In a grass land of sorts, in an unknown world, the scenery looked perfectly normal. But everything was blocky! The trees were blocks and the grass and dirt were blocks! Even the flowers were pixel like! But out of all the things being blocky, there was a humanoid figure whose body was all blocky. His arms, legs, torso and head all blocks or rectangles! But, he was carefully dragging along 2 unblocky characters of who are both passed out. Healed, but not very conscious!
This block man is the one and only Steve, the only block man of the Overworld sub-dimension, and any of the other sub dimensions! Steve decided to take a break and set the 2 mares down on the grass next to each other, he then looked at them wondering how they got into the whole dimension itself.
After a while Steve began to take the 2 mares into a house made up of wooden blocks with a pathway leading to it. The inside consisted of a floor pattern made with different shades of wood colour. Furniture wise there was a bed with a chest next to it. There were also 2 bookshelves on top of each other and a furnace next to a workbench in another corner. Steve was heading up to a jukebox and put in a record which proceeded to play some relaxing music.
After listening to the record for a bit, Steve proceeded to place the 2 mares he had found on his bed which rested in a corner. After making sure that they were in a comfy position, he took a book out of the chest beside the bed and took out a book and quill.
Steve's Journal Entry #407
Today I had built myself a portal to get to the Nether. I figured my old friend would still be there, but as soon as I arrived I saw a whole army of ghasts closing in on what seemed to be another 3 ponies! I managed to get two of them of who now rest on my bed. One is a purple coloured one which appears to be a unicorn and another is a cyan colour with a rainbow mane and tail! She's a pegasus due to the wings. I...managed to patch them up with a healing potion that I was taking. It was given to me long ago. I can only imagine what I will be faced with as the pony who seemed to be brown in colour with a hourglass mark was left behind. I only barely managed to get these two out in time before the portal was destroyed. But how did they get here? I guess all questions will have to wait until they both wake up. I can only hope they won’t take this too hard on me....
Steve looked over his new journal entry and then looked over to the 2 sleeping mares.
"I guess I can only imagine what you must be experiencing...." he softly spoke. He placed his journal back into the chest and took out a bowl, a red mushroom and a brown mushroom. He proceeded over to the workbench (also known as the crafting table) and proceeded to combine the 3 to create mushroom soup. He took a small sip to make sure it was just right then placed a table by the bed and set the bowl on it.
Steve looked out of one of the windows to see that the day had turned to night.
"Well, let’s just hope ol' Mr T kept his machine running...." said Steve as he looked around the scenery in slight fear. He couldn't see much outside and the house was now lit up only by the torches on the wall. Steve then proceeded to lay down on the wooden floor as he began to sink into his slumber.
Morning in the next day
Twilight slowly opened her eyes while letting out a slight groan. She felt like she was sleeping for years. She looked to her side to find RD sleeping next to her. That is until Twilight began prodding her awake. Rainbow Dash's eyes flew open and began checking herself for cuts or bruises, only to be surprised there wasn't any. Twilight then did the same, also finding no damage. It was then where they noticed their surroundings. They took in the details of the house and then their eyes fell upon the sleeping block figure on the floor. A smell wafted through their noses and they spotted the mushroom soup. They then proceeded to drink half each so they were satisfied.
Steve began to awaken from his slumber and saw to 2 mares awake and looking at him.
"Ah, you’re awake. I was hoping it wouldn't be too long. I got there just in time too! Those ghasts nearly got you y'know. You had a few injuries but nothing the healing potion couldn't fix." he spoke to the mares.
Twilight then had alot of questions buzzing through her mind. "Oh, well, thank you for rescuing us and for that soup then but, where are we?"
Steve smiled a little "Well, you're in a completely different dimension. But this is what my friend calls a sub dimension called the Overworld. I managed to get you two out of the Nether."
"Yeah, the Doctor explained about dimension....well, sort of. He did give us much info really." Rainbow Dash cut in.
"The Doctor? He must've been that brown stallion against the wall. Before you worry I'm sure he's safe, because before I left I caught a glimpse of my buddy walking into the field. He knows these dimensions like the back of his hand!"
Twilight and RD gave each other looks of worry. "So...the Doctor isn't here?" they asked with concern.
Steve gave a small sigh "I'm afraid not, you 2 were the only ones I could get but your friend was too far out."
After a few hours of conversation about the world and dimensions, Steve finally told them about his journal that he kept in the chest. "I write down all interesting events in there. My recent entry is about me finding you two."
Twilight and RD both giggle slightly.
Steve turned to the mares "I'd love to stay and chat some more, but you look trustworthy enough. I'm afraid I've got to go gather some more wood. I'll be a few mins, maby a few hours depending on if I find anything."
Twilight and RD both nodded as Steve began to go through the door.
"Wait!" Twilight suddenly burst out.
"Yes?" Steve said as he turned to Twilight.
"I uh, never asked your name...."
Steve then smiled softly and turned towards the outside again. As he began walking he announced:
"They call me Steve."
