//------------------------------// // Luna's Past // Story: BBLO (Blackout) // by Norwegian boy //------------------------------// Blaze and Opal was walking through the halls in Beacon to their room, Blaze keep looking at Opal who look like she was going to puke, or something in the area. Then Blaze placed a hand on her shoulder that made her jump into the air. “Hey, are ok? You look a little green.” Opal took few breath to calm herself down. “I want to say yes but then I would be lying, and I know you don’t like it when others lie.” Blaze was little offended by what she said. “I don’t mind when other lies when they have a good reason, I’m just not big fan of lying in general. It’s just, I saw your reaction when Weiss mention the war with the White Fang, just tell me you weren’t involved in that.” Opal put up her hands in defence. “No, no, that happened way before I joined them, I left because I almost got my father killed.” Opal but both hands over her mouth when she said that while Blaze’s widen. “I wasn’t supposed to say that.” “You almost got your father killed?” Opal nodded. “How?” Opal let out a sigh. “If I’m going to tell then I want to do it with the rest of the team, they deserve to hear as much as you.” Blaze nodded in understanding. “Then we will wait until we find Blake or when she returns.” That made Opal smile. “Now, let’s go and see if Luna is still at Beacon.” They headed to their room. When they arrived, Blaze used his scroll to unlock the door, he held the door open to Opal so she could walk in. “What a charmer.” She said with tease in her voice as she walk in, Blaze just rolled his eyes of what she said, he then walk in after her. Once inside, Blaze turned on the lights so they could see better, and they saw Luna sitting on her bed. She was sitting in the corner of her bed, her legs was up against her chest and her arms was rap around them. She was actually shaking a little. Opal walk over to her. “Luna, are you okay?” She asked her team mate as she sat down in the bed. “No, not really. I messed up today, just running off like that, you guys must think I’m pretty pathetic.” Luna said as tears came. The Blaze spoke. “Luna, none of us think that you are pathetic, you just had a bad day and I think something happened in your past that made you run of like that.” Blaze was right, something happened in her past and talking about it was probably the worst part for Luna. She wanted to tell them but every time she tried to she got cold feet, her words chock in he throat, and her brain was screaming no. She wanted to tell them, but it was just too hard. Luna felt a hand on her shoulder it was Opal, and she had a warm smile on her. “Listen Luna, if it to difficult to talk about then you don’t have to, it’s up to you.” Blaze just nodded in agreement. Then Luna let out a heavy sighed. “No, I’ll tell you. The whole thing started before I was born.” Blaze and Opal gave each other a confusion look when they heard that. “Yes, I know it sounds stupide but just let me tell the story. Before I was born my parents decided to take a trip to one off the cities outside Menagerie with my older sister who was four years old, don’t ask me what the city’s name my father never said which one the visit. Anyway, while in this city my sister wonder off from my parents and just disappeared, my parents started to searched for her and thanks that they were former huntsmen, they found her very fast.” Luna rubbed the side of her head. “Some humans had managed to grabbed her up in the street and was going to sell her as a slave.” Opal placed a hand over her mouth when she heard that while Blaze just thought how disgusting it was. “When my mother saw that, she snapped, killing every human that was part of it all. My father tried to stop her, but she didn’t listen at all, she was too angry to listen to reason.” She then pulled her legs even closer to her body. “About six months after the incident I was born but my childhood wasn’t that great, my parents got a divorce right after I was born, and my father raised my alone.” Then Blaze spoke up. “What about your mother? Why didn’t she raise you?” He asked a good question. “After my sister was kidnapped my mother just focus on her, ignoring me. It turns out I was the cause of my parents breaking up.” She then started to cry. “Maybe I should never have been born.” Opal gave her a hug. “It’s okay Luna, you don’t have to tell us more.” Luna sniffed a few times. “No, I want to.” Opal let her continue. “While I was young I had no idea why my parents wasn’t living together, I ask my father many times why, but he just said I have to wait until I was older, I never like that answer. When I was old enough he told me the reason, I hated to think I was the reason for my parents break up.” Then she started to cry again. Opal decided to talk about something ells. “What about your sister? Did you get to know her at least?” Luna nodded. “Yes, when I was six years old she managed to find us, and we spend some time together in secret but that all change when out mother found out and my sister joined the White Fang.” Luna got a sombre face. “That was four years ago, and I haven’t seen her since.” Then Blaze asked the question he shouldn’t have asked. “Luna, what’s your sister name?” “It’s Celestia.” When Blaze heard that he almost had a heart attack, it felt like it. He felt pretty stupid he didn’t see that Luna was Celestia’s little sister, he learned about in school back in Equestria. He felt even more stupid that he couldn’t remember if before, but he had other things to think about since he got to Remnant. Opal notice that their team leader was acting a little weird. “Blaze, are you ok?” Blaze placed a hand on his face and started to rube it. “Yeah, it’s just been a long day.” Opal didn’t buy it, but she didn’t ask. “Luna,” She look at him. “you haven’t told us why you ran earlier today.” Luna nodded. “Right, three years ago I started to train to become a huntress and my farther trained me but there was one thing he wasn’t very good at and that was hand to hand combat. Then he one day mention that my mother was good at it, so I decided to find her.” She then look down on the bed. “That was a mistake.” Luna then started to tremble. “She started to yell at, telling that I was a mistake, that I was never meant to be born at all.” Luna then started to cry. Opal gave the crying faunus a hug. “That’s why you ran, you got flashbacks of your mother yelling at you.” Luna nodded. “Pretty much. I know it’s dumb reason but…” Then Blaze cut her off “No, it isn’t.” Both of them look at their leader. “You had a bad experience with your mother and there nothing wrong with that but maybe you should have told us that then I would have been a little nicer to you.” Luna let out a sigh. “Your right, I should have said something and for that I am sorry.” She then notice something. “By the way, where’s Blake? Why isn’t she here?” Blaze and Opal gave each other a nervous look. “Something happened while we were in Vale.” “Luna was now curious. Luna was in shocked when she heard what had happened in Vale. “So, they found out that Blake was a faunus and she ran away.” Opal nodded. “Pretty much.” “What do we now?” Luna asked her team mates. “We wait and see if Blake returns and if she doesn’t, then we go and look for her.” Blaze told them. Opal and Luna didn’t like the plan, but they agreed.
