Dear Twilight and Starlight,
You're not going to believe this but the two of us had to work together to defeat these villains. I was initially going to do this with my lousy acquaintances but they were taken captive and then they took Bright Beam's harem captive and threatened to take them through some crazy portal. Well they did so and then turned this freaky purple liquid loose on the town. Now using our combined magic, we were able to disintegrate it. Doing that actually saved the town because it was leveling forest. Now you see, the two of us can work together and save the day!
Well then we went through the portal and we found these witches who kidnapped Bright Beam's harem and my acquaintances. They were causing us quite a few problems but they must be weak because we were able to kill them with our magic before rescuing their captives and bringing them home. Then together we drained that portal of its energy and got everypony home safely.
You see, we worked together to save Equestria! Don't you think that is worth at least a little something.

Dear Bright Beam and Luster Dawn,
First off let me say that I am very happy for the two of you and proud of BOTH of you. I was watching things from my balcony and the things I saw did impress me, a lot. I'm not sure what my sister was doing although I'm pretty sure it involved bucking her harem. I know what it is you two want and I personally think you are deserving of it but Luster, what happens with you is largely up to my sister. I will see if she will discuss this with me but if she won't, I might consider going over her head.
Hopefully both of us will see you two soon.

After reading the letter, Starlight took it and headed towards the other side of the palace, Twilight's side. This was something that she dreaded but knew that it had to be done. What her exact plans were if Twilight refused to do anything regarding Luster's success were unknown but one thing was certain, she knew that the time had come for Bright Beam to fulfill her destiny.
When she reached what was the boundary between what was her side of the palace and Twilight's she was greeted by a guard, "Starlight, what are you doing here?"
Starlight replied, "There is something very important that I need to discuss with my sister."
The guard developed a glare on his face which prompted Starlight to flare her horn up in anger. He knew of Starlight's power and her temper so he then replied, "Very well."
Starlight headed towards the throne room despite not expecting Twilight to be there. There she would be greeted by an empty room and then figured that there was likely only one other place she could be, in her chambers having fun. When she approached the door to Twilight's chambers, she was met by a guard, a mare. She glared at Starlight and asked, "Just what the hell do you think you're doing?"
Starlight grunted, "I need to speak to my sister over activities involving her protege."
The guard sighed, "Very well, I shall see if she is available to talk to you."
The guard headed into the room and yelled, "Goddess-Queen Twilight, your sister needs to speak to you over something regarding your protege."
Twilight yelled, "Tell the bitch I'm busy."
Starlight could hear what she said and knew that if she didn't speak to her directly, that Luster's fate would be left up in the air. She flared up her horn, blew the door apart and stormed in. She found Twilight and Flurry Heart eating one another while Cadence and Velvet were doing the same. She grabbed Twilight in her aura, pulled her over to her and said, "Twilight, we need to talk over something Luster has done."
Starlight held the letter in front of Twilight who was not one bit pleased, "Starbitch, I don't care! I was having fun with Flurry and you disturb me over this?"
Starlight yelled, "Read it sister."
Twilight tried to break free of her sister's aura but couldn't. She yelled, "How the fuck is this possible? How the hell can you hold me in aura that I can't break?"
Starlight yelled, "Just read the damn letter, alright?"
Twilight began to read it and wasn't impressed at all despite what happened. She yelled, "I don't care, I'm busy."
Starlight suggested, "Sister, with what they did I think the time has come for them, BOTH of them. I think we need to go to Ponyville and ascend them."
Twilight yelled, "You go ahead and go ascend them. I have much more important things on my agenda, such as making Flurry happy!"
Starlight suggested, "Sister, Luster is YOUR protege. Technically you should be the one to ascend her."
"I don't care! If you think it is so important, you go ascend both of them." She continued to struggle and added, "Now let me go before I start another magic war! I'll throw you, your stupid daughters and your concubine into another dimension!"
Starlight laughed, "Ha! Remember last time sister? Remember how I easily escaped and then Toola and Coconut used the bell on you? If you do that again, you'll suffer the same fate and I won't give a shit what mom thinks."
Twilight yelled, "Ugh, just go ascend both of them and let me go!"
Starlight set Twilight back down on the bed with Flurry and laughed, "I will. Oh and you have fun fucking your little half-sister."
Starlight headed back towards her side of the palace and could hear Twilight yelling. She did not care though, she had two ponies to ascend. Once she reached her balcony, she took flight off towards Ponyville. Once she arrived she decided that rather than going to visit Bright Beam right away, that she would go and pay Luster a visit. Given that she had tried to make things right with Trixie, she wasn't as nervous as she was the last time.
When she arrived at the castle, she knocked on the door and it was answered by Trixie. She still harbored negative feelings towards the Goddess-Queen but remained civil, "Oh, it's you. What do you want?"
"I need to speak to Luster, her time has come."
Trixie's eyes grew wide as she had a feeling that it was what Luster had been hoping for for so long. What was a frown turned into a smile as she rushed back towards the throne room to get her, "Luster, Starlight is here. She said something about your time coming."
Luster immediately got up and followed Trixie back out front. There she was met by Starlight. During most meetings between the two, which were very few, Starlight and Luster both had scowls on her faces. This time though, Starlight had a warm smile on her face. She asked, "Luster, you need to come with me over to Bright Beam's. There is something extremely important that I need to discuss with both of you."
Normally the very thought of having to go anywhere near Bright Beam made Luster cringe, but this time it was completely different. She was curious about one thing, "Goddess-Queen Starlight, can Trixie come?"
Starlight gave her a smile, "Of course she can, this will involve her in a way as well."
The three left the castle and headed over towards Bright Beam's mansion. Starlight would be happy to see that she was outside. She yelled, "Bright Beam, we need to talk."
Bright Beam saw who she had with her and wasn't thrilled but knew that Starlight could and did get angry at times. She approached her and Starlight said, "Bright Beam, I need you to follow us into the forest."
Bright Beam asked, "Why?"
Starlight replied, "You just do, alright."
Starlight began to walk towards the forest and the three followed. Bright Beam had no idea why she was leading them that way but Luster had a feeling that she didn't want to do the ascensions right there in town. After an hour, they all arrived at the castle of the two sisters. There Starlight stopped, turned to where she was facing them and began,
"Bright Beam, Luster Dawn, I am very impressed. You two did something that I thought was impossible. You two actually got along well enough to work together to not defeat and kill some villains, but you also saved Ponyville from that purple goop and rescued those closest to you."
Her focus then shifted to Luster, "And Luster, I know you have often referred to those six as mere acquaintances and complained about them a lot but I can't help but wonder if perhaps they mean a bit more to you than you let on. Most ponies wouldn't put their lives on the line to save the lives of six ponies they don't exactly care for."
Luster replied, "Well I couldn't just let them die like that! Yeah I'm not close with them and they annoy the hell out of me most of the time but nopony, well maybe with the exception of Twibitch, deserves to suffer that fate!"
"And that is why I think you are deserving." She then turned to Bright Beam and continued, "And while I know you would go and try to save your harem without any hesitation, you worked with a pony you do not like to aid in saving Scootaloo along with five other ponies that I know you hate."
"Well like Luster said, nopony except your bitch sister would deserve that kind of fate!"
She motioned for Trixie to move the left and grabbed the two in her aura. She gave them a smile and asked, "Ladies, are you ready!"
The two nodded and Starlight began the ascension spell. The three became encircled in a bright white ball. As the spell was working, Luster and Bright Beam felt themselves growing a small amount and felt wings growing out of their backs. When the spell was finally finished and the three emerged from the ball, Luster and Bright Beam did something they had never done before. They gave one another genuine smiles, embraced and exclaimed, "We're Alicorns, we're Alicorns!"
Starlight gave the two a smile and added, "And Princesses!" She then turned towards Trixie and added, "Also, because you are married to Luster, you also become a princess by default."
Trixie could hardly believe it. Here was the pony that betrayed her in the worst way imaginable bestowing royal status upon her. She did something she never imagined she'd do, she rushed and embraced Starlight, "Thank you Goddess-Queen....."
"Trixie, you can just call me Starlight now."
"Thank you Starlight, thank you!"
Starlight gave her a smile but then Luster would ask what she considered an important question, "So what are we going to be the princesses of?"
Starlight stood there for a minute in thought before replying, "Well Luster, since you are running the school, you can be the Princess of Education. Bright Beam, with you going to be mayor come the beginning of the new year, you shall be the Princess of Governance."
Trixie asked, "What about Trixie? What about The Great and Powerful Trixie?"
Starlight replied, "You know, I'm not really sure. Don't worry, Luster and I can work together to figure something out. For now though, we've got a triple coronation to plan!"
The three began to jump up and down and celebrate as they followed Starlight back into town. While the three were obviously happy, so was Starlight. While she was curious about how Twilight would react to this, she wasn't exactly thrilled over how she would behave upon learning about the news.
