Stopping The Colt

Left Speechless

Rose who now knew of what had happened to Bellamena and her aunt, was aware that her parents didn’t know the real reason behind Bellamena’s death, they just knew that she had died. The ivory mare realized she should tell them what Sparkler had told her. Her mother, Red Velvet, works at Sugarcube Corner, often found running errands for the Cakes or behind the register when Pinkie is with her friends. Her father sometimes helps with Cloudsdale’s weather patrol, often contributing if one of the pegasi are on vacation or if there’s a shortage of pegasi.

Her mother was on her way back home, not many customers had entered and the Cakes decided to close a little earlier than normal, she still worked hard despite the few patrons. She had arrived and opened the door and found Rose, standing speechless.

“Rose, is everything okay?” She asked with genuine concern in her tone, she then waved a hoof in front of her daughter to get her attention.

“M-mom I need to have a talk with you.” Rose said after she has snapped out of her trance.

“What are you talking about?” Her mother asked with confusion. The ivory mare took a deep breath, before responding.

“It’s a long story, mom.” She replied.

“This sounds serious.” Her mother said. Then, her father, Frostblaze came downstairs.

“Hi honey, how was work?” He asked.

“I’m home early, dear.” She replied.

“Rose was about to tell me why she was so shocked when I came home. She had a very serious tone in her voice, it must be bad news.” She said.

“How can it be bad news?” Her father asked, looking at her.

“Hardy told me how Bellamena had died." She replied as her father's smile faded and sighed.

The ivory mare cleared her throat and took a deep breath. “This is what Hardy told me about Bellamena’s death.” Rose began, she told them was her cousin had told her. Once she had finished telling what had happened, her parents were at a loss for words.

Her mother gasped and put a hoof over her mouth in shock.

“He saw that?” Her father asked in shock. Their daughter nodded yes. Her mother’s eyes had welled up with tears, as she said.

“M-my older twin and an innocent filly were killed by my in-law.” Her husband just stood there in shock.

“Honey, I-I’m so sorry for your loss. Our nephew had tried to free Bellamena, but he was unable to.” He said.
