CMCs Forever

Apple Bloom looked proudly around the room she shared with Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. She had just packed her last belongings in one of the several boxes scattered around the room.

At night it was kind of hard for her best friends and her to sleep, but they didn't care, as they were enjoying every second together before Apple Bloom finally moved out.

The reason was quite simple, Applejack's younger sister had married her special somepony, who wasn't really a pony, but he made her immensely happy and anyone could see that they loved each other more than anything in this world.

She'd really like to be able to stay with him in Ponyville, but Spike couldn't stay away from Canterlot, as he was the right hand of the Equestria ruler.

She had a strong attachment to people and the place where she was born and thought that the saddest thing that could happen in her life was to live far from everything she knew and loved. But the worst thing was be away from the love of her life.

So with the full permission of Princess Twilight, Apple Bloom got ready to move to the castle. She was happy about it, until she saw that, moving to Canterlot, she wouldn't be that close to her family and her two best friends.

She was a little unsure, as the three of them had never been so far apart from each other in their many years of friendship. She rested her head on the box and let out a sad breath.

"Is everything ready yet?" Scootaloo's voice came from the direction of the door, which made her look up.

"Oh, I think it is, yes, I'm just waiting for the moving ponies!" She replied forcing a smile.

The two looked at each other briefly and looked back at her.

"Apple Bloom, is there something bothering you?" Sweetie Belle asked worriedly when she noticed the strange behavior of one of her best friends.

"No, of course not, why would I be bothered?" She lied.

"AB, you know you can't lie to us, we're your best friends, if you don't trust us, who are you going to trust?" Scootaloo said.

Seeing that she was right, Apple Bloom took a deep breath and decided to vent with them.

"What happened? Did you regret getting married?" Sweetie Belle asked, as the two sat on either side of her on the bed.

"No, I'll never regret it, I love Spike and I can't imagine my life without him anymore!" She clarified. "But..."

"But?" They said in unison.

"But I also can't imagine my life without you two, this is the first time that we'll live away from each other. I'm afraid of missing you more than I should!"

They both smiled and moved closer to her.

"Hey, it's not just that you're moving to Canterlot to live with your hubby that you have to stop seeing or talking to us!" Sweetie Belle said. "I mean, we work at the same school, of course we're gonna see each other lot of times!"

"Yeah and do you remember the day we moved here?" Scootaloo asked, but there was no sadness in her tone, just emotion, as well as the tears that welled up in their eyes.

"How could I forget?" Apple Bloom said, closing her eyes and remembering.

Flashbacks:

"Ihhhh I still can't believe we're going to live together!" Sweetie Belle said enthusiastically. Although they grew up, her voice still squeaked every time she got excited.

"Me neither, but remember, it's the first day of many years!" Apple Bloom said as she sat on the couch.

Suddenly, before she said that the three would never be apart, she saw that someday, probably in the near future, one of her best friends or even both could get married, go live with their husbands or wives and they wouldn't be together anymore.

It really terrified her.

"What if we ever have to part ways?" She asked. "What if you two decide to move in ... To the Crystal Empire for example? How am I gonna be here alone without you two?"

The two just smiled, already knowing the answer they were going to give her.

"If that ever happens, what's the problem?" Scootaloo said, sitting down next to her. "I know that our friendship is strong enough to overcome anything, even the distance!"

"We'll always find time to hang out together, chat and enjoy our companies. No matter how far we live, we'll always be here for each other!" Sweetie Belle said, also sitting next to her.

Apple Bloom smiled and wiped away a few tears that streamed down her cheeks.

"I love you two so much!" She said, pulling them into a group hug.

"We love you too!" They answered back.

End of flashbacks...

"Of course, how can I have forgotten? I think it was the desperation to finally be living in such a situation!" She said.

"You said you were scared that Scootaloo and I would get married and move away, but look at the irony, you're the one going!" Sweetie Belle joked, which made the three of them burst out laughing.

Technically, Apple Bloom wasn't the first to get married, Scootaloo got married once, but it didn't work out and they divorced. But while married, her wife and she all lived together with her two best friends.

Apple Bloom was the first to move to another city.

"Honey, are you ready yet?"

She immediately rejoiced and her eyes sparkled when she heard her husband's voice.

"He arrived, he arrived, he arrived!" She repeated, quickly running downstairs where he was.

The unicorn and the pegasus looked at each other and they nodded, understanding that if their best friend was happy, there was nothing to discuss, she would go with him.

Soon after, they also leaving the room, as the moving ponies would already go up to take her boxes.

Spike smiled happily at the sight of his wife and opened his arms when she rode toward him, jumping into his arms.

"One day looked like a year, I missed you so much sugarcube!" She said, looking at him lovingly and gave him a tender kiss on the forehead.

"No, I missed you even more, my little bonbon!" He replied, gently rubbing his nose on her snout.

"No, I missed you more..." She said, bringing her face closer to his.

Suddenly, she was startled when he pulled her and their lips touched, but soon, they started to kiss lovingly. Not long after, their show of love for each other was interrupted when they reached the floor below as well.

"Hello, can't you both get a room?" Scootaloo said, which made them split up.

"Party pooper!" Apple Bloom joked and they laughed.

Not long after, all the boxes were taken for the castle, the only thing missing was the the belongings' owner.

"Sweetie, are you ready?" Spike asked her.

"Yes, baby, there's only one thing I need to do!" She said, looking at her friends, who were smiling at her.

"Well, go ahead!" He said.

"Well ..." Apple Bloom said, moving closer to them.

"I guess this is it!" Sweetie Belle said.

"Yeah. Girls, I'll never forget the time we lived together in this house, we went through good and bad times, always together and this is as important to me, just as you two are ..." She paused, choking with emotion and tears welling up in her eyes. "I'm gonna miss waking up every day and not seeing you by my side, I love you so much!"

"We love you too!" Scootaloo said and the three joined in a collective hug.

"You'll always be a part of us!" Sweetie Belle said between soft sobs.

Spike, who was witnessing the scene, didn't hesitate to cry with emotion as well.

As they separated from the embrace, Apple Bloom smiled and lifted her right front leg.

"CMCs forever!" She said.

"CMCs forever!" They also said, putting their hooves together as they did when they were kids.

They continued to watch as Apple Bloom walked away, feeling completely ready to start a new book of her life.

Her friends wouldn't always be in every chapter, but they'd always show up.

"This is not goodbye. I love you, always!" She said, before finally leaving with him and closed the door.

"Do you want to get on my back to get there faster by flying?" He asked.

"We don't need to be in such a hurry. Can we go by train? Please?" She asked.

"Whatever you want, my love!" Spike replied, stroking her cheek and wiping the tears away with his thumb.

Apple Bloom smiled and kissed his hand, before they proceed.

Meanwhile, after sadly staring at the door, Sweetie Belle pulled Scootaloo into a strong hug. That was an empty nest without one of them.
