Silver and his team arrived safely in Paris and checked in at the Le Grand Paris Hotel. As they were about to go out and explore the city a girl with blonde hair tied in a ponytail with blue eyes wearing a white top with black stripes and a yellow jacket approached them or more specifically Silver.
“ Shall we go somewhere more private Silver?” The girl asked which made Lyra mad.
“ Back off blondie, he is mine,” Lyra said as she pulled Silver away from her.
“ Blondie! Do you know who I am?” The girl asked.
“ Don’t know and don’t care,” Lyra said.
“ I’m Chloe Bourgeois and a peasant like you with the son of America’s second-richest person in the world. Ridiculous utterly ridiculous,” Chloe said with a hint of rage.
“ I’ll have you know he is my boyfriend and I suggest you get lost before my friend here decides to break loose on you,” Lyra said threateningly as Lightning looked ready to break Chloe’s bones.
“ My daddy is the mayor of this city. So unless you don,t want me to call him I suggest you hand Silver to me,” Chloe said while holding her finger over the speed dial button for her dad.
“ Go ahead call him we will just tell him you were harassing us. Now, are we done here because we have a duel to watch in half an hour,” Lightning said calling Chloe’s bluff. Chloe put her phone away and then stormed off. Silver and his friends left for the Paris stadium to watch the match that will determine their next opponents. As Silver was checking the directions a girl with blue hair tied in pigtails bumped into them looking like she was in quite a rush.
“ Are you ok miss?” Silver asked as he helped her up.
“ Sorry about that I’m about to be late for the duel,” The girl said.
“ Are you in it or just watching?” Lyra asked.
“ I’m the leader of the French Team. I’m Marinette by the way,” Marinette said.
“ Nice to meet you Marinette. I’m Silver and these are my Teammates Lyra, Lightning, and Ratchet,” Silver said while introducing his team.
“ Are you guys in the WRGP too?” Marinette asked.
“ Sure are we are the US Team, Team Silverwing,” Silver said.
“The US as in from New York?” Marinette asked.
“ We are from California actually but yes we are from the US,” Lyra said.
“ Well it’s been nice chatting with you but I must be going,” Marinette said before Silver stopped her.
“ Wait why don’t I give you a lift since we are going to the same place,” Silver said before getting his runner.
“ Thank you,” Marinette said before putting her helmet on. After getting behind Silver he gunned it and took off for Paris stadium.
Meanwhile, at Paris Stadium a boy with blonde hair and an Asian girl with black hair was waiting outside for someone.
“ How dare Marinette keep us waiting. Our match starts in ten minutes,” The Asian girl said.
“ Calm down Kagami you know how much of a scatterbrain Marinette can be,” The blonde boy said.
“ I know Adrian but this is very important. We might not ever get a chance like this again especially if some akumatized villains show up and ruin the tournament,” Kagami said.
“ Hang on is that a duel runner coming this way?” Andrian asked before the runner pulled a sideways stop in front of him and Kagami. The person behind the driver got off and removed her helmet which revealed the person Kagami and Adrian were waiting for.
“ We have been waiting for you Marinette,” Kagami said.
“ Am I late?” Marinette asked.
“ No, for once you’re right on time,” Adrian said.
“ That’s a relief. Guys meet Silver Chance. He is the leader of Team Silverwing,” Marinette said.
“ So you’re the one we will be facing in the next round,” Kagami said.
“ That depends on who wins the duel which despite a slight delay we will be watching,” Silver said.
“ What was the slight delay?” Marinette asked.
“ Some brat named Chloe tried to make a move on me and tried to use an empty threat on us,” Silver said.
“ Chloe Bourgeois?” Kagami asked.
“ Yep, you know her?” Silver asked.
“ Unfortunately we do and I can guess she threatened to get her father involved,” Kagami said.
“ She did. It’s like she fails to understand how the position of Mayor works. A Mayor’s job is to supervise and manage the resources of their city. They most certainly don’t have the time to indulge the whims of a spoiled brat,” Silver said.
“ Please stop speaking ill of Chloe. You don’t understand her at all,” Adrian said.
“ Want a bet. I’m the son of the second richest man in the world. People feared me because they assumed I was just like Chloe when I am nothing like her. I respect my father and his job title not to get him mixed up in my problems. I wasn’t given everything I have on a silver platter I worked for everything,” Silver said which shocked everyone.
“ Wow that was so deep,” Adrian said.
“ But enough about me you three have a match to compete in,” Silver said before his teammates arrived.
Let’s hope we meet in the next round,” Marinette said before she and her team left to set up their pit. Silver and his team took their seats in the stands ready to view the match.
“ What do you think the EU Team is like?” Lightning asked.
“ Hard to say since so far the only members we met are a pile of muscles and some British scientist lady,” Lyra said.
“ Well assuming Marinette and her team manage to beat the first two we may get to see their leader,” Silver said. As they were talking the Mc walked up on stage ready to get the match started.
“ Welcome to the third match of the WRGP Ladies and Gentlemen. As you know various duels are happening in many different countries and this is the last one for the third round. Whoever wins this match will be moving on to the semi-finals with the other seven teams that won their matches. So without further ado let’s introduce the teams for today’s match. First up from our beloved city of Paris and representing our very country is Team Miraculous which consists of Marinette Dopang-Cheng, Adrian Agreste, and Kagami Tsurugi,” The Mc said as Marinette and her friends entered the stadium. “ And representing the countries of Italy, Spain, and Croatia is the second set of EU Duelists. Team Dragonflame whose members are the representative of Italy Antonio Aldini, The representative of Spain Maria Garcia, and the Representative of Croatia Luka Wildwind.
“ What gives? I thought we would be seeing Team Demise in this duel?” Lightning said.
“ Must be more than one EU Team in this tournament,” Lyra said as Silver looked up the official bracket for the whole tournament instead of the one just for the A Block.
“ Your right it saids here Team Demise is in the B Block which is going on in another country right now,” Silver said.
“ And both teams have sent their first duelists to the starting line. First, up for Team Miraculous is Kagami and for team Dragonflame is Antonio,” The Mc shouted before both duelists took off. After what felt like a neck and neck race Kagami made the corner first thus granting her the first turn. After both duelists drew their opening hand the duel began.

“ The first move is mine and to start things off I activate the Spell Polymerization fusing the Elemental Hero Wildheart and ElementalHeroBurstinatrix in my hand. Both of Kagami’s monsters appeared in front of a fusion vortex and spun around.
“ Mighty heroine of fire and justice combine with the swordsman of the jungle and become a blade forged from lava! Fusion Summon! Appear! Level Seven! Elemental Hero Magma Blade! A woman with dark skin and cracks of lava in certain places and long jet black hair wearing a red and black kimono appeared before drawing her sword which was made of black metal.

“ When I summon Mistral while I control another Elemental Hero Monster I can draw two cards. Kagami drew her two cards and smiled at what she drew. “ I set one card Face-down and end my turn by activating the Continuous Spell Elemental Barrier. A barrier made of both fire and wind formed around Kagami’s field. I can only activate this spell while I control two or more Elemental Hero Monsters and as long as this card is in play I don’t take any damage from battles that involve my Elemental Hero Monsters.
“ My turn I draw,” Antonio said as he drew his sixth card. Despite the way, Kagami set her field, Antonio was not intimidated in the slightest. “ First off I Summon Ancient Gear Statue in attack mode. A small sculpture made of a scrap appeared on Antonio’s field.

“ Why would you say that? that pile of junk is too weak to make a difference,” Lightning said.
“ That Pile of Junk as you called it is just a stepping stone for summoning a much more dangerous monster this deck is known for,” Silver said.
“ You don’t mean?” Lyra asked sensing where Silver was going with this.
“ That’s right. Ancient Gear Golem. A card that not only inflicts piercing damage but during the Battle Phase the opponent cannot activate Spell or Trap Cards,” Silver said.
“ Next I activate the Spell Machine Duplication that allows me to Special Summon two more Statues from my Deck. Two more Ancient Gear Statues popped up on both sides of the first one.

When one is Tributed I can Special Summon Ancient Gear Golem ignoring the Summoning Conditions so I tribute all three to Special Summon three Ancient Gear Golems from my Hand. All three Statues glowed before disappearing and in their place stood three Ancient Gear Golems ready to smash Kagami’s Monsters.

Antonio banished one of his Statues and drew his two cards. “ Now to get rid of that pesky Barrier of yours I activate the Quick-Play Spell Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy it. Antonio was sure his plan would work until Kagami spotted the first Action card of the match and grabbed it then played it.
“ I activate the Action Spell Magical Firewall. This not only negates the activation of your Spell you also take 500 points of damage. Antonio was suddenly burned as his points went down.

“ You may have saved your Barrier but your monsters won’t be safe,” Antonio said.
“ Before the Battle begins I activate the Trap Invincible Hero now my monsters cannot be destroyed by battle this turn. Antonio looked upset that his plan failed.
“ Fine I end my turn go ahead and make whatever move you wish your monsters still won’t beat me,” Antonio said.
“ My turn I draw,” Kagami said as she drew her second card. Kagami looked displeased she had nothing to deal with Antonio’s Golems until she saw what she drew. “ First I activate the Spell Heroes Charity. this allows me to draw five cards but I must discard a Hero Monsters or my entire hand is discarded. Kagami drew five cards and was pleased she managed to draw the monster that would help her in this situation. “ I discard my Necroshade to keep my hand. Next, I will use Necroshade’s effect from my GY if he is in my GY I can Normal Summon a high-level Elemental Hero Monster without tributing any monsters so welcome to the game Elemental Hero Bladedge. Bladedge appeared on the field looking ready to slice up Antonio’s Gear Golems.

“ Your right he is not strong enough at least not yet. I activate the Equip Spell Edge Enhancer this not only gives my Bladedge an extra 600 attack points but any battle damage he inflicts becomes doubled. Bladedge’s blades became longer and much sharper.

“ Next I activate the Spell Fusion Recovery this allows me to add Polymerization and Elemental Hero Burstinatrix to my hand. After adding her cards back to her hand Kagami made her next move. '' Next, I use Polymerization to fuse the Mistral on my field with the Burstinitrix in my hand. Both monsters appeared in the fusion vortex before spinning.
“ Mighty heroine of the skies combine with the heroine of fire and justice to form an undying flame of justice and might! Fusion Summon! Take to the skies! Level nine! Elemental Hero Phoenix Whirlwind! A woman wearing a phoenix shaped mask with long orange hair wearing an orange skin-tight suit with matching feathers in certain places and wings of the same color.

“ When Phoenix Whirlwind is successfully Fusion Summoned she lowers your monsters attack points by 400 for every Elemental Hero monster I currently control so with three monsters on my field your three junkpiles each lose 1200 attack points. Phoenix Whirlwind unleashed a mighty gust of wind that caused all three Ancient Gear Golems to rust up as they got weaker.

“ Now that everything's in place, time to battle. Bladedge attack the Ancient Gear Golem in the center with Slice and Dice Attack. Bladedge charged at his target ready to slice them until Antonio reacted.
“ You won't beat me that easily. When one of my Machine-Type Monsters is attacked I can discard my Overclock Mech to double the targeted monster’s attack points during the damage step. Ancient Gear Golem began to power up.

“ You may not take any damage thanks to your Barrier but your Bladedge still bites the dust. Ancient Gear Golem managed to destroy Bladedge with a single punch.
“ I will admit that was a good move. If Bladedge had succeeded with his attack, you would have taken 2800 points of damage. But I still have two more attacks to hit you with. Phoenix whirlwind attacks the center Ancient Gear Golem with Wings Of Liberty. Phoenix Whirlwind flew at Ancient Gear Golem with wings made of iron and managed to slice it before making it explode.

“ Now Magma Blade will attack the Golem on the right with Flame Sabre Slash. Magma Blade took off and moved like a blur before appearing behind Ancient Gear Golem and sheathing her sword which caused Ancient Gear Golem to explode.

“ You may have survived this round but next turn you are finished so for now I end my turn,” Kagami said.
“ My turn I draw,” Antonio said as he drew his card. Antonio looked flustered after seeing how outmatched he was with two powerful monsters staring down his weakened Golem until he saw that he drew something that could give him a potential chance to turn things around. “ I activate the Spell Card Of Sanctity which allows both of us to draw until we each have six cards in our hand. Antonio drew six cards while Kagami drew four. Antonio looked pleased with what he drew. “ Next I activate the Spell Ancient Gear Inspection by returning an Ancient Gear monster on the field to my hand I can draw one more card so my Golem returns to my hand. As soon as Ancient Gear Golem left the field Antonio drew his card and looked pleased with it. “ Next I activate the Spell Mech Salvage which allows me to add a Level four or lower Machine-type monster from my GY to my hand so I will add one of my Statues to my hand not that it will be there for long because I’m also summoning it. Ancient Gear Statue reappeared on the field.

Elemental Barrier finally shattered leaving her vulnerable to damage. “ Unfortunately I can’t attack the turn I used this card so I will end my turn don’t think you won because on my next turn you're finished.
“ We shall see. My turn I draw,” Kagami said as she drew her seventh card. Kagami looked ready to end this and made her move. “ I’m afraid this is where we shall end this. Magma Blade attack Ancient Gear Golem. Magma Blade prepared to attack which confused Antonio.
“ Are you mad your monster is not strong enough to beat my Golem,” Antonio said in a flustered tone.
“ That does not matter. Magma Blade’s effect allows her to automatically destroy the monster she attacks without calculating damage then you take damage equal to half your destroyed monster's attack points. As soon as Ancient Gear Golem exploded the falling debris drained the rest of Antonio’s Life Points.

During the end of the Battle, Kagami discarded a card from her hand as per the rules saying no duelist can have no more than six cards in their hand. Antonio returned to his team’s pit and passed the baton to Maria who was waiting for him.
“ Sorry I could not beat her. That Magma Blade’s effect took me by surprise,” Antonio said.
“ It’s fine at least you managed to score a massive blow to Kagami’s Life Points now leave the rest to me,” Maria said before taking off.
