//------------------------------// // Log - 04 - Setteling down [Edited] // Story: The Magi-Net : Arrival // by Wreck //------------------------------// Tee was currently waiting at what seemed to be a train station outside of Canterlot. His infiltration processor was almost broken because of all those doctors still asking "are you alright, no pain in -place-" etc. Just as soon as he made it out of the local hospital he reviewed his "visit" to "prison" as Sarah once said. If the records give him any kind of comparing both systems. For the one time in his existence Tee felt a small shiver. What scientist would do to get every detail on his technology is just . . . sickening in a way. Even for a cyborg programmed to imitate and kill its target in so many ways. . . . Back on topic, Tee currently watched the tracks of the train waiting for a sign of vibrations that would indicate the distance and speed of the train. Before he could wait longer than a few moments a familiar face flew down surrounded by guards. "I see the doctors finally let go of you. How are you feeling my little pony." Celestia asked. Tee turned towards her. "I said it many times to doctors. I am fine. But I still don't understand, what 'settling down' means." Tee stated. Celestia only schools her head. "Don't worry Tee. My student has been very... Let's say she sort of feels guilty for you being hospitalized during the return of my sister." Celestia stated. Tee looked slightly down and started cold calculations. Twilight Sparkle feeling guilt for this units damage during "Event 01". Advice required from emotion core. Emotion core advice - tell her that it's not her fault if she starts "exploding" or much harder blaming herself let her "vent" the guilt out of her system. . . Prime core accepts. "I will talk to her. She needs to know that harm came to me because I won't allow any sentient beings to be dealt with any lethal damage." Tee stated. Celestia seemed intrigued. There was still someone as noble to not only defend anyone against deadly events but also every being. Not every pony, every being. "I hope that you will have fun with your new friends," Celestia stated and waved her hoof. Then she flew away with the -amount- of guards. Tee turned back on the rails and saw the vibrations that meant that the train would arrive in less than 10 minutes. New mission - Create safehouse. Safehouse - a location where this unit can work on: Power, Research, Manufacture, Maintenance. Prime Core accepts. -Meanwhile in Ponyville- "What do you think, Spike?" Twilight asked her assistant. "I think we have to try another restaurant. I mean, I like grass just fine, but would it hurt anybody to offer some gemstones?" He stated. "I mean about the Gala and the ticket and who I should take." Twilight corrected the question. Twilight and Spike went both to eat lunch. Ever since the tickets for the Gala appeared, Twilight couldn't decide on who to take with her. All her friends currently had some reason to go to the Gala... But Twilight could not just take one of her friends and leave the others. "Oh. You're still on that?" Spike questioned. "Spike, listen. How do I choose? And when I do choose, will the other four be mad at me? I mean, I could give up my ticket and give away two, but that would still leave three disappointed ponies. What if I—" Twilight started but got interrupted by her assistant burping out a green flame from which a latter appeared. "*nervous laugh* Sorry, it's from Princess. *Opens and mutters* Oh finally. Tee was just set free of the hospital a few hours ago and should be here on the way. And Twilight stop blaming yourself." Spike summed up the latter. Twilight sighed. "Maybe Tee could help. But I doubt he even heard of such thing as Gala. *Sight*" Twilight stated. "I don't think he even knows about Gala. Heck, he didn't know who Celestia was. But look on the other side, he could have dealt with this situation at some point." Spike responded. "Ah, your food" Stallion said while he left. When Twilight tried to take a bite a horde of ponies ran past them. The stallion had a questioning look. "What?" Twilight asked. "Why area of few meters around you is not covered in the rain?" A familiar voice asked. Twilight turned and saw Tee that looked like he stood under the rain... Wait he actually was standing in rain. Twilight started looking around and noticed that everywhere was rain, but not a small area around her. She looked up towards the small hole in the clouds above her. "What's going on?" Twilight asked. In the hole, she saw a figure of... Rainbow Dash... "Hi there, best friend forever I've ever ever had. Enjoying the sunny weather? Hey Though Guy, they let you out of the hospital?" Rainbow stated. Tee glanced at Twilight... She looked annoyed. "Rainbow Dash, what are you doing?" Twilight asked the Pegasus. "Whaddya mean? I just saw the smartest, most generous pony about to get rained on, so I thought I'd kick a hole in the clouds to keep her dry so she could dine in peace, that's all." Dash responded. Tee raised his eyebrow. "Rainbow, you're not trying to get extra consideration for the extra ticket by doing me extra special favors, are you?" Twilight asked. Running all possible scenarios... Probability of rivalry between friends - reason - not enough tickets for all of them. Calculating. . . "Me? No no no, of course not. Seriously, I'd do it for anypony. *gulp* Heh heh, eh." Dash started sweating. Twilight looked straight at tee who still was ignoring the rain. Emotion detected. . . Translating. . . Nervousness Dash is a terrible liar. "Rainbow, I am not comfortable accepting unwanted favors, so I'd appreciate it if you close up that rain cloud right now," Twilight stated. "*sigh* Fine." Dash closed the small gap in the clouds. Then Twilight was soaked with water from the clouds. "Could you explain - why is she trying to get whatever you have?" Tee asked. Twilight tried not to sound concerned or annoyed. But Tee could just detect those emotions that currently ran in Twilight's thoughts. "Celestia sent me two tickets for a G- ekhm a certain famous party, and I don't know who to give it to! Right let's go before-" Twilight said but was interrupted by Rarity who stood below umbrella that looked like it was made out of gems... Wait... It had some gems on its side. Tee thought that this is completely ineffective around... Anything. "Twilight, it's raining." Rarity stated. Emotion core - No sh*t Sherlock. Prime core - explain. Emotion core - humans used to say this. "No, really?" Twilight answered with sarcasm. "Come with me before you catch a cold." Rarity stated as she grabbed Twilight. Tee and Spike looked at each other. "This is going to be a problem." Spike sighed. "Correct." Tee stated, soon both of them followed Twilight and Rarity. -Later- Tee currently stood next to Spike in another side of the room where Twilight and Rarity have been doing their "makeover" Tee heard some noise that could only be compared to construction tools... Rarity then revealed Twilights new clothes. Tee analyzed it and was... To say the least unimpressed. He saw many fashionable clothes from the human culture... *Shudder* He won't start looking through them any time soon. Tee prefers simple and effective clothing like his old jacket and sunglasses. "And you. Oh, Spike, I have a dandy little outfit for the dashing gent." Rarity stated. Spike tried to run but was grabbed by Rarity. After Spike got revealed... Prime core - why does this remind me of a few human movies. Emotion core - *wheeze laughter* Because it IS *wheeze laughter* Prime core - Are you laughing? Emotion core - No? ... ... Prime core - Wait since when can we think? Emotion core - Oh the update finished. Prime core - What update? "I told you, I don't want any part of this girly gala gunk. See you back at the library." Spike ran away while leaving the clothes on the ground. Rarity looked at Tee. "Before you ask, No. I'm going with Spike to the library." Tee stated as he left two mares to their own problems. -At the Library- "Gosh, what do you think they will do to get those tickets?" Spike asked Tee who currently read a book about The Gala. "Absolutely. Anything. If this event is comparable to a few celebrations back where I am from. Then you should be happy that an entire town is not behind us asking for the ticket." Tee stated. Spike was currently setting up the bookcase section E-3. "What do you think will be the outcome of this? Even guessing is better than nothing." Spike said. Running calculations... 4 possibilities. "There are only four outcomes I can tell right now. 1- She takes the ticket with herself and you or one of her friends and the rest starts thinking they are not worth the friendship. 2- she gives up the ticket and two of her friends go while the rest feel the same thing as in the first outcome but slightly less since Twilight also would stay. 3- she returns the tickets to Celestia and says that she needs more. 4- she returns the tickets to Celestia and tells that it's not worth it without all of her friends. I don't know which is the correct one but it will end in one of those ways. Unless someone creates a new option." Tee stated. Spike seems to have heard most of the parts. "Anyway, since you are Settling somewhere in Ponyville- you should find a place to build your home right?" Spike started. "Yes. I would prefer a place where few live and it's close to any bigger rock formation." Tee stated. Spike started scratching his chin. "Mhh no I can't tell about any rock formations like that are in Ponyville... Slightly deeper in Everfree there are such places but who would want to live there?" Spike stated. "Zecora... And me." Tee stated annoyed slightly. The dragon appeared to ignore him. -Minutes later- Tee continued reading books he pulled randomly from the shelves. Spike was currently in the other room sleeping. Then through the door of the library came Fluttershy with a -number- of animals. "Oh. Hi Tee. I'm glad to see you are alright. Please don't mind me." Fluttershy said in a slightly more normal volume of voice. As she started to... Use a sponge to clean the walls that are made out of natural unprotected wood from the tree? "Whatever you are doing, it makes no sense. At all." Tee stated. Fluttershy turned to him. "Um... What do you mean." Fluttershy tilted her head. "Why are you using a sponge to clean the wall which is made out of wood. A wooden wall without any special protective layer with a larger amount of water is a terrible idea." Tee stated. Fluttershy appeared in deep thought. Before she could respond the door was opened by Twilight who seemed annoyed and concerned at the same time. "Fluttershy, not you too?" Twilight was concerned. Tee looked at her. "Oh, well, hello Twilight. I hope you don't mind, but we're all doing a little spring cleaning for you." Fluttershy said cheerfully. Tee only raised his eyebrow. "Cleaning as in - Using an amount of water on the unprotected wooden wall." Tee said while still reading a book. Twilight looked at Fluttershy and a few of her "animal friends". "It's summer, and Tee is right. This is natural wood you are cleaning you know." Twilight stated. "It was Angel's idea." Fluttershy lied. "Negative." Tee muttered. "You're not doing this for the ticket, are you?" Twilight asked. "Oh no, I'm doing this because you're my very best friend. Right, Angel? Oh, yes, we are just doing this for the ticket." Fluttershy answered. At least this Angel knew when not to lie. "No, no, no! Well, this was all very nice of you and Angel, but I'm not accepting any extra favors until I've made my final decision, so I'm going to have to ask you to leave." Twilight stated firmly. "Twilight there are-" Before Tee could finish Twilight was snatched by Pink arms. "-ponies outside..." Tee frowned slightly. "This is getting out of hand." Tee stated to no one in particular. "*Yawn* Wha- What happened? Tee what happened." Spike awoke and walked into the room. "You went to sleep." Fluttershy came and started cleaning. Her cleaning was a terrible idea. Twilight came. Fluttershy wanted a ticket for a favor. Twilight opened the doors. Ponies outside the doors snatched Twilight. You wake up and ask me what happened." Tee summed up the last moments. Spike looked through the window. "Crap, it's Pinkie. At this point, the whole town knows about the tickets. I gotta save Twilight!" Spike stated as he ran through the doors and from the sound made outside. Tee guessed that Spike managed to Un-Snatch Twilight from the crowd. "..." Tee frowned at the annoying conflict for the tickets. Prime core - I really think this is stupid. Emotion core - At this point, this is not even amusing. We should help Twilight at least lose all this attention. Prime core - approved. Infiltrator program ... any suggestions? Infiltrator programming - I have a few ideas... First- Tee started listening to his own programs and rose from the seat, and left the building. -Meanwhile under a certain bridge- "Are they gone?" Spike asked quietly. Currently Spike and Twilight were hiding under the bridge. "I don't kno- Woah!" Twilight got grabbed by someone. "Twilight?!" Spike gasped. But shortly was welcomed by a familiar face. "Come." Tee stated as he gave the drake a small boost. "What are you-" Twilight asked. "Getting you away from the hungry crowd. And no I don't care about tickets." Tee stated. "At least somepony doesn't give me the creep in this town." Twilight sighed. The next few minutes were somehow quietest in the entire chase through the Ponyville. Somehow Tee knew when to move and where to move. After a while, they managed to get to the library. "whew. That's the first thing that went the right way today." Twilight felt a slight relief. "How long do you think they will search for us? And what if they find us?" Spike asked. "Most of the locals will surrender the chase and go to sleep. But your five friends won't give up -" Tee almost finished but the darkroom was filled with light. "-so easily. *Sight*" Tee felt annoyance as he saw the five mares sitting next to the window. Twilight screamed loudly while Spike facepalmed. "I can't decide, I just can't decide! It's important to all of you and I just can't stand to disappoint any of you, and giving me gifts and doing me favors won't make any difference, because you're all my friends and I wanna make you all happy and I can't, I just can't!" Twilight "vented" herself on her friends. Now she hid from their sight. "Twilight, sugar, I didn't mean to put so much pressure on you, and if it helps, I don't want the ticket anymore. You can give it to somepony else. I won't feel bad, I promise." Applejack was the first one to surrender the chase. "Me too. I feel just awful that I made you feel so awful." Fluttershy also surrendered. "And me too. It's no fun upsetting your friends." Pinkie stated. "Twilight, it was unfair of me to try to force you as I did." Rarity was the last one to surrender. "That means the ticket is mine. Haha, I! I uh... Uhh...You know, I haven't perfected my signature moves for the Wonderbolts anyway. I don't need that ticket either." Dash surrendered after a slight internal battle. "We all got so gun-ho about going to the gala that we couldn't see how un-gun-ho we were making you." Applejack stated. "We're sorry, Twilight." The five mares said in unison. "So what are we going to do with the tickets?" Pinkie asked. "Have you ever heard of the phrase Return to sender?" Tee asked. Twilights eyes slightly became wider. She stood up. The rest of the group looked at Tee. "What?!" The five mares were shocked. But Twilight seemed to understand what he meant. "Spike, take down a note. Dear Princess Celestia, I've learned that one of the joys of friendship is sharing your blessings, but when there are not enough blessings to go around, having more than your friends can make you feel pretty awful. So, though I appreciate the invitation, I will be returning both tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala. If my friends can't all go, I don't wanna go either." Twilight said and Spike wrote. "Twilight, you don't have to do that." Applejack stated. "Nope. I've made up my mind. Spike, you can send the letter now." Twilight stated while Spike burned the latter with his green fire. "It's okay, girls. I couldn't possibly enjoy myself without my best friends there with me... ...So I would rather not go at all." Twilight made a small speech. Her five friends "awwwed" and laughed slightly. Spike appeared to have need of sneezing. Tee walked to him and hit his back a few times. Spike managed to sneeze after that and a latter appeared. "A letter from the princess? That was fast." Twilight noted. "My faithful student Twilight, Why didn't you just say so in the first place?" Spike read as he pulled out six tickets. The girls gasped, while Tee only chuckled. "I was right." Tee stated. While the girls were confused about his statement, Spike chuckled slightly. "Seems like it," Spike responded. Tee turned away and started walking towards the exit. "Tee wait! Won't you ask about a ticket? You did help me." Twilight asked. Tee stopped in the doors. "No thanks. I have no need for such celebrations. I still have work on finding a place to place my home." Tee stated as he exited the building. "That's mighty of him." Applejack noted. "I still haven't got to make his 'Welcome to Ponyville' Party!" Pinkie half-shouted as she disappeared. "I'm... Somewhat sorry for the tough guy. He seems used to not being appreciated." Dash noted. Before anyone could say anything Spike burped out another latter. "*clears throat* PS- I almost forgot here are two additional tickets for Spike and Tee. Sorry, my mistake. Princess Celestia. Who is going to take the ticket to him?" Spike readout as he pulled out two tickets. "Uhh..." The group now had one question. . . "Where did he go?"
