//------------------------------// // A note at the door // Story: Hellponies // by Hellpony //------------------------------// Luna's moon hung full in the night sky as Twilight Sparkle walked around her libary, checking everything for the final time before bed, when suddenly there was a flash of lighting. "Weird, Dash didn't say anything about a storm." she said to herself, checking the weather schedule. There was no storms scheduled for the next few days. "Must be an Everfree storm." she thought to herself. As Twi turned away to head to bed, somepony started banging on the door. "I'll get it!" Spike called out, running toward the door. Lighting struck again as he reached the door. He opened the door, only to find no pony there. He was just about to close the door when noticed something was attached to the door itself. "Twi, you might want to see this!" he hollered to her. Twi walked to the door to see a dagger pinning a rolled up scroll to the door. On the scroll and dagger hilt was a insigina of a stylized flame. She was wary of handling either item, since it had only been a month since the Changling Invasion of Canterlot. She did a quick, but through, scry spell on both items. The scroll was harmless paper, but the dagger sent her scrambling back in terror. It was made of Spatial metal. Now, Spatial metal is quite rare. It can only made by blending Solar Steel and Lunar Iron in a celestial forge and cooling the resulting metal on Luna's moon during the peak of a eclipse. It's only properties are that it will never tarnish or dull, and, when made into a blade, will not leave a wound. Instead it will strike at the soul and life force of it's victim. All known samples were melted down eons ago and forged into the regila that both Princesses were. The only reason she know this was because of her connection with Celestia. All of this rushed through Twilight's head in an instant as she starred at the blade. Gingerly, she pryed the dagger out of the door with her magic. "Spike, I just remembered something. Rarity wanted a list of spells that she could use on her dresses. Could you give the list to her?" Twilight asked her number one assisstant. "Sure, anything for Rarity." he said. Quickly, she wrote a note to Rarity. Rarity, Something has come up. You need to watch Spike for a few hours. I told him this was a list of spells for dresses. Whatever you do, do NOT allow him back here until tommorow. Please, I need you to do this for me! I will explain later. -Twilight She rolled it up and handed it to Spike. Without another word, he left, running so fast he almost left an green and purple blur in his wake. Twi grabbed the dagger and laid it carefully on the table before me, braking the seal on the scroll and read it. Dearest Twilight Sparkle, I know you hunger for knowledge above all else. Due to this fact, and that you alone wield the Element of Magic itself, I present you with a unique present. I will reveal the TRUE history of Equis and the royal family of Equestria to you. The only thing you have to do is focus your magic on the Spatial dagger and recite the incanation on the bottom of this letter. Yours truely, Infernus She starred at the dagger, trying to decide weather to contact the Princesses or to accept the mysterious pony's offer. Finally Twi's hunger for knowledge prevailed. She focused her horn on the dagger and spoke the incanation. "Ut qui loquuntur hac praeda introitum ad dominium gehennam mannis." Suddenly Twi's body was filled with light, her body coursing with pure power. The spell reached its peak as lighting struck her inside the libary. With a blinding flash and a thunderous boom, she was gone. As the last of her magic faded into the ether, Pinkie bounced in from under the table. "Twi, I need to tell you something. My Pinkie Sense warned me an important choice was going to be made and..." her voice faltered as she saw the dagger and letter. Her mane fell as she read the note. "Oh no, Twi. You did not accept his offer. You don't know what you just did!" she whispered to herself. She quickly bounced back under the table. Only to emerge in front of the royal palace in Canterlot. "Halt, who goes there?" a royal guard asked as she approached the front gates. "Pinkamena Diane Pie, Element of Laughter. I need to see Princess Celestia imediatly." Pinkie said, her face serious. "Sorry, Princess Celestia ordered that she is not to be disturbed today. Leave." the guard replied. "Fine. Then I guess I have just go through you." Pinkie said. "I think you should just leave." the guard reepeated. Pinkie just grinned a sly grin."Back up!" The guard shouted as he pounced onto Pinkie Pie, trying to pin her to the ground. All of the other guards in front of the palace jumped as well. In all of the confusion, Pinkie found it simple to shift into Pinkie Space, the dimmension above the kind most ponies normally occupy. She simply walked through the guards and into the palace. She entered the throne room where Celestia sat on her throne. She bowed, returning to normal space. "Celestia, I have something important to tell you." she said. Celestia took a double take. "Ms. Pie... how... the guards..." the solar ruler stammered before settling the matter as Pinkie being Pinkie. "Sorry to intrude, your majesty. I have dire news. I went over to Twilight's place to investigate a strange Pinkie Sense I got and when I got there there was only these there and Twilight was gone." Pinkie explained as she grabbed the dagger and letter from her mane. Celestia examined the dagger and letter. "This is not good. You know what this means?" she whispered to herself and Pinkie. "Yes. The hellponies are back and they got Twilight." Pinkie agreed. A/N: Here is my first MLP:FIM story. This will be the story behind my OC and avatar. I am also looking for an editor for this story.
