//------------------------------// // Memories from hell // Story: The hidden truth // by Eileen //------------------------------// Misty put spitfire in her bed in the barracks as each wonderblot had an assigned bed for when they slept there as to not cause a fuss. Spitfire was totally out of it and probably dreaming at least she hoped as the conversation from earlier of spitfire not knowing herself still lingered as well of how her step father disowned her without trying for a relationship with his step daughter. “Sleep well mam.” Misty said it a sweet caring but quite voice as she turned off the light with a click to have all the team staring at her with questions outside the door. “What?” Misty whispered to which soarin retorted “whys cap asleep? What did you do to her?!” He said yelling angrily. “Shhhh caps asleep shes tired we don't want to wake her, and its best she explains in her own time soarin” she said trying to calm down the teams second in command without yelling as she feared captain would wake and break down again. “Lets just leave her be she will tell us in due time” misty said while wandering off. Meanwhile with spitfire who was dreaming, and got brought back to her filly hood with memories flooding back instead of a dream to her dismay. “Spitfire sweetie, ill be back soon, i need to go take care of your grandmother, as shes not very well” her mother spoke calmly, to her while she was in tears. “I don’t want you to go mum” spitfire called, while hugging her mothers hoof, she was about three years old and this was a day she’d never forget. “Darling, your stepfather will care for you, ill be back in a week or so” stormy flair responded getting up and removing her daughter from her hoof “ill make you a promise that when i get back ill bring you to the book shop and you can get any three books you want, how does that sound dear” stormy said calmly trying to calm down her daughter, who she knew loved to read story’s and study the world around her, spitfire was an easy child to please, as just one book would always make her happy and keep her busy for hours. “Really!” spitfire called excitedly to her mother, while jumping up and down in pure excitement. “Yes, but only if you behave, understand?” Stormy called as she walked down the path of the mainhatten house, to which spitfire nodded excitedly as waved goodbye to her dear mother. After the door was shut by her stepfather who was a tall uni stallion with a deep brown and grey striped main as he was getting old and a cream coloured coat, “spitfire, go to your room and get out of my sight, you stupid useless Pegasus” he yelled at the child his torn glowing like if she didn’t comply he'd hurt her. “Y.. yes papa” spitfire responded frightened of what he could do to her as she ran upstairs to her room. Her two half siblings laughing at her as they came down the stairs, they were both unicorns who looked a lot like there father, one had a deeper yellow coat and blue eyes and lighter brown hair, the other deep brown hair and a light coat with burgundy eyes, they were called stellar and cosmos stellar was the female unicorn cosmos the younger male unicorn both were older than spitfire. And both were spoiled with clothing and toys and whatever they wished for. Spitfire shut the door of her small room, tears dwelling in her eyes that she wiped away hearing her siblings laughing with there biological father, as spitfire sat down at her small wooden desk which was painted white same for the chair both weren’t very stable and could only just support a book on the desk and spitfire on the chair as the wood was rotting after her siblings soaked it in water before painting it. Spitfire grabbed the book she was hoping to start a book about the princess and got on her chair and began to read loosing herself in the book, spitfire loved to read and learn, with that soon she’d be starting school which could extend her knowledge of the world around her, she already knew about cutie marks as she got hers the year prior, during a trip to the woods camping with the rest if her family, she run into a phoenix and for some peculiar reason understood it the next morning waking up with her cute mark, her parents were confused and father angry, sadly refusing her a cutsinera to celebrate getting her mark. Once spitfire Finished the book she sat it down on her bookshelf and read the time, it was 7pm why hadn’t her father came to get her for dinner she wondered as she wandered downstairs, “go back to your room” her father yelled at her, “but papa i haven’t ate yet” spitfire said dully, “your not eating till i say you can now go back you your room” he yelled to which spitfire nodded and went to sit on her bed, it was two hours till her bedtime so she had to stay up she herd her dad open some of his happy juice downstairs, which she wasn’t pleased about but got a thinner book and began to read, before she knew it two hours had passed so she got ready for bed. After getting ready spitfire head a knock at her locked bedroom door, “who's there?” She ask with no response so she got into bead with a small pink unicorn plush that had a silver horn and hoofs and white main and tale, that was her favourite childhood toy thats she still had to this day, seconds later as she dosed off she heard the sound of wood breaking sending her into a panic and waking her up her father had broken down her bed room door and was waking over the splintered wood towards her picking her up in his magic and contorting her back legs until he herd multiple snaps to which spitfire screamed at each one, he was breaking her legs before her first day of school, he then did the same to her pelvis dropping her back onto the mattress where she passed out. To that spitfire woke up and checked around her making sure he wasn’t there and couldn’t hurt her, but to her surprise she found herself in the barracks with her team surrounding her panicked, like someone died.
