Sports was the next lesson. “Hey, Jay!” Called Carlos. “I’m ready for Tourney!”
Unfortunately, Carlos didn’t do as well as he thought. As for Jay, he got into the team.
Carlos and Ben were practising. A yellow-orange dog bounded up to Carlos, chasing him. Carlos screamed and ran straight into the forest. Ben glanced at Flash and Sunset before racing off to find him.
Carlos was up a tree, clinging on for dear life. “That Dog, my mom said that - that they are rabid pack animals!”
Ben smirked. “Oh, dude.” Turning to Carlos, he said, “C’me on. Have you ever even met a dog? Dude, this is Carlos. Carlos, this is the campus mutt, Dude.”
Ben passed the overexcited dog to Carlos. “Aww,” said Carlos. “He isn’t that bad.”
“Sure.” said Ben. “You can find your way back? I’m meeting Sunset and Flash and Applejack for a game of Tennis. See ya!”
Dude nuzzled against Carlos. Carlos gently stroked the dog.
“I love you Dude.”
