//------------------------------// // Brandished Fog // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Somewhere near the Everfree Forest. A Chikorita, following its mother Meganium had wandered into the mystical forest, searching for a new place to call home. They had recently come from a brand new area created in Equestria when the two worlds crossed over, but they are no longer capable of living there due to how the Ice-Types have changed the wether. "Chiko!" "Ganium." The mother Meganium kept her daughter close to her. They noticed that the further they reached Everfree, the worse the weather conditions became. Snow started pouring down aggressively as if it was heavy rain. The trees and ground had soon been engulfed by massive sheets of snow. It was a shame really. All of Equestria, well most of it anyway, had been greatly affected by the presence of Pokemon in general. But that's to be expected since this world wasn't built for Pokemon in the first place. But slowly but surely as time goes on, Equestria and other parts of this world will eventually adjust itself to fit the structure of Pokemon. Especially since it's not just Ice-Types changing the world as they go. A thick fog had emerged from the weather, engulfing most of Everfree in a matter of seconds. The featureless ashen haze had made both Pokemon struggle in terms of eyesight. Not only that, but this fog seemed to have an odd mystical presence behind it. "Megan?" Meganium could feel that her body was slowly being drifted away from Chikorita. As if she had no control whatsoever. "Meganium!" "Chikori!" Chikorta being the lightweight Pokemon that she is had been dragged away at a much faster pace than Meganium. The Leaf Pokemon tried rushing to her mother, but it was too late. The fog had thickened enough to a point where it was practically impossible to see anyone else. Even the trees were invisible to her eyes. The mother and daughter had been separated, lost somewhere in Everfree. Wherever they may be, both will end up in their own scenarios. Pokemon House. "It's a bit foggy today, isn't it?" Goh squinted his eyes, barely being able to see most of Ponyville anymore. Not only that, but constant bumps into other Pokemon were frequent. Some of them blend well with the fog surprisingly. "Are you still there, Fluttershy?" Ash called out. "Pikachu?" "Still here." Fluttershy's voice travelled through the fog. Her Audino had found them thanks to her superb hearing. "Could it be the move Haze?" "Audino." "Whatever it is...it's really messing with my tracking here." Ash sighed. "Pika." That wasn't all. Many other Pokemon were having trouble navigating themselves around the Pokemon House. They were constantly falling into the lake with the Water-Types, poking themselves on Ferroseed's thorns on accident, ending up near Loudred and having their eardrums busted, it was just a mess. The fog had reached a point where it would eventually affect the Pokemon House as well since it is the most populated area in Ponyville thanks to all the Pokemon that dwell there. "Ratta?" A Rattata noticed that he was being carried away by the fog along with his brothers and sisters. "Tatta!" "Hm? What's wrong Rattata?" Fluttershy turned to the single Rattata, soon spotting that each of them were being dragged away. But of course, it wasn't just them. Many other Pokemon were being pulled away, including a Bunnelby, Volbeat, Salandit, Numel and much more unfortunate Pokemon who were powerless to move. "Audino?" "Oh, dear. What's going on?!" Fluttershy gasped. "The fog's taking them somewhere!" Ash recognized an odd phenomenon such as this. "Dragonite! Come out!" He sent out his Dragonite to handle this. "Dra!" "Dragonite, grab the others, quick!" Ash commanded, knowing that things could get ugly if they weren't rescued in time. The Dragon Pokemon made haste, grabbing the smaller Pokemon in its huge hands, flying high into the air. Whilst it was fairly dangerous for a Dragonite to be out in a weather like this, the Dragon Pokemon was willing to take any risk in order to protect others. Similar to its trainer. The Pokemon Dragonite could grab had thankfully been saved and placed near Audino so that she could hear them if they ever get dragged off again, but some others were still missing. The fog had unfortunately gotten them. "Dragon!" "Dragonite says that some of the Pokemon were still taken by the fog!" Fluttershy translated. "Figured so. Do you have a clue on which direction the fog could've taken them?" Ash asked his Pokemon. "Dra." Dragonite pointed its claws at the one area it believed the fog could've moved at and originated at. The Everfree Forest. "Alright. Thanks, Dragonite. Return." Ash returned Dragonite to its ball to protect it from the cold. "The Everfree Forest? Isn't that place bad territory from what I hear?" said Goh. "Right. Not many ponies head in there because of what goes in that forest. But if they were dragged in there, then that must mean the fog's coming all the way from the forest." "So...we have to head in there?" Goh gulped along with his Sobble. "Looks like it. No need to worry, Goh. We'll make this quick and easy." Ash placed his hand on Goh's shoulder. Even Fluttershy was confident enough to head through Everfree due to her past experiences in it. At Everfree, the Chikorita from before was currently searching for her mother in this distressing haze. "Chiko!" The Leaf Pokemon cried out continuously, trying to find any sign of Meganium. She was clueless as to where she was in Everfree. And unfortunately, she would eventually come across the many threats of the forest. The first being rampant roots that seemed to attack anypony that even come near them. These roots were leftovers from the seeds that Discord planted long ago. Seems like a tiny bit of them still managed to grow thanks to the influence of some cosmic energy that had yet to leave the seeds. The roots sprouted up vicious vines, spotting Chikorita passing by. The Grass-Type was completely unaware of the horrors Everfree possessed. However, she was about to find out personally. The vines whipped themselves forward, just missing Chikorita. The impact of the vines caused Chikorita to jump. "Chiko!" Chikorita gasped, backing away from the vines. With ferocity and ruthlessness, every single vine around this area focused all their attention on the Leaf Pokemon, prepared to tear her to shreds. Chikorita made a run for it, attempting to escape from the vicious roots. Each time she managed to avoid them, she noticed that some trees were destroyed whenever the vines whipped them. If any of them connect, the result will be devastating for the Starter Pokemon. At first, she attempted to fight back by using Razor Leaf. Unfortunately, the vines obliterated the leaves with their sharp and thorny texture. So attacking back seemed to be useless. Without warning, a secret hidden vine popped up from the ground, wrapping around Chikorita's leg. The roots finally had her in their grasp. "Rita?! Chikoo!!" Chikorita struggled to break free, pulling her leg with all her might. The vines closed in, wrapping around her head. The sharp thorns around the vines poked into the Leaf Pokemon's skin, injuring her in the process, causing Chikorita to wince in pain. It seemed hopeless for the little Pokemon until her saving grace came in the form of a fellow Pokemon. "Hyper Beam!" Fluttershy's voice could be heard from the distance. All of a sudden, a beam of hyper energy tore through the fog itself, obliterating the roots and vines around the area into nothing but dust. "Audino!" Audino continued to blow away the vines by firing consecutive Hyper Beams, carefully making sure that she didn't hit Chikorita in the process. The Leaf Pokemon had been saved by the two of them, thankfully. But the injury was still there. "Are you okay?" Fluttershy fluttered over to Chikorita, helping her up from the ground. She could see that Chikorita had holes sticking out of her due to the thorns grabbing her a few seconds. "Oh, my. Audi. Heal Pulse." "Audino...." Audino walked over, doing what she does best by sending a pulse of healing energy throughout the little Pokemon's body. The wounds from the thorns had closed off due to this, rejuvenating Chikorita. "Chi?" "There we go. It was a good thing we ended up running into you. Although, I've lost track of the others." "Chikorita..." The little Chikorita looked up at Fluttershy, thanking her for coming to her rescue and saving her life. "It's no problem. Did you end up getting lost in Everfree?" "Chiko! Chikorita!" She ended up explaining the situation to her and what really happened. How her mother and she were attempting to find a new grassy area to live in, leaving their previous home. However, the fog had separated them from each other, leading to Chikorita searching for her mother. "Is that so? Then, where was the last place you saw your mother?" "Rita." Chikorita lowered her head, saying that she only saw her getting dragged away. The fog was too thick to really tell where they were. "Poor little Chikorita. No need to worry." Fluttershy gave her a head pat. "We'll help you find your mother. Right, Audi?" "Audi-" The Hearing Pokemon's words were cut off when the roots grew back once more, wrapping around Audino's arms and feelers. "Audino?!" "Audi?!" Fluttershy gasped as she noticed the roots and vines had returned, racing up from beneath. They were currently in an area where these roots were the most prominent, so it wasn't a surprise that they would grow back eventually. "Not good! Use Hyper Beam!" "Dino...Audino...!" Audino attempted to unleash a Hyper Beam, but it was proving to be impossible due to the vines restraining her arms and even her neck. Very soon, the vines crept up on Fluttershy, grabbing a hold of her wings and hooves. They were difficult to see since they emerged from the thick fog, disguising themselves and striking at the right moment. Fluttershy felt the sharp thorns dig into her hooves, causing her to wince in pain. And unfortunately, she didn't have the strength capable of breaking free. "Chiko!" Chikorita had tried assisting by using Razor Leaf, but like before, they were essentially useless. Even when trying to cut the vines in half, the leaves were just torn apart. "If I can just..." Fluttershy looked over at her Mega Ring that laid on her hoof. If she could at least reach it and activate it, then Audino might be able to break free due to the burst of energy that comes along with Mega Evolution. However, the vines were constricting her even further, tightening the trainer and Pokemon to a point where struggling would just make it worse. Similar to Grapploct's Octolock. Chikorita had been caught by the vines as well, unfortunately. They had grown much more elusive rather than making themselves obvious. Audino had eventually passed out due to the vines wrapping around her neck. Now it was just Fluttershy and Chikorita who were both conscious at the moment. Fluttershy knew this could be the end of them if they didn't do anything else. But Audino was out cold and Fluttershy couldn't move her wings or hooves at all. Chikorita's moves were essentially pointless since Razor Leaf would just be torn apart if they even made contact with the vines. Soon, the vines wrapped around her mouth, causing her to muffle underneath the black thorned vines. Although, one thing that Fluttershy didn't take into account was the presence of Zecora. She had Pokemon that could help others if they ended up getting caught in any of the forest's actions. Zecora's Ninjask had come to their rescue, using the move Metal Claw to cut the vines in half. "Nin!" The Ninja Pokemon moved at its usual blinding speeds, managing to avoid the attacking vines with ease. Each time it moved, it cut the vines into tiny little pieces with Metal Claw, freeing the three of them from its clutches. "Ninjask!" "N-Ninjask?" Fluttershy looked up at the Ninja Pokemon, recognizing it as Zecora's. "Thank goodness..." She held her mouth, realizing that some of the thorns from the vines had managed to injure it. "Ow..." Not only that but her hooves had suffered horrible damage from the thorns, making it difficult for her to move without feeling a sharp pain strike them. "Jask." Ninjask had told them that it would lead the three of them to Zecora's hut where they can rest up and be safe from this part of the forest. However, carrying a Pokemon like Audino would be tough for the Ninja Pokemon considering the height and weight difference. "I've got it." Fluttershy went up to Audino, using all of her remaining strength to pick up her partner. It was a challenge since her hooves were damaged, meaning that the weight of something on her back would be a horrible idea. But yet, she persisted. Even if it caused her to strain and wince. "NInjask. Have you seen a Meganium?" "Nin." Ninjask shook its head. It hadn't seen one in sight at all, unfortunately. "Oh. Okay. Don't worry, Chikorita. I'll still find your mother for you." Fluttershy winced, almost losing her balance. Ninjask got a move on, allowing them to follow it to safety. Along the way, the Ninja Pokemon destroyed any rampant roots and vines that would try and attack. It was a good thing Ninjask was absurdly fast and had lightning-fast reaction time. As for Ash and Goh, they had managed to find some of the missing Pokemon who had been dragged off by the fog. They guided the missing Pokemon back to Ponyville, leading them to safety. However, there was one thought lingering in their mind. "Fluttershy's still nowhere to be found," Goh said. "We won't find her through this thick fog. There's only one place we can go to." Ash raised his finger up. "Where?" "Zecora's Hut. She'll be able to help." "Pikachu!" Over at Zecora's hut, Ninjask had led them here, allowing them to take a huge breather after the vine attack. "Nin!" "Excellent job, Ninjask. Quickly, bring me that flask." Zecora said to it. The Ninja Pokemon zipped over to the table, grabbing a wooden flask. Zecora took the flask from her Pokemon's bug hands, walking directly towards Audino. Zecora had made the unconscious Hearing Pokemon get a good drink out of the mixed liquid inside the flask. It was effective since it was made to regain consciousness. "Au...Audino?" The Hearing Pokemon's eyes opened. "Audi! You're okay!" Fluttershy gave her partner a huge hug, glad that she was up again. "Not yet, I'm afraid. The thorns from those vines held cosmic energy, meaning that the injury from them can stay for an abnormal amount of time due to its unusual blades. Many Pokemon have been caught by these thorns, having their injuries last for weeks on end. There is no telling how long your Audino's condition can extend." "Audino..." Audino could feel herself feeling extremely weak. She tried healing herself with Heal Pulse, but it was no use. The thorns had an unusual effect where they made your power diminish, especially if you've already been hurt greatly by them. So at the moment, she couldn't heal herself, Fluttershy or Chikorita. The Hearing Pokemon held her neck, feeling the injuries really dig deep in her. A sharp pain shocked her neck, causing her to wince in pain. "Au!" "We could head to the Pokemon Center and heal you. But first, I want to continue helping Chikorita find her mother." "Chiko?" "If she's out there somewhere in Everfree, then she could be in great danger. I can't sit around and do nothing. Even in my condition." "You won't have to do it alone. Along they come, Ash and Goh." Zecora saw the two trainers entering the hut in a hurry. "Oh, Fluttershy! There you are!" Ash exclaimed. "Pikachu!" "Thank goodness...Had us worried there." Goh let out a sigh of relief. "I'm fine. Well.. mostly. Audi and I aren't, unfortunately. We've been injured by the vines here in the Everfree..." "Hm? Did this Chikorita get hurt too?" Ash noticed the Chikorita sitting next to Fluttershy with wounds in her legs. "Mhm. Chikorita's searching for her mother Meganium. I want to help find her no matter what it takes." "In your condition? Even your Audino's hurt." Goh pointed out. "I know. But still..." "That's the spirit, Fluttershy. We'll help you find Chikorita's mom." Ash walked up to her. "Pika-Pika!" "I should've seen that coming." Goh lowered his head. "I shall come along and assist you. Only I know how these vines and roots act. By constant pursuit." "Alright. Don't you think it's best that Chikorita stays behind here?" Ash asked. "Chiko." Chikorita shook her head, denying to be left behind. "Guess not. Alright. Let's get a move on!" "Pikachu!" Meganium's whereabouts at the moment where near the swamp of Everfree. Her sense of direction was completely lost at the moment. She called out for her daughter, but no response. Strangely enough, earlier, both of them were calling each others' names out, but the fog had cut their voices off at that point. In fact, the fog was so thick that no even Audin could hear through it. "Megan..." The Herb Pokemon had put a stop to her walking, taking a breather. She wished that she could just find a new area to live in already with her daughter. The dream-land that she envisions is a wide flat grassy plain where the sun is constantly beaming down from above. A place like that would be perfect for them to live in. But, this was no time to daydream. Along came some Timberwolves who had sniffed out the Herb Pokemon due to Meganium constantly letting out a becalming scent from its petals that are usually meant to bunt the foe's fighting spirit. She turned around to see the Timberwolves snarling directly at her. She was unfortunately their prey. The wolves charged at the Herb Pokemon, ready to absolutely tear her apart. "Ganium!" The Herb Pokemon responded by using its aroma that emanated from its petals to calm them down. Before they knew it, the Timberwolves were no longer hostile at all. They had ceased their attack, feeling at ease at moment. "Meganium." Meganium continued her walk now that she's dealt with that small problem. Her daughter had to be close. The fear of her being devoured by the Timberwolves was lurking inside the Herb Pokemon's head. She hoped that she was fine. The fog grew thicker and thicker, gaining the ability to now move the trees and plants themselves. And that could only mean one thing. The roots had advanced from their usual area, gaining access to even more areas in Everfree. The roots crept up on Meganium, slowly moving underneath the earth itself. The Herb Pokemon was completely unaware of the lurking threat. Meganium came across a familiar-looking area. It looked to be the area where she and Chikorita were separated. That must mean she might be on the right track, hopefully. "Meganium! Ganium!" Since she recognized this spot, she called Chikorita's name once more, hoping to get a response this time. But the only response she earned was the sudden eruption of the roots. "Ganium?" She responded to the rupturing sound, noticing that black vines had risen up, rushing towards the Herb Pokemon. Before she could react and defend herself, the high-speed vine had wrapped around her petals and neck. "Gan! Megani!" Now she had become a victim of the vines. The roots continued to grow around Meganium, wrapping around her legs and tail. The Herb Pokemon attempted to break free by using Poison Powder on the vines, which actually worked. The vines had been melted away by the poison Meganium let out from her petals, giving her a moment of freedom. Keyword being a moment. The ferocity of the vines continued to grow as they immediately rose back up from the ground, trapping Meganium once more. This time, they pinned her down, slamming her body onto the ground. "Meganium!" The Herb Pokemon cried out in pain as her body hit the hard cold ground. She attempted another Poison Powder, however, this time, the vines actually whipped her, causing her to lose focus. The sharp thorns pierced her body with each swing, causing the pain to build up over time. "MEGA!" Meganium's voice had increased in volume, reaching high enough to a point where Ash and the others could hear it. "Did you hear that...?" Ash and the others stopped walking, picking up on the voice. Audino could hear the echo, finally being able to hear through the thick fog. "That sounded like a Meganium cry," Goh replied. "Audino!" Audino finally found the source of the cry, running towards it. However, due to her injuries, running wasn't a good idea at the moment. And yet she kept on running towards the location of the noise her feelers picked up. The group noticed that the fog actually got thicker in that specific area. Meaning that this might be where the fog began. "This area has the most amount of fog here! Quickly! The Meganium must be near!" Zecora exclaimed. "We'll blow away this fog! Dragonite! Hurricane!" Ash sent out his Dragonite just to deal the heaviest fog they've found yet. "DRA!" The Dragon Pokemon spun its body around, kicking up a mighty hurricane that blew away the maddening gray haze. However, it was still so thick that not even a Hurricane could get rid of it completely. Thankfully, it was enough to reveal Meganium to them all. There she was. Getting brutally hit by the vines whilst trying her very best to break free. "Chikorita!" Chikorita cried out for her mother, rushing towards her to aid. "Wait, Chikorita! Don't get too close!" Fluttershy flew forward, grabbing the Leaf Pokemon. It was a good call since she was almost hit by the sharp vines and their whipping motions. "I've never seen the vines act so aggressively..." Zecora gasped. "If we are to rescue her, we shall have to avoid and battle the vines carefully." Zecora had then spoken to her Ninjask through telepathic connection, commanding the Ninja Pokemon to attack the vines with Metal Claw. "I hear ya! Dragonite! Dragon Claw! Pikachu! Iron Tail!" "Raboot! Ember!" Ash and Goh chimed in, having their Pokemon fight back against the monstrous vines. Pikachu and Dragonite cut the vines in half whilst Raboot burnt them away with a blazing ember. The vines had realized that Ash, Zecora and Goh were a threat. So they were next. The vines had gained enough power to shake the ground itself, causing them to lose their balance. "What now?! Ash got on one knee. "Pika?!" "L-Look!" Goh fell on his back, noticing something that was unusual to him, but familiar to Ash and Zecora. A familiar face in the form of the Tree Behemoth had revealed itself. The previous and first behemoth that had been created when Cold Colt and Emerald Aura were still playing the role of villains. Since the cosmic energy they planted in the seeds never left, the behemoth had been regenerating over time. At the moment, it wasn't as huge as it used to be when it was first created, but it was at least larger than Zecora's hut. "This thing again?! How come?!" Ash got back up, gazing the Tree Behemoth. "It has been possibly regenerating as time goes on! Very soon it may return to its original form!" "Then we'll stop it before that happens! Pikachu! Thunderbolt! Dragonite, Hyper Beam!" "Pika!!" Pikachu sent a bolt of 100,000 volts to the 10ft monster, shocking it in the process. Dragonite had blown a massive hole through its chest area thanks to Hyper Beam, whilst Zecora's Ninjask cut pieces of its branches off with Metal Claw. The behemoth roared, responding with an enraged swing of its abnormally long arms. When it swung, the sharp black vines swung along with it as well. Dragonite and Pikachu had been knocked back by the vines, taking a considerable amount of damage from that. Even though the behemoth wasn't at full strength, it was still powerful enough to deal some heavy damage. Ninjask moved around the Behemoth, using Metal Claw and X-Scissor whilst zipping around at ludicrous speeds. It proved to be effective since the behemoth couldn't keep up with a Pokemon as speedy as Ninjask. However, it had a response for the Ninja Pokemon. The behemoth erupted sharp branches from its body, acting like a pincushion of some sorts. The eruption was instant, even causing Ninjask to be thrown off guard. The thorns had struck Ninjask's wings, piercing straight through them. The Ninja Pokemon fell on the ground, badly injured from that hit. "Nin!" Zecora gasped, running over to her Pokemon. Ninjask had done its best, so it deserved a long rest. "Return, Ninjask. You did well to take on a creature this large." She returned the Ninja Pokemon to its Pokeball as she brought out a second one. "Now come out Zebstrika, and use Flame Charge!" "Zebstrika!" Her ace Pokemon came out, immediately galloping forward once he exited the ball. Flames surrounded the Thunderbolt Pokemon as he charged into the behemoth, leaving behind a burn. Raboot jumped on Zebstrika's head, using Ember up close on the behemoth's face. "Chiko!" Chikorita ran to her mother, seeing how injured she was from the vines. "Chikorita!" "Meganium..." Meganium was relieved to see her daughter alright and in one piece. That was all that mattered to her. "I'm so glad that you two are reunited." Fluttershy flew over. "But I suppose now isn't the best time to have a reunion." She looked over to see the current scuffle with the behemoth going on behind them. "Rita! Chiko!" Chikorita explained that Fluttershy was the one who rescued her earlier and decided to help find Meganium in the first place, bringing her friends along as well. "Ganium." The Herb Pokemon stood up, grateful to Fluttershy for taking such an action. She shook her head, getting the thorns out of her petals with Poison Powder. Meganium realized that this was her time to help out. The Herb Pokemon would assist by using the move Petal Blizzard, sending an aggressive wave of petals towards the Tree Behemoth. The behemoth let out a roar, turning its attention towards Meganium next. The body of this creature had been greatly damaged due to it being shocked, burnt, blasted with energy and cut with steel. It realized that it might end up losing so it was time to just let everything out in one go. It did so by raising its long arms up, sending up multiple vines into the sky. Out of these vines came a barrage of thorns, hundreds of them even. These thorns rained down from above, piercing through the ground even. "Dra!" Dragonite flew over Ash and the others, protecting them from the thorns. The sharp prickly thorns rained down on the Dragon Pokemon's back, bombarding it aggressively. But it didn't end there. The vines that were sent up in the first place had also come raining down, having their whip motion alongside them. "Gonite!" "Not good...Come out and help, Gengar!" Ash sent out his Gengar for assistance. "Gen!" "Phase through and use Psychic!" "Gengar!" The Shadow Pokemon used its ghostly traits to its advantage, phasing right through the thorns and vines. It then held the behemoth in place with its mind via Psychic. Now all movements had come to a halt. "Now's our chance to finish it!" Ash exclaimed as Dragonite flew back, charging up one final Hyper Beam. Meganium had joined in, charging up a Solar Beam in the process whilst Raboot kicked up a pebble to perform ember. Zebstrika had shrouded himself in electricity, preparing to use Wild Charge. Audino found a little bit of strength left in her body. But it wasn't much. She could only perform a mini-Hyper Beam, unfortunately. But any help is better than no help. At the same time, all Pokemon unleashed their attacks on the behemoth, overwhelming it with their combined might. Audino's Hyper Beam combined with Dragonite's to create slightly bigger beam, Pikachu's Thunderbolt and Raboot's Ember circled around the double Hyper Beam, Meganium's Solar Beam crossed streams with Hyper Beam, Chikorita chimed in with Razor Leaf whilst Zebstrika charged forward, smashing into the behemoth. All ranged attacks hit their mark after Zebstrika was done. The overwhelming force of the attacks was so potent that it actually managed to not only defeat the behemoth but even destroy its body and blow away the entire fog from this area in one go. The behemoth had been obliterated into tiny little pieces, leaving only an echoing roar behind. That was that. "Phew. Finally." Ash sat down, letting out a sigh of relief. "What an exhausting moment, I must say." Zecora chuckled. "Do you experience scenarios such as this every day?" "You don't know the half of it." Ash laughed back. "Meganium!" Meganium and Chikorita finally had enough time to have a proper reunion. They both gave each other a head nuzzle, glad the other was fine and safe. "It's a relief that it all turned out well in the end," Fluttershy said. "I'm glad that we found your mother, Chikorita." "Chiko!" Chikorita ran over to Fluttershy, hopping in her hooves as a sign of gratitude. Meganium had decided to calm everyone's sense down by using Aromatherapy. They needed it after that sudden aggressive event after all. Meganium had decided that it was time to leave. Her pursuit for a better land with her child continued on after all. But she didn't leave before saying goodbye to the ones who found her daughter and save both their lives. "Ganium." "You're welcome, Meganium. Glad to be of help." Fluttershy replied. "I hope that you two find a perfect home somewhere in Equestria." "Meganium." The Herb Pokemon nodded. However, Chikorita had a different emotion from her mother's. The Leaf Pokemon turned to her mother, speaking to her. "Chiko! Chikorita!" "Meganium?!" Meganium had suddenly pulled back. "Chi!" "What are they talking about?" Goh asked Fluttershy. "She says that...she won't be coming along?" Fluttershy gasped. "But why?" "Chikorita!" Chikorita explained why to her mother, hoping that she would understand. The Herb Pokemon looked the Leaf Pokemon in the eyes, seeing how she really cared for Fluttershy and found a great liking towards her. She could feel a calm and beautiful presence when with her, almost as if she was a second mother. Meganium had nodded her head in understanding. Fluttershy had understood what they said, being taken aback by this. "Rita!" Chikorita ran up to Fluttershy, looking up at the pegasus with a wide smile. "Chikorita...Are you sure?" Fluttershy asked. "Chiko!" She nodded. "So...is she staying or not?" Goh scratched his head. "I think it's more than that. Chikorita wants to stay with Fluttershy." Ash explained. "Pikachu!" "If you really want that...then sure! You're welcome to stay with me, Chikorita!" Fluttershy had accepted the Pokemon as her own. "Chiko? Chikorita!" The Leaf Pokemon was pleased to hear the response, running around with excitement. Meganium let out a smile, glad that her daughter found a trainer that she can rely on. "Meganium." The Herb Pokemon asked Fluttershy if she would take good care of her daughter for her. "I promise I will, Meganium. You can count on me. And my friends. And maybe, we might end up coming to visit you if you ever find a perfect spot!" "Audino!" Audino had picked up Chikorita, glad that she had a second member to be with her on Fluttershy's team. "Ganium." She nodded in response, finally taking her leave. Her daughter was in good hooves now. All that was left to do now was wave back to the Herb Pokemon, seeing her walk off into the now clear sunset. A somewhat exhausting day that took an unexpected turn and the return of an old threat. But either way, the result turned out to be good in the end. With the inclusion of Chikorita to the group, a new friend had been added to mix, one that has grown a great fondness and liking to Fluttershy and will most likely continue to grow fond of her for days to come as the journey continues! Chapter 203 End!
