The battle to save both words from Zeronull's evil clutches continues. 

Every living thing on both worlds that refused Zeronull's offer to be silenced was now fighting back, whether it be through Dueling like the humans of earth or fighting like those of the Duel Monster Spirit World. 

"I SYNCHRO SUMMON!" Cold yelled as his monster appeared. "Frozen Heart, Lord of the Javelin!" The monster appeared alongside Lord of the Sword. "Now attack Frozen Heart Fortress Golem!" Javelin threw its weapon and hit the ice giant, doing no damage since their points were exactly the same. "Javelin's skill!" The spear was stuck into the ice, the Synchro monster pulling the rope attacked to it and forcing Fortress Golem to its feet. "Your monster is switched to ATK mode, meaning Lord of the Sword can now attack!" The Fusion Monster rushed forward and slashed its Frozen Heart brother in half, destroying it and wiping out the clone Cold's Life Points. 

In another area, Soarin was Duelling his clone and it had his Assault Convoy while he had Jet Jammer and Sub Surfer. "My turn," Soarin drew and smiled with what he saw. "And now I banish these two monsters in order to combine them together!" The machines leapt into the air before linking up, "Say hello to Techno Force Jet Surfer!" He cried as the machine landed. (A2300/D1500/L6) "Attack!"

"Your monster cannot defeat mine," Soarin's clone announced. 

"It will after I play Limiter Removal," Soarin explained as his monster took to the air. Seconds later, the machine began to glow as its power rose. (A4600/D1500/L6). The jet and sub combo unleashed a barrage of attacks, hitting Assault Convoy and completed destroying it alone with the clone. 

"I PENDULUM SUMMON!" Misty cried as her monster shot out of the portal, revealing Divine Sky Angel. Her clone had Shining Valkyrie Queen and Angelic Dragon. "I play Lightspeed, to increase my Angel's ATK points by one thousand. (A3300/D2600/L7) "Attack!" The angel fired an arrow, hitting Valkyrie Queen and destroying her. "And since you have another monster on the field, I can pay three hundred points to attack again." The angel fired again, hitting Angelic Dragon and destroying it while defeating the Misty fake. 

But then, another slime creature appeared and took her form. "They're endless." 

"They won't stop until Zeronull's been defeated," Trail reminded her as his dragon destroyed its twin. 

"We just have to keep holding out," Cadance told them as Crystal Empress destroyed Crystal Princess and whipped out the clone. As it did, Cadance's legs gave out and she fell to the floor. "But that's easier said then done." 

"We're not giving up!" Shining told her. 

"Giving up?" Rainbow asked as her ace destroyed its clone, Applejack and Rarity doing the same. "Who said anything about giving up." 

"That's right!" Pinkie nodded, "Flash isn't giving up." 

"So neither are we," Maud cried. 

"We'll keep fighting," Marble agreed as the sister's monsters charged forward and destroyed their opponent. 

"That's right," Cold nodded. "We keep fighting, even if we feel like we're going to fall from exhaustion, we must hold these creatures back." Everyone else cheered and continued to fight on, though Cold knew it was only a matter of time. "Flash. We can't last much longer." He looked up at the Shadow Gate, "hurry." 



Up on the pyramid floated before the Shadow Gate, Flash stared down Midnight Sparkle and Zeronull. He only had three turns before Zeronull's skill activated and ended this Duel with Midnight's victory. 

All he had was Magna Wolf, who couldn't even attack and would be destroyed during Midnight's next turn, and Lunara. If he didn't draw another Pendulum Monster, he wouldn't stand a chance. 

"Go ahead, Alpha Zealot. Draw your card and try to find some way to defeat Zeronull. We both know that'll never happen." 

"Never say never," Flash told her. "Anything is possible as long as you believe." He reached for his deck, "and I believe in my deck." He drew his card and smiled when he saw what it was, "and my faith has rewarded me with Magna Caster Solaris!" He slapped the card down onto his Duel Disk as the pillar appeared besides him, his Pendulum Monster flying up besides Lunara before the portal began to form. "Cut through space time and carve the arc of victory!" The portal began to open as Flash cried, "I PENDULUM SUMMON!" 

A single light shot out of the portal and struck the ground, exploding to reveal Flash's ace. "Shine your light of victory once again, Flash Heart Dragon...ALPHA!" (A2500/D2000/L7/P4) The spawn of Harmonica stood up and spun on its wheeled feet before pointing at Midnight Archangel. "Skill of Flash Heart!" A portal opened up and sucked the Disharmian in, leaving Midnight with only Zeronull. "And since a monster was banished, I can draw a card." He did so and found it was a monster, but not one that could help. 

"So what did you get?" Midnight asked as Flash slapped the card on the Duel Disk. 

"I summon Crystal Tusk Magna Boar, in DEF mode!" In a flash of light, the robotic pig appeared between Flash Heart and Magna Wolf. (A1000/D1000/L3/P2) Flash looked over the cards in his hands and on the field, but none of them could stop Zeronull. "No choice. I end my turn." 

"Oh," Midnight gave him a sad look, "such a shame." She reached for her deck and drew her card. As she did, Magna Wolf screamed as the vines around it tightened. "Since it's my turn again, my Venom Ivy saps away another eight hundred points. (A0/D1200/L4) "And since your monster's ATK's hit zero, it's destroyed." The vines tightened to much and Flash's monster exploded, the teen grunting. 

"Sorry boy," he told it as Midnight continued. 

"Then, I'll use Fissure." The ground shook as an opening appeared in the ground beneath Magna Boar, the robot falling down into it and getting destroyed. "Poor Flash. His favourite style's all about surrounding himself with allies, but again and again he find himself alone." 

"I'm not alone," Flash gestured to Flash Heart, Solaris and Lunara. "And even when my Pendulum Monsters are destroyed, they're never truly gone." He held up his Duel Disk as the spirits of Magna Boar and Leghorn appeared besides him, "they're still with me in spirit." 

Midnight frowned. "Well when I'm done with you, not even your spirits will survive. Zeronull, ATTACK!" The outer god's crystal began to charge up, while a card from her deck slotted out. "And with another attack, his skill banishes another Zenith Dragon." She threw the card into the air and it shot into the Shadow Gate and phased into one of the last two orbs, Granebris appearing inside the orb as it began to light up and Zeronull's power level increased by another thousand points. (A5000/D5000/L12) "GO!"  

Flash watched as the Omega Deity of Destruction unleashed its attack. As it rocketed towards them, Flash Heart flew down and landed in front of Flash before shielding his body. Seconds later, the blast struck with such a force that Flash would have been blown right off the pyramid if Flash Heart hadn't protected him. "AUGH!" He screamed as the blast force pushed him into Flash Heart, the teen feeling like an astronaut during liftoff. 

The attack ended and Flash Heart Dragon's body was smoking despite taking no damage, the Alpha Zealot unfurling as Flash pulled himself forward. "Since another monster was banished, Flash Heart's ability lets me draw a card." He did so and when he saw what it was, he smiled. "Appear, Vail Pixie Alpha!" In a flash of light, the final Alpha Zealot appeared beside the other two. (A1000/D1000/L3/P12)

Midnight chuckled, "so it's just the three of you. Chosen by Harmonica to protect this accused world from my inevitability. How desperate she must have been, to pick such...flawed creatures to try and save this world." 

Flash frowned. "We may be flawed, but it's those flaws that make us special. Because nothing's perfect." 

"Which is exactly the problem," Midnight told him as she ended her turn. "This world is an imperfect mess, which should never have come to be. Look at everything that's occurred since it's creation. Countless wars and natural disasters that caused pain and suffering. Hatred and betrayal. Evil rising up again and again. What's the point of it all? Why let yourself endure that."

"The point is because of the people in my life that make it worth enduring," Flash told her. "If you understood that, you'd know why we don't want our worlds to end." He pointed at Midnight, "you'd know that if you let yourself feel Twilight's feelings. You'd understand-"

"NO!" Flash flinched. "I know her experiences. I know her existence. They are apart of me and I see nothing that proves my logic wrong. You are small. You are insignificant. You will be silenced!" 

"Not gonna happen," Flash reached for his deck. "If you refuse to accept these things, then I refuse to accept you!" He drew his card before pointing at his two monsters. "I tune Level three Vail Pixie Alpha with Level seven Flash Heart Dragon Alpha!" The fairy morphed into the trio of lights, which began to carve the rings around Flash Heart. "Embrace your infinite destinies and stride towards a future of limitless possibilities!" The two monster disappeared in an explosion of light. "I SYNCHRO SUMMON!"

The light shot down and struck the ground behind Flash, then faded to reveal Flash's hyper-evolved Synchro dragon. It let out a mighty roar that caused the whole area to shake, as blue lightning began to spark all around its body. "Flash Dragon...MAGNA STRIDER!" (A3300/D2500/L10/P10)

"Ahh," Midnight smiled, "excellent. Now I get to destroy one of every summoning style before the end of this Duel. And not only is this last one your strongest of the three, but it's also the silly style my former self loved so much." She mocked looking like she was about to cry, "it's almost symbolic." 

"Don't go writing your victory speech yet," Flash told her. "Magna Strider packs a pretty big punch." The dragon roared as it began to open its mouth, with blue lightning sparking as light then appeared within said mouth. "Now I attack with Flash Dragon, Magna Strider!" The light shot out of its mouth and flew towards the Omega Deity of Destruction.  "GOOOOO!"

The beam struck Zeronull, but it did no damage to it or the dragon firing. When the light of the attack, both Zeronull and Magna Strider were left unharmed while Midnight simply laughed. "Is that it. You honestly thought that would work." 

"It was worth a try," Flash told her. "And I'm not done yet." 

"What, you think your monster's ability will help you.!" 

"Yes!" He reached for his Duel Disk as the Extra Deck opened before taking out two cards. "I now banish two Pendulum Monsters from the Extra Deck!" Magna Boar and Leghorn both appeared on either side of the dragon and patted its leg before they were sucked into a pair of portals, while Magna Strider's eyes glowed.

The next thing the two of them knew, Magna Strider suddenly jumped up and was now standing on its back legs. "With that, Magna Strider can attack one more time!" The beast let out a mighty roar, as its boosters began to ignite.

"What's the point?" Midnight asked, "attack a million times if you want. It won't change anything. Zeronull is completely immune to destruction as long as I have a Zenith Dragon removed from play."

"Let's test that!" Flash yelled, "Magna Strider's skill! During his second attack, he gains one hundred ATK points for each of the Levels of all my banished monsters!" Magna Snake, Bunny, Rat, Boar and Leghorn all appeared around Flash's dragon in an astral form before they were sucked inside the crystal on its chest, the crystal now beginning to glow brightly as the dragon's power increased. (A4700/D2500/L10/P10) Magna Strider opened its mouth as light began to fill it once again, this time with such power that if its boosters weren't firing it would be pushed back by the force. "GOOOOO!" The dragon fired, filling the area with a blinding light.



Back on earth, the tiring Duellists were forcing themselves to keep Dueling until they saw a light coming from the Shadow Gate. 

"What's that?" Scootaloo asked. 

"I'm not sure," Rainbow told her. "Let's just hope whatever's causing it is on Flash's side." She would have said more, but her clone launched an attack and she had to focus on protecting herself with a Trap.

"Come on Flash," Cold told him as he beat another clone. "We can't keep this up forever." He looked up at the sky as the light began to die down.



The light of Flash's attack faded, allowing him and Midnight to finally open their eyes and look up at Zeronull. But alas, the outer god was still standing...floating. 

"HAA-HA-HA-HA-HAAAAA!" Midnight cried out the distant universe, "I told you. Nothing can stop the mighty Zeronull. All you've done is waste your time attempting the impossible. Now end your turn." 

Flash growled but had no other choice, "I place two cards face down and end my turn." Magna Strider's ATK points returned to normal. (A3300/D2500/L10/P10)

"And with that, you only have one turn left." Midnight reached for her deck, "now let's see how much damage I can do until then." She drew her card and smiled. "I start by summoning Disharmian of Resentment!" In a flash of dark light, Sunset's evil counterpart appeared. (A1800/D900/L4/P4) "Then play the Spell card, Disharmony Sacrifice." Resentment, Betrayal and Misery all began to look like they were in pain, then started crying out before the three of them were destroyed. 

"What did you do?" 

"Disharmony Sacrifice, which destroys every Disharmian on my field and then lets me drew the same number of cards." She did so and smiled when she saw them, then pointed at Flash's Synchro Monster. "Now, Zeronull, attack Flash Dragon!" The outer god's crystal began to glow, as Midnight's deck slotted out one final card. "With this," she took the card, "the final piece is put in place." She threw the card up into the air, the card flying into the Shadow Gate and phasing into the final orb before it began to light up like the rest of them. "I now banish the Zenith Dragon of Unbreakable Continents, Greaterra." The dragon appeared and within the wing sphere and powered up Zeronull, every Zenith Dragon now floating in the orbs and granting their power to the Omega Deity of Destruction. (A6000/D6000/L12) 

Flash could only watch as Zeronull unleashed a blast from its central orb, which flew across the field and struck Magna Strider. He reached down and grabbed onto whatever he could as the attack landed, causing a powerful shockwave that made Magna Strider scream despite not taking any damage. Flash grunted as he tried his best to hold on, losing his grip only seconds after the force died down and he was thrown backwards. "GYAH!" He cried as he hit the ground, while the light from the attack faded to show Magna Strider falling to the ground as well.  

"Augh!" Flash rolled over and crawled over to his beast, placing a hand on its head as it moaned. "Stay strong." 

"And now I play another Spell card," Flash turned to Midnight. "Devastating Curse." The card appeared before shooting out a blast of dark energy that struck Magna Strider and made it glow purple. 

Flash picked himself up, "what's happening?" As he asked that, his dragon was lifted into the air. 

"Devastating Curse. This Spell destroys one monster on the field and deals us both damage equal to that monster's Level times one hundred." With that, Magna Strider exploded and purple lightning shot down and struck both Flash and Midnight. 

"AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHH!" They both screamed as they felt themselves be bombarded with all the power

Midnight: 700

As the lightning faded, both Flash and Midnight stood shakily and still looked in pain. Flash's entire body felt exhausted, the strain of enduring Zeronull's attacks coupled with the last Spell's effects were pushing him to the limit. "Whenever Magna Strider is destroyed...I can chose to send him to either the Extra Deck of the Graveyard." He held up the Synchro Monster before placing it into the graveyard. 

Midnight smirked before throwing her last two cards face down and ending her turn. "You realise this is hopeless, right? You only have one turn left and after that, your world and everything you love will end." 

"Not if...not if...I..." Flash couldn't even get a sentence out due to his exhaustion, the teen's body hitting its limit and causing him to fall to his knees before hitting the ground face first. 

Midnight was surprised by this, but smirked. "And so this is how it ends. Not with a bang, but a whimper. Pathetic." 

Flash simply laid there, his body refusing to move. 'What happened?' He mentally asked himself as he tried to get up, but couldn't. 'I...I can't move my body.' A tear began to form, 'I wanted to save the world...and Twilight too.' The tear fell loose and hit the ground, 'is this as far as I could make it?'

He slowly began to feel his consciousness fading, Midnight's smile growing more and more sinister. But then, she noticed a light suddenly appear on the back of Flash's hand. His alpha mark. 

"It's a little late for that," Midnight stated. Clearly, she thought Flash had no hope of getting back up. 

Flash would agree with her, the Duellist now seconds away from completely fading. However, as he hung on the end of utter oblivion, a voice called out to him "What are you doing?" Flash knew that voice, one he had heard only a few times but knew better then anyone. Harmonica. "You cannot allow yourself to give up here. If you do, then everyone who had faith in you will be betrayed." After hearing this, Flash began hearing other voices echoing in his mind. 

"I'm not giving up!" Spike's voice yelled to the high heavens. 

"I won't let you take me down!" Sunburst cried. 

"Flash will win!" Rainbow's voice hollered. 

"Guys," he whispered.


 
"Neo Frozen Heart Dragon!" Cold yelled as his monster unleashed a burst of freezing cold air, hitting the opponent and making it suddenly freeze on the spot. Seconds later, it shattered and Cold was victorious. But as the opponent vanished, he fell to his knees. 

"COLD!" Sunset yelled in horror, "get up." 

"Raaah!" Cold pushed through his exhaustion and stood back up, "I won't let you beat me!" 

"Augh!" Rarity's voice cried out as her monster was destroyed, making her stagger back. 

"Rarity!" Applejack turned to her, "ya'h can't quit." 

"I know," Rarity forced herself to stand tall. "But if I don't draw a good card , I'll be out next turn." 

"Just hold on a little longer," Trail told him. "Flash will win." 

"Of course he will," Misty told them. "But if we're not willing to push ourselves to beat these impostors, how can we ask him to beat Zeronull." 

Sweetie groaned, "I'm just...so tired." 

"We all are!" Tempest explained as her monster slashed at the opponent, "but we have to fight through that exhaustion. And not just us. The whole world has to keep fighting!" The others nodded and pushed themselves back to full height, refusing to let Zeronull beat them.



In another part of the city, Timber was also getting exhausted. "You're not...beating me." His monster attacked and destroyed his opponent, but many more were making their way forward. 



Mac and the Flim-Flam Brothers were currently having difficulty. 

"This isn't good brother," Flim announced as they stared up at Exodius. "The opponent's only one card away from victory." 

"And we have no way of stopping them from getting that card," Flam agreed. 

Mac was facing off against his best monster, completely maxed out with multiple equip cards, while all he had was a single Mecha-Worker. "A'm not giving up yet," Mac told them. "A'm not letting these things hurt ma'h family. Are you?" The brothers shook their heads and kept on Dueling. 



"Ahhh!" Lightning moaned in annoyance, "just stay down already." Her Xyz monster flew around her as the opponent picked themselves up again. "This is getting old." She cracked her knuckles, "but I ain't quitting." 



Celestia and Luna found themselves standing side by side in front of many people, the lot of them having been cornered by the slimes and forced to continuously Duel. 

"This may be it sister," Luna told her. "We can't keep this up." 

"I know," Celestia smiled at her. "But as long as I'm with you, I won't stop trying until the bitter end." Luna smiled back as the sisters turned back to their opponents. 



In another part of the city, in the Sparkle home, Night Light and Twilight Velvet were also fighting against the slimes. 

Though since they weren't Duellists, they couldn't fight in the traditional sense. Instead, Night Light was swinging a garden rake around to make any opponent go splat while Velvet held tightly onto her granddaughter. "It's okay," she whispered to try and keep Flurry calm. "It's okay. We'll all be okay. Mommy and Daddy will be back soon."  

Despite the comfort, Flurry was still on the verge of tears. The fear she was feeling at the strange monsters, coupled with her parent's absence and the sudden disappearance of her aunt and godfather had her feeling vulnerable. 



And it wasn't just on earth. Those of the Duel Monster Spirit World were fighting too. 

Scarvolt screamed as she slashed at the Storm King repeatedly, her enemy unable to keep up with her fast movements. She then saw a slime slam down behind him and smirked, the Tempest Rogue rushing forward. "You want your perfect world so badly." She slashed at his staff and cut it in half, then spun around and thrust her foot into his chest. "Then have it!" 

"Raaah!" Storm King cried as he felt backwards, getting hit by the slime. "NO!" He yelled while fighting against it, but the slime spread across his body. He turned to Scarvolt, "you'll pay for this! Zeronull will make you fools all pay!" With that, the slime completed engulfed him before shrinking down into nothing. 

Scarvolt sighed, glad the one responsible for her partner's pain was finally gone. Her relief was short lived, however, as a slime suddenly slammed down onto her back and began to quick wrap around her body. "NO!" Luckily, Sombra was able to grab the slime and pull it off of her before throwing it away so it wouldn't start trying to assimilate him. "Thanks."

"Don't let your guard down!" Sombra told her while slashing away at more slimes before it could take his form.

"I know!" Scarvolt charged her sword and spun it around before thrusting it down into the ground, unleashing a shockwave of lightning. The shockwave struck the slimes, disintegrating them.

"FIRE!" Sunburst Magician and Dragonic Blazelord cried as they unleashed a burst of flames that roasted the slime monsters alive. Sunburst Magician then then raised his staff and created a fire dome around them, jumping up on Blazelord's shoulder before dropping the dome and allowing the dragon to spin around and slashing the monsters down. 

Battle Wing, Orchard Cowboy and Crystal Rarity continued fighting, but they were having trouble with the amount and beginning to feel themselves tire. Twilight Warlock and Moondancing Guardian Scholar, Saltalunam, were shooting magical blasts at the slimes. The Celestial Spirits and Magna Corp worked together, keeping the slimes from getting to close to any of their comrades. 

Even those that had once been part of the Zealot's army were fighting against it, Amphitrite and her Atlanteans fighting side by side with the Shinobi, Liberators, Balloonimal and Corona monsters they had previously fought against. "FOR MY DAUGHTER!" She unleashed several burst of water that struck the slimes and pushed them back, her legion following her example. 

Neo Frozen Heart Dragon unleashed a mighty burst of freezing air, which it sent flying out in all directions in a hope to push the slimes backwards. Many of them froze and shattered, but even more appeared in every direction and slowly began creeping in. 

"We're surrounded!" Scarvolt cried, the army feeling themselves getting backed into a corner. 

"Stay strong!" Grand Emperor yelled as many monster unleashed their ranged attacks at the slimes, "we must have faith in our friends on the other side." 

"He's right," Sombra raised his sword. "No matter what, keep pushing them back!"



The voices of everyone fighting against the evil rang in his ear, allowing him to almost see what was happening. 

"Do you hear them? The voices of everyone who believes in you. Who refuse to give up, because they know you will find a way to push on."

'But I'm...so tired. And every time I push passed what's possible and defeat the bad guy, someone worse keeps popping up.' 

"Have you forgotten your own words so quickly. You once said that no matter what, you'd never stop trying to protect this world. Not for yourself, but for the people you care about. Have you stopped caring?"

"N...no," he finally let out as he tried to start moving again. As he did, memories began to play on the forefront of his mind. The day her found his deck and met his friends for the first time. Duelling and growing close to them. Meeting Cold, Shining, Cadance, Sunset and so many others. Competing in the Celestic Cup and defeating Sombra and the Doom-Vaders. Meeting Tempest, Sunburst and forming team V-Fighters to compete in the Double X. 

And it wasn't just big events. Small events like playing with Scootaloo when they were little. Going to the carnival with the others and experiencing his first Duel Festival while eating Kuriboh Dumplings. Taking the rainy day challenge with Spike and Sunburst. Taking Flurry Heart to the park to give her parents a break. Or just spending time with Twilight. 

So many amazing memories, which had shaped his entire life and made him the man he was. How could he let Zeronull take those away? Make them appear like they never existed? 

It was then that he heard a voice he thought he would never get to hear again. "Please...get up." 

Flash's eyes slowly opened, the teen looking up and seeing a blurry image in front of him. That image being the ghostly form of his girlfriend. "Twi...light?" 

The image of Twilight looked down at him with worry in her eyes. "I know you've been asked to do the impossible more times then it's fair to, but please...do it one more time. Please get up...and fight." With that, the image faded and Flash was once again alone. But despite this, Flash felt new strength well up within him. Strength that allowed him to finally move his body

"What?" Midnight's smile vanished as she saw Flash begin to pick himself up and stand tall, his hair turning white as the mark on his hand glowed brighter. "No, stay down!" 

"Never!" Flash cried as he looked up at her, "not while I have so many believing in me." His deck began to glow the same colour. "No matter how many times I fall. As long as I have them behind me, I know I can stand up once again." He reached for his deck as the light from it and the mark combined and caused something new to appear on top of the deck. "I...DRAW!" Flash drew his glowing card with a mighty swing of his arm and didn't even look at it as the portal began to form above his head. "I PENDULUM SUMMON!"

The portal opened and a single light shot out of it, and struck the ground. It exploded, unleashing a brilliant light that blinded Midnight as the monster within the light materialised for what could be the very final time. "Shine your light of victory, brighter then it's ever shone before. Let it bring hope to all those that have none. My friend. Flash Heart Dragon...ALPHA!" (A2500/D2000/L7/P4) 

"It's pointless," Midnight told him. "That monster has no chance of defeating Zeronull." 

"Don't be so sure," Flash told her he raised his Duel Disk. "I activate the ability of Vail Pixie Alpha from the Extra Deck." He removed the card as the fairy appeared in front of him and flew up. "By sending her to the graveyard, I can increase or decrease the Pendulum Scale of one of my cards by a maximum of three."

Vail Pixie turned to Lunara and held out her hand, unleashing the power within her. Lunara glowed the same colour as the number below her increased to four. Vail Pixie turned to give Flash and smile and nodded before vanishing, Flash nodding back. 

"What's the point of that?" Midnight asked, "you can't Pendulum Summon again." 

"Maybe not," Flash smirked before holding up the card that he drew. "But now that their combined Pendulum Scale equals twelve, I can now have Flash Heart evolve into his ultimate form." 

"Ultimate form?" Midnight asked as a new light appeared between them. This one actually being three lights, which took the form of Feral Lindworm, Magna Strider and Reality Buster. "Now what?" 

"Now the power of Fusion, Synchro and Xyz will be lent to the Pendulum in order for it to attain its final state of existence." The Pendulum portal once again began to form, as the ghostly Extra Deck monsters morphed back into light which shot up into it and caused the portal to glow a rainbow of colours. "Now, by banishing Flash Heart with those three monsters in the graveyard, I can unleash the ultimate power of creation!" Flash Heart's jets ignited and the dragon leapt up, firing the boosters and shooting right up into the portal. And as it did, the portal unleashed a bright light. "GO, PENDULUM EVOLUTION!" 

The light exploded out in every direction, forming a shockwave that flew throughout the multiverse. 

It shot towards the earth and washed over it. And when it did, every single slime clone was vaporised the second the light touched them. Within seconds, the earth was completely slime free. "What happened?" Scootaloo asked her parents, who were just as baffled as her. 

Cold looked up at the Shadow Gate, where the light had originated from. "Flash." 



The light even flew through the Shadow Gate and struck the Duel Monster Spirit World. And just like on earth, the slimes there were destroyed upon contact with the light. 

"What?" Sombra asked as the slime in front of him vanished. 

"They're gone," Scarvolt whispered. They looked around and saw not a single slime in sight. Within seconds, the army cheered at their victory. 

"This isn't over yet," Sombra told them before looking back at the Shadow Gate. "This is just a brief reprieve. If Flash loses, the slimes could still return." Hearing that gave the monsters more incentive to cheer for the Alpha Zealot, as everything now rest on him. 



Midnight had been blinded by the light, while also feeling her creations being destroyed. "This changes nothing!" She cried as the light faded, allowing her to see Flash's new monster.

This creature looked like Flash Heart Dragon Alpha, but it was twice the size. It had spikes coming out of the sides of its shoulders and large golden metal C-shapes on the front of them. The spikes on its head were now golden and fingers ended in golden tipped claws. Its knees had spikes on them and it wore golden cuffs around its wrists and ankles, which had blades coming out of the sides that looked like one of the C-shapes cut in half. Its wings were made up of three lightning bolt-shaped blades, with the top one having the same vents in the top and bottom that its base form had. Its tail had two golden gears around the area near the rip, with a green orb after that and a long golden spike on the very end of it. And finally, its most noticeable feature was the large sword it was carrying. That sword had a golden blade with a round crossguard that had a green gem in it, along with another gem on the end of the handle. It swung the sword around, unleashing another bright flash of light. "Alpha Deity Dragon...FLASH HEART INCARNATE!" (A4500/D4000/L12) 

Midnight was utterly horrified by the image of the creature in front of her. Flash, meanwhile, simply smiled up at his ace's ultimate form. "Thank you, for the way you've guided me." Incarnate glanced down and Flash could tell it was smiling, as he looked back at his planet and remembered everyone there. "Thank you, for giving me a future." He then looked back at Midnight, as the image of the girl he loved overlapped with her. "And thank you, for risking your life...and fighting for someone like me." The image of Twilight vanished, replaced by Midnight as Flash glared at her. "And now it's my turn to fight for you." 

"In your dreams," Midnight growled as she watched Incarnate raise its sword and spread its wings. 

"This ends now!" Flash yelled as the green gems on his beast glowed, "skill of Alpha Deity Dragon. During the battle phase, it count as a Pendulum Monster." Incarnate's boosters ignited and caused it to shoot forward, "ATTACK!" 

Midnight frowned, wondering what he had up his sleeve. 'Just in case,' "I activate my Trap!" Her face down flipped up, but before it could activate-

"Solaris!" Flash yelled as his Pendulum Monster raised its staff and unleashed a burst of fire, which struck the Trap and caused it to return to its face down position. "Thanks to his Pendulum Ability, all Traps are unable to activate when a Pendulum Monster battles." 

"Ahh," Midnight yelled, "fine!" Another card flipped up, "then I'll use my Spell-"

"Lunara!" Flash cried as the other Magna Caster raised her staff, unleashing a blast of cold air that caused the card to flip back down and freeze over. "When a Pendulum Monster attacks, his Pendulum Ability makes all Spells useless."  

Midnight growled as Incarnate shot passed her and headed towards Zeronull, its sword raised above its head as it glowed. When it neared the portal, the dragon swung the blade and unleashed a wave of energy. It flew towards the Omega Deity of Destruction and struck the crystal on its chest, but neither it nor the Alpha Deity Dragon were destroyed. 

"You see," Midnight smiled. "Pointless. Nothing can harm Zeronull. Just end your turn and accept your fate." But then Flash did something that made her worry. He smirked. 

"Oh, I'll end my turn alright." Flash Heart Incarnate flew back to him, "but I refuse to accept any fate you decide for this world. Skill of Flash Heart Incarnate!" The dragon raised its sword as the central crystal glowed and unleashed a beam of energy out towards Zeronull. 

"What's happening?" Midnight asked as the beam struck the orb holding Granebris. The Zenith Dragon roared before it morphed back into a card that shot out of the orb and flew towards Midnight, the girl catching the card as Zeronull's power went down. (A5000/D5000/L12) Midnight turned back to Flash, rage in her eyes. "What have you DONE!" 

Flash chuckled. "By returning one of your banished cards back to your hand, Incarnate's ability activates!" The sword's blade began to rotate like the hand of a clock. "Now I can skip your next turn and go straight to my battle phase, while preventing any card effect from activating." The blade finished its rotation, reaching the point as Flash's Battle Phase once again began. 

"Wait," Midnight realised where this was going, "if you get another battle phase..." 

"It means I get another attack," Flash finished as Incarnate shot forward once again. 

"But if you attack and then end your turn..." Midnight's face became one of true horror as the evolved Flash Heart swung the sword again, unleashing another blade of light that flew into the portal and struck Zeronull but left it unharmed. 

"Incarnate's skill!" The dragon raised its sword again and unleashed another beam, hitting Mesmeridiem and transforming it back into a card that flew into Midnight's hand. (A4000/D4000/L12) And once again, the blade rotated and skipped Midnight's turn. "Attack!" 

"Stop it," Midnight whispered as Incarnate swung the blade again and struck Zeronull with another light blade. 

"Skill activated!" The process repeated, Perfignis being the one returned this time as Zeronull once again lost power. (A3000/D3000/L12) And once again, the Alpha Deity Dragon's sword rotated around the crossguard and skipped over Midnight's turn. "Attack!" 

"This can't be happening," Midnight whispered as Incarnate shot towards the portal again. "You can't defeat me." It unleashed another blade of light that struck Zeronull and did nothing. "You're just...a human." Incarnate's ability activated, Fabulaqua returning to her hand. (A2000/D2000/L12)

"I'm more then just one human," she turned back to Flash as the sword rotated. "The power to stop time didn't come from me or Harmonica. She only wielded it. The power came from everyone, on both worlds. Their drive and determination to survive, awakened a power beyond that of any god." Incarnate attacked again before using its skill, hitting Marventus and returning it to Midnight's hand. (A1000/D1000/L12) "No matter what evil like you thinks, good will always rise up against it. Even if it's only a single person, that one bit of light can shine brighter then any star. And that light will chase away the darkness you've created, as the people choose to defy you." 

"No," Midnight whispered as Incarnate attack again. It unleashed the light and struck Zeronull before unleashing the beam that struck Greaterra returning the beast that had once beaten Flash to Midnight's hand and making Zeronull utterly powerless. (A0/D0/L12)

Incarnate landed behind Flash as the teen took a deep breath, then focused back on Midnight. "I'm coming for you...Twilight." The dragon's jets exploded and sent it flying towards the portal, its eyes glowing with determination. "There's a new future waiting here for you. You just have to reach for it!" The Alpha Deity Dragon shot into the portal and headed straight for Zeronull, who tried to defend itself by unleashing blasts of light from the gems on its wings. 

But Incarnate either dodge of deflected the blasts with its sword, not even phased by them. And as it drew closer, the evolved Pendulum Monster pointed the tip of its sword towards Zeronull's gem.

"TWILIGHT!" Flash yelled as Flash Heart thrust the sword into Zeronull, the world appearing to freeze for a moment until a light suddenly exploded out that spot and blinded them all. That light consumed Zeronull and the outer good unleashed a scream of a wild animal before its dark silhouette suddenly vanished. 

"AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHH!" Midnight screamed as the light struck them as she clutched her head, all the while her life points dropped.
