding one of the fragments now.” Madame Webb explained. “Who are we to refuse a lovely lady? Lead on, MW.” Spidey said. After a while, they were close to the fragment. “I am augmenting your spider-senses. Now, instead of just detecting danger, you have the added the abilities of seeing through objects, locating enemies, and discovering structural weakness in your environment.” Madame Webb explained. "Cool.” Spider-Man complemented. “Not bad.” Spidereo agreed. “Thanks.” Spidersnake said as she thanked MW. “This will be helpful.” Spiderilight said. “I will bestow it upon other Spider-Men and your other friends as well. Don't let weak structures or other obstacles block your path. Use your webbing to pull that wall down!” Madame said. After that, they found the fragment. “Hey, look what we found.” Spidey said. “One down, more to go.” Spidereo explained. “Things started off nicely.” Spidersnake said “I’m sure we’ll get better from this.” Spiderilight agreed. “Excellent work. A job well begun is half done! Now to another Spider-Man and some of your other friends, and to bestow to a different gift upon them.” Madame Webb said. Then Madame Webb turned her focus onto Ultimate Spider-Man’s dimension, where Teams Laughter and Kindness are, having their own Spider-hero suits. “Whoa! Hey, guys! Been a while.” Ultimate Spider-Man said “It’s sooooooooo good to see you again!” Spiderinkie said as she came over and squeezed Spidey. “Pinkie… I can’t breathe…” Spider-Man wheezed. “Oopsie. Sorry.” Spiderinkie apologized as she let Peter go. “We have your powers now.” Spiderozo said. “Nice, sometimes this job is better than money.” Spidector said with glee. “Whoa, why are we wearing costumes?” Spiderig needlessly asked. “Let’s all try our best to help Madame Webb and the four Spider-Men.” Spideream said. "Chao!" Cheese squeaked. “Still, I wish Sonic was here. You don’t think these powers are permanent, do you?” Spiderose asked with worry. “Only while we’re here helping Spidey get the fragments.” Spideraida assured Spiderose as she told Spider-Man. “I-If you’re okay with that.” Spidershy said. “Sure I’m okay with it. It’s good to see some friends once in a while.” Spidey assured the others. Then all of a sudden, some kind of substance began to cover them. Ultimate Spider-Man turned back into Black-Suit Spider-Man, while the others got their own symbiote suits. Spiderinkie’s suit turned completely pink, becoming Hysteria, Spidershy’s suit turned completely yellow and pink, becoming Scream, Spiderozo’s suit turned completely black and fire-red, becoming Fireblight, and Spideraida’s suit turned completely black and lightning-yellow, becoming Thunderblight. Spidector’s suit turned completely gooey gold and emerald, becoming Klyntadile, Spideream’s suit turned completely orange and tan, becoming Sour, Spiderose’s suit turned completely pink and red, becoming Thorn, and Spiderig’s suit turned completely purple with stripes, becoming Tigaro. All eight of them became Symbiote Heroes, or so as Pinkie calls them and herself. “The Black Suit? What am I doing in the BLACK SUIT?! I-I hate this thing!” Black-Suit Spider-Man complained. “Stay come, Young Peter. You too, young heroes. These suits have extra abilities you will need in your quest.” Madame Webb said. “Like what, tryin' to take over our bodies!?” Spidey asked angrily. “Yeah, Peter has a point.” Klyntadile agreed. “So, what are we gonna do?” Tigaro asked. “I said ‘Stay calm!’ My psychic powers will keep them from overwhelming any of you.” MW explained. “Okie-dokie-lokie!” Hysteria said. “Oh, thank goodness.” Sour said with relief. “Chao-chao!” Cheese agreed. “Yeah, well, I hope you kept the receipt.” Spidey said as he and the symbiote heroes got onto the ground and began to search for the first fragment of their world. “Now, let’s retrieve the next fragment, spit-spot!” Madame Webb said. “Did you just say, ‘Spit-Spot?’” Spider-Man asked. “Yes, she did.” The symbiote heroes said in unison. Later, when they were close to the fragment… “The fragment is at the end of the corridor. Can you all swing across to it?” MW asked. “Yes!” The symbiote heroes answered in unison. “Can I? Lady, it’s my trademark. I gotta admit, the suits do seem fairly under control. And I feel stronger... faster! Maybe this'll work out after all... fingers crossed!” Spidey said as they got to the end of the corridor and got the fragment. “That was easy.” Tigaro said. “I’m glad no one got hurt.” Scream said as she sighed with relief. “At least we got a refresher on our abilities.” Thunderblight said. “They're all gonna be this easy to find, right?” Spider-Man asked. “No.” Madame Webb answered. “Thought so.” Klyntadile deadpanned, knowing that work is never easy. “Son of a-” Spidey started of as Hysteria stopped him. “Don’t say it! Not while they’re reading this story we’re in!” Hysteria yelled, breaking the fourth-wall. “What?” Spider-Man asked in confusion. “It’s just Pinkie being Pinkie.” Thorn assured Spidey. “Yep, she’s like that sometimes.” Fireblight agreed. "Best not to question it." Sour warned the web-slinging black-suited hero. “Just think of this like a more adventurous scavenger hunt.” Hysteria said reassuring Spidey. “Okay then.” Spider-Man said. “But now, I must turn my consciousness to the future! And to…" Madame Webb started off as she turned her focus onto 2099 Spider-Man’s dimension, where Team Loyalty is at, having their own Spider-hero suits as well, but they become more advanced and futuristic. “…Miguel O’Hara, Spider-Man of 2099, and the Elements of Loyalty.” “That’s us. Ready to save the universe and looking good while doing it.” Future Spider-Man said proudly. “This is gonna be awesome!” Spider Dash said with excitement. “You said it, Sis!” Spideraptor agreed. “Let’s just be careful, we’re new to this dimension.” Spiderfire said with concern. “Yeah, we don’t know what happens here.” Spiderkoto agreed. “But we can take care of ourselves.” Sonider said. “This place looks amazing!” Spiderails said with amazement. “Makes sense, since we’re in the future.” Spideruckles pointed out. “The next fragment is close, just ahead, in fact.” MW explained. “We’re on it. Gotta watch out, though. This area's property of the Alchemax corporation and that means the Public Eye'll be everywhere.” Spidey said with cation. “Public Eye?” Team Loyalty said confused. “And what, pray tell, is a Public Eye?” Madame Webb asked. “Not a what, a who. The police force owned by Alchemax. And I'm not sure which is more corrupt!” Spider-Man explained as if on cue, a police aircraft arrived. “Speak of the devil. Here comes the Public Eye now!” “Many enemies will try to stop you from collecting fragments. You must defeat them in combat!” Madame Webb instructed. "Tell me about it! I tried to defeat them in cards once. Didn't go so good.” Spider-Man deadpanned. They fought and defeated some Public Eye officers, and while beating one them, Spidey throw him into the air, then the guard disappeared. “(Gasp!) No! Huh?” Team Loyalty said baffled. “Oh no! I didn’t mean to… Make him, disappear?” Spider-Man asked, turning his apology into a question. “You didn’t. I have saved him from peril and transported him to safety to a dimensional rift caused by the Tablet. But please, try not to be cavalier next time.” MW said with worry. “Good to know you got our backs. We’ll just worry about our fronts.” Spidey said with relief as three more officers show up. “Here comes the last three. Take them out how so ever you choose... make it good!” Madame Webb said with fighting spirit. “Whoa!” Team Loyalty said amazed. “You are one bloodthirsty old chick… I like it!” Spider-Man said with confidence. After they beat the last three guards, they went in and got the fragment. “That. Was. Sweet!” Spideraptor exclaimed. “No doubt about that, bro!” Spider Dash agreed. “Ahh… That was a good workout.” Spiderkoto said, stretching. “Agreed, sister. That knocked some of our rust off.” Spiderfire said, feeling better. “When do we get a real challenge?” Spidey asked. “Cause we’ll have fun beating them!” Sonider said with courage. “We still need to be careful, guys.” Spiderails said with concern. “Yeah, don’t get cocky.” Spideruckles remarked. “Your two friends are right. I fear it will be sooner than you think. And finally, I turn my attention from the future to a world set in the past…” Madame Webb agreed as she turned her attention to the Noir Dimension. Meanwhile, in the dimension of Spider-Man Noir, a portal opened, revealing Teams Honesty and Generosity, also wearing their own Spider-suit, except also being stealth-functional being their darker form of color, and having their own Spider-Powers. They met up with Spider-Man Noir. “Who’re you guys?” Past Spider-Man asked. “We’re the ones who’re gonna help y’all, partner. Name’s Applejack.” Spiderjack said as she introduced herself. “I’m Morrigan. And this is my younger brother.” Spiderrigan started off. “Slylyzi. ‘Sup.” Skyder finished. “I am Rarity. It is a pleasure to meet you.” Spiderity greeted. “My name is Bladefin, but you can call me Blade.” Spiderfin said. “And I am his younger sister, Mamota.” Spiderota said, finishing their introductions. “So, you’re those otherworldly heroes who’re supposed to help me find the fragments in my world?” Spidey asked. “Yes.” Teams Honesty and Generosity answered in unison. “Good, then let’s get in there.” Spider-Man said as they went into the building, hanging from strings of webbing upside down in the shadows. “Say your prayers, punks. Here comes the Spider-Men. Whadda we got here?” Spidey rhetorically asked. “Looks like criminal forces in this world have already found one of the fragments! They've taken over the station.” Madame Webb said with dread. “And this used to be such a nice place.” Spider-Man deadpanned. “Use the shadows to your advantage.” Madame Webb instructed as the heroes got off their webbing and landed silently on lamp posts. “See if you can subdue these opponents silently, with stealth attacks.” “You read my mind, sister.” Spidey said. “Yes, it’s what I do.” Madame Webb plainly said. From the posts, the Spider-Heroes grabbed the thugs from the shadows and subdued them with their webbing. Then they jumped to the ground, still in the shadows. “Those typewriters they're slinging are no joke. Won't last long if they open up on us.” Spider-Man said being serious. “If Ah’m being honest, and Ah am, it would be better if we fight from the shadows.” Spiderjack spoke honestly being the element of harmony as she is. “Oh, here-here. Those barbarians seem too strong to fight face-to-face at the moment.” Spiderity agreed. “It’s okay, attacking from a distance is me and my brother’s style of fighting half the time.” Spiderrigan said. “Yep, we are archers.” Skyder confirmed. “Yeah, we’ll need to strike from a distance.” Spiderfin agreed. "If anyone gets hurt, my brother and I will help heal you.” Spiderota said with care. “Agreed. If an enemy spots you, it is imperative to defeat him quickly or retreat, either into the shadows or high above. I have gifted you the new web-swinging powers, they will be useful in the utmost respect.” Madame Webb explained. “Thanks, Madame Webb!” Teams Honesty and Loyalty said as they thanked MW. “Oh, I like this! Thanks for the enhanced powers, lady. The webs normally just kinda splatter everywhere.” Spidey said, thanking the guardian for the improvements. The spider-heroes managed to knock out the guards and broke open a gate on their way to the fragment. “Hoo-whee! That was more fun than a buckaroo-rodeo!” Spiderjack said with excitement. “Agreed!” Spiderrigan agreed. “No doubt, sis.” Skyder also agreed. “Indeed, darlings. It was fun.” Spiderity said, not being prissy. “Well, at least no one got hurt.” Spiderota said with relief as Spider-Man picked up the first fragment of his dimension. “And that’s the end of that.” Spidey said. “Yep, and it was simple. But things will get harder from here on out.” Spiderfin said with caution. And Blade’s right, Spidey. It’s just the beginning. Across many dimensions, these four, fearless Spider-Men, in all their various incarnations and Elements of Harmony must fight to reassemble the Tablet of Order and Chaos! Not just for the sake of their own worlds, but for the fate of every world in every dimension! Good luck, web-slingers! We're all counting on you! Meet a good friend of mine, Stan Lee, a great American writer of Marvel, known as Mr Marvel. He'll help narrate a few things. Anyway, in the Amazing Spider-Man’s dimension, at Madame Webb’s hideout, when Spider-Man and the Elements of Magic returned, and gave the first fragment to her. “You've all recovered the first quarter of the Tablet. Excellent.” Madame Webb congratulated. “I’ve always been good at scavenger hunts.” Spidey said proudly. “Me too!” Spiderilight said. “Those were scavenger hunts that had clues and were set by your brother, Shining Armor.” Spiker recalled. “Spike! Not now!” Spiderilight said as she argued with Spiker a bit. “It’s true!” Spiker said back, being honest. “Not the time to argue at the moment.” Spidereo said as he broke up the squabble. “Chameleo’s right, we need to focus on the task at hand.” Spidersnake agreed as Spiderilight and Spiker apologized and made up. “Indeed. Like moths to a flame, those with evil hearts will be drawn to the unleashed power of the Tablet, gaining new and frightening powers. So far, you all have been fortunate that none of them have fallen into enemy hands.” Madame Webb said as she putted the fragment in a magical container. “Why'd you have to go and say that? Man, what a jinx!” Spider-Man complained. “Probably not, it’s practically guaranteed we’ll run into enemies that will have a fragment of the tablet.” Spiderane said as he remembered that villains are always power-hungry. Meanwhile, at Mysterio’s hideout… “Bah! Useless hunk of nothing!” Mysterio complained before he saw the fragment of the tablet he stole glow with magic, causing him to pick it up. “Wait! What's this?” Mysterio wondered out loud as magic has started flowing into him. “Ahhh, yes! Power! This is what real power feels like! No more parlor tricks and sleight of hand! Mysterio is now the master of REAL MAGIC! And this is just the beginning!” He said as Mysterio blasted the wall with a magical cobra and floated away on a moving purple cloud as he then laughed maniacally.
