Chapter 3: Reasoning

"Are any of you aware of the Pre-Pony Era?" King asked looking around the room.

"Yes," Twilight said as she raised her hoof in the air. "No pony knows for sure what it was like, but some scientists think that there was a civilization before pony society that was highly advanced and were very power full and supposedly peaceful." She finished as she heard laughter coming from the small feline.

"That funny, those creatures were know as Ο άνθρωπος. Creatures that were very distructive in nature they wanted nothing but knowledge and power and they would kill anything and anyone that stood against them." King said as he got ready to tell the story.

Date: Pre-Equestrian Era

Ruins, they littered the waste land as time began to take its toll on once beautiful city. Time had not been kind to the city saw it held many secrets for a long time. How was the time when life began to spring it back into its natural ways. Nature beginning to take back control over land that I’ve been destroyed and desecrated by the people who once inhabited it. Cities were burnt to the ground as remains of every day items now nothing but buried in dirt ash and steel as well as under them countless remains that litter the cities and roads that connected it all together. Species thought they could defend their homes with every single armament that they could, But it just wasn’t enough.

The cities of the old civilization for a Questria had fallen and we were set to take their place. But there was a time in between that with those same species with whatever was left, thrived. Thrived from the ashes of war in conflict and now then become stories for old trying to one day start a new. It would not come to pass. Life would never grow back.

Life was barren, sickening, and most of all deadly. Nothing could survive the waste land of the ones beautiful rich and thriving green planet. It was no longer a haven it was now a graveyard. The grave that its own kind had created for itself never to recover again. But there is a story written in Cave paintings in hieroglyphics, say depicting that one day life would be fully restored and they would return but not as what they were, but one of their own would be reincarnated to help bring about the New Age. Bring an age of peace where the Ancients could not. These ancients were referred to as, “The Great Wardens”. The Great Wardens were the powerful race that would take on the ones before and would start what their ancestors could not.

“That’s the story of old. The legend that would spread through out the millennium.” King finished as he looked at some of them with confusion, but the purple one writing on a piece of parchment.

“I have to send this to the Princess!” She exclaimed which made King have an idea to prevent that and he did not like it when he did this.

He inhale some dust in his nose, and yes it is dust like actual house dust, and felt the need to sneeze. He aimed it at the parchment and he let out a sneeze sending a beam of magic at the parchment burning it into dust.

“Oops, my bad.” King said trying to sound innocently, some how them buying it.

“Well can you repeat the story?” Twilight said with irritation.

“Nope it’s a one time thing, plus I hate repeating myself.” King said as she looked at him with a flat expression. He would she Ms. sunny ass who was the evil one in this little game of hers.

“So um what’s your name?” Flutter shy asked warning a glance from King.

“Who wants to know?” He asked starting to get a little defensive, channeling magic into his paws ready to blast a hole into anyone’s skull that tried to send him to the princesses.

“Oh, well, um we don’t know your name that’s all.” Flutter shy said as King settled down from the magic channeling letting out a tiny gas bomb that no pony would smell. At least that’s what he hoped.

“I suppose that’s a good enough reason. Well then my name is da...King. Yes my name is King.” King said refusing to use his first name. “With that out of the way, anymore questions

“Actually, King, one more question, do you have a place to stay?” Flutter shy asked as King assumed she might ask this to somepony she may have met or something he didn’t know nor did he care.

“Yes.” He said simply

“Where might that be darling?” Rarity asked.

“The abandoned castle, that’s where.” King said which earned him a lot of concerned glances from the ponies in the room.

“What?” He asked innocently and the next thing he knew he had another face full of yellow fur. He wondered if this would become a reoccurring thing.

After the 30 minute long hug and using magic to help him breath. The butter Pegasus offered him a place to stay in her home he tried to say no, but she was as stubborn as Celestia being called a bitch by king 50 times in a row none stop or constantly telling her to suck a fat one until she left his cell room.

King would admit he liked telling her that one because he would always make fun of her for it would never happen. Sometimes it would make his guards laugh too, which made it better for him at times when he would become extremely bored.

After some convincing he accepted Fluttershy’s offer to stay at her home. He quickly teleport back to his home, grabbed a couple of items and teleported back to town.

His teleportation was different from others he had to have a starting point and like a map pinpoint the point B to which he could teleport to, he can still teleport anywhere he just chooses not to risk being teleported into a rock. With his quote on quote “New home” he walked with Fluttershy to her humble abode.

“So king, why did you decide to live in the castle and not come here?” Fluttershy asked King as they both walked through the town’s streets.

“It was the closest thing that felt like home to me.” King said lowering his head his ear flattening against his head.

Fluttershy felt she had said something wrong and started to apologize to him, but King kept saying it was all in the past.

They eventually came upon Fluttershy cottage and King had to admit it looked quite nice compared to all the other homes. They both walked up to the door, Fluttershy pushing open the door and turning on the lamp that was next to the couch and the door way that lead into the kitchen.

“So King how can you speak, if you don’t mind me asking?” Fluttershy asked.

“Magic, that’s all I am saying.” King said
