//------------------------------// // Chapter 1 // Story: Daughter of Rara // by Creativa-Artly01 //------------------------------// It’s a new day as Rara finally agrees to take Shining Star into the recording studio for the first time. There, they are greeted by Rara’s husband Spotlight and a pale green mare with a lime green mane and tail named Lime Light. “Hello,” says the mare bending down to be on Shining Star’s level, “what’s your name little one?” “Shining Star,” responds the filly. “And I wanna be a singer.” “Yeah, she takes after her momma,” responds Spotlight. “She sure does,” agrees Rara, “and I’m so proud of her too. Can we let her have a go at recording an album? She wrote some original songs on her guitar recently.” “Sure,” responds Lime Light. “Let’s get her in the booth.” Rara nods and Spotlight helps their daughter into the recording booth. Rara then hands the filly a guitar and she begins to sing. “This first one,” says Shining Star, “is one my mama taught. Enjoy as I perform for you, my rendition of “Equestria The Land I Love.”” She begins to sing. “Equestria, the Land I love. A land of harmony. Our flag does wave from high above for ponykind to see. Equestria a land of friends where ponykind do roam. Equestria my home.” She then transitions into her original songs. “This next song is titled “A Simple Country Life”. Please enjoy.” “I was born and raised, upon a country farm. Cows and hays for acres and miles, where animals freely roam. Waking up with the sun, going to bed as it sets. Oh the joy and happiness, no need for more quite yet. Naive, young, not full of it, a simple country girl. What can I say? That was my entire world. Baling hay, milking cows, bucking apples to my hearts content. Spending time with friends and family, what more could I ever want? Why would I ever ask for more? A country filly living her very best simple country life. What more could I ever want? This is the perfect life! What more could I ever want? This is the perfect life!” Shining Star goes on to sing another five songs before finishing off the album. Over the following days, it is reviewed over by her father, by Lime Light, and by her mother as well as by the owner of the studio. Three months later, it is cleaned up and released. It is titled A Simple Country Filly. Over the following weeks, it makes its way up the country music charts and soon sticks at number two before after another five weeks jumping to number one. Needless to say, the entire family is thrilled. Rara and Spotlight are so proud of their little girl. She’s on her way to being a country star.
